研究了陕北黄绵土,关中土与陕南水稻土土壤剖面中硝酸盐的分布与累积,分析了硝酸盐淋移与土壤剖面粘粒含量的关系。结果表明,黄绵土由于粘粒含量少,土壤疏松,氮肥施入土壤后硝化作用速度快,氮素多以硝态氮存在于土壤中,遇到过量的灌溉或降水,容易引起硝酸盐淋失。在米脂的川道地,施肥2个月后,硝酸盐峰值在50cm左右,4个多月后,峰值下移至100cm左右,6个月后,该峰值下降到130cm左右,一年内,硝酸盐的峰值已经消失,分布在130至350cm之间。因此,在黄绵土地区可以灌溉的川道地,氮素损失的主要途径是硝酸盐淋失。关中土,粘粒含量相对较高,硝化作用速度快,但由于在80120cm有一粘化层,阻碍了水分与硝酸盐的向下淋移,使得大部分硝酸盐累积在0100cm土层,其累积量占到0400cm总累积量的64%~74%,而200400cm仅占到7%~13%。而且淋移到100cm以下的硝酸盐,也通过反硝化损失了。陕南水稻土,由于深层土壤水饱和,硝酸盐难以向下淋移,氮素主要累积在土壤表层。由于下层土壤长期处于厌气条件,即使淋移到下层的硝酸盐也通过反硝化作用而损失掉了。  相似文献

Biodiversity determination at any organization level is a heuristic tool in environmental management. The Shannon biodiversity index stands out among the various available indexes that combine both components of the concept: species number and their relative abundance. Whatever the index used, an aspect that has received little attention in the study of biodiversity is the uncertainty quantification, precluding hypothesis testing. Applying standard bootstrap methods to estimate the index allows us to build confidence bounds, but it yields underestimated indexes due to unsampled species. This article explores the empirical mean coverage of confidence intervals for the Shannon biodiversity index when the total number of species in the sample itself is subject to random variation. I analyze their dependence on evenness, total abundance, and number of species within the community. Very low empirical coverages of bootstrap confidence intervals were obtained using the standard and bias-corrected techniques. I propose a new technique using the difference of the original sample and each bootstrap replication to build an empirical, adjustment for the bias, and get an adjusted point estimator and corresponding confidence interval. A polyphenol extract from a Corbières (France) red wine (P, 200 mg/kg), ethanol (E, 1 mL/kg), or a combination of both (PE) was administered by daily gavage for 6 weeks to healthy control or streptozotocin (60 mg/kg i.v.)-induced diabetic rats (180-200 g). Treatment groups included C or D (untreated control or diabetic) and CP, CE, or CPE (treated control) or DP, DE, or DPE (treated diabetic). P treatment induced a reduction in body growth, food intake, and glycemia in both CP and DP groups. In DP, hyperglycemia was reduced when measured 1 h after daily treatment but not at sacrifice (no treatment on that day). The hyperglycemic response to the oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and plasma insulin at sacrifice were impaired similarly in DP and D groups. In contrast, in DE or DPE, body growth was partially restored while hyperglycemia was reduced both during treatment and at sacrifice. In addition, hyperglycemia response to OGTT was reduced and plasma insulin was higher in DE or DPE than in D animals, indicating a long-term correction of diabetes in ethanol-treated animals. Morphometric studies showed that ethanol partially reversed the enlarging effect of diabetes on the mesenteric arterial system while the polyphenolic treatment enhanced it in the absence of ethanol. In summary, our study shows that (i). a polyphenol extract from red wine ("used at a pharmacological" dose) reduces glycemia and decreases food intake and body growth in diabetic and nondiabetic animals and (ii). ethanol ("nutritional" dose) administered alone or in combination with polyphenols is able to correct the diabetic state. Some of the effects of polyphenols were masked by the effects of ethanol, notably in diabetic animals. Further studies will determine the effect of "nutritional" doses of polyphenols as well as their mechanism of action.  相似文献

Fluorescent pseudomonads producing the antimicrobial compound 2,4-diacetylphloroglucinol (Phl) are being studied extensively for use as biocontrol agents of soil-borne fungal diseases. Some of them can produce pyoluteorin (Plt) in addition to Phl, whereas others synthesise only Phl. Here, a collection of seven Phl+ Plt- pseudomonads, seven Phl+ Plt+ pseudomonads and seven Phl- biocontrol pseudomonads were compared for protection of plant roots against fungal pathogens. The seven Phl+ Plt+ pseudomonads were identical by restriction analysis of amplified spacer ribosomal DNA (spacer ARDRA), whereas the Phl+ Plt- pseudomonads and especially the Phl- biocontrol pseudomonads were quite diverse by spacer ARDRA. Collectively, the Phl+ Plt- pseudomonads proved superior to the Phl+ Plt+ pseudomonads and the Phl- biocontrol pseudomonads for protection of tomato against Fusarium crown and root rot (in rockwool microcosms) or cucumber against Pythium damping-off (in non-sterile soil microcosms). There was no correlation between protection in vivo and inhibition of the corresponding fungal pathogen on plates. However, there was a significant correlation between the amount of Phl produced on plates and protection of tomato against Fusarium crown and root rot, but not with protection of cucumber against Pythium damping-off. Interestingly, the minority of strains unable to produce HCN, an extracellular protease, or both, were among those unable to protect plants in both pathosystems. A seedling assay was developed to compare pseudomonads for suppression of Fusarium crown and root rot in vitro, and a significant correlation was found between disease severity in vitro and in vivo. Overall, results suggest that promising biocontrol pseudomonads may be identified based on the ability to produce Phl and/or specific ARDRA-based fingerprints.  相似文献

