Stimulation of long lasting, protective immunity to respiratory viruses is often difficult to achieve with conventional respiratory vaccines. Polymeric nanoparticles, incorporating viral proteins have been shown to offer sustained release of antigen, with consequent prolongued stimulation of the respiratory immune system. In this paper the efficacy of two nanoparticle vaccines (poly-lactide-co-glycolide, PLGA; polymethylmethacrylate, PMMA), incorporating proteins of bovine parainfluenza type 3 virus (BPI-3) was investigated. As a preliminary to experiments in calves, it was considered essential to demonstrate immunogenicity of the experimental vaccine in mice. Mice immunised with PLGA nanoparticles, containing BPI-3 proteins, developed higher levels of virus-specific antibody than mice immunised with the PMMA vaccine or with soluble viral proteins alone. Immunoblotting using serum from the vaccinated mice, demonstrated strong reactions against the major BPI-3 proteins.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to determine the immunolocalization of NGF and its receptors (TrkA and p75LNGFR) in the reproductive tract of the Japanese Shiba goats. Five adult goats were used in this study and sections of ovaries, uteri and oviducts were immunostained by the avidin-biotin-peroxidase complex method (ABC). The results showed that NGF and its receptors (TrkA and p75LNGFR) were expressed in granulosa cells, theca cells, interstitial cells and lutein cells in ovaries. Immunoreactions for NGF, TrkA and p75LNGFR were also detectable in epithelial cells and muscle cells of the ampulla and isthmus of the oviduct, and in epithelial cells and uterine glands of the uterus. These results strongly suggest autocrine and paracrine regulation of reproductive function by NGF in the reproductive tract of female Shiba goats.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to assess the effects of guanidinoacetic acid (GAA) on growth performance, creatine deposition and blood amino acid (AA) profile on broiler chickens. In Exp. 1, a total of 540 one‐day‐old Arbor Acres male broilers (average initial body weight, 45.23 ± 0.35 g) were divided randomly into five treatments with six replicates of 18 chicks each. Broilers were fed corn–soybean meal‐basal diets supplemented with 0, 600, 800, 1,000 or 1,200 mg/kg GAA for 42 days respectively. Results showed that dietary GAA inclusion increased average daily gain (ADG) and improved gain‐to‐feed ratio (G:F) from 1 to 42 days (p < 0.01). However, average daily feed intake was unaffected by dietary supplementation of GAA. As GAA inclusion increased, the contents of creatine in plasma and kidney were increased (linear, p < 0.01), while the contents of GAA and creatine in liver were decreased (linear, p < 0.01). Similarly, GAA supplementation was inversely related to concentrations of most essential AA in plasma. In Exp. 2, a total of 432 one‐day‐old Arbor Acres male broilers (average initial body weight, 39.78 ± 0.58 g) were divided randomly into four treatments with six replicates of 18 chicks each. Birds were fed a corn–soybean meal‐basal diet supplemented with 0, 200, 400 or 600 mg/kg GAA for 42 days respectively. Dietary inclusion of 600 mg/kg GAA significantly increased ADG and G:F of broilers (p < 0.05). In conclusion, dietary supplementation of 600–1,200 mg/kg GAA can effectively improve the growth performance in broiler chickens by affecting creatine metabolism and utilization efficiency of essential AA, and 600 mg/kg GAA is the minimum dose for improving performance.  相似文献

Follicular cysts, which is a common infertility disease, can cause financial losses in pig breeding programmes. The pathogenesis and mechanisms of the formation of follicular cysts are not understood clearly. In our previous study, the concentration of retinol‐binding protein 4 (RBP‐4) in the follicular fluid (FF) of the ovary with follicular cysts was found to be significantly higher than that of normal ovary, thereby suggesting that RBP‐4 may be a candidate biomarker for porcine follicular cysts. To study the association of RBP‐4 and follicular cysts further, we detected the polymorphisms of the RBP‐4 gene and the presence of follicular cysts by PCR‐Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) assay. In this study, we screened the mutations of RBP‐4 gene in 79 sows with follicular cysts and 100 normal sows without cysts. Results showed that +249‐63G>C polymorphisms were significantly associated with follicular cysts, and sows with CC genotype in RBP‐4 gene had a high risk of developing follicular cysts. Hence, our findings further proved that RBP‐4 may be a novel biomarker for follicular cysts, which may be valuable for the diagnosis of follicular cysts and molecular breeding of pigs.  相似文献

研究了不同温度(8℃/5℃、15℃/12℃、22℃/15℃、28℃/25℃、35℃/28℃)处理对醉马草内生真菌共生体幼苗的形态指标、叶绿素、可溶性糖以及麦角酰胺和麦角新碱含量的影响,以期明确共生体幼苗生长和产碱的最适温度。结果表明,株高、根长和生物量均在22℃/15℃处理下达到最大,其中株高显著(P0.05)高于其它4个处理,根长显著(P0.05)高于28℃/25℃和35℃/28℃处理,生物量显著(P0.05)高于8℃/5℃、28℃/25℃和35℃/28℃处理,分蘖在15℃/12℃处达到最大,显著(P0.05)高于8℃/5℃、28℃/25℃和35℃/28℃处理。叶绿素在22℃/15℃处理下达到最大,显著(P0.05)高于8℃/5℃、15℃/12℃和35℃/28℃处理。可溶性糖在5个温度处理下差异不显著(P0.05)。在处理时间为15 d时,麦角酰胺和麦角新碱含量均在22℃/15℃处理下达到最大。综上所述,最适宜共生体幼苗生长、麦角酰胺和麦角新碱积累的处理温度是22℃/15℃。  相似文献

以北方风沙区、黄土区、黑土区的典型植物篱为研究对象,在测定植物篱系统带内、带间部位土壤质地、土壤孔隙度、有机质含量、水稳性团聚体等指标的基础上,采用Van Genuchten模型模拟了不同地区植物篱土壤水分特征曲线。结果表明,风沙区、黑土区植物篱带内土壤孔隙度、有机质、水稳性团聚体含量均比带间高,黄土区植物篱带内土壤孔隙度、有机质、水稳性团聚体含量则比带间的低;各区域植物篱系统带内土壤含水率均比带间高,并且土壤持水力(土壤含水率)随着土壤水吸力的增大而减弱,风沙区植物篱带内、带间土壤持水力最弱,黑土区植物篱相应部位土壤持水力最高。说明植物篱具有改善土壤质地、结构,提高土壤含水率的作用,在治理坡面水土流失方面具有重要意义。  相似文献

以辽南地区引种的6个高丛蓝莓品种为试验材料,通过叶片扫描、“指甲油印迹法”和石蜡切片法对比研究了各品种叶片形态解剖特征。结果表明:北高品种叶片的分形维数高于南高,大粒蓝金最大,库帕最小,但北高品种叶厚小于南高;南高品种气孔大于北高,而气孔密度小于北高品种,品种间气孔形状无明显差异;气孔分布随观察视野的变大皆呈均匀分布到随机分布,北高品种先于南高变为随机分布;南高品种表皮细胞、栅栏组织、海绵组织厚度大于北高,角质层和中脉厚度南北差异较小,但北高品种的中脉与叶片厚度之比高于南高品种;叶片组织紧密度、疏松度和栅海比南北两大种植品系之间无规律性变异,品种之间却存在显著差异。  相似文献
