The sorption of N-[[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)amino]carbonyl]-1-methyl-4-(2-methyl-2H-tetrazole-5-yl)1H-pyrazole-5-sulfonamide (AZS) on an iron oxide, iron(III)-humate, and an Fe3+-saturated clay was studied using a batch equilibrium method. Generally, 20 mg of each colloid was equilibrated with 20 mL of AZS solution (1.5-12.7 microM). The sorption on iron-montmorillonite and iron oxide was rapid, and the equilibrium was attained within 1.5 and 5 h, respectively. In the case of Fe-saturated humic acid the equilibrium time was 20 h. After equilibration, the phases were centrifuged (19000g, 15 min) and the supernatant was sampled and analyzed by HPLC. The values of Freundlich constants indicate that iron oxide (Kads = 199.5) shows the highest sorptive capacity toward AZS, followed by iron(III)-clay (Kads = 146.6) and iron(III)-humate (Kads = 108.2). With elapsing time, AZS degradation was observed in all colloidal suspensions. Iron-humate (t(1/2) = 136 h) is most effective in promoting AZS degradation, followed by iron oxide (t(1/2) = 204 h) and iron-clay (t(1/2) = 385 h). The metabolites 2-amino-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine and 1-methyl-4-(2-methyl-2H-tetrazole-5-yl)-1H-pyrazole-5-sulfonamide, arising from a hydrolytic cleavage of the sulfonylurea bridge, were the only byproducts observed. A Fourier transform infrared study suggests that the sorption of AZS on iron-clay involves the protonation of one of the two basic pyrimidine nitrogens induced by the acidic water surrounding the saturating Fe3+ ions. Instead, the formation of a six-membered chelated complex favors the sorption of AZS on iron oxide.  相似文献

Iron forms which characterize the clay fraction of four Cambisols from granite and the distribution of iron oxides in the soil profiles are studied by Mössbauer spectroscopy, X-ray diffractometry and selected chemical methods. The results obtained show that about 50 % of the Fet(6–10 % Fe) is not extracted by dithionite. The Feo/Fed ranges between 0.15 and 0.35. Oxalate dissolves goethite in different amounts, probably depending on the particle size and the Al-substitution level. The highest amount of hematite is found in the samples characterized by the lowest internal magnetic fields, suggesting that the soil distribution of hematite and goethite is related to environmental factors favouring or disfavouring Al-for-Fe substitution and crystallinity of the oxides.  相似文献

The sorption and desorption of the herbicide azimsulfuron, N-[[(4-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)amino]carbonyl]1-methyl-4-(2-methyl-2H-tetrazole-5-yl)1H-pyrazole-5-sulfonamide, were studied using five soils. Sorption isotherms conformed to the Freundlich equation. It was found that pH is the main factor influencing the sorption and that the sorption on soils was negatively correlated with pH. The highest level of sorption was measured on soils with low pH and high organic carbon content. Moreover, inorganic soil colloids, for example, smectite clay minerals and iron oxides, contributed to the sorption of azimsulfuron. Desorption was hysteretic on soils with high organic and inorganic colloid contents.  相似文献

The adsorption and desorption of the herbicide triasulfuron [2-(2-chloroethoxy)-N-[[(4-methoxy-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)amino]carbonyl]benzenesulfonamide] by three soils, soil organic matter (H(+) and Ca(2+)-saturated), and an amorphous iron oxide were studied. Adsorption isotherms conformed to the Freundlich equation. It was found that pH is the main factor influencing the adsorption in all of the systems. Indeed, the adsorption on soils was negatively correlated with pH. The highest level of adsorption was measured on soils with low pH and high organic carbon content. Moreover, it was found that humic acid is more effective in the adsorption compared with calcium humate (the pH values of the suspensions being 3.5 and 6, respectively). Experiments on amorphous iron oxide confirmed the pH dependence. Desorption was hysteretic on soils having high organic carbon content.  相似文献

Potentiometric titrations of Na-bentonite, saturated at pH 8.2 and subjected to dialysis, reveal two buffer ranges: the first, between pH 5.5 and 7.5, appears after dialysis for only 30 min; the second begins to appear after several hours, becoming progressively more pronounced as dialysis proceeds. The latter is identified with the buffer range of exchangeable Al.

