Clinical pharmacokinetic profiles were investigated following intramuscular (i.m.) administration to pigs with a commercial tylosin-florfenicol combination product at a dose of 2.5 mg/kg tylosin and 5 mg/kg florfenicol or 10 mg/kg tylosin and 20 mg/kg florfenicol. The quantitation limit (QL) of florfenicol was 0.1 microg/ml, the inter-day and intra-day precision (CV%) were both beow 10%. The quantitation limit (QL) of tylosin was 0.05 microg/mL. The pharmacokinetic characteristics after i.m. doses were fitted by a one compartment open model. A fourfold decrease in the normal dose of each drug (20 mg/kg to 5 mg/kg for florfenicol, and 10 mg/kg to 2.5 mg/kg for tylosin) resulted in a corresponding two fold decrease in each drug of the maximum plasma concentration (C(max)) and the area under curve (AUC) values. 相似文献

The role of rhoA/rho-associated kinase (ROK) signaling pathways in agonist-induced contraction of the rat myometrium was investigated. We measured the [Ca(2+)](i)-force relationship, phosphorylation of myosin regulatory light chains (MLC(20)) in intact tissue and the Ca(2+)-sensitization of force in permeabilized myometrial cells of rat. In measurements of the relationship between [Ca(2+)](i) and tension in intact tissue, Y-27632, a ROK inhibitor, significantly attenuated the carbachol-induced contraction without changing [Ca (2+)](i). Phosphorylation of MLC(20) was increased by carbachol and this increased phosphorylation was blocked by treatment of tissue with Y-27632. In tension measurements of single hyperpermeable cells, carbachol evoked sustained contraction at constant pCa 6.7 and these agonist-induced contractions were decreased by treatment with Y-27632. These results suggest that activation of a ROK-mediated signaling pathway(s) plays an important role in agonist-induced alterations in MLC(20) phosphorylation and force of rat myometrium. 相似文献

Clinical grape poisoning in two dogs (a 1.6-year-old male Shih Tzu and a 5-year-old female Yorkshire Terrier) was described in the present study. Clinical signs included decreased urine output in the Shih Tzu and ataxia in the Yorkshire Terrier after grape ingestion. The Shih Tzu died 5 days post-grape ingestion, while the Yorkshire Terrier died 3 days post-grape ingestion. Erythematous serosae and mucosae, multifocal red small intestinal foci, and blood and grape seeds were identified in the intestinal lumen. Brownish-yellow crystals were bilaterally identified in the renal pelvis. The primary histological findings were acute tubular necrosis of the proximal convoluted tubules, severe necrosis, and mineralization in the renal cortical tubules. Blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, and alanine aminotransferase were increased in the dogs. Many Korean veterinary clinicians have suspected clinical grape poisoning. However, to our knowledge, grape poisoning has not been identified by pathologic and clinicopathologic basis until this writing in Korea. Education and knowledge about the risks of grape poisoning is necessary for the prevention of accidental exposures. 相似文献

Recirculating subirrigation systems are frequently exposed to the risk of plant pathogens transmission, which may deteriorate the growth and quality of the plants. The transmission of Phytophthora nicotianae was examined using Kalanchoe blossfeldiana cv. New Alter in two recirculating subirrigation systems, a nutrient-flow wick culture (NFW) system and an ebb and flow (EBB) system. When the nutrient solution was infested, the pathogen was recovered from roots in both subirrigation systems. However, foliar blights and browning of roots appeared 4 and 7 weeks, respectively, after inoculation in the EBB system. Only a little discoloration appeared in the NFW system. The fresh and dry weights were lower in the EBB system than in the NFW system. When growing medium was inoculated, the pathogen was unable to be isolated from the plants in the NFW system. However, disease symptoms appeared in the EBB system 4 weeks after inoculation, and the pathogen was observed in the basal leaves and roots. Similar to the infested nutrient solution, the plant growth in the EBB system was inhibited. These results suggested that when the nutrient solution was infested, pathogen transmission could occur in plants in both systems, although differences existed with regard to disease symptoms and the time it took for symptoms to appear. However, we observed that when growing medium was inoculated the pathogen was not transmitted to adjacent plants in the NFW system using wick. 相似文献

Ochraceopetalin (1), a mixed-biogenetic salt compound and its component 2 were isolated from the culture broths of a marine-derived fungus, Aspergillus ochraceopetaliformis. Based on combined spectroscopic and chemical analyses, the structure of 1 was determined to be a sulfonated diphenylether-aminol-amino acid ester guanidinium salt of an unprecedented structural class, while 2 was determined to be the corresponding sulfonated diphenylether. Ochraceopetaguanidine (3), the other guanidine-bearing aminol amino acid ester component, was also prepared and structurally elucidated. The knot depth ratio (KDR) evaluation method was designed to quantitatively evaluate the amount of knot in dimension lumber
by a single-pass X-ray radiation. To verify the proposed method, KDR values for 38-mm-thick specimens were predicted, and
they were compared with the actual measured KDR values. The knot is surrounded by the transition zone, and the density of
the knot and the transition zone is higher than the clear wood. Because the average density of the transition zone was similar
to the knot density, it was found that the proposed method gives the KDR values for the knot area including the transition
zone. The coefficients of determination between the predicted and measured KDR values were 0.87 and 0.83 for Japanese larch
and red pine specimens, respectively. Using the KDR information, the ratio of knot area including transition zone to cross-sectional
area was calculated. The presence of latewood and earlywood in the same path of the X-ray radiation caused discrepancies in
the estimation of KDR values because the density of latewood is much higher than that of earlywood. Fortunately, latewood
and earlywood are repeated in a cross section, so the amount of overestimation and underestimation was expected to be nearly
identical. As expected, the relationship between the predicted area ratio and the real area ratio of knot and transition zone
was strong with R

Salterns, one of the most extreme natural hypersaline environments, are a rich source of halophilic and halotolerant microorganisms, but they remain largely underexplored ecological niches in the discovery of bioactive secondary metabolites. In continued efforts to investigate the metabolic potential of microbial populations from chemically underexplored sites, three new lipopeptides named iturin F1, iturin F2 and iturin A9 (1–3), along with iturin A8 (4), were isolated from Bacillus sp. KCB14S006 derived from a saltern. The structures of the isolated compounds were established by 1D-, 2D-NMR and HR-ESIMS, and their absolute configurations were determined by applying advanced Marfey’s method and CD spectroscopy. All isolates exhibited significant antifungal activities against various pathogenic fungi and moderate cytotoxic activities toward HeLa and srcts-NRK cell lines. This study examined the occurrence of Anaplasma spp. and hemoplasma infection in leopard cats, Prionailurus bengalensis euptilurus, in Korea. Twenty-nine biological samples were tested by molecular analysis. Two (6.9%) and eight (27.6%) tested specimens were positive for Anaplasma bovis and hemoplasma infection, respectively. Based on our results, Anaplasma/Ehrlichia spp. and hemoplasma are regularly infecting leopard cat populations of Korea. Considering their endangered status, regular monitoring of infection by arthropod-borne pathogens known to cause clinical symptoms in feline hosts such as Anaplasma/Ehrlichia spp. and hemoplasma would be crucial as part of ongoing conservation efforts. 相似文献
