In order to evaluate the variability of the soil profiles at two shapes (concave and convex) and five positions (summit, shoulder, back slope, footslope and toeslope) of a slope, a study of a virgin area was made in a Beech stand of mountain forests, northern Iran. Across the slope positions, the soil profiles demonstrated significant changes due to topography for two shape slopes. The solum depth of the convex slope was higher than the concave one in all five positions, and it decreased from the summit to shoulder and increased from the mid to lower slope positions for both convex and concave slopes. The thin solum at the upper positions and concave slope demonstrated that pedogenetic development is least at upper slope positions and concave slope where leaching and biomass productivity are less than at lower slopes and concave slope. A large decrease in the thickness of O and A horizons from the summit to back slope was noted for both concave and convex slopes, but it increased from back slope toward down slope for both of them. The average thickness of B horizons increased from summit to down slopes in the case of the concave slope, but in the case of convex slope it decreased from summit to shoulder and afterwards it increased to the down slope. The thicknesses of the different horizons varied in part in the different positions and shape slopes because they had different plant species cover and soil features, which were related to topography.  相似文献

A great challenge for the agricultural sector is to produce more food from less water, particularly in arid and semi-arid regions which suffer from water scarcity. A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of three irrigation methods, using effluent versus fresh water, on water savings, yields and irrigation water use efficiency (IWUE). The irrigation scheduling was based on soil moisture and rooting depth monitoring. The experimental design was a split plot with three main treatments, namely subsurface drip (SSD), surface drip (SD) and furrow irrigation (FI) and two sub-treatments effluent and fresh water, which were applied with three replications. The experiment was conducted at the Marvdasht city (Southern Iran) wastewater treatment plant during 2005 and 2006. The experimental results indicated that the average water applied in the irrigation treatments with monitoring was much less than that using the conventional irrigation method (using furrows but based on a constant irrigation interval, without moisture monitoring). The maximum water saving was obtained using SSD with 5907 m3 ha−1 water applied, and the minimum water saving was obtained using FI with 6822 m3 ha−1. The predicted irrigation water requirements using the Penman-Monteith equation (considering 85% irrigation efficiency for the FI method) was 10,743 m3 ha−1. The pressure irrigation systems (SSD and SD) led to a greater yield compared to the surface method (FI). The highest yield (12.11 × 103 kg ha−1) was obtained with SSD and the lowest was obtained with the FI method (9.75 × 103 kg ha−1). The irrigation methods indicated a highly significant difference in irrigation water use efficiency. The maximum IWUE was obtained with the SSD (2.12 kg m−3) and the minimum was obtained with the FI method (1.43 kg m−3). Irrigation with effluent led to a greater IWUE compared to fresh water, but the difference was not statistically significant.  相似文献

Forest fires are an important environmental concern worldwide, affecting the soil, forests and human lives. During the process of burning, soil nutrients are depleted and the soil is subsequently more vulnerable to erosion. Nowadays it is necessary to identify the factors influencing the occurrence of fire and fire hazard areas, in order to minimize the frequency of fire and avert damage. Logistic regression was used to study the forest fire risk and identify the most influential factors in the occurrence of forest fires. Climatic variables (temperature and annual precipitation), human factors (distance from streams and farmland) and physiography (land slope and elevation) were considered and their correlation with the occurrence of fires investigated. Results of model validation and sensitivity of various areas to fire were examined with the ROC coefficient and Hosmer–Lemeshow test. The estimated coefficients for the independent variables indicated that the probability of occurrence of fire is negatively related to land slope, site elevation and distance from farmlands, but is positively related to amount of annual precipitation.  相似文献

A feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effect of replacing fish meal protein with fermented soybean meal (FSM) on the growth performance, feed utilization, amino acid profile, body composition, morphological parameters, activity of antioxidant and digestive enzymes of black sea bream (Acanthopagrus schlegeli) juvenile. Five isonitrogenic and isolipidic diets were prepared with levels of 0 (control), 80, 160, 240 and 320 g kg?1 FSM. Triplicate groups (40 fish per tank) of juvenile black sea bream with initial weight of 1.17 ± 0.04 g were hand‐fed to visual satiation at three meals per day for 8 weeks. The fish fed diets containing different levels of FSM had no significant differences regarding survival and specific growth rate compared with control group. Feed and protein efficiency ratios of fish fed diet containing 320 g kg?1 FSM were significantly lower than those of control group. Daily feed intake and daily protein intake of fish fed diet containing 240–320 g kg?1 were significantly higher than those of control group. Hepatosomatic index and condition factor of fish were not affected by different dietary FSM level. Fish fed diets containing 240–320 g kg?1 FSM had significantly higher visceral somatic index than control group. Whole body proximate and amino acid compositions of fish were not affected by dietary FSM level. The activity of digestive enzymes in the intestine was not affected by dietary FSM level. The activity of glutathione peroxidase in liver was significantly higher for fish fed the diet containing 160 g kg?1 FSM compared with control group. This study showed that up to 40% fish meal in the diets of juvenile black sea bream could be replaced by fermented soybean meal with supplementation of methionine, lysine and taurine.  相似文献

