Given the importance of potassium (K) and phosphorus (P) contents to wheat yield and grain quality, and the very little experience that has been gained on nutritional monitoring of other than nitrogen using remotely sensed technologies, a study was undertaken to explore the possibility of identifying these mineral stresses using spectral data. Canopy spectra and biophysical data were collected from commercial and experimental fields in India and Israel. Traditional and newly developed vegetation indices, together with Partial Least Squares (PLS) regression models, were calculated in order to predict potassium and phosphorus contents from the wheat canopy spectral data. Results show that the application of PLS and specific narrow bands vegetation indices reached significant levels of accuracy in the retrieval of K and P levels, in comparison to traditional broad band indices. Additionally, it was observed that a significant improvement is obtained when the mineral total content is considered instead of the relative content. Therefore it was suggested that the biomass should also be retrieved from the spectral data. Finally, as very different crop conditions were included in this study, it was possible to confirm that the level of accuracy in the retrieval of K and P levels is related to the quality and variability of the data used for calibrating the models.  相似文献

Harvesting wheat (Triticium aestivum L.) for forage or leaving it for grain is the main decision uncertainty growers face in semi-arid regions during mid-season. To facilitate decision-making, a decision support system (DSS) has recently been proposed that requires information about crop water and nutritional status during spike emergence. Though remote sensing has been used to provide site-specific crop status information, a spectral vegetation index is needed to ensure that the information has been acquired during spike emergence. The objective of this study was to propose a spectral index sensitive to spike emergence and validate its suitability across different commercial farm fields by using ground spectral measurements and multispectral satellite imagery. To develop the index, controlled experiments with commonly grown wheat varieties were conducted during the 2004/2005 and 2005/2006 growing season in the agricultural area of the northern Negev desert of Israel. The experiments showed that spike emergence correlated most strongly (r = 0.7, p < 0.05) with spectral changes near the 1.2 μm water absorption feature in contrast to the band at 1.1 μm which appeared to be only weakly correlated. Thus, the spike emergence sensitive band at 1.2 μm has been combined with the insensitive band at 1.1 μm as reference to form the ratio-based normalized heading index (NHI). Experimental data were then used to establish an index threshold that helps separate data acquired before and after spike emergence. The proposed NHI was able to identify spike emergence with a classification accuracy varying between 53 and 83%. Accuracy was influenced by season, and whether narrow or broad spectral bands were used. Validation of the index in commercial farm fields in Israel and the United States showed that the classification accuracy was similar for ground spectral measurements and the advanced land imager (ALI) satellite imagery. These results suggest that the NHI is suited for identifying the onset of heading throughout wheat-growing areas without the need for characterizing seasonal trends.  相似文献

基于PLS-BPNN算法的土壤速效磷高光谱回归预测方法   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
土壤速效磷是影响作物生长发育的重要养分指标。光谱分析技术对速效磷的定量预测具有较好的应用前景,高光谱带宽窄、分辨率高,但存在数据冗余和共线性等问题。本文针对皖北砂姜黑土145个样本开展研究,提出了利用偏最小二乘回归算法(PLS-R)对土壤可见近红外高光谱数据(400~1 000 nm)进行数据降维和特征提取,根据交叉验证和变量投影重要性分别得到潜在变量和特征波长;再分别输入BP神经网络(BPNN)进行训练,得到回归分析模型对速效磷进行定量预测。结果表明:与利用全部波长数据建模的预测结果(校正集和验证集的相对分析误差M_(RPD)分别为10.27和2.09)相比,利用9个特征波长建立的回归模型校正集M_(RPD)为2.66,预测精度明显降低,而验证集M_(RPD)为2.05,近似达到利用全部波长数据建模的预测效果;利用5个潜在变量建立回归模型,校正集和验证集的M_(RPD)分别为3.10和2.29,其中验证集相对于全部波长建模的预测精度提高了9.6%。因此,基于PLS-BPNN算法进行回归建模可以有效降低高光谱数据冗余和共线性的影响,提高模型的泛化能力,且利用潜在变量进行回归建模能提高模型预测精度。  相似文献

A 7‐week‐old Labrador retriever presented for further investigation into acute onset regurgitation, following weaning from liquid to solid food. A videofluoroscopic swallow study demonstrated a severe, focal esophageal dilation in the mid‐cervical region, with marked luminal narrowing distally. Computed tomography with angiography revealed esophageal stenosis, extending from C4–T2, secondary to circumferential esophageal wall thickening. With the concern for development of secondary aspiration pneumonia, the owners elected to euthanize the dog and consented to postmortem examination. A diagnosis of segmental, cervical esophageal muscular hypertrophy was made on necropsy, consistent with the fibromuscular thickening type of congenital esophageal stenosis reported in humans.  相似文献

