Evaluating eddy covariance method by large-scale weighing lysimeter in a maize field of northwest China 总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
Accurate determination of evapotranspiration (ET) is useful to develop precise irrigation scheduling. Although eddy covariance (EC) is a direct method which is widely used to measure ET, its performance in arid region of northwest China is not clear. In this study, ET measured by EC (ETEC) was compared with that by large-scale weighing lysimeter (ETL) during the whole growing season of maize in 2009. Energy balance ratio was 0.84 for daytime fluxes, indicating that lack of energy balance closure occurred, so daytime ETEC was adjusted by Bowen-ratio forced closure method. Compared to the corresponding ETL, half-hourly daytime ETEC was underestimated by 21.8% without the adjustment and 4.8% with the adjustment. Furthermore, nighttime ETEC was adjusted using filtering/interpolation method. Mean error between half-hourly nighttime ETEC and ETL decreased from 30.2% without the adjustment to 10.3% with the adjustment. After such adjustment of day and night measurements, daily ETEC was underestimated by 6.2% compared to ETL. These results indicated that the adjusted ETEC well matched with the ETL. Moreover, the discrepancy of adjusted total ETEC and ETL was decreased to 3.2% after subtracting the overestimated ET by lysimeter resulting from irrigation and heavy rainfall events. Thus, after appropriate adjustments of observations, eddy covariance method is accurate in estimating maize ET in the arid region of northwest China. 相似文献

We report the direct detection of solid water ice deposits exposed on the surface of comet 9P/Tempel 1, as observed by the Deep Impact mission. Three anomalously colored areas are shown to include water ice on the basis of their near-infrared spectra, which include diagnostic water ice absorptions at wavelengths of 1.5 and 2.0 micrometers. These absorptions are well modeled as a mixture of nearby non-ice regions and 3 to 6% water ice particles 10 to 50 micrometers in diameter. These particle sizes are larger than those ejected during the impact experiment, which suggests that the surface deposits are loose aggregates. The total area of exposed water ice is substantially less than that required to support the observed ambient outgassing from the comet, which likely has additional source regions below the surface. 相似文献

The application of pesticides is not simply delivering chemicals to the target area. It also involves considering the negative aspects and developing strategies to deal with them during the application process, to ensure the maximization of pesticides use efficiency and the maintenance of the ecosystem. Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) sprayers demonstrate unique advantages compared to traditional ground sprayers, particularly in terms of maneuverability and labor intensity reduction, showed great potential for chemical application in pest control. It is undeniable that there exist challenges in the practice of UAV spraying, such as higher potential risks of pesticide drift or pathogen transmission, uncertainty canopy deposition for different crops, and unexpected leaf breakage induced by downwash flow. Maximizing the utilization of downwash flow while avoiding lateral air movement outside the intended target crop area is a major issue for chemical application with UAV sprayers, particularly in light of the increasingly apparent consensus on the need for enhanced environmental protection during the chemical application process. It must be considered that the operation strategy in different scenarios and for different crop targets is not the same, unique requirements should be given on nozzle atomization, flight parameters, adjuvants and aircraft types in specific working situations. In future, the implementation of spray drift prediction, technical procedures development, and other solutions aimed at reducing pesticide drift and improving deposition quality, is expected to promote the adoption of UAV sprayers by more farmers. © 2023 Society of Chemical Industry. 相似文献

Animal feeds occasionally have some degree of contamination by Aspergillus spp. Even pasteurized milk at times contains the toxic liver carcinogen aflatoxin M1 (AFM1). Confirmation of its presence is now done with solid-phase extraction (SPE) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-fluorescence, using a small enough sample that SPE time is reasonable. In this study 200 mL of milk was extracted using a C18 disk at a flow rate of approximately 100 mL/min and AFM1 quantified by HPLC-tandem mass spectrometry with negative electrospray ionization. The effectiveness and cleanup efficacy of immunoaffinity columns (IAC) was compared with that of Mycosep multifunctional cleanup columns (MFC). Average recovery and detection limits of whole milk and low-fat milk cleaned up by IAC were significantly superior to those obtained with the MFC (78-87% and 0.59-0.66 ng/L, respectively).
