We investigated the effects of a dual‐frequency frequency‐sweeping ultrasound (DFFSU) treatment on the functional properties and structure of zein. The solubility of ultrasound‐treated zein proteins increased slightly but significantly as the treatment time increased. The results showed that the DFFSU treatment had an obvious influence on the mean particle size and the size distribution. A significant (P < 0.05) increase in the size of the particles with respect to time was observed after a sonication time of more than 20 min in zein solutions. Differential scanning calorimetry results showed that sonication alters the thermal behavior of zein. Circular dichroism spectra showed a small increase in the percentage of ordered structure elements within the protein molecule. After 60 min of ultrasonication, the percentage of α‐helix structures increased by 0.9%, whereas the percentage of β‐sheets and β‐turns decreased by 0.5%. Microstructural analyses by scanning electron microscopy showed that several microholes appeared in the zein following ultrasonic pretreatment. Under the conditions investigated in this study, DFFSU treatment was found to affect the studied functional properties of the zein protein. This technology could be used to obtain improved functional properties in some protein samples. 相似文献

The degradation profile of glucosamine bulk form stressed at 100 degrees C for 2 h in an aqueous solution was studied. Column chromatography of acetylated product mixture led to isolation of two pure compounds (1b and 2b) and a mixture of at least three isomers (3b). 1a and 2a were identified as 5-(hydroxymethyl)-2-furaldehyde (5-HMF) and 2-(tetrahydroxybutyl)-5-(3',4'-dihydroxy-1'-trans-butenyl)pyrazine, respectively, by utilizing a variety of analytical techniques, such as GC-MS, LC-MS, on-line UV spectrum, (1)H and (13)C NMR, and DEPT, as well as (1)H-(1)H COSY. 3a was identified as 2-(tetrahydroxybutyl)-5-(2',3',4'-trihydroxybutyl)pyrazine, commonly known as deoxyfructosazine. In addition, glucosamine solid dosage form was exposed to 40 degrees C/75% relative humility for 10 weeks. Methanol extract of glucosamine solid dosage form was analyzed after acetylation by LC-MS, resulting in degradants 3b and 4b. 3a and 4a were, therefore, determined as deoxyfructosazine and 2,5-bis(tetrahydroxybutyl)pyrazine (fructosazine), respectively. Oxidation of elemental sulfur (S0) in 20 Chinese agricultural soils was tested and the effects of previous S0 applications on the oxidation of additional applied S0 in selected soils were investigated using laboratory, greenhouse, and field experiments. Results showed that sulfur oxidative capacities presented great variability among 20 tested soils, with a coefficient of variation of 92.4%. There were no significant relationships between S0 oxidation and physical and chemical properties of the selected soil. Previous S0 amendment significantly increased the oxidation rate of additional applied S0. These stimulatory effects after the first applications of S0 were greater than those after two applications. The percent increase in S0 oxidation rate due to S0 pretreatment was negatively correlated with the oxidation capacities of soils before S0 pretreatments. The significant reduction of sulfur oxidation in autoclaved soils and significant increase in S0 oxidation after inoculation with S0-treated soil suspension demonstrated that microbial oxidation was mainly responsible for the enhancement of soil oxidation ability after previous S0 amendments. 相似文献

油菜机械化收获过程出现的高损失率制约了油菜生产的发展,单纯从农机方面进行研究难以解决。该文从农机农艺相结合出发,对田间油菜植株特性进行测试研究。测试大田植株整体表现特性及不同密度下植株茎秆物理特性的田间表现,并在不同成熟度和催熟剂喷施情形下对油菜角果拉断力进行测试,获得了田间植株特性基础数据。结果表明适宜的种植密度有利于机械化收获作业,催熟剂的喷施对机收作业性能影响不大。研究获得了直播油菜的田间植株表现特征,同时为油菜机收配套农艺要求提供理论研究基础和参考依据。 相似文献
