Different proportions of tomato waste compost (TWC) were combined with peat moss and vermiculite as growth substrates used to evaluate the quality of seedlings of economic vegetables, including tomato, hot pepper, cucumber and summer squash. The seeding substrates used were: (T0), vermiculite: peat moss: TWC (4: 1: 0, by weight), 0% TWC; (T1), vermiculite: peat: TWC (4: 0.75: 0.25), 5% TWC; (T2), vermiculite: peat: TWC (4: 0.5: 0.5), 10% TWC; (T3), vermiculite: peat: TWC (4: 0.25: 0.75), 15% TWC; and (T4), vermiculite: peat: TWC (4: 0: 1), 20% TWC. The best seedling response was recorded in substrate mixtures supplemented with 5% and 10% TWC, which hastened seed germination and improved seedling morphology. Since vegetable seedlings produced with TWC-amended substrate were of higher quality, compared to those produced exclusively on peat substrate, we suggest that TWC may be used to replace partially peat-based substrate used for vegetable transplants production in nurseries.  相似文献

玉米秸基质是一种新开发的替代草炭的基质,研究其在园艺作物栽培和育苗中的配套应用技术有重要意义。该文以番茄为试材,采用正交试验设计,研究了蛭石与发酵玉米秸基质的复配比例、烘干鸡粪添加量及基质相对含水率对玉米秸基质穴盘育苗的影响。结果表明:3因素对番茄幼苗地上部生长影响的主次顺序是鸡粪添加量>基质相对含水率>基质配比,对地下部生长影响的主次顺序是基质相对含水率>基质配比>鸡粪添加量;通过验证试验,综合考虑育苗效果及经济性得出最优组合处理为:基质相对含水率85%;玉米秸基质︰蛭石(V︰V)=1︰1;鸡粪添加量为每穴盘15 g。该试验结果为玉米秸基质应用及新基质开发提供了参考。  相似文献

三种堆肥对番茄生长及青枯病防治效果的影响   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
合理施用堆肥能够有效地改善植物的生长条件和土壤的生态环境,从而提高植物对病害的抗性。通过盆栽试验,研究了药渣、 污泥和猪粪三种堆肥以不同比例与泥炭混合对番茄植株生长和番茄青枯病防治的影响。结果表明: 三种不同堆肥均能促进番茄植株生长,其中猪粪堆肥对番茄生长的促进效果最显著,当泥炭与猪粪的混合比例为3∶1时效果最好,当收获番茄植株时,其鲜重和干重较泥炭基础基质处理分别提高了29.8%和41.2%,污泥堆肥次之,药渣堆肥最差; 三种不同堆肥都能抑制青枯病的发生,药渣堆肥对番茄青枯病的抑制效果最明显,当泥炭与药渣的混合比例为4∶1时效果最好,在番茄植株移栽33d 时,其病情指数较泥炭基础基质降低了66.7%,污泥堆肥次之,猪粪堆肥最差。添加不同堆肥使得盆栽基质的理化性质、 酶活性和可培养微生物的数量发生了不同的变化,推测可能是上述因素的变化使其对番茄的生长和青枯病的防治效果产生了明显的差异。  相似文献

为优化蔬菜育苗成型基质的配方,提高成型基质蔬菜育苗效果,分别以牛粪好氧堆肥腐熟料和牛粪蚯蚓堆肥腐熟料为主料,草炭为辅料,吸水树脂为膨胀剂,木醋液为调节剂,黄瓜为指示植物,研究不同配方对成型基质块成型及育苗效果的影响,并对各目标指标进行综合评价,以确定较佳的成型育苗基质配方。试验结果表明:牛粪好氧堆肥腐熟料制成的成型基质块在膨胀性能、抗跌碎性及育苗期间破损情况优于牛粪蚯蚓堆肥腐熟料制成的成型基质块,但其p H值、EC值较高,使其存活率和茎粗株高等育苗特性与牛粪蚯蚓堆肥腐熟料相比较差。2种腐熟料基质配方可采取不同的调节方法改善其特性,蚯蚓堆肥腐熟料中添加适量秸秆类纤维状物质可以减小其成型基质块的跌碎率和破损率,牛粪好氧堆肥腐熟料中添加硫磺粉可以调节p H值。从基质块质量综合指数来看,既适合成型又有利于育苗效果的配方为:腐熟料和辅料的体积比为3:2~4:3;成型基质块中膨胀剂的含量以该试验中最小添加量27 m L左右最为合适,与总物料(腐熟料和辅料混合后的物料)的比值为5.5 m L/L;木醋液在2种腐熟料中的添加量不同,在牛粪好氧腐熟料中,木醋液添加量约为8.5 m L/L,而牛粪蚯蚓腐熟料中则为18 m L/L,此时两种腐熟料成型基质块的跌碎率均小于5%,破损率均小于20%和小于40%,幼苗存活率分别大于40%和大于70%,全株干质量全部大于100 mg。该研究结果可为蔬菜有机栽培成型基质的开发及其品质改善提供理论依据,具有重要意义。  相似文献

