Microbial indices and their spatial patterns are strongly affected by environmental factors. Spatial variability of soil properties is one of the most important causes of variability in soil microbial indices. This research was conducted in the Caspian forest to assess spatial variabilities and frequency distributions of microbial properties.Ninety soil samples were taken using a grid sampling design 40 9 40 m. Microbial indices, organic carbon,nitrogen and pH were determined. Soil variable distributions showed that microbial indices had abnormal distributions. Logarithmic transformation produced normal distribution. Spatial continuity using geostatistical(variogram) was studied and maps obtained by point kriging.The variograms revealed the presence of spatial autocorrelation. The results indicate that spatial dependence of soil microbial indices was affected by non-intrinsic factors and forest management procedures. The maps show that soil microbial indices and soil properties have spatial variability. The spatial pattern of microbial indices was correlated to organic carbon and nitrogen. 相似文献

Oil from seeds of Diospyros lotus was extracted using a conventional method with two different solvents:hexane and petroleum ether. A central composite design with response surface methodology were used to optimize the process. A second-order polynomial equation was employed, and ANOVA was applied to evaluate the impact of various operating parameters including extraction temperature(x_1; 44.9–70.1 °C), extraction time(x_2;5.0–10.0 h) and solvent to solid ratio(x_3;11.6–28.4 mL g-1), on oil yield. Experiments to validate the model showed decent conformity between predicted and actual values. Extraction conditions for optimal oil yield were 61 °C, 8.75 h extraction duration and 19.25 mL g-1 solvent to solid ratio. Under these conditions, the oil yield was predicted to be 5.1340%. Oil samples obtained were then analyzed using gas chromatography. The fatty acid composition revealed the major fatty acids to be oleic acid(C18:1) and linoleic acid(C18:2). The analysis of oil also demonstrated a decent ratio between omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. The structure of seeds was imaged using scanning electron microscopy. Oil quality was analyzed thermogravimetrically and by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The assigned nutritional features of the D. lotus oil suggested that it can be used as an edible oil in pharmaceutical and food industry in the future. 相似文献

