observed for plant height, days to flowering, days to maturity, number of branches/plant, number of pods/plant, pod length,
seeds per pod,biomass yield/plant, grain yield/plant and harvest index (%) during 2 consecutive years. First four components
of PCA with eigenvalues >1 contributed 78.7 and79.1% of the total variance amongst 40genotypes during 1998 and 1999. The populations
with high PC1 values were expected to be high yielding characterised by earlyness, high seed weight and harvest index, all traits strictly
related to reproductive phase. Four clusters of genotypes were observed during both the years and genetic diversity was in
association for both the years. Based on SDS-PAGE, specific bands were suggested to be used for identifying Vigna radiatafrom mixed germplasm with Vigna mungo. The SDS-PAGE proved to be a powerful tool for differentiating Vigna radiata and Vigna mungo, whereas a low level inter-specific genetic diversity was observed and no clear differentiation was observed both for agronomic
characteristics and for geographical origin.

Rhizosphere processes have a major impact on copper (Cu) availability and its fractions in soils. A greenhouse experiment with wheat was performed to investigate availability (using seven chemical procedures) and fractionation of Cu in the rhizosphere of ten agricultural soils (Typic Calcixerepts) amended with sewage sludge (1% w/w) using rhizoboxes. The results show that available Cu concentrations in rhizosphere soils were significantly (P < 1%) lower than in bulk soils. In comparison with the bulk soils, in the rhizosphere soils the concentration of Cu associated with organic matter and residual Cu increased by 24 and 4%, respectively, whereas exchangeable Cu, Cu associated with iron‐manganese oxides, and Cu associated with carbonate decreased by 20, 14, and 12%, respectively. Dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and Cu associated with iron‐manganese oxides and Cu associated with organic matter in the rhizosphere and bulk soils were significantly correlated (P < 5%). The results show that the differences between rhizosphere and bulk soils in chemical conditions such as DOC concentrations can change the proportion of soil Cu fractions and, therefore, Cu availability for wheat in calcareous soils amended with sewage sludge. The results show that the wheat root‐induced modifications of chemical and biological soil conditions do not only lead to Cu depletion in mobile soil Cu fractions, but also to modification in soil Cu fractions which are commonly considered as more stable. 相似文献
Ornamental fish farming is globally a key sector of aquaculture. The purpose of this study was to report on the parasitic fauna of ornamental fish from seven farms in the East Azerbaijan province in northwestern Iran. Between November 2020 and February 2021, a total of 600 freshwater ornamental fish of six species, including goldfish (Carassius auratus), angel (Pterophyllum scalare), guppy (Poecilia reticulata), dwarf gourami (Colisa lalia), swordtail (Xiphophorus helleri), and cichlid (Cichlasoma sp.) were collected for parasitological analysis. Six ciliate protozoan species (Trichodina mutabilis, Trichodina nobilis, Trichodina spp., Heteropolaria lwoffi, Ichthyophthrius multifiliis, and Chilodonella spp.), three species of monogenean trematodes (Dactylogyrus dulkeiti, Dactylogyrus spp. and Gyrodactylus spp.), two species of crustacean arthropods (Lernaea cyprinacea and Argulus japonicus), and a nematode (Capillaria spp.) were identified among the examined fish. Parasites were detected in the fish from 5 of 7 farms, with an overall parasitic prevalence in 26.33% (158/600) of the fish. Fish infection rates with protozoans, monogenean trematodes, crustacean arthropods, and nematodes were 16.83, 13.17, 4, and 0.33% respectively. The highest prevalence was found in X. helleri infected with Gyrodactylus spp. and P. scalare infested with Trichodina spp. Moreover, 9/100 and 10/100 of goldfish were infected with A. japonicus and L. cyprinacea, compared to 2/500 and 3/500, respectively, for all other species in combination, which is a statistically significant result (p?<?0.01). Assessment of farmed fish parasitic fauna is important to inhibit the spread of infections, ensure fish production and improve fish health.

Two studies were conducted to evaluate the effects of unilateral eyestalk ablation and diet on the reproductive performance of wild populations of Farfantepenaeus aztecus. In both studies, females in two treatments were unilaterally ablated while those in the control treatment were not. Shrimp in the non‐ablated treatment and one of the unilaterally ablated treatments received frozen bloodworms (8% BW day−1) and frozen squid (12% BW day−1). The bloodworm component of the diet of the third unilateral ablation treatment was replaced with frozen adult enriched Artemia sp. Ablated female population spawning per night, in both studies, was higher than non‐ablated spawning (8.5 and 8.9 vs. 2.6%; 7.4 and 7.5 vs. 2.7% respectively; P<0.05). Replacement of bloodworms with adult enriched Artemia sp. had no negative effect on the number of eggs spawned per ablated female (124 000 vs. 115 000 eggs spawn−1; 144 000 vs. 151 000 eggs spawn−1 respectively; P>0.05). The life span of ablated females fed adult enriched Artemia sp. was 8 and 40 days longer than ablated females fed bloodworms for the first and second studies respectively. Replacement of bloodworms with adult enriched Artemia sp. resulted in higher hatch and larval survival rates (Nauplius 1 to Zoea 1) (55.0% vs. 46.9% and 44.8% vs. 37.2%), respectively, P<0.05. 相似文献