以草炭、椰糠为对照,研究腐熟木薯茎秆对番茄、黄瓜、丝瓜、茄子、大吊瓜及西瓜的育苗效果,为木薯茎秆作为育苗基质提供依据。育苗结果表明:(1)原木薯茎秆用于番茄育苗时,其发芽率、株高、茎粗及真叶数与草炭育的番茄效果相当;过2 mm筛木薯茎秆对番茄育苗效果不如草炭,但优于椰糠;原木薯茎秆用于黄瓜育苗时,其发芽率、株高、茎粗及真叶数与草炭、椰糠育的黄瓜效果相当;原木薯茎秆对番茄、黄瓜的育苗效果优于过2 mm筛木薯茎秆。(2)原木薯茎秆、过2 mm筛木薯茎秆对丝瓜、大吊瓜和西瓜的育苗效果不如草炭、椰糠,但对茄子的育苗效果优于椰糠。总的看来,腐熟木薯茎秆可用于番茄、黄瓜、茄子育苗,而不宜单独用于丝瓜、大吊瓜和西瓜育苗。  相似文献

For 3 years, different types of growing media were evaluated in nursery-produced tomatoes (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill. cv “Atletico”). Five mixtures of substrates were used: old peat (65%) + white peat (30%) + perlite (5%), old peat (65%) + MSW compost (30%) + perlite (5%), MSW compost (65%) + white peat (30%) + perlite (5%), MSW compost (95%) + perlite (5%) and MSW compost (50%) + cocofiber (50%). Various seedling indices were measured in order to assess the quality of the nursery-produced plant. The quality of the MSW compost used (pH, salinity, organic matter) bore a strong influence on results. Electrical conductivity (EC) values of the MSW compost of over 9 dSm?1 produced poorer quality tomato seedlings in the mixture of substrates with peat. The use of MSW compost as the only substrate and the mixture of MSW compost with cocofiber had a lower growth index and poorer performance than the standard peat mixture. However, growth and development of the tomato seedlings in the mixture: old peat (65%) + MSW compost (30%) + perlite (5%) were similar to that obtained with the standard mixture: old peat (65%) + white peat (30%) + perlite (5%).  相似文献

The use of compost with high salt concentration was evaluated, under commercial conditions, as a potential growing media constituent for vegetable transplant production. Two composts were prepared from sweet sorghum bagasse, pine bark, and either urea (compost A) or brewery sludge (compost B) as N source. Three vegetable species — broccoli (Brassica oleracea), tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum), and onion (Allium cepa) with different tolerance to salinity were used. Eleven substrates were formulated and tested: a control consisting of a moss peat-based commercial substrate; compost A; compost B; and, eight mixtures containing 33 or 67% by volume of each compost with either raw peat moss or commercial substrate as diluent. All the substrates prepared had suitable physical, physicochemical and chemical properties for use as growing media, except for the electrical conductivity (ranging from 3.20 to 13.21 dS m?1) which was above the reference levels for soilless cultivation. Broccoli was the least affected by substrate salinity whilst tomato was the most. Onion transplants had an intermediate response to saline conditions. Tomato seed germination was markedly reduced when compost A, with a higher salt concentration, was used at a rate higher than 67%. Media prepared with either of the composts, and mixed with either a commercial substrate or peat in a rate up to 67%, did not cause any detrimental effect on the growth and nutritional status of broccoli, tomato and onion transplants, despite the high initial salinity of the substrates. These composts appear to be acceptable substitutes for Sphagnum peat in seed sowing mixtures.  相似文献