The aim of this research was to identify species suitable for plantation. We first identified species for potentially suitable for plantation based on ecological capabilities regarding soil properties. We determined the area of plantation for different species based on ecological capabilities. Then, we collected relevant data such as growth patterns of different species, labor requirements for plantation and plantation cost. A linear programming model and two integer linear programming models were used for optimization. The appropriate species based on ecological capabilities were ash, elm, maple, oak and bald cypress. A linear programming model was used based on ecological capabilities classification to determine the land area of different species for plantation. Then, two integer linear programming models were employed to select the species for plantation. We set ecological properties unequal for all of the species in the first run of the integer programming model. Two groups were classified: group one included maple and ash; group two included bald cypress, oak and elm. The second integer programming model assumed equal ecological properties for all the species. Results of linear programming showed that maple and bald cypress were appropriate for plantation at the site and their plantation areas should be 151.3 and 355.3 ha, respectively. Results of the first integer linear programming model showed that maple and bald cypress would be economically profitable for plantation. The results of the second integer linear programming model showed that only bald cypress would be appropriate for plantation.  相似文献

The genotype × environment (GE) interaction influences genotype selection and recommendations. Consequently, the objectives of genetic improvement should include obtaining genotypes with high potential yield and stability in unpredictable conditions. The GE interaction and genetic improvement for grain yield and yield stability was studied for 11 durum breeding lines, selected from Iran/ICARDA joint program, and compared to current checks (i.e., one durum modern cultivar and two durum and bread wheat landraces). The genotypes were grown in three rainfed research stations, representative of major rainfed durum wheat-growing areas, during 2005–09 cropping seasons in Iran. The additive main effect and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) analysis, genotype plus GE (GGE) biplot analysis, joint regression analysis (JRA) (b and S2di), six stability parameters derived from AMMI model, two Kang’s parameters [i.e., yield-stability (YSi) statistic and rank-sum], GGE distance (mean performance + stability evaluation), and two adaptability parameters [i.e., TOP (proportion of environments in which a genotype ranked in the top third) and percentage of adaptability (Ad)] were used to analyze GE interaction in rainfed durum multi-environment trials data. The main objectives were to (i) evaluate changes in adaptation and yield stability of the durum breeding lines compared to modern cultivar and landraces (ii) document genetic improvement in grain yield and analyze associated changes in yield stability of breeding lines compared to checks and (iii) to analyze rank correlation among GGE biplot, AMMI analysis and JRA in ranking of genotypes for yield, stability and yield-stability. The results showed that the effects due to environments, genotypes and GE interaction were significant (P < 0.01), suggesting differential responses of the genotypes and the need for stability analysis. The overall yield was 2,270 kg ha?1 for breeding lines and modern cultivar versus 2,041 kg ha?1 for landraces representing 11.2 % increase in yield. Positive genetic gains for grain yield in warm and moderate locations compared to cold location suggests continuing the evaluation of the breeding material in warm and moderate conditions. According to Spearman’s rank correlation analysis, two types of associations were found between the stability parameters: the first type included the AMMI stability parameters and joint regression parameters which were related to static stability and ranked the genotypes in similar fashion, whereas the second type consisted of the rank-sum, YSi, TOP, Ad and GGED which are related to dynamic concept of stability. Rank correlations among statistical methods for: (i) stability ranged between 0.27 and 0.97 (P < 0.01), was the least between AMMI and GGE biplot, and highest for AMMI and JRA and (ii) yield-stability varied from 0.22 (between GGE and JRA) to 0.44 (between JRA and AMMI). Breeding lines G8 (Stj3//Bcr/Lks4), G10 (Ossl-1/Stj-5) and G12 (modern cultivar) were the best genotypes in terms of both nominal yield and stability, indicating that selecting for improved yield potential may increase yield in a wide range of environments. The increase in adaptation, yield potential and stability of breeding lines has been reached due to gradual accumulation of favorable genes through targeted crosses, robust shuttle breeding and multi-locational testing.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to evaluate the existence of Streptococcus equi subsp. equi and Streptococcus equi subsp. zooepidemicus as probable agents associated with naturally occurring infection of the equine upper respiratory disease in Mashhad area. Nasal swabs samples from thirty horses with upper respiratory tract infections were collected. The bacteria isolated and identified were Streptococcus equi subsp. equi (1 isolate), Streptococcus equi subsp. zooepidemicus (25 isolates), Pasteurella sp. (11 isolates), Staphylococcus sp. (17 isolates), Bacillus sp. (4 isolates), Pseudomonas sp. (4 isolates), Proteus sp. (1 isolate), Neisseria sp. (1 isolate) and E. coli (1 isolate). All 25 isolates of Streptococcus equi subsp. zooepidemicus and the isolate of Streptococcus equi subsp. equi were characterized by biochemical tests and molecular techniques. For molecular identification of the subspecies S. equi and S. zooepidemicus two genomic region SeM and sodA were amplified. This study is the first report of molecular identification of Streptococcus equi subsp. equi and Streptococcus equi subsp. zooepidemicus in Iran.  相似文献

