This study describes the level of genetic variation and gene flow within and among populations of Prunus cerasoides in rehabilitated sites and adjacent intact forest. The seven microsatellite loci employed detected a total of 75 alleles (n = 401). Polymorphic information content (PIC) varied from 0.34 to 0.83. Between the adult populations there was moderate genetic differentiation with an F ST value of 0.0575, which suggests that the restoration plots had a similar genetic composition to that of the natural population. The gene flow assessment provides some interesting insights into the genetic diversity of P. cerasoides. In the 16 naturally occurring trees over 83% of the genotyped seed were fathered by unidentified trees whereas in restoration plot A only about 32% of the pollen came from an unidentified father. This proportion was even less in Plot C where 25% of the pollen parents were unidentified. The naturally occurring trees within Doi Suthep were surrounded by planted trees, which were contributing to the paternity of the seed crop. This result demonstrates that ‘‘fill in’’ planting should consist of locally sourced material if it is considered important to conserve the genetic integrity of the local populations.  相似文献

The participation of agricultural producers in financing losses caused by livestock epidemics has been debated in many countries. One of the issues raised is how reluctant producers are to participate voluntarily in the financing of disease losses before an outbreak occurs. This study contributes to the literature by examining whether disease losses should be financed through pre- or post-outbreak premiums or their combination. A Monte Carlo simulation was employed to illustrate the costs of financing two diseases of different profiles. The profiles differed in the probability in which the damage occurs and in the average damage per event. Three hypothetical financing schemes were compared based on their ability to reduce utility losses in the case of risk-neutral and risk-averse producer groups. The schemes were examined in a dynamic setting where premiums depended on the compensation history of the sector. If producers choose the preferred financing scheme based on utility losses, results suggest that the timing of the premiums, the transaction costs of the scheme, the degree of risk aversion of the producer, and the level and the volatility of premiums affect the choice of the financing scheme.  相似文献

Updating of working memory has been associated with striato-frontal brain regions and phasic dopaminergic neurotransmission. We assessed raclopride binding to striatal dopamine (DA) D2 receptors during a letter-updating task and a control condition before and after 5 weeks of updating training. Results showed that updating affected DA activity before training and that training further increased striatal DA release during updating. These findings highlight the pivotal role of transient neural processes associated with D2 receptor activity in working memory.  相似文献

The ascomycete Gremmeniella abietina causes a disease (scleroderris canker) on conifers. The pathogen kills terminal shoots and branches of Pinus sylvestris and Picea abies, sporulates on host shoots and causes leader changes (i.e. dieback). Damage caused by G. abietina was investigated in young P. abies and P. sylvestris plantations in northern Finland. Side branches from seedlings of both species and the main stems of P. sylvestris were collected from three sites in two locations (Poksa 1 and 2, Kivalo) in northern Finland. The number of cankers and leader changes was counted in branches of each age (i.e. year) in a total of ca. 6300 shoots of P. abies and 1200 shoots of P. sylvestris. Cankers were common on both P. abies and P. sylvestris in Poksa 1 (2002–2008) and on P. abies in Poksa 2 (1998–2001). In Kivalo, cankers occurred only sporadically on P. sylvestris. Leader changes were most frequent in 1999–2009 in Poksa 1, in 2001–2009 in Poksa 2 and in 2003 in Kivalo. Cankers and other symptoms of infection were more obscure on P. abies than on P. sylvestris. According to both conidial morphology and molecular analysis, the strain of G. abietina infecting both P. abies and P. sylvestris was small‐tree type (STT). This is the first report of G. abietina, STT or B type, injuring P. abies in plantations.  相似文献

Fungal isolations and genetic fingerprinting were used to determine whether Phlebiopsis gigantea stump treatment against Heterobasidion annosum sl. using a single genotype (Rotstop) would affect the genetic diversity of P. gigantea populations. The survival time of P. gigantea was longer in Norway spruce (Picea abies) stumps compared to Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) as no isolates were obtained from pine stumps 6 years after treatment, whereas in about half of the spruce stumps the fungus was still present. The usage of Rotstop did not seem to increase the occurrence of the fungus 5 years after the treatment in fresh (1‐year‐old) untreated stumps within the same forest stands. All the isolates from the 6‐year‐old treated spruce stumps were identical in genotype with the Rotstop‐strain, whereas all isolates from the fresh untreated spruce and pine stumps differed from it. Within the treated pine stand, the biocontrol usage seemed to have caused a slight reduction in genetic markers not related to Rotstop, but there were no statistically significant differences between the marker frequencies and the local natural population. Thus, Rotstop is not likely to cause any immediate threat to the genetic diversity of P. gigantea.  相似文献