草炭是一种广泛应用的优良作物栽培基质,过度开采会对环境造成危害,研究性能稳定能够替代草炭基质的材料一直受到国内外的重视。该文把单位体积的玉米秸基质加入2倍体积的水中浸泡不同时间,风干后与一定比例的蛭石混配作为育苗基质,以草炭基质为对照,进行番茄育苗试验。在育苗期间,定期观测幼苗地上部、地下部的相关形态指标及干物质积累指标,研究水浸泡时间对玉米秸基质育苗效果的影响,结果表明:水浸泡的玉米秸基质能促进番茄幼苗的生长,增加地上部、地下部及全株鲜质量和干质量,并且这种效果随播种后天数的延长表现的更为明显;不同浸泡时间对番茄幼苗生长的影响有差异,延长浸泡时间对番茄幼苗的生长和干物质积累有明显促进作用,但浸泡时间过长,这种效果有减弱趋势,以浸泡10 d的处理育苗效果最优。浸泡10 d的玉米秸基质可以替代草炭基质用于番茄育苗,水浸泡是改良玉米秸基质理化性状的有效措施。  相似文献

Three windrows were constructed from a mixture of horse manure and soiled bedding collected from four equestrian centres in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia, where stables were bedded with hemlock, spruce, and fir wood shavings. Composting was accomplished by turning the windrows twice a week during the first four weeks and once a week for eight additional weeks. At the end of 12- week composting period, windrows were combined and allowed to cure for three months. The cured compost was tested for the ability to promote cucumber (cv Enigma) seedling growth, supply micronutrients, and suppress mycelial growth of plant pathogen Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. radicis cucumerinum (FORC). The heights and dry weights of cucumber seedlings grown in 20% compost in sawdust were significantly greater than those grown in sawdust alone. When fed with nutrient solutions lacking micronutrients, seedling grown in 20% compost gave significantly greater height, dry weight, and chlorophyll concentrations compared to seedlings grown in sawdust alone. The analysis of extractable micronutrients indicated that manganese, followed by zinc and boron, were the predominant micronutrients in horse manure compost. Both iron and molybdenum concentrations were present in less than one ppm and copper was present just above one ppm. There was a significant correlation (r2 = 0.83) between in vivo chlorophyll measurements by SPAD-502 chlorophyll meter and the in vitro chlorophyll measurement by spectrophotometer. Thus in vivo measurements of SPAD-502 chlorophyll meter can be used to assess nutrient availability from compost to cucumber seedlings. Horse manure compost also contained bacteria that suppressed mycelial growth of FORC.  相似文献

Bulking agents and bedding materials used on farms for composting manures affect the time required for composts to mature. The effects of these materials on guidelines for the use of composted manures in potting mixes are not fully known. Several chemical and biological compost characteristics were mentioned and a cucumber plant growth greenhouse bioassay was performed on samples removed from windrows during composting of: (i) dairy manure amended with wheat straw; (ii) dairy manure amended with sawdust (mostly Quercus spp.); and (iii) pig manure amended with sawdust and shredded wood (mostly Quercus spp.). Dry weights of cucumber seedlings grown in fertilized and unfertilized potting mixes amended with composts (30%, v/v) having stability values of <1 mg CO2-C g-1 dw d−1, did not differ significantly from those in a control peat mix. Only the most mature dairy manure-wheat straw compost samples consistently established sufficient N concentrations in cucumber shoots in unfertilized treatments. For the dairy manure-wheat straw compost, all possible subset regression analyses of compost characteristics versus cucumber plant dry weight revealed that any of several compost characteristics (electrical conductivity-EC, compost age, total N, organic C, C-to-N ratio, ash content, CO2 respirometry, Solvita CO2 index and the Solvita® Compost Maturity Index) predicted growth of cucumber in the unfertilized treatments, and thus maturity. In contrast, at least two characteristics of the dairy manure-sawdust compost were required to predict growth of cucumber in the unfertilized treatments. Effective combinations were EC with compost age and the Solvita® maturity index with total N. Even five compost characteristics did not satisfactorily predict growth of cucumber in the non-fertilized pig manure-wood compost. Nutrient analysis of cucumber shoots indicated N availability was the principal factor limiting growth in potting mixes amended with the dairy manure-sawdust compost, and even more so in the pig manure-wood compost even though the compost had been stabilized to a high degree (<1 mg CO2-C g−1 dw d−1). Maturity of the composted manures, which implies a positive initial plant growth response of plants grown without fertilization, could not be predicted by compost characteristics alone unless the bulking agent or bedding type used for the production of the composts was also considered.  相似文献

