Since weeds serve as hosts for nematode pests, the host status of 20 weed species (commonly occurring in fields of developing farmers) to Meloidogyne incognita and M. javanica, respectively, were investigated. Greenhouse studies showed that seven weed species had Rf values >1 for both nematode species indicating susceptibility, while 13 had Rf values ≤ 1 indicating resistance. Greenhouse results showed that Hibiscus trionum and Amaranthus tricolor were identified as the most susceptible and Chenopodium carinatum and Datura ferox the poorest hosts for M. incognita and M. javanica. For field experiments at Kuruman, Solanum retroflexum was the most susceptible weed to a M. javanica population, while the same was evident for H. trionum at Nelspruit, where a mixed population of M. incognita and M. javanica occurred and at Potchefstroom, where a population of M. incognita was present. Results from this study indicated that certain weed species are highly susceptible to root-knot nematodes and should be removed timely and effectively to prevent population level increases of root-knot nematode pests in the fields of farmers.  相似文献

In 1986, samples from 109 winter wheat crops in England and Wales were examined for benomyl resistance in Fusarium species. Of the 704 isolates obtained, 581 were identified as Fusarium nivale, of which 92.1 % were resistant to benomyl. Of the remaining isolates, 82 were identified as F. avenaceum, 40 as F. culmorum and one as F. poae; none of these isolates were resistant to benomyl. The vast majority of isolates of Fusarium spp. were obtained from superficial nodal or internodal lesions on the stems.  相似文献

Pear explants ( Pyrus communis cv. Pine) infected with mycoplasma-like organisms (MLOs) were maintained for more than 3 years by micropropagation on Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with gibberellic acid, indole butyric acid and benzyl amino purine. MLOs reached consistently higher concentrations in micropropagated explants than in samples from field-grown plants, although explants remained free from symptoms. MLOs could be eliminated by incorporation of 100/μg/ml oxytetracycline into the growth medium for a period of 4 weeks. These results have implications for plant propagation schemes of symptomless MLO-infected explants raised by micropropagation.  相似文献

目的:研究外来入侵种北美车前种群内遗传多样性水平,以期揭示其较强环境适应性在分子水平的根源。方法:用60条10碱基随机引物对生长于浙江师范大学校园内北美车前的9个不同样本进行了PCR扩增,筛选出7条有较高多态性检测能力的引物,用这7条随机引物对北美车前的RAPD指纹图谱进行了研究。结果:(1)共扩增到82条带,每条引物扩增带数在6~17条,平均带数为11.71条,其中60条带具有遗传多态性,约占总数的73.17%。(2)浙师大校园种群内的北美车前不同样本之间DNA指纹存在着较明显的差异,这种差异主要是受到了相对空间位置和极端土壤环境条件的影响。结论:(1)北美车前在种群内有较高的遗传多样性;(2)北美车前对极端土壤环境有较强适应性。  相似文献

The effects of pesticides on beneficial predatory arthropods have been widely studied; this paper however deals with their effects on Heteroptera, an important beneficial insect group and food source for farmland birds. Field trials were used to evaluate pesticide effects under realistic conditions of application on a commercial arable farm and compared with previously published laboratory findings. Fungicides were found to produce very low levels of mortality, not significantly different from control treatments. Aphicides varied in their impact, producing non-significant to highly significant mortality levels. The likely ecological impact of pesticides on various heteropteran groups found within the field and field boundary is discussed. © 1997 SCI.  相似文献

Surveys for virus and virus-like diseases were carried out in commercial vineyards and nurseries in seven different Syrian provinces (Aleppo, Dara'a, As Suwayda, Al Qunaytirah, Homs, Hamah, Tartous). Samples were collected at random from 835 individual vines (735 Vitis vinifera and 100 rootstock accessions) for laboratory testing. Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV) , Arabis mosaic virus (ArMV), and Grapevine virus A (GVA) were the only viruses recovered by mechanical transmission to herbaceous hosts. Vein necrosis developed in c. 53% of graft-inoculated 110R indicators and vein mosaic in V. riparia inoculated with material from cv. Corna Alegra. A total of 71% of the ELISA-tested V. vinifera plants (522 out of 735) were infected by one (14.8%) or more (55.8%) viruses. GVA was the most widespread (54.7%), followed by Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 1 (GLRaV-1, 47.3%), Grapevine fleck virus (GFkV, 29.7%), and Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 3 (GLRaV-3, 23.9%). Other economically relevant viruses were scarcer, i.e. Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 2 (GLRaV-2, 9%), GFLV (0.8%) and ArMV (0.1%). The most important Syrian grapevine varieties, i.e. Hellwany, Salty, Balady, and Zeiny, had average infection rates that ranged between 44% and 91%. The highest incidence of infections was observed at Damascus (90%), whereas it ranged between 68% and 79% in the other provinces, except for Hama (36%). Rootstocks were in much better sanitary condition (25% infection). GFkV (22%) was the most common virus, whilst the presence of GLRaV-3 (3%), GLRaV-1, and GFLV (1%) was negligible. Grapevine rupestris stem pitting associated virus (GRSPaV) was detected in 72.3% of the samples by RT-PCR. A high percentage of the GRSPaV-positive vines (80%) induced vein necrosis reactions in 110R, thus confirming the recently established correlation between this virus and vein necrosis.  相似文献

