Macronutrients (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, and S) in litter of three primarily spruce (Picea purpurea Masters) (SF), fir (Abies faxoniana Rehder & E. H. Wilson) (FF), and birch (Betula platyphylla Sukaczev) (BF) subalpine forests in western China were measured to understand the monthly variations in litter nutrient concentrations and annual and monthly nutrient returns via litteffall. Nutrient concentration in litter showed the rank order of Ca 〉 N 〉 Mg 〉 K 〉 S 〉 P. Monthly variations in nutrient concentrations were greater in leaf litter (LL) than other litter components. The highest and lowest concentrations of N, P, K, and S in LL were found in the growing season and the nongrowing season, respectively, but Ca and Mg were the opposite. Nutrient returns via litterfall showed a marked monthly pattern with a major peak in October and one or two small peaks in February and/or May, varying with the element and stand type, but no marked monthly variations in nutrient returns via woody litter, reproductive litter, except in May for the BF, and moss litter. Not only litter production but also nutrient concentration controlled the annual nutrient return and the monthly nutrient return pattern. The monthly patterns of the nutrient concentration and return were of ecological importance for nutrient cycling and plant growth in the subalpine forest ecosystems. 相似文献

We evaluated the whole body distribution of 2‐deoxy‐2‐[18F]fluoro‐d ‐glucose (18F‐FDG) in seven beagle dogs using positron emission tomography/computed tomography. The mean and maximum standard uptake values (SUV) for various tissues were computed. The SUV of the aortic blood pool was 0.65±0.19. Moderate uptake was present in brain (3.40±1.01). Mild uptake was present in orbital muscles, soft palate, laryngeal and pharyngeal region, mandibular salivary gland, myocardium, liver, pancreas, kidney, and intestine. 18F‐FDG uptake would be normally higher in these tissues because of normal physiologic activity. Mean and maximum SUV values of the eye, skeletal muscle, bone tissue, spleen, adrenal gland, stomach, tongue, gall bladder, and lung were similar to or lower than that of the aortic blood pool. These data provide a normal baseline for comparing pathologic 18F‐FDG uptake. 相似文献

Aeromonas salmonicida in Finland: pathological problems associated with atypical and typical strains 总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
Abstract. Aeromonas salmonicida was studied at fish farms producing salmonid smolts in northern and central Finland from 1982 onwards. Aeromonas salmonicida subsp. salmonicida has been causing epizootics in salmon, Salmo salar L., and trout, S. trutta L., at two coastal farms in northern Finland sinee 1986, involving 1–29% mortality in the fish-rearing units affceted. The disease causes more serious losses of sea trout yearlings and brood fish than of salmon. The achromogenic atypical A. salmonicida proved to be the most common bacterial disease in brown and sea trout at one farm in northern Finland throughout the period, causing constant heavy losses, mainly of fingerlings, especially in 1982–1986. It was found only occasionally in central Finland. Pigment-producing atypical A- salmonicida caused mortality among brown trout at one farm in northern Finland and one in central Finland. 相似文献

Needles of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) from 25 and 40 sampling plots in southern and northern Finland, respectively, that had earlier been analysed for total sulphur concentration (St) were reanalysed for foliar sulphate sulphur (SO4–S) and total nitrogen (Nt). Organic sulphur content (So) was calculated as the difference between St and SO4–S. Current (c) and previous-year (c+1) needles were collected from southern Finland in December 1989 and c – c+2 needles from northern Finland in September-October 1990/September 1992. The results show that the St concentration and St/Nt ratio in Scots pine needles are good indices of dry deposition of SO2 in general, while SO4–S concentrations and SO4–S/So ratios can be used in areas with low N supply from the soil and/or low wet deposition of N. The normal St concentration in needles of Scots pines growing on a podzol with low N supply is considered to be 500–700 μg g-1 and that of SO4–S 100–200 μg g-1. An increase of 100 μg g-1 in needle St may be attributed to a rise of 1.4 μg m-3 in ambient SO2 concentration in areas with relatively low SO2 concentrations (>15 μg m-3). A critical level of 5 μg m-3 as an annual and growing season mean is proposed for forestry in northern Europe (north of 60°N). 相似文献

Abstract. Salmonid fish at fish farms in northern and central Finland and perch, Perca fluviatilis L., roach, Rutilus rutilus (L.), and whitefish, Coregonus sp., from four lakes in central Finland were studied between 1985 and 1990 for the occurrence of Yersinia ruckeri. The bacteria were found in fish from both areas, but in most cases, only single diseased salmon, Salmo salar L., brown trout, S. trutta L., rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss (Walbaum), whitefish and perch were encountered and were always connected with stress conditions. One clinical outbreak occured in salmon fingerlings in northern Finland, and the fish were successfully treated with trimethoprim-sulpha. Monthly monitoring of lake fish revealed two symptomless carrier perch in two lakes. Outwith the main study a moribund perch with yersiniosis was found in a polluted lake, and for the first time in Finland, a rainbow trout was also found to have contracted yersiniosis in a small private pond. Sorbitol-positive and negative isolates have been found to occur in both moribund and carrier farmed fish, indicating that the sorbitol test is not essential when evaluating the pathogenicity of Y. ruckeri. 相似文献

Abstract Interlocked use of multiple inland vendace, Coregonus albula (L.), stocks is a relatively new strategy to exploit asynchronous fluctuations in abundance of natural fish stocks between waterbodies. It combines vendace stocks from different lakes or parts of lakes into one interlocked stock to be managed across waterbody ownership boundaries. Management of interlocked stocks can be regarded as one form of portfolio management. Exploitation of interlocked stocks should reduce the interannual variation in yield, and thus ensuring fishers more constant income and the market more constant material flow. The strategy requires fishers to increase their mobility, to benefit from asynchronous fluctuations in abundance of vendace stocks between exploitable waters. A postal inquire addressed to Finnish commercial inland fishers examined whether existing property rights institutions' and fishers' harvesting policies were appropriate to establish interlocked use of multiple vendace stocks. Almost half of fishers had, to some extent, reaped benefit from a fishing strategy that included small-scale mobility, which is consistent with the proposed strategy. By harvesting three or four lakes and stocks, fishers increased their yield compared with exploiting one fishing ground and one vendace stock. Public ownership provided fishers access to stocks nearer their place of residence than other ownership types. 相似文献