Dialysis carried out on Ca-bentonite does produce a “third buffer range”, but does not result in that of Al3+, even if prolonged.

From an analysis of the exchanger, the amount of dialised cation is seen to be the same as that employed in the titration. Hence, the sum in meq (milli-equivalents) of adsorbed cation (SM) plus NaOH employed in the titration (TNaOH) is always equal to the CEC at pH 8.2.

Hydrolysis of the weak acid groups responsible for the “third buffer range” is dependent on the presence of electrolyte; M-bentonite (M = Na or Ca) brought to pH 8.2, washed with CH3 OH and dispersed in water, exhibits a rise in pH values.

These results indicate that certain sites in the bentonite exchange complex hydrolyse extremely easily, irrespective of which cation is adsorbed. Others do so more slowly if the cation is Na+ and not at all if it is Ca2+. Thus, in bentonites, the weak acid functional groups which deprotonate between pH 5.5 and pH 7.5 can be considered of lattice origin (probably SiOH groups), and it is to these that the pH-dependent charge is probably due.  相似文献

Pathology of experimentally-induced, acute toxoplasmosis in macropods   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
SUMMARY Thirteen Tammar wallabies (Macropus eugenii) were dosed orally with 500, 1000 or 10 000 oocysts of Toxoplasma gondii, as part of a vaccination trial. Eleven animals died of acute toxoplasmosis 9 to 15 days after challenge. The lesions were similar in all animals, consisting of foci of necrosis and inflammation in the intestines, lymphoid tissue, adrenal cortex, heart, skeletal muscle and brain, and severe generalised pulmonary congestion and oedema. Free and intracellular tachyzoites of Toxoplasma were associated with the lesions. The remaining 2 animals had shown no signs of disease when euthanased four months after challenge. Small, focal, non-suppurative inflammatory lesions were seen in brain, heart and skeletal muscle of these animals and chronic Toxoplasma infection was confirmed by mouse inoculation.  相似文献

This study aimed to evaluate various concentrations of egg yolk (5, 10, or 20%) in combination with different concentrations of glycerol (3% or 6%) added to a Tris‐based extender on the post‐thaw characteristics of sperm obtained from Tayassu tajacu. For this purpose, semen from 10 sexually male mature collared peccaries was collected by electroejaculation and evaluated for sperm motility, vigour, viability, morphology and functional membrane integrity. The ejaculates were initially extended in Tris‐fructose plus egg yolk (5%, 10% or 20%). After cooling, the semen was added to Tris‐egg yolk plus glycerol (6% or 12%), resulting in a final concentration of 3% or 6% glycerol of the extender. Straws were frozen using liquid nitrogen and thawed in a water bath at 37°C for 30 s. The frozen–thawed semen was evaluated as reported for fresh semen. After thawing, a significant decrease was verified for sperm motility and vigour, for all the samples in comparison with fresh semen. However, no differences were evidenced among treatments for any sperm characteristics evaluated (p > 0.05), except for the combination between 10% egg yolk and 6% glycerol, which provided the worst preservation of functional membrane integrity (p < 0.05). The interactions between higher concentrations of egg yolk (20%) and glycerol (6%) and also between lower concentrations of the same substances (5% egg yolk and 3% glycerol) added to the Tris‐based extender negatively affected the preservation of the normal sperm morphology after thawing (p < 0.05). In conclusion, the use of Tris‐based extender added to 10% or 20% egg yolk plus 3% glycerol is recommended for effective sperm cryopreservation in collared peccaries.  相似文献

Western flower thrips (WFT) is one of the most economically important pest insects of many crops worldwide. Recent EU legislation has caused a dramatic shift in pest management strategies, pushing for tactics that are less reliable on chemicals. The development of alternative strategies is therefore an issue of increasing urgency. This paper reviews the main control tactics in integrated pest management (IPM) of WFT, with the focus on biological control and host plant resistance as areas of major progress. Knowledge gaps are identified and innovative approaches emphasised, highlighting the advances in ‘omics’ technologies. Successful programmes are most likely generated when preventive and therapeutic strategies with mutually beneficial, cost‐effective and environmentally sound foundations are incorporated. © 2017 The Authors.
