The disease septoria tritici blotch of wheat is initiated by ascospores of the teleomorph Mycosphaerella graminicola or pycnidiospores of the anamorph Septoria tritici. We report for the first time the presence of the teleomorph, M. graminicola, in Denmark. With the objective of elucidating the importance of the teleomorph for the development of septoria tritici blotch, data on the occurrence of fruit bodies of the anamorph (pycnidia) and the teleomorph (pseudothecia) stages were collected over three growing seasons. Pseudothecia were present in the springs, however, high numbers of pseudothecia compared to pycnidia were not observed until July, too late to influence the epidemic. On an individual leaf layer, pycnidia were observed well before pseudothecia. As the leaves aged, progressively higher proportions of fruit bodies were observed to be pseudothecia. The period from the appearance of pycnidia to detection of pseudothecia was estimated as 29–53 days. At harvest, high proportions of sporulating fruit bodies in the crop were pseudothecia, suggesting that the primary source of inoculum for new emerging wheat crops in autumn is likely to be ascospores.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to reveal possible interactive effects of temperature and photoperiod on somatic and skeletal growth, feed conversion, organ indexes and blood chemistry in Atlantic salmon postsmolts. A total of 1140 (initial mean weight 96.0 g ± 3.1 SEM) juvenile Atlantic salmon reared in seawater were in duplicates exposed to six different combinations of temperatures (4.3, 6.5 or 9.3 °C) and photoperiods (continuous light, LL or simulated natural photoperiod (69ºN), LDN) for 124 days. An interactive effect of photoperiod and temperature on somatic growth was found as the fish exposed to low temperature and continuous light regime (4LL) had a significantly higher growth (30 % gain in overall SGR) than the 4LDN group, corresponding to the effect of approx. 1.2 °C temperature increase. Fish in the 6 and 9 °C groups did not show any significant growth benefit of continuous light. Compared to the 4LDN group, the 4LL group showed higher total feed conversion efficiency, lower levels of blood Na+ and lower hepato-somatic and cardio-somatic indexes. In the skeleton, cervical vertebra were largest in the 4LL group, while the length of the head was largest in the 4LDN group, continuous light promotes growth at lower temperatures while supporting a normal development. It is suggested that a considerable growth benefit may be achieved by exposing juvenile Atlantic salmon to continuous light when reared at low (in this trial 4.3 °C) water temperature during winter.  相似文献

Abstract. An increasing number of breeding sows is kept outdoors in Europe. Outdoor pig production has benefits in terms of animalwelfare but may have hidden costs through nutrient losses. We investigated the distribution of nutrients in sow paddocks and the consequence for losses and utilization in the succeeding crop. Significant correlation between soil inorganicNand the distance to feeding sites was observed after the paddocks had been used by lactating sows for 6 months (P<0.01). Near to feeders inorganic N levels became extremely high whereas 30–40m from feeders some patches hadN levels in the topsoil corresponding to the levels in the reference area without sows. In the following spring only a minor part of inorganic N was still present in the top 0–40 cm. Similarly, extractable P and exchangeable K in topsoil were significantly affected by distance to feeders with the highest values close to the feeders (P<0.001). In addition there were significant effects of the distance to huts with increasing nutrient content closer to huts. Although huge variations in dry matter production and nutrient content occurred in the succeeding potato crop, these were only weakly related to the distribution of nutrients (N, P and K) in the previous year, which explained 17%of the total variation in dry matter production. To increase nutrient efficiency in outdoor pig production a uniformdistribution of nutrients should be obtained by manipulating the excretory behaviour of the sows and stocking densities must be adjusted to locally acceptable nutrient surpluses.  相似文献

Carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) dynamics in a third production year ryegrass-clover mixture were investigated in the field. Cylinders (diameter 29.7 cm) were installed to depths of 20, 40 and 60 cm and equipped with suction cups to collect percolating pore water. Ryegrass and clover leaves were cross-labelled with 14C- and 15N-enriched urea and the fate of the two tracers was studied for 3 months during summer. Transfer of 14C occurred mainly from ryegrass to clover, whereas the largest transfer of 15N was in the opposite direction. The average transfer of N from clover was 40% (SE±3.1, n=9) of N in ryegrass, whereas the fraction of N in clover donated by ryegrass was 5% (±1.2, n=9). The amount of 14C transferred from ryegrass to clover was 1.7% (±0.1, n=9) of the 14C-activity in the total above-ground plant biomass found in the unlabelled clover and with a transfer from clover to ryegrass being 0.4% (±0.1, n=9). 15N-enriched compounds were not detected in percolating pore water, which may be caused by either dilution from irrigation or low availability of leachable N compounds. 14C was found solely as 14CO2 in the pore water indicating that dissolved organic carbon (DOC) did not originate from fresh root deposits. Transfer of 14C between the two species in the mixed crop alongside with high transfer of 15N despite a large percolation of pore water indicates that part of the N transfer occurred in non-leachable N-forms. The amount of N transferred between the two species was found to depend on the ratio between dry matter accumulated in the donating and receiving species, the 14C-allocation within the receiving species and the root turnover rate in the soil.  相似文献

This paper provides a conceptual framework to understand the innovation-based restructuring of industries in a regional context. The framework includes how firms create new assets, reuse existing assets, and overcome hampering barriers to support innovation processes. The framework also covers how such asset modifications take place at the innovation system level. A core argument is that innovation activity is strengthened and regional restructuring supported when firms’ internal assets are aligned with assets at the regional innovation system level. We illustrate the framework with empirical examples of how digitalization as an innovation process takes place in firms in traditional manufacturing industries and in local newspapers in the Agder region in southern Norway.  相似文献

A laboratory incubation study with clover grass pasture soils of seven different ages (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 16 production years) was carried out to determine initial soil carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) stocks and potentials for greenhouse gas emissions (N2O and CO2). Compared with the soil from the recently established pasture, an increase of total soil C and N was observed along with pasture age. Greenhouse gas emissions were low and not significantly different among the soils from younger pastures (0–5 years), but especially N2O emissions increased markedly in the soil from 16-year-old grass–clover. Low emissions might mainly be due to an early C limitation occurring in the soils from younger pastures, which was also corroborated by decreasing levels of cold water-extractable C and early shifts within the microbial community. However, higher emissions from the old pasture soil were offset by its increase in total soil C. A longer ley phase without soil disturbance may therefore be beneficial in terms of overall C sequestration in systems with temporary grass–clover swards.  相似文献

The absorption, metabolism and excretion of 3-acetyldeoxynivalenol (3-aDON) in pigs were studied. Pigs with a faecal microflora known to be able to de-epoxidate trichothecenes were used in the experiment. The pigs were fed a commercial diet with 3-aDON added in a concentration of 2.5 mg/kg feed for 2.5 days. No traces of 3-aDON or its de-epoxide metabolite were found in plasma, urine or faeces. Deoxynivalenol (DON) was detected in plasma as soon as 20 min after start of the feeding. The maximum concentration of DON in plasma was reached after 3 h and decreased rapidly thereafter. Only low concentrations close to the detection limit were found in plasma 8 h after start of the feeding. A significant part of the DON in plasma was in a glucuronide-conjugated form (42 +/- 7%). No accumulation of DON occurred in plasma during the 60 h of exposure. The excretion of DON was mainly in urine (45 +/- 26% of the toxin ingested by the pigs) and only low amounts of metabolites of 3-aDON (2 +/- 0.4%) were recovered in faeces. De-epoxide DON constituted 52 +/- 15% of the total amount of 3-aDON-metabolites detected in faeces. The remaining part in faeces was DON. DON was still present in the urine and faeces at the end of the sampling period 48 h after the last exposure. The results show that no de-epoxides are found in plasma or urine in pigs after trichothecene exposure, even in pigs having a faecal microflora with a de-epoxidation activity. The acetylated form of the toxin is deacetylated in vivo. Furthermore, the experiment shows that the main part of DON is rapidly excreted and does not accumulate in plasma, but a minor part of the toxin is retained and slowly excreted from the pigs.  相似文献