Chile's seedling production industry has been growing for the last 10 years, and demand has actually reached 1250 million seedlings per year. This system has special relevance due to the high cost of seeds. In addition, there is an increasing demand for substituting synthetic agrochemicals. Therefore, the potential use of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) in tomato production has been investigated. Before sowing, the micro-organisms provided by Biogram S.A. were inoculated into the substrate diluted in 250 mL/L unchlorinated water. The experiment was laid out in a ‘split-plot’ design with the two plant substrates as main plots and the inoculants as subplots, including six replicates per treatment. Tomato seedlings were grown using two different plant substrates: a mixture of 70% peat and 30% perlite by volume, and a substrate with 20% peat, 20% perlite and 60% compost by volume, both inoculated with Bacillus subtilis or Pseudomonas fluorescens or Bioroot®, which is a commercial product containing B. subtilis, P. fluorescens, Trichoderma harzianum, yeast, algae and Nocardia. For control, uninoculated tomato seedlings were grown on the respective plant substrates. Variance analysis did not identify significant interactions between substrate type (main plots) and inoculation treatment (subplots), P ≤ 0.05. There were significant differences between inoculants (P ≤ 0.05). Means were compared by using the Tukey's multiple range test. Tomato growth in terms of leaf area (cm2/plant) and shoot and root dry weight (g/10 plants) was improved for the seedlings grown on the substrate with 70% peat and 30% perlite, compared to the compost containing an alternative that is valid for both uninoculated perlite peat and all inoculated treatments where perlite peat was outstanding. Inoculation with Bioroot® improved the leaf area, shoot dry weight, root dry weight, radical contact area, volume of roots and root forks compared with the control without inoculation, when both plant substrates were analysed together. Thus, inoculation with Bioroot® can be recommended as an alternative to tomato seedling growers' dependence on synthetic agrochemicals.  相似文献

研究了醋糟与牛粪和菇渣不同体积配比(纯醋糟C,醋糟+菇渣CG,醋糟+牛粪CN和醋糟+菇渣+牛粪CGN)基质中氮素有效性及其与黄瓜生长发育的关系。结果表明:(1)纯醋糟基质全氮与有效氮含量较高,添加菇渣和牛粪后均有所下降。(2)随黄瓜的生长,纯醋糟基质全氮含量一直呈下降趋势,而添加菇渣和牛粪处理则表现为前期下降后期上升的变化过程。(3)不同醋糟配比基质有效氮均以硝态氮为主,随黄瓜的生长,除纯醋糟基质硝态氮含量表现为前期迅速、而中后期缓慢的下降趋势外,其它添加菇渣和牛粪处理均表现为不同幅度的先增高后降低的波浪式变化。基质全氮和硝态氮含量变化存在极显著的正相关关系。(4)从不同醋糟基质黄瓜的生长状况来看,以纯醋糟和醋糟添加牛粪的处理较好。  相似文献

The physical parameters of four different Elephant grass “Miscanthus ogiformis” ‘Giganteus’ composts and four of the most used types of peat products in Denmark, along with a wood fiber growing medium (Culti), were compared to determine possible physical differences, and to test whether compost could be used as an alternative substrate to peat. The Miscanthus straw was composted with three different N sources: ammonium sulfate, liquid pig manure and urea plus tap water (as a control). Compared to peats, the composts tested had low total bulk density, high air-filled porosity and a high diffusion coefficient of oxygen. None of the 9 products tested had the optimum levels of all the different physical parameters. Mixing the tested compost and peat will possibly increase the air-filled porosity of the substrates compared to pure peat, and brings the substrates physical parameters closer to the ideal recommended range. These compost media require further investigation before they can be used directly as an alternative to peat in greenhouse production.  相似文献

