实蝇科昆虫种类繁多、危害巨大、入侵能力强,倍受植物检疫与入侵生物学领域的关注。转录组代表细胞或组织内全部的RNA转录本,反映特定状态下的基因表达模式。而依赖于高通量测序技术所衍生出的转录组测序给实蝇等非模式生物的研究带来了机遇。本文在检索实蝇科昆虫转录组序列数据和文献报道的基础上,针对实蝇科昆虫转录组的测序现状和初步应用进行了分析和总结,涉及重要经济实蝇的种类鉴定、基础生理、滞育、配子形成和交配生殖、解毒机制及防治和非编码RNA共6个方面。同时,提出了加强重要经济实蝇转录组研究的3个展望:一是加强结构基因组学和功能基因组学方面的多组学结合研究;二是开展microRNA(miRNA)等非编码RNA功能方面的探索研究;三是探索第三代测序技术的应用研究。  相似文献

An attempt has been made to link the results of laboratory toxicological studies on tsetse flies to the specification of application requirements for control or eradication of tsetse flies in the field. Relevant parameters have been identified and a consideration of their physical interactions has provided the basis for predicting the effect of changes in the operational variables on the efficiency of kill. With increasing worldwide pressure on bee pollinator populations and an increase in insecticide resistance amongst pest insects, there is a growing need for diversification of pollinator and pest control systems. Syrphid flies (Diptera: Syrphidae) contribute ecosystem services to agroecosystems through their supporting roles as crop pollinators and predators of pests. Adult syrphids are important pollinators with high floral visitation rates and pollen carrying capacity, while predatory syrphid larvae are natural biological control agents, reducing aphid populations in both field and laboratory conditions. The present challenge is to determine whether syrphid flies have the potential for application as pollinators and in integrated pest management schemes as biological control agents. Currently, there are gaps in research that are hindering the use of syrphids as dual service providers. Such gaps include a lack of knowledge of syrphid floral preferences, the role and viability of adult syrphids as pollinators in natural and agro‐ecological pollinator networks, and the predatory efficiency of larvae in field and glasshouse conditions. By reviewing relevant literature, we demonstrate syrphid flies have the potential to be used as pollinators and biological control agents. © 2020 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

The sand fly Phlebotomus papatasi Scopoli, 1786, the vector of Leishmania major Yakimoff et Schokhor, 1914, is found in desert areas where sugars are scarce but also in habitats that abound in sugar sources. The sand flies require sugar meals from plant sources for their energy requirements and to hydrolyze these complex sugars, they need a repertoire of glycosidases. We presumed that there are differences in the levels of glycosidase activities in flies from such habitats and also assumed that they may be instrumental in modulating the flies' susceptibility to L. major infections. Phlebotomus papatasi originating from diverse ecological habitats ranging from an oasis to desert sites were colonized. They were analyzed for weight changes and glycosidase activities before and after feeding on 1M sucrose solution. Oasis flies were smaller than desert flies but took larger sugar meals. Homogenates of these flies hydrolyzed 16 synthetic and 2 natural glycoside substrates to varying degrees. The arid-region flies tended to produce more glycosidase activity than those originating in sugar-rich environments, especially sucrase, alpha- and beta-glucosidase, aalpha-fucosidase, alpha-mannosidase, and alpha- and beta-N-acetylgalactosaminidase. However, chitinolytic enzyme activities and particularly the beta-N-acetylhexosaminidase activity of oasis flies were higher than other flies tested. In comparing the desert flies, there were also significant differences in glycolytic enzyme activities between the spring-line (flowering season) of flies and the autumn-line (end of dry season) flies. A range of saccharide inhibitors was tested to demonstrate the specificity of the enzymes.  相似文献

Permethrin is not a repellent against horn flies Haematobia irritans (L.). The flies were able to land but not rest or feed on cattle treated with a spray or a pour-on application of permethrin, because the insecticide had a quick toxic effect. During the 15 days after treatment, all of the 813 flies exposed to the steer treated with the spray, died without taking a blood meal. During the same period, all but two of the 1426 horn flies died when exposed to the steer treated with the pour-on application, and only one of the living and seven of the dead horn flies had taken a blood meal.  相似文献

Metarhizium guizhouense PSUM02 treated males of Bactrocera latifrons were investigated for the mating competition among males and mating choice by female flies to develop an auto-dissemination for the control of B. latifrons. In the present study, on day 1–4 of experiment, M. guizhouense–treated male flies were equally competitive with the normal male flies as we did not observe any differences in mating by treated and normal male flies of B. latifrons. Further, mating competitiveness were found low in treated adult male B. latifrons than normal male B. latifrons from 5th days of treatment until death. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis of treated male flies gave average survival times (AST) of 4.3?±?0.1 days, while the healthy female and male flies in the same cage showed AST of 9.3?±?0.3 and 8.3?±?0.4 days, respectively. The AST of untreated flies in control experiment ranged from 14.2–14.5 days. In mating preference experiment, M. guizhouense–treated male flies were chosen by virgin female than gravid female flies for mating. The treated male flies caused mortality in both virgin and gravid female flies in the same cage with AST of 4.4?±?0.1, 5.6?±?0.1 and 7.4?±?0.2 days, respectively, while untreated flies showed AST ranged from 13.9–14.3 days in control. The treated male flies could transmit the fungus infection to both untreated female and male flies as well as in virgin and gravid female flies by mating and contact. Our experiments showed the potentiality of M. guizhouense PSUM02 in management of B. latifrons by auto-dissemination with treated male flies, which transmit the fungus to a healthy population to reduce insect pest infestations.  相似文献

