The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of tree coppicing on tree-crop competition in farmed parkland and in alley farming, both in semiarid Burkina Faso.Azadirachta indica A. Juss (neem) was studied in the parklands, while neem,Albizia lebbeck (L.) Benth. (albizia) andLeucaena leucocephala (Lam.) de Wit (leucaena) were investigated in the alley farming system. The crop was sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) in both cases.Under non-coppiced neem trees in the parkland, the sorghum yield at 0–3 m distance from the tree (under the tree canopy) was 82% of open field yields at 6–9 m distance, but the difference was not significant (p=0.07). Close to trees (0–3 m distance) which had been coppiced before planting, the sorghum yield was 148% of open field yields. In alley farming, early coppicing was superior; sorghum yields were highest close to trees coppiced early and lowest close to trees coppiced late.
Résumé La présente étude se propose d'évaluer les effets de la taille sur la concurrence entre arbres et cultures dans les parcs arborés et dans les cultures en couloir, en climat semiaride (Burkina Faso). Les espèces étudiées ont été:Azadirachta indica A. Juss (neem) dans les parcs et neem,Albizia lebbeck (L.) Benth. (albizia) ainsi queLeucaena leucocephala (Lam.) de Wit (leucaena) dans les cultures en couloir. Dans les deux cas la plante cultivée concerné a été le sorgho blanc (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench).Sous les neems non taillés des parcs, le rendement du sorgho cultivé de 0 à 3 m de l'arbre (sous le bouppier de l'arbre) a atteint 82% du rendement obtenu en plein champ, soit à une distance de 6 à 9 m de l'arbre (différence non significative,p=0.07). Une taille effectuée en début de campagne a entraîné un accroissement du rendement de 148% pour les cultures situées de 0 à 3 m de l'arbre, par rapport aux rendements en plein champ.Dans les cultures en couloir, on a constaté qu'une taille precoce est préférable, c'est à dire que les rendements de sorgho ont été supérieurs dans les lignes proches des arbres taillés tôt que dans celles proches des arbres taillés tard.

Persistence of neem-based products against sweetpotato whitefly Bemisia tabaci Gennadius (Homoptera: Aleyrodidae) was tested in air conditioned rearing rooms and tropical netted greenhouses (GHs). Two commercial neem products, NeemAzal®-T/S (1% azadirachtin) and NeemAzal®-U (17% azadirachtin), were used. Foliar application, under room conditions at dose-rates of 7 and 10 ml NeemAzal®-T/S, induced an immature mortality of 32 and 44%, respectively, whereas 7 days post-application, under GH conditions, mortality rates declined to 5 and 7%, respectively. This result indicated rapid dissipation of the active ingredients. However, systemic application by soil drenching resulted in more stable effects under both laboratory and GH conditions. After soil drenching with solutions of 3.0 g NeemAzal®-U until 7-day, immature mortality declined from 88% for the first day to almost half (45%) by day-7 in the GH, and from 90% on first day to 64% by day-7 under laboratory condition. Similar response trends for B. tabaci were obtained for other parameters such as adult colonisation, egg deposition, and egg hatch. The loss of efficiency of the neem products was clearly related to dose-rate, methods of application, and environment (temperature and UV). Soil application is therefore, a convenient approach to achieve high efficiency and persistence with neem products under the conditions in tropical GH environments for whitefly management.  相似文献

The objective of our study was to test the comparative efficiency of neem (Azadirachta indica) kernel oil, groundnut oil and a synthetic insecticide, K-Othrine®, in protecting stocks of leguminous tree seeds against seed beetles under Sahelian conditions. The following insect/seed combinations were used as models: Caryedon acaciae/Acacia nilotica, C. longispinosus/A. raddiana and C. serratus/Tamarindus indica. Neem oil, when used at concentrations of 5 to 20 ml per kg of seeds, had pronounced adulticidal and ovicidal effects which were maintained for five months. No significant fall in seed viability was observed except in the case of C. acaciae/A. nilotica. Groundnut oil, when used at concentrations of 5 to 20 ml per kg of seeds, had pronounced adulticidal and ovicidal effects which were relatively short-lived. A significant fall in seed viability was observed over five months. K-Othrine®, when used at concentrations ranging from 25 to 100 mg per kg, had high adulticidal effects which were maintained for five months. However, K-Othrine® was found to have no ovicide properties. No significant fall in seed viability was observed. This study concluded that it is possible to use neem oil, a product that can be obtained locally at low cost, to efficiently protect tree seed stocks in the Sahel.This revised version was published online in November 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Adventitious rooting in shoot cuttings of neem (Azadirachta indica) and karanj (Pongamia pinnata) was investigated in different seasons. The influence of auxins and B-vitamins (neem only) was evaluated. Maximum rhizogenesis coincided with the emergence of new sprouts i.e. February (neem) and March (karanj). Considering both rooting percentage and root biomass, IBA was the most effective auxin tested. Compared to auxin free controls, IBA (1000 ppm in neem and 800 ppm in karanj) significantly increased adventitious rooting percentage (80 to 100 % respectively), the numbers of roots and root biomass for both species. In neem, B-vitamin treatment yielded 40–50% rooting for cuttings. This was significantly greater than rooting for controls but equivalent to IAA treatments. In neem, some of the cuttings treated with 2000–3000 ppm IBA had well developed root systems without any sprouts. In karanj, all auxin treatments promoted sprouting. The level of total soluble sugars in the rooting zone of neem and karanj was higher in non-rooted than rooted cuttings.  相似文献

