We evaluated misting nozzle types and the coating on the bucket’s inner wall on the yield of basic potato seed minitubers. Tubers of potato cv. Agata were sprouted in a non-acclimatized greenhouse from June to September 2013. Six treatments were evaluated, three types of misting nozzle (32 L/h with anti-drip, 32 L/h without anti-drip, and 9 L/h without anti-drip) and two types of bucket inner lining, with and without polyurethane, with four replications. Dry weight of roots, stems and leaves besides minituber number and tuber fresh weight were evaluated. The “UFV Aeroponic System” effectively produces minitubers and should be equipped with a fogger with an outflow of 32 L/h without anti-drip and no inner lining of the bucket for optimal yield. 相似文献

Two new isocoumarin derivatives, including a new 5-hydroxy-8-methyl-2H, 6H-pyrano[3,4-g]chromen-2,6-dione (1) and 6,8-dihydroxy-3,7-dimethylisocoumarin (2b), a new chevalone derivative, named chevalone E (3), and a new natural product pyripyropene S (6) were isolated together with 6, 8-dihydroxy-3-methylisocoumarin (2a), reticulol (2c), p-hydroxybenzaldehyde, chevalone B, chevalone C, S14-95 (4), and pyripyropene E (5) from the ethyl acetate extract of the undescribed marine sponge-associated fungus Aspergillus similanensis KUFA 0013. The structures of the new compounds were established based on 1D and 2D NMR spectral analysis, and in the case of compound 3, X-ray analysis was used to confirm its structure and the absolute configuration of its stereogenic carbons. Compounds 1, 2a–c and 3–6 were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, Candida albicans ATCC 10231, and multidrug-resistant isolates from the environment. Chevalone E (3) was found to show synergism with the antibiotic oxacillin against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). 相似文献

This study evaluated the toxicity of ammonia and nitrite to different larval stages of Macrobrachium carcinus. Three replicated groups of larvae in the zoea stages II, V, and VIII (hence named Z2, Z5, and Z8, respectively) were exposed separately to five ammonia (5, 10, 20, 40, and 80 mg total ammonia nitrogen [TAN]/L) and six nitrite concentrations (5, 10, 20, 40, 80, and 160 mg NO2‐N/L), plus a control treatment with no addition of ammonia and nitrite, at a salinity of 20 g/L. The ammonia LC50 values at 96 h for Z2, Z5, and Z8 were 8.34, 13.84, and 15.03 mg TAN/L (0.50, 0.71, and 0.92 mg NH3‐N/L), respectively, and the nitrite LC50 values at 96 h for Z2, Z5, and Z8 were 3.28, 9.73, and 34.00 mg NO2‐N/L, respectively. The estimated LC50 values for NO2‐N were lower than those for TAN in most of the stages evaluated. This observation suggests that M. carcinus larvae are more tolerant to ammonia, except at Z8, in which larvae had a higher tolerance to nitrite. Based on the lethal concentrations at 96 h, it may be concluded that the tolerance of M. carcinus to ammonia and nitrite increases with larval development. Safe levels were estimated to be 0.834 mg TAN/L (0.05 mg NH3‐N/L) and 0.328 mg NO2‐N/L; therefore, efforts should be made to maintain lower concentrations of these compounds throughout the larval rearing of M. carcinus. 相似文献

Grinding soil for analysis causes the destruction of aggregates and may expose adsorption sites that would not be available for adsorption in the soil with preserved structure. The study aimed to evaluate the adsorption of P in three soils with and without preserved structure, submitted to pig slurry (PS) application for a long time. Three soils (Acrisol, Ferralssol and Nitisol) with contrasting textures and P contents, with and without PS were selected and samples were collected with and without preserved structure in the 0–10 and 10–20 cm layers. The undisturbed soil columns were submitted to continuous flow, for 10–24 h, of 300 mg L?1 P solution and, at regular intervals, aliquots of the resulting solution were collected and the P content was determined. These data were adjusted exponential models to estimate the maximum adsorption of P. The maximum capacity of P adsorption of the soils were 1.4 to 14 times higher in the milled soil samples, making it clear that the destruction of the soil structure, and consequently the porosity and the preferential paths of percolation of the liquids in the soil leads to an overestimation of the soil capacity to adsorb the P applied to the surface. 相似文献

Bayesian estimation via Gibbs sampling, REML, and Method R were compared for their empirical sampling properties in estimating genetic parameters from data subject to parental selection using an infinitesimal animal model. Models with and without contemporary groups, random or nonrandom parental selection, two levels of heritability, and none or 15% randomly missing pedigree information were considered. Nonrandom parental selection caused similar effects on estimates of variance components from all three methods. When pedigree information was complete, REML and Bayesian estimation were not biased by nonrandom parental selection for models with or without contemporary groups. Method R estimates, however, were strongly biased by nonrandom parental selection when contemporary groups were in the model. The bias was empirically shown to be a consequence of not fully accounting for gametic phase disequilibrium in the subsamples. The joint effects of nonrandom parental selection and missing pedigree information caused estimates from all methods to be highly biased. Missing pedigree information did not cause biased estimates in random mating populations. Method R estimates usually had greater mean square errors than did REML and Bayesian estimates. 相似文献

Gossypium mustelinum Miers ex Watt is a native from Northeastern Brazil and belongs to the primary gene pool of the cultivated cotton. The unique
places where the species was known to occur were visited to plan ex situ and in situ preservation. Two populations at Caicó became extinct, and only eleven individuals were found. At Jaguarari, although one
population became extinct, a new one was localized with approximately 500 adult plants, where a fence avoided cattle feeding.
The population from Macururé consisted of 28 plants protected from animals by thorns of Bromelia laciniosa Mart. ex Schult. f. Thirteen SSR primer pairs amplified 40 alleles, among which 30% were exclusive of one of the populations.
The genetic differences between populations represented 58.3% of the total genetic variation observed. The high genetic distances
are likely to be caused by geographical isolation as well as by the small number of individuals which contribute to new generations,
