Triasulfuron was degraded in aqueous solution by ultraviolet irradiation to yield 2-chloroethoxybenzene and (4-methoxy-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)urea. The reaction followed first-order kinetics. In sunlight, the reaction was slower and afforded these two photoproducts together with 2-amino-4-methoxy-6-methyltriazine and 2-(2-chloroethoxy)benzenesulfonamide. The latter compounds arise from hydrolytic cleavage of the sulfonylurea bridge of triasulfuron because of the acidity of the reaction medium due to the loss of sulfur dioxide. A mechanism which accounts for the formation of the photoproducts is proposed. © 1999 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Soil erosion varies greatly over space and is commonly estimated using the revised universal soil loss equation (RUSLE). Neglecting information about estimation uncertainty, however, may lead to improper decision‐making. One geostatistical approach to spatial analysis is joint stochastic simulation, which draws alternative, equally probable, joint realizations of a regionalized variable. Differences between the realizations provide a measure of spatial uncertainty and allow us to carry out an error propagation analysis. The objective of this paper was to assess spatial uncertainty of a soil erodibility factor (K) model resulting from the uncertainties in the input parameters (texture and organic matter). The 500 km2 study area was located in central‐eastern Sardinia (Italy) and 152 samples were collected. A Monte Carlo analysis was performed where spatial cross‐correlation information through joint turning bands simulation was incorporated. A linear coregionalization model was fitted to all direct and cross‐variograms of the input variables, which included three different structures: a nugget effect, a spherical structure with a shorter range (3500 m) and a spherical structure with a longer range (10 000 m). The K factor was then estimated for each set of the 500 joint realizations of the input variables, and the ensemble of the model outputs was used to infer the soil erodibility probability distribution function. This approach permitted delineation of the areas characterized by greater uncertainty, to improve supplementary sampling strategies and K value predictions. Mature apricots (Prunus armeniaca), nectarines [Prunus persica var. nectarine (Ait.)], and peaches [P. persica (L.) Batsch.] were subjected to a 2 min dip treatment with warm water at 48 degrees C or with fludioxonil (FLU) at 100 mg L-1 and 20 degrees C or at 25 mg L-1 FLU and 48 degrees C and then stored at 5 degrees C and 90-95% relative humidity (RH) for 1 week plus 1 additional week at 18 degrees C and approximately 80% RH. Fruit residue uptake was determined as a function of fungicide concentration, dip temperature, treatment time (only on nectarines), and fruit storage conditions. FLU residue level was closely related to fungicide concentration and treatment temperatures and was dependent on fruit species. FLU residues showed great persistence over both storage and shelf life. Fruit dipping in water at 48 degrees C effectively reduced decay development in cvs. 'May Grand' nectarines and 'Pelese' apricots but was ineffective in cvs. 'Red Top' and 'Sun Crest' nectarines during 7 days of storage compared with nontreated fruit. Decay rates in cvs. 'Glo Haven' peaches and 'Fracasso' apricots were very low in fruit dipped in water at both 20 and 48 degrees C. Fungicide treatments at 20 and 48 degrees C resulted in the total or almost total suppression of decay in all cultivars. During shelf life, fruit became very prone to decay, averaging 25.7-100% depending on the cultivar. Fruit dipping in hot water effectively reduced decay in 'Pelese' and 'Fracasso' apricots, 'Sun Crest' peaches, and 'May Grand' nectarines as compared to control, but was ineffective in 'Glo Haven' and 'Red Top' peaches. Fungicide treatments at 20 degrees C were more effective than hot water in most cultivars. The combination of FLU with water at 48 degrees C further improved the fungicide performance. Indeed, reduced levels (a fourth) of active ingredient were required to achieve a control of decay comparable to that for treatment at 20 degrees C. Residue levels in fruit after treatment with 100 mg L-1 FLU at 20 degrees C or with 25 mg L-1 FLU at 48 degrees C averaged approximately 0.6-2 mg kg-1, which were notably lower than the maximum residue limit (5 mg kg-1) allowed in the United States for stone fruit.  相似文献

Summary Exploration and collection of plant genetic resources were continued in central Italy 1989—regions Abruzzo, Umbria, Marche, Toscana.Triticum dicoccon was used as an indicator for traditional agriculture. 169 accessions were collected, mainly of cereals, vegetables and grain legumes. Worth mentioning are land-races ofTriticum aestivum, T. durum, Secale cereale, Pisum sativum, Lactuca sativa andCucurbita maxima. Brassica oleracea var.palmifolia, the palm-leaved kale, is an important vegetable in the Toscana. Several other rare crops could be also collected.

Zusammenfassung Die Exploration und Sammlung pflanzlicher genetischer Ressourcen wurden 1989 in Mittelitalien fortgesetzt — Regionen Abruzzo, Umbria, Marche, Toscana.Triticum dicoccon wurde als Indikator für traditionelle Landwirtschaft verwendet. 169 Proben wurden gesammelt, hauptsächlich von Getreiden, Gemüsen und Körnerleguminosen. Erwähnenswert sind Landsorten vonTriticum aestivum, T. durum, Secale cereale, Pisum sativum undCucurbita maxima. Brassica oleracea var.palmifolia, der Palmkohl, ist ein wichtiges Gemüse in der Toscana. Verschiedene andere seltene Fruchtarten konnten ebenfalls gesammelt werden.

