Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) is classified as one of the most harmful pest of tomato crops. Many species of predators and parasitoids including Trichogramma cacoeciae (Marchal) (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae) are noted as potential candidates used for biological control of this pest. Therefore, the use of selective insecticides is critical to conserve and protect natural enemies in the field. This study assessed the side effects of insecticides on different development stages of T. cacoeciae under laboratory conditions. For this, eleven pesticides such as: Indoxacarb, spiromesifen, cyromazin, chlorfenapyr, cypermethrin, diafenthiuron, chlorantraniliprole, spinosad, azadirachtin, Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) and virus HaNPV were tested. This study shows that indoxacarb, spiromesifen, chlorfenapyr, cypermethrin, diafenthiuron and spinosad had a negative effect on immature stages of Trichogramma. All insecticides residues on tomato leaves were found to be toxic to Trichogramma adults except azadirachtin, Bt and virus HaNPV. Therefore, the use of the tested natural products (azadirachtin, Bt and HaNPV) at the recommended doses is viable, having no negative impact on T. cacoeciae in tomato crops. 相似文献

The genetic variation of six Tunisian Myrtus communis L. (Myrtaceae) populations was assessed using nine isozymes coding for 17 putative loci and 79 RAPD markers, amplified by five decamer random primers. The analysed populations belonged to three bioclimatic zones (lower humid, sub-humid and upper semi-arid). A high genetic diversity within populations was detected both by isozymes and RAPDs. The level of variation differed according to bioclimate. Populations collected from sub-humid bioclimate showed more polymorphism than those grown in the upper semi-arid zone. For all populations, the genetic diversity revealed by RAPDs was more pronounced than that detected with isozymes. A high differentiation among populations related to bioclimate and geographic distance was revealed by both methods. Population’s structure based on RAPD markers was more concordant with bioclimatic zones in comparison with isozymes. Differentiation between ecological groups was higher than that revealed within groups. Conservation programs should take into account the level of genetic diversity within population revealed by the two complementary classes of markers according to bioclimate. 相似文献

By activating corn starch with acetic acid and using acetic anhydride as an esterifying agent, starch acetates with increasing degrees of substitution were obtained using microwave assistance when the amount of iodine varied from 0.5 to 1.75 mmol. The study of Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectra, X-ray diffraction pattern, thermal properties, granule morphology, water absorption and solubility, revealed important changes on the physical properties of the obtained products related to the increase of the iodine content. As shown by the scanning electron microscope (SEM), a specific structure on the granule surface was discerned for each amount of iodine. By its exo-corrosive action on starch, iodine indirectly induced loss of crystallinity, decrease of the glass transition and melting temperatures, and a progressive reduction in the water absorption and water solubility index of the modified products. Starch esters with better hydrophobicity and good processability for bio-based material applications were synthesized. Alternatively, the variation in the concentration of the iodine could also be of interest in special purposes, in which starch granules with controlled surface porosity are needed. 相似文献

The use of municipal solid waste compost (MSWC) as soil organic amendment is of an economic and environmental interest. However, little is known about the effectiveness of MSWC application on agricultural soil in northern Africa arid climate. We assessed the impact of five years' applications of different organic and mineral fertilizers on wheat grain yields and soil chemical and microbial characteristics. Soils were treated with MSWC at rates of 40 (C1) and 80 (C2) Mg ha?1, farmyard manure at a rate of 40 Mg ha?1 (M), chemical fertilizers (Cf) and the combinations (C1Cf, C2Cf, MCf). Wheat grain yield was enhanced with all amendments. Parallel increases of heavy metal levels and faecal coliform were also recorded except for Cf treatments. Based on wheat grain yield, heavy metal and faecal coliform data, we determined the treatment effectiveness index (Exx), calculated by dividing the pollutant increase ratio by the grain yield increase ratio. The treatment effectiveness index EC1 indicated lower faecal and heavy metal pollution with positive gains in wheat yields. Despite polluting effects on soil determined by the different treatments, no significant differences between treatments were observed in total bacterial count and soil bacterial community structure, as shown by 16S rRNA gene PCR-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis banding patterns and 16S rRNA gene Length Heterogeneity-PCR analysis. According to the collected data, the use of MSWC at a rate of 40 Mg ha?1 might be recommended. 相似文献

The interactive effects of salinity and potassium (K+) availability on biomass production, water status, and ionic composition were investigated in Hordeum maritimum, an annual grass growing natively on saline soils. Plants were grown for 7 weeks on Hewitt nutrient solution supplied with NaCl (0, 100, 150, 200, and 300 mM) combined with low (0.232 mM) or high (5.8 mM) K+ levels. Independent of potassium availability, dry matter of both roots and shoots decreased consistently with increasing NaCl levels in the culture medium, in association with a significant reduction of the shoot water content. This salt‐induced growth reduction did not result from a restriction of K+ nutrition, since H. maritimum expressed similar growth under both low and high K+ supply. NaCl decreased shoot K+ concentrations. This effect was more pronounced in plants grown at high K+ supply than in plants grown at low K+ supply. This result suggests that the absorption systems were strongly selective for K+, and that this selectivity was enhanced by salt. 相似文献

The genetic diversity within and among seven Tunisian natural populations of Hypericum humifusum L., from different geographic regions and bioclimates, was assessed using 11 isozymic polymorphic loci, and 166 RAPD markers amplified by 8 primers. The genetic diversity within populations based on allozymes was higher (P = 72.46%, Ap = 2.01 and He = 0.29), than that revealed by RAPDs (29.52 < P < 39.16% and 0.150 < H < 0.200). Both markers yielded high estimates of genetic differentiation and low gene flow (Nm = 0.257 and 0.508 for RAPD and allozymes, respectively) among populations at all space scales. However, the level of differentiation revealed by RAPDs (ΦST = 0.494; GST = 0.561) was higher than that based on allozymes (FST = 0.117). No correlation (Mantel test) among genetic (FST and ΦST matrices) and geographical distance matrices was observed indicating no isolation by distance. Cluster analyses from allozyme and RAPD loci did not completely agree. The dendrogram based on allozymes yielded higher separation among most populations, while that from RAPDs separated populations into three distinct subclusters. Groupings of populations, in both dendrograms, did not reflect spatial geographic or bioclimatic patterns, indicating specific adaptation of populations to local environments. The correlation between matrices of allozyme and RAPD band frequencies was not significant (Mantel test). The dendrogram obtained from combined data yielded similar population groupings to that probed by RAPDs suggesting higher accuracy of these markers. Given the high differentiation among all populations even at a low geographic distance, ex situ conservation should involve extensive seed collection from all populations from all bioclimatic zones. The populations from the upper semi-arid bioclimate exhibiting relatively high level of genetic diversity should be first protected. 相似文献