ABSTRACT. As vermicomposts promote germination, growth, and improved plant yield, they have been promoted as a viable alternative to peat as container media components for the horticultural industry. The aim of this article was to compare the effects of two vermicomposts of animal origin, VCD, and of vegetable origin, VGF, as well as a cotton gin compost (CC), on a commercial peat-based (P) substrate on the growth of tomato seedlings (Lycopersicum esculentum cv. Momotaro) under greenhouse conditions. The results showed that the VCD treatment had the highest values of tomato seedling height, stem diameter, number of leaves per seedling, and total dry matter, followed by VGF, CC, and P treatments. These results support previous studies showing that both vermicomposts and compost can be used with very good results as alternative growth media to peat-based substrates. Nevertheless, the greatest plant growth values were obtained when applying the VCD and VGF vermicomposts followed by CC and P, possibly due to the higher mineral element contents of VCD, followed by VGF, CC, and P, respectively.  相似文献

  【目的】   探究园林废弃物堆肥和牛粪有机肥替代进口泥炭用于金盏菊 (Calendula officinalis L.) 无土栽培的可行性。   【方法】   在添加10% 珍珠岩和10% 蛭石 (体积比) 不变的条件下,将园林废弃物堆肥和牛粪有机肥按照V园林废弃物堆肥∶V牛粪有机肥 = 4∶0 (T1)、3∶1 (T2)、2∶2 (T3)、1∶3 (T4) 和0∶4 (T5) 配制栽培基质,并以T0处理 (10% 珍珠岩 + 10% 蛭石 + 80% 进口泥炭) 作为对照,总计6种栽培基质,用于金盏菊无土栽培。在180 天的温室培育后,测定并分析金盏菊总鲜质量、根鲜质量、地上部分鲜质量、根长、花朵数、冠幅以及株高等指标,利用冗余 (RDA) 分析探究影响金盏菊各形态指标的主要因素,并根据植株形态指标综合评价体系来评估金盏菊生长状况,最终确定不同配比的栽培基质品质的优劣。   【结果】   T0处理与T1处理的金盏菊根系发育优于T2~T5处理;T1~T5处理的金盏菊地上部分生长情况均优于对照组T0处理,其中T5处理的金盏菊株高、冠幅生长效果最优,T2处理的金盏菊花朵数增多效果最优;T1~T5处理金盏菊生物量积累均高于对照组T0处理。通过RDA分析可知,金盏菊地上部分的生长、总鲜质量和地上部分鲜质量主要受栽培基质的速效磷、速效钾、全氮、pH、电导率 (EC值) 和容重影响;金盏菊地下部分生长情况主要受栽培基质的EC值、有机质、总孔隙度、通气孔隙和持水孔隙影响。通过综合评价可知,T1处理栽培基质条件下金盏菊综合评价指数最高 (0.72),金盏菊的综合生长状况最优。   【结论】   园林废弃物堆肥和牛粪有机肥替代进口泥炭进行金盏菊无土栽培可以有效提高金盏菊品质,降低我国花卉无土栽培对进口泥炭的依赖。其中,以10% 蛭石 + 10% 珍珠岩+80% 园林废弃物堆肥对金盏菊生长最为有利,既可利用廉价的有机固体废弃物,又可提高金盏菊的生产效益。   相似文献

以发酵菌糠为试验材料,研究了菌糠与草炭、蛭石、炉渣以不同比例(V/V)混合后基质的理化性质,并以复合基质进行了番茄育苗试验。结果表明,发酵菌糠的总孔隙度、持水孔隙度比草炭低11.8%、36.8%,通气孔隙度比草炭高41.9%,电导率比草炭高12.5倍。菌糠以30%~70%的比例与蛭石、草炭混合后,复合基质的理化性质与CK(草炭∶蛭石=7∶3)相近。在番茄育苗试验中,以T3(菌糠∶蛭石=7∶3)表现最好,T4(菌糠∶草炭∶蛭石=5∶2∶3)、T5(菌糠∶草炭∶蛭石=3∶4∶3)育苗效果均优于CK。  相似文献