The presence of synthetic dyes in industrial wastewaters may create serious environmental problems due to their mutagenicity and toxicity to aquatic life and humans. In this study, the decolourization and degradation of methylene blue (MB) by a Sphingomonas paucimobilis strain isolated from industrial wastewater was investigated under aerobic conditions. Decolourization extent of MB in medium was over 85?% when the bacterium was grown on a high concentration of the dye (1,000?mg/L) after a retention time of 5?days, while reduction in COD was 92.99?% suggesting mineralization of dyes as a result of microbial activities. The bacterium retained decolourizing activity over a wide range of pH (2?C10), with peak activity obtained at pH 9. Analysis of samples extracted from decolourized culture flasks at pH 9 using UV?Cvisible and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy confirmed that the mechanism of colour removal was due to biodegradation rather than adsorption of dye on cells. Scanning and transmission electron microscopy revealed the secretion of exopolysaccharides (EPS) by S. paucimobilis cells on exposure to MB??a probable physiological defence mechanism to ensure controlled diffusion of dye molecules into cellular structures. Biokinetic coefficients, namely, growth yield, Y; specific biomass decay, K d; maximum specific substrate rate, k; saturation constant for substrate, K s; and maximum specific biomass growth rate, ?? max, were determined by the Monod type kinetic equation. Results indicate that S. paucimobilis holds a promise as a good candidate for the biological treatment of industrial effluent containing high concentrations of synthetic dyes.  相似文献

For the first time, the current study reports the genetic and phenotypic correlations between growth and reproductive traits in Zandi sheep. The data were comprised of 4,309 records of lamb growth traits from 1,378 dams and 273 sires plus 2,588 records of reproductive traits from 577 ewes. These data were extracted from available performance records at Khojir Breeding Station of Zandi sheep in Tehran, Iran, from 1993 to 2008. Correlations were estimated from two animal models in a bivariate analysis using restricted maximum likelihood procedure between lamb growth traits [birth weight (BW), weaning weight at 3 months of age (WW), as well as six-month weight (6 MW)] and ewe reproductive traits [litter size at birth (LSB), litter size at weaning (LSW), total litter weight at birth (TLWB), and total litter weight at weaning (TLWW)]. The genetic correlations between BW and reproductive traits varied from low to high ranges from 0.10 for BW–LSB to 0.86 for BW–TLWB. WW was moderately (0.37) to highly (0.96) correlated with all the reproductive traits. Moreover, the genetic correlations were observed between 6 MW and reproductive traits, varied from 0.19 to 0.95. Relationships between growth and reproductive traits ranged from 0.01 for BW–LSW to 0.28 for BW–TLWB in phenotypic effects. Results indicated that selection to improve WW would have high effect on genetic response in TLWW, and also, these results could be effective for all of the reproductive traits in Zandi sheep.  相似文献

Geopedology, using geomorphologic and supervised classification bases, has been proposed as a soil surveying method. It undertakes a systematic approach to map soilscapes. This approach tries to reduce the budget of accomplishing soil surveys as well as increasing the purity of mapping units. But to what extent it has been succeeded is the question. The main objective of this research was to validate the geopedological mapping methodology by statistical and geostatistical methods in the Borujen region, Central Iran. After a primary interpretation of the study area on air photos (1:20 000 scale), 94 pedons were excavated on a 125 m square sampling grid in the sample area for geostatistical studies. To achieve the statistical aims, a geomorphic unit which encompassed the maximum surface of the sample area (and also the study area) was selected and the biggest delineation of this unit with 19 pedons was considered. The credibility of generalizing the results of the geopedological approach for the studied unit was tested by comparison with 15 pedons in a similar unit outside the sample area, named the validation area. Properties of the soils, including percentage of clay, rock fragments (2–75 mm) and total carbonates in the soil family control section, percentage of organic matter in the A horizon and its thickness, were selected for statistical and geostatistical analyses. Univariate and multivariate statistical analyses obtained from the units in the sample and the validation areas, showed that the means of soil variables were similar. A high difference between A horizon thickness variances in the sample area and the validation area affected the significance of the variation test in the univariate and multivariate results. Our study demonstrated that, when comparing the same factors from sample and validation areas, the spatial distribution and spatial dependency level of soil attributes were different. Therefore, although the geopedological approach tries to distinguish more homogeneous soil mapping units, it is still not able to fully define and represent the real variability of soil properties and show the chaotic behavior or nature of the soils. We recommend further investigations on different techniques of stratifying the landscape in order to better analyze and understand the soil-forming processes and the nature of soil variability and to improve sampling and mapping approaches. We suggest that the additional determination of the phases of landforms and phases of soil series will improve mapping in the future.  相似文献