A rhizobox experiment was conducted to compare the differences of soil potassium (K) distribution and absorption between two cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) genotypes under drought and K‐deficit conditions. Treatments included two levels of water (drought and optimum soil moisture: 25% and 35% volumetric water content) and K fertilizer rates (0 and 0.48 g potash kg?1 soil) applied to two cotton genotypes (namely HEG and LEG). Both the genotypes showed significant differences in total K accumulation without exogenous K addition. After absorption, soil content of the readily available potassium (RAK) decreased rapidly. This promoted the conversion of the mineral K into slowly available potassium (SAK). Drought significantly decreased the cotton growth and K use efficiency, and thereby reduced the effect of K fertilizer. Consequantly, the contents of RAK and SAK were greatly increased. However, K bioavailability was decreased under water stress conditions. Differences in root parameters and soil microorganisms between two cotton genotypes were significantly increased and had marked relations with available soil K contents. Background, Aim and Scope In urban areas, soils are often dramatically altered by anthropogenic activity and these modifications distinguish these soils
(Anthrosols, Technosols) from those in natural systems. In urban environments, they receive considerable pollution from industry,
traffic and refuse. Since contaminated soil particles can be easily inhaled or ingested, there is a potential transfer of
toxic pollutants to humans. Risk assessment is essentially based on the determination of the total or mobile contents of pollutants
in soils using chemical extractions. This approach could be improved by taking into consideration the bioavailable fractions
of these toxic elements as measured by biotests. The coarse soil fraction usually neglected in analyses can nevertheless have
an effect on the concentration of metals in the soil solution. This coarse fraction is made up of the natural materials and
of technic materials constituting anthropogenic soils (plastic, paper, fabric, wood, bones, metallic elements and building
materials). These materials have variable capacities to release or adsorb trace elements. Samples representative of different
technic fraction components of Marrakech urban soils permit one to quantify their contribution to the enrichment of the soluble
metal concentrations. Works are carried out to achieve partial extractions of metals from the three fractions (less than 2
mm, coarse natural and coarse technic) of selected urban soils in order to determine their contribution to the metal contamination
of soils.
Materials and Methods Selected soils were collected from 9 sites according to a gradient of increasing anthropogenic influence from suburban to
urban zones. Soils were air-dried, homogenized, and sieved (2 mm). The coarse fraction was sorted to separate the different
technic materials and natural materials. Water extractions were run, on the natural, coarse fraction, on the complete technic
fraction of the 9 soils and on average samples made of technic materials sorted out of 58 topsoils sampled from different
sites in the city of Marrakech.
Results Results show that the percentage of the technic fraction increases while approaching the historic city center. It represented
about 14% in the most anthropogenically disturbed soils. Along this gradient, soils changed progressively from Anthrosols
to Technosols according to the WRB classification of urban and industrial soils. Analyses of metal contents showed that the
fine fraction (<2 mm) mainly contributed to the metallic contamination of the water soluble fraction. The natural coarse fraction
had the highest contribution to the copper release and was responsible for the release of all water-extractable copper in
some soils. Concerning the technic fraction, it has a significant contribution essentially in the most anthropogenically disturbed
soils as characterized by an elevated percentage of anthropogenic elements. The water extractable metal contents of average
samples of these anthropogenic elements shows that elevated metal concentrations were released by bones, wood, plastic and
fabric/paper.
Discussion This study concerns soils in urban areas, which are strongly impacted by human activities. Part of the soils can be classified
as Anthrosols, profoundly impacted through the addition of organic materials from household wastes, irrigation, or cultivation.
Other soils strongly impacted by human activities are Technosols dominated or strongly influenced by man-made materials. Technosols
appear mostly in urban and industrial areas and are more likely to be contaminated than Anthrosols. The composition and heterogeneity
of urban soils lead to modifications of the mobility and availability of pollutants depending on successive land-uses and
on the composition of technic materials. The fine fraction offers a high transferring surface capacity, leading to a high
mobilization of metals. The technic fraction contributes significantly to the metal release in the Technosols. This property
can be explained by a reversible adsorption of metals on the organic matter.
Conclusions Results confirm that anthropogenic activity causes a wide spatial diversity of soil quality in the urban and suburban area.
It introduces large amounts of technic materials in soils that could have an impact on the metal availability. It therefore
acts on the metal bioavailability in the urban Technosols.
Recommendations and Perspectives These results show that it is necessary, in addition to the characterization of the fine particles, to take into account the
contribution of the coarse fraction of the Technosols in the evaluation of risks of transfer of metals to the food chain. 相似文献

The Ardesen area is prone to landslides because of the climate conditions, geologic, and geomorphologic characteristics of the region. As in previous years, in 2001 due to heavy rainfall there were many landslides resulting in damage and human casualties. There is still a great danger of further landslides in the region. Therefore, it is vitally important to prepare a landslide susceptibility map of the region. In this study, the analytical hierarchy process (AHP), the statistical index (Wi), and weighting factor (Wf) methods were used to produce and later compare three susceptibility maps. For this purpose, thematic layers including landslide inventory, lithology-weathering, slope, aspect, land cover, distance to stream, drainage density, and distance to road were used. In this study area, 98% of landslides occurred in highly or completely weathered units. Lithology-weathering, land cover, and slope data layers were found to be important factors in the study area. To confirm the practicality of the three susceptibility maps were compared with a landslide activity map containing 16 active landslide zones. The outcome was that the active landslide zones do not completely fit into the high and very high susceptibility classes. But 81.3% of these landslide zones fall into the high and very high susceptibility zones of the AHP method while this is 62.5% in the case of Wi method, and 68.8% with the Wf method. In spite of the results obtained in this study, the development of a susceptibility map is usually determined by the needs and available resources. The results showed that the AHP method gave a more realistic picture of the actual distribution of landslide susceptibility, than the Wi and Wf methods. 相似文献

In order to study the salt effect on the wild wheat and durum wheat, three accessions of Aegilops geniculata L. from Ain zana, Zaghouan, and Sbitla and one variety of wheat (Triticum durum L.) have been grown in the INRAT green house and treated with different salt concentrations. The morphological, phenological
and yield characters have been measured for each plant and analyzed using SAS software. This study has shown a high degree
of variation of these characters mainly related to geographical origin. It was observed also that Sbitla accession was less