Grapevines were surveyed for the presence of virus and virus-like diseases in the Albanian viticultural districts of Shkoder, Lesh, Kruje, Durres, Tirana, Elbasan, Lushnje and Vlora. Symptoms of grapevine degeneration, leafroll and rugose wood were observed in all areas surveyed, whereas fleck was found in volunteer plants of Vitis rupestris at Elbasan, and enation disease in a few vines near Durres. Viruses identified were grapevine fanleaf nepovirus, grapevine fleck virus, grapevine virus A, and grapevine leafroll-associated closteroviruses I and III. ELISA tests showed that 83.5% of 530 Vitis vinifera vines and 46% of 24 American rootstocks individually checked were infected by one or more viruses. The presence of Xiphinema index , the major vector of grapevine fanleaf nepovirus, was recorded from vineyards affected by yellow mosaic.  相似文献

Grapevines of the Maltese islands were surveyed for the presence of virus diseases. Symptoms of fanleaf degeneration, leafroll, rugose wood and fleck were observed in the main grape-growing areas. The occurrence of these diseases was experimentally confirmed by graft transmission to woody indicators, which also revealed the presence of vein necrosis, a latent virus-like disorder. Viruses identified were grapevine fanleaf nepovirus, grapevine fleck virus, grapevine A closterovirus, grapevine leafroll-associated closteroviruses I and III. ELISA tests showed that 86% of 322 vines individually checked were infected by one or more viruses.  相似文献

Surveys were carried out in the main stone-fruit growing areas of Albania to assess the phytosanitary status of Prunus in conimercial orchards and varietal collections. The presence of virus and virus-like diseases and their identification was ascertained through field observations, sap transmission to herbaceous hosts, graft transmission to woody indicators, ELISA and IEM tests. The mean infection level was 42%. In particular, infections in apricot and almond were 12 and 16%, respectively, i.e. lower than in plum and cherry (47 and 56%, respectively). The following viruses were identified: plum pox potyvirus (PPV). apple chlorotic leaf spot trichovirus (ACLSV). prunus necrotic ringspot (PNRSV) and prune dwarf (PDV) ilarviruses. PPV infection was very severe in plum, and limited in apricot and peach. Apple mosaic ilarvirus (ApMV), and six nepoviruses tested for (SLRV, TBRV, RRV, CLRV, ArMV and ToRSV) were not encountered in Primus.  相似文献

In a two-year survey (2011–2012), 3220 samples were collected and analyzed in order to determine the presence and distribution of viruses in tomato crops at 56 localities of 18 districts in Serbia. Out of 12 viruses tested, Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), Potato virus Y (PVY), Alfalfa mosaic virus (AMV), Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV), Tomato mosaic virus (ToMV) and Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) were detected in 42.1, 40, 11, 8.6, 2.3 and 1.3% of the total tested samples, respectively. The results revealed that CMV was prevalent in 2011 and PVY in 2012. CMV and PVY, apart from being predominant, were also the most widespread viruses. In general, single infections were the most frequent type of infection. Additionally, the most common mixed infections were double infections and the most prevalent combination was CMV and PVY. In 2011, the incidence of diseases and the percentage of all infection types were significantly higher than in 2012. Furthermore, in 2011, regardless of total single infections being prevalent compared to mixed infections, two prevailing viruses were commonly detected in mixed infections. The additional molecular testing of ELISA-negative samples using virus specific primers did not reveal the presence of Pepino mosaic virus (PepMV), Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLC), Tomato infections chlorosis virus (TICV) and Tomato chlorosis virus (ToCV).  相似文献

Field surveys were carried out in the main vegetable-growing areas of Western and Central Albania to evaluate the sanitary status of open-field and protected cultivations of capsicum, tomato, potato, watermelon, cucumber, courgette, aubergine, lettuce, cabbage, chicory, leek and celery. The following viruses were detected: Alfalfa mosaic alfamovirus (AMV), Cucumber mosaic cucumovirus (CMV), Potato Y potyvirus (PVY), Tomato spotted wilt tospovirus (TSWV) and Watermelon mosaic potyvirus 2 (WMV-2). The virus found most frequently was CMV and all the isolates identified were of subgroup IA. AMV was also detected in several areas and all isolates were of subgroup II, suggesting a French origin. Finally, at the time of this survey, TSWV infections appeared to be moderately relevant and absent in protected crops. This is the first documented record of AMV, CMV, PVY, TSWV and WMV-2 in Albania. No infection by Tomato yellow leaf curl begomovirus (TYLCV) or Zucchini yellow mosaic potyvirus (ZYMV) was detected during this survey.  相似文献
