The dual-mode adsorption model was used to investigate the adsorption behavior of cochineal natural dye on wool fibers. Kinetic, thermodynamic, and equilibrium characteristics were investigated in terms of the adsorption isotherm, affinity, enthalpy and entropy changes, dyeing rate, diffusion coefficient, and activation energy of dye diffusion. The results revealed the prominent role of dyeing pH in determination of dyeing mechanism and dye adsorption isotherm type. At pH 4, dual Langmuir-Nernst model with the highest correlation coefficient was found as the most appropriate isotherm model to describe the adsorption behavior of cochineal onto wool fibers while at pH 6, the adsorption isotherm was the Nernst type. Cochineal adsorption onto wool was exothermic which resulted in progressive fall in affinity and equilibrium dye up-take values with increasing temperature. Moreover, dyeing rate steadily increased with temperature. At pH 4, affinity, dyeing rate, and diffusion coefficient demonstrated higher values compared to pH 6 whereas enthalpy and entropy changes, and activation energy showed lower values. Additionally, negative value for activation energy was obtained at pH 6. The results are deliberated based on the different possible interactions between cochineal dye and wool fiber.  相似文献

In this research, usefulness of IRS-LISS-III data of Gorgan Bay, South-east of Caspian Sea located in North of Iran for water turbidity mapping, has been tested. After correction of geometric and radiometric errors, the resulting radiance data were used for examination of correlations between the remotely sensed and in situ water turbidity data simultaneously measured by the Secchi depth approach. Results of this research showed good relations between the Secchi depth and spectral data. The fitted statistical model was very significant (R2 = 0.77) and test of the model performance by independent samples was encouraging. Because of the low costs encountered with acquisition and processing of remotely sensed data, further research in larger scales for the purpose of more precise test of the approach for water turbidity mapping and monitoring is recommended.  相似文献

Neospora is one of the protozoans that can infect the male and female’s reproduction system. Despite the existence of N. caninum in the genitalia, its effect on sperm characteristics was not studied yet. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the influence of natural neosporosis on the sperm parameters of bulls. Using 30 bulls with neosporosis diagnosed by modified agglutination test and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and 15 healthy bulls, some sperm parameters such as sperm concentration, viability, motility, and morphology were studied and compared. Also, the activity of super oxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPX), and malondialdehyde (MDA) level as the biomarker of lipid peroxidation was investigated. Results showed that sperm concentration, viability, and motility were significantly lower in bulls with neosporosis in the present study. There were no significant differences in activities of SOD and MDA level but GPX activity was significantly increased in infected bulls.  相似文献

In this study, the morphology and crystal polymorphism of electrospun blend nanocomposite of graphene filled-polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)/poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) nanofibers were investigated. The preparation of the nanofibers was carried out by synthesis of PMMA/graphene as a masterbatch through in-situ polymerization, and then followed by compounding with PVDF solution in the different ratios. The process of electrospinning was done at three selective conditions of temperature, moist and ordinary environment. Crystallinity, morphology and thermal properties of nanofibers were characterized by X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD), differential scanning calorimetric (DSC), Transmittance Electron Microscopy (TEM), Thermogravimetric Analyses (TGA), and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopic (FE-SEM). The enhancement of β crystal formation in the electrospun graphene-filled blend nanofibers was confirmed by XRD and DSC results. This can be ascribed by the benefits of solution casting, mechanical stretching, high electric field, PMMA interactions and graphene restrictions, altogether in one simple process. Also, presence of water molecules during the electrospinning causes the orientation of fluorine atoms in PVDF due to polar-polar interactions which enhance the polar conformation even in the pure PVDF nanofibers.  相似文献

In the last decade, preparation of multifunctional composites have attracted researchers around the World for multi-purpose application. In this regard, we produced polyvinylpyrrolidone/carbon nanotubes/cotton (PVP/CNTs/cotton) nanocomposite by coating cotton fabric via pad-dry-cure under UV irradiation. Several characterization methods were used to investigate the functionality and durability including scanning electron microscopy, thermo-gravimetric analysis, flammability test, reflectance spectroscopy, tensile strength test, water absorption and antibacterial analysis. The interactions among PVP molecular chains, CNT particles and cellulose were confirmed by Raman spectroscopy. We observed a uniform coating of PVP/CNTs on the fiber surface. An advantage of our developed method was the strong interfacial interaction among compositions, high durability along with multifunctional properties. PVP/CNT nanocomposite was able not only to improve the thermal stability of cotton, but also provided a reduced flammability and good antibacterial properties. Here, we confirm a simple and versatile method for fabrication of PVP/CNTs/cellulose nanocomposite for multi-purpose applications.  相似文献