Ammonium sulfate or urea were added as N-source to shredded straw of Miscanthus ogiformis ‘Giganteus’ and water was included as control. The combined materials were composted for seven months, and the resulting composts were tested as growth substrates for nursery container plants and compared with fertilized and unfertilized peat substrates. The pH was below recommended level for the compost substrate made with ammonium sulfate and for the unfertilized peat substrate throughout the experiment. Electrical conductivity and concentrations of most nutrients were low and decreased throughout the experiment for all growth substrates. Shrinking of the growth substrates after 4, 12 or 17 months was larger for compost substrates than for peat substrates. Bulk density increased in compost substrates and decreased in peat substrates, while the total loss of C was greater in compost substrates than in peat. Water retention was lower and air volume greater for compost substrate made with ammonium sulfate than for fertilized peat. Algae and mosses did not occur on Miscanthus compost growth substrates in contrast to peat substrates. The shoot length and dry matter of Hedera helix, produced after four and 12 months of growth, and five months following cut back, showed that plants can grow well in compost substrates made of Miscanthus straw and ammonium sulfate or urea. However, the compost substrates could not fully substitute for fertilized or unfertilized peat substrate with respect to dry matter production.  相似文献

The rising cost of peat and pine bark has boosted the demand for alternative organic materials for container growing media. Here, composts of invasive acacia (Acacia longifolia and Acacia melanoxylon) residues were evaluated as alternative organic materials for horticultural substrates. Compost bulk density was less than 0.4 g cm?3 and total pore space was more than 85 percent of the total volume, as established for an ideal substrate. The matured acacia compost air capacity, easily available water, buffering capacity, and total water-holding capacity were also within acceptable recommended values. With increased composting time the physical characteristics of the composts were improved, but the same was not true for chemical characteristics such as pH and electrical conductivity. The replacement of pine bark compost by acacia compost in a commercial substrate did not negatively affect either lettuce emergence or lettuce growth, suggesting that acacia compost can be successfully used as an alternative component for horticultural substrates.  相似文献

生物质炭的农业利用日益受到关注。针对草炭资源日益耗竭的问题,以药渣炭、木屑炭和猪粪炭为试验对象,配比一定量的醋糟,分析了不同配比生物质炭复合基质对辣椒幼苗生长的影响,探讨了生物质炭复合基质代替草炭基质的可能性。试验结果表明:生物质炭在与醋糟按4∶2、3∶3、2∶4等不同配比混合后,基质的pH大多数在6.0~7.5,基质的通气孔隙有所提高。综合整个幼苗生育期,含20%生物质炭的各复合基质处理的辣椒幼苗株高、茎粗、叶面积、地上部生物量均显著优于对照草炭基质;含20%、40%药渣炭的基质处理的幼苗根表面积、根体积表现较好,在前期与草炭基质无显著差异,后期显著高于草炭基质。药渣炭和木屑炭与醋糟混配基质的壮苗指数优于草炭处理,其中B1A2(药渣炭∶醋糟∶蛭石∶珍珠岩=4∶2∶3∶1)、B1A4(药渣炭∶醋糟∶蛭石∶珍珠岩=2∶4∶3∶1)、B2A4(木屑炭∶醋糟∶蛭石∶珍珠岩=2∶4∶3∶1)处理的壮苗指数均显著高于其他处理。综合评价各生长指标,B1A2和B1A4处理基质的表现最好,可代替草炭基质在辣椒育苗上应用。  相似文献

Three crops, tomato (1 trial), chrysanthemum (2 trials) and verbena (2 trials) were grown in a number of substrates including peat, peat + pumice, bark, peat + sawdust + sand and JIP. The number of N application rates varied from 7 in the tomato trial to 20, 22 or 25 in the chrysanthemum and verbena trials. The relationship between soil test value and N uptake was quadratic rather than linear, and was very good, especially for the chrysanthemum and verbena trials (R2 nearly always greater than 0.9). The relationship varied among the substrates depending on whether N was retained (e.g. bark) resulting in overestimation of N uptake, or on whether N was released (e.g. JIP) resulting in underestimation.  相似文献