从北美、欧洲和中国收集23个高卢密环菌菌株,PCR扩增其rDNA的IGS和ITS区域,用AluI,HaeIII,HinfI和TagI四种限制性内切酶进行酶切,同时结合随机扩增微卫生(RAMS)多态性,对北半球的高卢蜜环菌的遗传多样性进行了分析,结果发现了高卢蜜环菌的6种IGS-RFLP图谱类型,其中gal(B)和gal(D)是国内外无报道的新的IGS-RFLP型,RFLP系统树发现该种有明显的大陆之间的遗传分化,存在中国,欧洲,北美和亚洲4个亚群体,RAMS分析表明北半球高卢蜜环菌存在亚洲,欧洲,北美-中国和北美-欧洲和北美-欧洲等4个高卢蜜环菌发育系,而且不同大陆的高卢蜜环菌具有较近的亲缘关系,而相同大陆的却具有不同的起源,特别是北美的高卢蜜环菌两个发育系异源性很高,北美东部的发育系同欧洲的关系比较近,而北西部的同亚洲关系比较近,同时表明RAMS技术是分析菌物种内遗传多样性的优越方法。  相似文献

Thirteen homokaryotic strains of Phlebiopsis gigantea from Canada, six strains from the US and 10 strains from Europe were paired in all possible combinations in order to determine the degree of interfertility between them. The diagnosis of interfertility was based on the production of heterokaryotic fruit bodies in the pairings. Among the resulting 406 pairings, 253 (62%) fruited. Within the strains originating from Canada, USA and Europe, 64, 80 and 64% of the pairings fruited, respectively. The fruiting frequency in pairings between the Canadian and US strains was 65%, between the Canadian and European strains 55%, and between the US and European strains 67%. True hybridization between the European and North American P. gigantea was shown by analysing the single‐spore progeny using DNA fingerprinting. In spite of the relatively low interfertility in pairings within and between continents, no clear indication of the existence of intersterility groups was found. The low interfertility is probably due to the ageing of the pure cultures and to deficient fruiting ability of certain heterokaryons on agar medium. The results strongly suggest that although the North American and European strains of P. gigantea show some differentiation they can be regarded as belonging to the same biological species.  相似文献

The analysis of random amplified microsatellite (RAMS) markers among aecia of the causal agent of the resin top disease (Peridermium pini) on Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) suggested that the genetic variation between the populations of this rust fungus is low in Finland. The method used allowed the identification of heterozygotic aecia in two loci, where the degree of heterozygosity was, however, low. The RAMS patterns of the Finnish aeciospores, other aeciospores from Thetford, UK and Cronartium flaccidum from Italy were highly similar suggesting that the autoecious and heteroecious forms of these rust fungi would be genetically closely related.  相似文献

Natural sporulation of a pine stem rust, Cronartium flaccidum, was investigated in forested habitats in northern Finland. First, a diffuse sample (100) of seven species of hemiparasitic plants was collected in their natural habitats close to one another. C. flaccidum was found to sporulate on six species. The rust was most common on Melampyrum sylvaticum with 21% of the plants and 2% of the leaves carrying telia. Telia occurred occasionally also on Euphrasia frigida, E. nemorosa, E. stricta, Pedicularis palustris ssp. palustris and Melampyrum pratense (less than 5% of the plants and 0.3% of the leaves). The rust was absent on Rhinanthus minor. Second, a diffuse sample of each of M. sylvaticum, M. pratense, Euphrasia sp. and Rhinanthus sp. was collected from 10 sample plots surrounding the city area. C. flaccidum occurred on 0.29% of the leaves of M. sylvaticum, and 0.02%–0.03% of M. pratense and Euphrasia, but it was lacking from Rhinanthus. The results indicated that C. flaccidum was most common and widespread on M. sylvaticum, but sporulated sporadically also on Euphrasia sp., P. palustris and M. pratense. This is the first report of sporulation of C. flaccidum on Euphrasia frigida and E. nemorosa in their natural habitats. In contrast, a second rust observed in this survey, Coleosporium sp. needle rust, was much more common than C. flaccidum on the investigated plants. In the first site, 43%–54% of plants and 8%–17% of leaves of Melampyrum spp. and 0%–13% of plants and 0%–2% of leaves of Euphrasia spp., Rhinanthus minor and Pedicularis palustris carried uredinia or telia. In the second site, 9%–15% of leaves of Melampyrum spp. and 1%–2% of Euphrasia sp. and Rhinanthus sp. carried rust uredinia and/or telia. The results indicate frequent spore dispersal of both Cronartium and Coleosporium in the area, and versatile rust sporulation on hemiparasitic plant species.  相似文献

Susceptibility of 18 alternate host species to Cronartium flaccidum or C. ribicola was tested. Alive test plants were inoculated in the greenhouse and the formation of Cronartium uredinia and telia was followed on the plants for 8 weeks. Cronartium flaccidum formed uredinia and telia on Bartsia alpina and Euphrasia stricta (Orobanchaceae), Nasa triphylla and N. urens (Loasaceae), Nemesia floribunda (Scrophulariaceae), Tropaeolum majus (Tropaeolaceae), Veronica daurica (Plantaginaceae) and Vincetoxicum hirundinaria (Apocynaceae). Single uredinia or telia developed also on N. urens and E. stricta inoculated with C. ribicola. For the first time, Cronartium are reported to sporulate on members of Loasaceae and Scrophulariaceae, N. urens and N. floribunda.  相似文献