Typical mid-winter anthropogenic air pollution episodes are caused when pollutants are trapped in the lower atmospheric boundary layer due to the generation of surface inversion favored by synoptic conditions. We analyzed the optical properties of atmospheric aerosol particles obtained during one such episode using a sun/sky radiometer at two measurement sites: one located in the densely populated and industrialized central part of Israel, and the other in a reference site, about 150 km away. Aerosol optical thickness and volume size distributions showed an increased burden of fine aerosol particles in the central part of Israel. In order to verify the local origin and anthropogenic nature of the effect, the analysis was accompanied by examinations of the synoptic conditions, air mass backward trajectories, and conventional in situ air pollution measurements made by a ground-based sampling station. This case study shows the ability of optical measurements to track urban and industrial atmospheric air pollution expressed by high concentration of fine aerosol particles. In addition, it emphasizes the role of local Israeli air pollution sources and may explain the difference in the properties of long-term aerosol optical observations between the two sites. The advantages of the optical method presented are speed (almost instantaneous), automated measurement, and sensitivity to aerosol particle concentration as well as aerosol size fraction. The drawback is that the optical measurements discussed deal only with aerosol particles and cannot distinguish between different types of pollutant gases.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

To test the influence of avocado rootstocks on the scion leaf ionome, the nutritional status of avocado cultivars Hass and Ettinger grafted onto 15 rootstocks was compared over 3 years. The rootstocks were of different genetic origins (West Indian or Mexican) and were clonally or reproductively propagated. The trees were grown in a high-density orchard, and were continually fertigated as is common in modern avocado orchards. Leaf mineral composition was analysed and found to be correlated with crop load. ‘Hass’ leaves had significantly higher levels of B, Ca, Mg, Na, P and K than ‘Ettinger’ leaves. Rootstocks of Mexican origin produced higher foliar Cl levels, but lower levels of Mg and Mn. Rootstocks grown from seedlings conferred higher foliar K and lower B, Ca and Mg. The results demonstrate that avocado rootstocks affect the nutritional status of the tree, by a differential mineral transport, which is indicated by the scion leaf ionome.  相似文献

A 2-year-old male castrated Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was presented with paraplegia, cold caudal extremities and lack of femoral pulses. A 2 cm long thrombus occluding the aortic trifurcation and a 3 cm long abdominal aortic aneurysm with a thrombus were detected by ultrasonographic examination. The clinical and ultrasonographic findings were consistent with aortic thromboembolism. Anti-thrombotic and vasodilative therapy was not helpful and the dog was euthanized 3 days after the onset of paraplegia. A thrombus in the aortic trifurcation, multiple thoracic and abdominal aneurysms and a distal mediastinal esophageal granuloma containing Spirocera lupi worms were found on necropsy. The abdominal aortic aneurysms formed by S. lupi larval migration are believed to be responsible for the formation of the thrombus that occluded the aortic trifurcation. This is the first report of aortic thromboembolism associated with S. lupi infection.  相似文献

1. This study compared the effect of bilateral electrolytic lesions of the basomedial hypothalamus (HL) in broiler and White Leghorn (WL) males. 2. Hypothalamic lesions were placed in WL at 10 weeks of age (body weight 1.1 kg) and in broilers, either at 6 weeks (body weight 1.5kg) or at 10 weeks of age (body weight 3.4kg). They were fed ad libitum until autopsy at 16 and 17 weeks of age for broilers and WL, respectively. 3. Hypothalamic lesions caused obesity (high percentage weight of abdominal adipose tissue) in both strains. Obese fowls with unimpaired reproductive systems were classified as OB and those with functional castration as FC (functionally castrated) or FCLC (functionally castrated with large comb). 4. All post-HL syndromes-OB, FC and FCLC-were present in WL, whereas all obese broilers (which are immature at this age) were classified as OB. 5. The percentage weight of abdominal adipose tissue in OB broilers was lower than in OB WL (3% vs 5%, respectively). 6. Daily food intake of OB broilers was higher than control at 12 to 15 weeks of age, regardless of time of placement of HL, whereas daily food intake of OB WL was significantly higher than that of control WL only during the first 2 weeks following HL. 7. Body weight of OB broilers at autopsy was 20% higher than control broilers, whereas body weight of OB WL was not significantly affected. 8. An additional group of broilers was reared to sexual maturity under food restriction until 28 weeks of age. HL were placed at 10 weeks of age (body weight 1.7 kg). Autopsy was performed after a 4-week period of ad libitum feeding. 9. There were OB as well as FC and FCLC among the HL, food-restricted broilers. Percentage weight of testes and spleen were reduced in OB fowls of both strains, but more so in OB WL. 10. Hyperphagia and weight gain were not observed during the ad libitum feeding period of those obese broilers after HL, indicating that hyperphagia and weight gain are secondary to obesity.  相似文献