The genus Ganoderma Karst. has broad‐spectrum usage in biotechnology, medicine and the food industry. The complexity of the morphology within species has led to uncertain identification in the past, but recent advancements in molecular identification methods have provided scientists with the opportunity to better understand the taxonomy of the species. The present study attempts for the first time to elucidate the distinctiveness of the Ganoderma species growing in Iran concerning those elsewhere in the world based on mitochondrial small subunit ribosomal DNA (mtSSU rDNA) and internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequence data. A fusion DNA vaccine co-expressed Eimeria tenella TA4 and chicken IL-2 (chIL-2) was constructed and its efficacy against E. tenella challenge was observed. TA4 gene of E. tenella and chIL-2 gene were cloned into expression vector pcDNA3.1 and pcDNA4.0c in different forms, producing vaccines pcDNA3.1-TA4-IL-2, pcDNA3.1-TA4 and pcDNA4.0c-IL-2. The expression of aim genes in vivo was detected by RT-PCR and western blot. Animal experiment was carried out to evaluate the immune efficacy of the vaccines. Results indicated these DNA vaccines were successfully constructed and the antigen genes could be expressed effectively in vivo. The animal experimental results showed that DNA vaccines could obviously alleviate cecal lesions, body weight loss and increase oocyst decrease ratio. The ACI of pcDNA3.0-TA4-IL-2 group was 192, higher than that of pcDNA3.1-TA4 group. The results suggested that TA4 was an effective candidate antigen for vaccine and co-expression of cytokine with antigen was an alternative method to enhance DNA vaccine immunity. 相似文献

Intracellular pH-regulatory mechanisms are acquired by growing mouse oocytes with meiotic competence, and these mechanisms become fully active when the oocytes develop to the germinal vesicle (GV) stage as shown in CF1 and Balb/c strains mice. On the other hand, there is some evidence showing that intracellular pH-regulatory mechanisms are inhibited at the stages of Metaphase I (MI) and II (MII) oocytes in the CF1 strain mouse and hamster. Since it has been shown that the intracellular pH regulatory mechanism can be functionally different among mouse strains (e.g., CF1, Balb/c), the aim of this study was to investigate the activity of HCO3-/Cl- exchanger (anion exchanger, AE), which protects cells against alkalosis during the meiotic maturation process, in the GV oocyte up to the pronuclear (PN) zygote derived from the Balb/c strain mouse. Intracellular pH (pHi) was recorded using a microspectrofluorometric technique during meiotic maturation stages. KSOM-based solutions were used as culture and recording solutions. AE activity was determined using a Cl- removal assay and was reported as the change in pHi per minute. AE activity was high in GV stage oocytes but was significantly inhibited at the MI and MII stages. AE activity was higher in the PN zygote stage. This activity was significantly inhibited in all oocyte and zygote stages by 4,4'-Diisocyanatostilbene-2,2'-disulfonic acid disodium salt. After alkalosis induction, the pHi of MI and MII stage oocytes did not completely recover; however, almost complete recovery occurred in the GV stage oocytes and PN zygotes. AGPT and HA tests were employed for rapid diagnosis of PPRV infection in sheep and goats in Sudan. Forty lymph nodes and spleen
samples from suspected cases of PPR in both sheep and goats were examined by AGPT and HA tests for detection of PPRV antigen.
Viral antigen was detected from (77.5%) of the samples tested by AGPT and (92.5%) tested by HA test. The results of both tests
revealed that HA test was more sensitive than AGPT for detection of PPRV antigen (Kappa statistics 0.4366). Another advantage
of the HA test over AGPT was that it can differentiate PPRV from RPV. Thus the HA test represents a quick, easy, simple, cheap
and reliable confirmatory test for the diagnosis of PPR and differential diagnosis of PPRV and RPV. The HA test was carried
out using chicken, goat and pig RBCs. Chicken RBCs were found to be the most sensitive for detection of PPRV antigen, followed
by goat then pig RBCs. The HA time when using chicken RBCs was 20–25 minutes, using goat RBCs was 25–30 minutes and using
pig RBCs was 40–45 minutes. The distribution of PPR infection in four different regions of Sudan was investigated. 相似文献