Two experiments were performed in order to test the effects of grinding and pelleting wheat (experiment 1) or maize (experiment 2) on amino acids (AA) standardized (SID) and true (TID) ileal digestibility. Basal ileal endogenous losses (IEL), used to calculate SID from apparent digestibility, were determined by feeding a protein-free diet. Total IEL required to calculate TID were estimated as the difference between total and dietary losses determined according to the isotope dilution technique using 15N-labeled crops. Wheat and maize were ground to compare two different mean particle sizes (d50 500 μm and 1000 μm). Then, a fraction of the 500-μm mash was further pelleted through two dies of different thicknesses (16 vs. 20 mm for wheat and 16 vs. 24 mm for maize), holes diameter 4 mm in both cases. Cereals were incorporated in 4 isoproteic diets either in mash form (fine vs. coarse mash) or in pelleted form (thin vs. thick die). In experiment 1, wheat was associated with rapeseed meal diets, while in experiment 2, maize was associated with soybean meal. The reduction of wheat particle size affected neither AA SID nor TID. In contrast, the pelleting treatment significantly improved protein and most AA SID and TID. In addition, total IEL of protein and several AA were significantly reduced when the thicker die was used. Numeric improvements of protein and AA SID were observed with reduction of maize particle size and this was associated with a significant decrease in total IEL so that TID was not modified. Further improvements of AA SID and TID occurred with pelleting of maize, without significant effect on IEL regardless of die thickness.  相似文献

OBJECTIVES: To report an ovine model that can be used to evaluate the efficacy of bone substitutes for repair of segmental diaphyseal bone defects. STUDY DESIGN: Experimental study. ANIMALS: Eleven 2-year-old Pré-Alpes Sheep. METHODS: Mid-diaphyseal metatarsal bone defects (25 mm long) were stabilized by a dynamic compression plate over a polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) cement spacer, and by external coaptation. The PMMA spacer was removed at 6 weeks by incising the encapsulating membrane. The defect remained unfilled (Group 1; n=5) or was filled with morselized autologous corticocancellous graft (Group 2; n=6), the membrane sutured closed, and external coaptation applied for 6 months, when healing was evaluated. RESULTS: Radiographic, computed tomographic, and histologic examinations at 6 months after the 2nd surgery revealed non-union in ungrafted defects whereas grafted defects showed bone healing. The induced membrane had blood vessels, CBFA1+ cells, and very few macrophages entrapped in a collagenous tissue positive for type I collagen. CONCLUSION: This ovine metatarsal defect model resulted in a critical-size defect (non-union) that healed when grafted. The PMMA-induced membrane constrained the graft, was well vascularized, and may have osteogenic properties. CLINICAL RELEVANCE: This model may be useful to evaluate new strategies in bone tissue engineering because the PMMA-induced membrane may help confine bone morphogenetic proteins, skeletal stem cells, or other agents to the defect cavity where they could be useful to enhance bone formation.  相似文献

Phytophthora infestans is the causal agent of potato late blight. This pathogen is usually controlled by fungicides, but new European regulations have imposed changes in crop protection management that have led to a search for alternative control measures. The induction of plant defence responses by elicitors is a promising new strategy compatible with sustainable agriculture. This study investigated the effect of eliciting a defence response in potato against P. infestans using a formulation of the COS‐OGA elicitor that combines cationic chitosan oligomers (COS) and anionic pectin oligomers (OGA). Trials were conducted under greenhouse conditions to assess the ability of COS‐OGA to control P. infestans. The results showed that three foliar applications with this elicitor significantly increased potato protection against late blight in controlled conditions. The activation of potato defence genes was also evaluated by RT‐qPCR during these trials. Two pathogenesis‐related proteins, basic PR‐1 and acidic PR‐2, were rapidly and significantly up‐regulated by the elicitor treatment. Therefore, these results suggest that the COS‐OGA elicitor increases the protection of potato against P. infestans and that this protection could be explained by an increase in the expression of potato defence genes rather than by biocide activity.  相似文献

Understanding how veterinary practitioners make clinical decisions, and how they use scientific information to inform their decisions, is important to optimize animal care, client satisfaction, and veterinary education. We aimed to develop an understanding of private practitioners' process of decision making. On the basis of a grounded-theory qualitative approach, we conducted a telephone survey and semi-structured face-to-face interviews. We identified a decision-making framework consisting of two possible processes to make decisions, five steps in the management of a clinical case, and three influencing factors. To inform their decision, veterinary surgeons rarely take the evidence-based medicine (EBM) approach. They consult first-opinion colleagues, specialists, laboratories, and the Internet rather than scientific databases and peer-reviewed literature, mainly because of limited time. Most interviewees suggested the development of educational interventions to better develop decision-making skills in veterinary schools. Adequate information and EBM tools are needed to optimize the time spent in query and assessment of scientific information, and practitioners need to be trained in their use.  相似文献