A multidisciplinary approach was followed to study the pedogenic and palaeoclimatic information preserved in a buried palaeosol belonging to a Late Quaternary succession located along the bay of Alghero (north‐western Sardinia). The bay is dominated by a 5‐km long sandy beach‐ridge system backing an N‐S oriented lagoon system (Calich). The succession studied is characterized by basal shallow marine deposits, followed by clayey lagoon sediments and colluvial strata and capped by a relatively thick aeolianite. The research was based on pedological and sedimentological analyses, supported by optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating and by an in‐depth micro‐morphological study. Three main climatic pulses were highlighted during the Eemian. A wet period, with intense carbonate leaching occurred at the very beginning of the Eemian interglacial followed by very dry climatic conditions. This dry phase was long and arid enough to allow the formation of a thick calcrete hardpan, a typical feature of semi‐arid environments. The hardpan is dated at about 120 ka (kilo annum) and this dry event is tentatively associated with the late Eemian arid pulse (LEAP). The last phase of the Eemian recorded the restoration of a wetter climate. Finally, the succession indicated that even in a cooler environment, the central Mediterranean most probably maintained temperate conditions at least until the end of the MIS 5c (about 95 ka; early Würm).  相似文献

The effect of alkaline lignin (AL) and sodium lignosulfonate (LSS) on the structure of thermoplastic zein (TPZ) was studied. Protein structural changes and the nature of the physical interaction between lignin and zein were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and correlated with physical properties. Most relevant protein structural changes were observed at low AL concentration, where strong H-bondings between the functional groups of AL and the amino acids in zein induced a destructuring of inter- and intramolecular interactions in α-helix, β-sheet, and β-turn secondary structures. This destructuring allowed for an extensive protein conformational modification which, in turn, resulted in a strong improvement of the physical properties of the bionanocomposite.  相似文献

The primary photodegradation processes of fenthion (FN), one of the most photosensitive pesticides used in agriculture, have been investigated by combining laser flash photolysis and steady-state measurements. The triplet state of FN is produced quite efficiently (Phi(isc) approximately 0.3). However, this excited state does not seem to trigger the primary photodecomposition pathways of the pesticide. It is demonstrated that FN undergoes photoheterolysis via the excited singlet state and gives the corresponding singlet "sigma aryl cation". Chemical evidence for the generation of this transient species is given by trapping with typical "sigma nucleophiles" such as chloride and methanol. This photodegradation mechanism is, in part, quite different with respect to what is known to date and may account for the formation of the O,O-dimethyl S-[3-methyl-4-(methylthio)phenyl] phosphorothioate discovered as a novel photodegradation product of FN.  相似文献

A weathering sequence with soils developing on volcanic, trachy-basaltic parent materials with ages ranging from 100–115,000 years in the Etna region served as the basis to analyse and calculate the accumulation and stabilisation mechanisms of soil organic matter (SOM), the transformation of pedogenic Fe and Al, the formation and transformation of clay minerals, the weathering indices and, by means of mass-balance calculations, net losses of the main elements. Although the soils were influenced by ash depositions during their development and the soil on the oldest lava flow developed to a great extent under a different climate, leaching of elements and mineral formation and transformation could still be measured. Leaching of major base cations coupled with a corresponding passive enrichment of Al or Fe was a main weathering mechanism and was especially pronounced in the early stages of soil formation due to mineral or glass weathering. With time, the weathering indexes (such as the (K + Ca)/Ti ratio) tend to an asymptotic value: chemical and mineralogical changes between 15,000 and 115,000 years in the A and B horizons were small. In contrast to this, the accumulation of newly formed ITM (imogolite type materials) and ferrihydrite showed a rather linear behaviour with time. Weathering consisted of the dissolution of primary minerals such as plagioclase, pyroxenes or olivine, the breakdown of volcanic glass and the formation of secondary minerals such as ITM and ferrihydrite. The main mineral transformations were volcanic glass ? imogolite ? kaolinite (clay fraction). In the most weathered horizons a very small amount of 2:1 clay minerals could be found that were probably liberated from the inner part of volcanic glass debris. The rate of formation and transformation of 2:1 clay minerals in the investigated soils was very low; no major changes could be observed even after 115,000 years of soil evolution. This can be explained by the addition of ash and the too low precipitation rates. In general, soil erosion played a subordinate role, except possibly for the oldest soils (115,000 years). The youngest soils with an age < 2000 years had the highest accumulation rate of organic C (about 3.0 g C/m2/year). After about 15,000 years, the accumulation rate of organic C in the soils tended to zero. Soil organic carbon reached an asymptotic value with abundances close to 20 kg/m2 after about 20,000 years. In general, the preservation and stabilisation of SOM were due to poorly crystalline Al- and Fe-phases (pyrophosphate-extractable), kaolinite and the clay content. These parameters correlated well with the organic C. Imogolite-type material did not contribute significantly to the stabilisation of soil organic matter.  相似文献

Concerns about retroviruses in livestock and products derived from them have necessitated the development of tests to detect the bovine leukemia virus (BLV) in blood and milk from cattle. Dairy cattle (n = 101) from 5 different geographical areas were used for this study. A nested polymerase chain reaction (PCR) identified 98% of BLV seropositive cattle (n = 80) from blood and 65% from milk, whereas real-time PCR detected 94% of BLV seropositive cattle from blood and 59% from milk. Bovine leukemia virus was also detected by PCR in approximately 10% of seronegative cattle (n = 21), most likely because of early detection before seroconversion.  相似文献