The effect of host age and sex on the susceptibility of 3 tephritid fruit fly species, Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann), C. cosyra (Walker) and C. fasciventris (Bezzi) to the entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae (Metchnikoff) Sorokin was studied in the laboratory. Three adult host ages, 0 (<1 day-old), 7-day-old and 14-day-old, were used. All 3 species were susceptible to fungal infection, although there were differences in the levels of susceptibility among the hosts. Age accounted for the largest variability in mortality followed by species, while sex had the lowest variability. Of the 3 host ages tested, the 0- and 7-day-old flies were more susceptible to fungal infection than the 14-day-old flies. Male and female C. fasciventris flies generally succumbed earlier to fungal infection than the other two species. Female flies of C. cosyra and C. fasciventris were also generally more susceptible to fungal infection than the males, although differences were apparent at 3 and 4 days after treatment but not 5 days after treatment. Age accounted for the largest variability in lethal time mortality values (LTs). Mean LT-values generally indicated that the speed of kill was faster among younger flies than the older flies. LT95 ranged between 3.9–4.9 days in the 0-day-old flies, 4.3–6.1 days in the 7-day-old flies and 4.6–6.1 days in 14-day-old flies in the different species and sexes. The implication of this study for the management of fruit flies is discussed.  相似文献

This is a review of current post-harvest entomology research conducted by the Agricultural Research Service, the research branch of the US Department of Agriculture. The review covers both durable and perishable commodities. Research on biochemistry, genetics, physiology, monitoring and control of insects infesting stored grain, dried fruits and nuts, and processed commodities is reviewed. Research on development of quarantine treatments, particularly for fruit flies, is also reviewed, including research on thermal and irradiation treatments and a discussion of risk management for quarantine pests. Two areas of research are covered more extensively: a project to map the genome of the red flour beetle, Tribolium castaneum, and the use of near-infrared spectroscopy for detection of hidden infestations in grain, quantification of insect fragments in food, determination of quality in dried fruits, identification of insect species and age-grading insects. 作者就辛硫磷对氰戊菊酯在抗拟除虫菊酯类杀虫剂的家蝇体内的增效作用进行了初步的研究。结果表明:在辛硫磷与氰戊菊酯同时存在时(质量比为2:1),家蝇体内未被降解的氰戊菊酯原化合物含量显著高于只使用等剂量氰戊菊酯时的对照处理(2.6-4.6倍)。同时,家蝇对氰戊菊酯的氧化代射速率降低(17-48%)。这些结果可能是辛硫磷对氰戊菊酯增效的主要作用机制,并对延缓害虫抗药性发展有积极的作用。  相似文献

Homogenates of larvae, pupae, and adults of house flies (Musca domestica L.), flesh flies (Sarcophaga bullata Parker), and blow flies (Phormia regina (Meigen)) have been examined for enzymes which convert α- and β-ecdysone to apolar products. Most of the activity was found in the soluble fraction from house flies and flesh flies but none of the blow fly fractions was active. Two enzymes seem to be involved in the ecdysone metabolism, one requiring NADPH and the other functioning without this cofactor. The product of the latter enzyme is thought to be the 3-dehydro-ecdysone. This product is further converted to the 3α-hydroxy isomer of ecdysone by the NADPH-requiring enzyme. On feeding the insect growth regulator TH-6040 (1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-(2,6-difluorobenzoyl)-urea) to larvae at dietary levels ranging from 0.3 to 10 ppm, the activity of the enzyme producing the 3-dehydro product is reduced by 20 to 82%. It is suggested that the growth regulator exerts its effect on pupal-adult ecdysis through its inhibition of ecdysone metabolism.  相似文献

实蝇科昆虫很多种类是世界性的重要检疫性有害生物。实蝇的快速准确识别对于保护国门生物安全、促进我国农产品出口具有重要意义。本研究建立了一种基于深度学习的实蝇图像智能识别方法,针对实蝇科昆虫的翅图像特征,以桔小实蝇、南瓜实蝇、瓜实蝇、具条实蝇4种实蝇(每种250头共1 000头)为例,通过标本制作与图像采集、图像预处理、创建数据集训练物体检测模型等模块不断调整优化实现对实蝇图像的自动识别。结果表明在图像色阶参数90/1/220,通过百度Easy DL平台Paddle Paddle深度学习框架结合Auto Model Search训练图像分类模型,选择超高精度算法、高级训练配置epoch并使用数据增强策略进行模型训练时识别准确率达95%以上。本方法具有操作简单、准确率高、可扩展性强等特性,通过智能手机拍摄待测样本输入系统即可进行准确识别,可应用于果蔬园实蝇监测、出入境口岸实蝇检疫以及昆虫科普教育等场景,并可为其他昆虫自动识别研究提供有益借鉴。  相似文献

Three criteria, latency to convulsions, still period, and recovery are used to distinguish between carbamate and phosphate insecticide poisoning in house flies, Musca domestica. Because of shorter latencies with carbamate-treated flies, the central nervous system was considered more sensitive to the presence of carbamates than phosphates. Recovery from carbamate-induced tetany was considered correlated with reactivation of carbamylated cholinesterase. There appeared to be a fundamental difference between the insecticidal actions of carbamates and phosphates not wholly explainable by cholinesterase inhibition. Tethered or held house flies were less susceptible to poisoning than unrestrained flies.  相似文献