Termite feeding behavior and the chemoreception of plant extracts were evaluated to investigate the water extracts from akamatsu (Pinus densiflora), neem (Azadirachta indica), and their equivalent mixture using pseudoergates of Zootermopsis nevadensis. In behavioral assays, termite preference was akamatsu > akamatsu plus neem > neem. Electrophysiological recordings from the taste hairs on labial palps showed vigorous impulse discharge to akamatsu extract but much lower response to neem extract. The response to akamatsu plus neem was mostly the same as that to neem alone, suggesting the neem extracts inhibited the responses to akamatsu extracts. In the present article, we discuss the correlations between the feeding behaviors and the responses at their taste cells to these different extracts.  相似文献

The Colorado potato beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata Say.) (CPB) is the main potato pest in Croatia. The main problems in CPB control are related to a number of treatments and resistance development. In order to investigate the efficacy of combinations a reduced dose of spinosad (33% of the full doses) with the reduced doses (33% of full doses) of B.t.t., neem and pyrethrin against CPB larvae, 3-year field trials and one laboratory trial were conducted. Joint actions of the insecticides in combinations were analyzed. The CPB attack on experimental fields in all 3 years of investigation was high to moderate. In 2001 the maximum number of larvae on untreated plots was 11.7 larvae per plant, while in 2002 and 2003 it was lower, 5.5 and 6.1 larvae/plant, respectively. The efficacy obtained with a full dose of B.t.t. reached 75% in the field, and 78% in the laboratory trial. The residual efficacy of a full dose of B.t.t. lasted 7–10 days. The application of both, full and reduced doses of B.t.t., did not result in a significant yield increase. The results indicate that only one treatment with B.t.t. insecticide alone is not enough for efficient protection of potato against the attack of CPB larvae. The application of neem resulted in an efficacy of between 54 and 87.9%. The residual activity of neem was too short to ensure significant yield increase in 2 out of 3 years of the investigation. The application of a full dose of pyrethrin ensured an efficacy of between 86 and 89% with residual activity of 7–10 days. Only in the trial in 2003 significant yield increase (40% higher than untreated control) after the application of a full dose of pyrethin was recorded. The application of both, full and reduced doses of spinosad resulted in very high efficacy (over 90%), with residual activity between 10 and 20 days. The application of spinosad resulted in a significant yield increase in 2003, both in full and reduced doses, and in 2001 in the full dose (the reduced dose was not tested alone in 2001). High efficacy of the reduced dose of spinosad indicated its high biological activity and possibility for the reduction of the recommended dose. However, applications of combinations of insecticides in reduced doses (spinosad with B.t.t., neem and pyrethrin) resulted in efficacies of over 97% with residual activity of up to 21 days. Significant yield increase was noted after the application of the combinations of spinosad with B.t.t. and pyrethrin. The results of the laboratory trial confirmed the results of field trials. The joint action of insecticides was mainly described as independent synergism. It can be concluded that applied combinations are suitable in IPM in potato.  相似文献

以种植在元谋不同年龄的印楝林为研究对象,对林内的植物群落种类组成进行区系分析,结果表明群落内的植物种类以泛热带分布和全世界分布为主。用Gleason丰富度指数、Simpson和Shannon Weiner多样性指数、Pielou均匀度指数对调查样地多样性进行分析,获得如下结果:(1)生物多样性指数随印楝林盖度的提高而逐渐下降,说明盖度是影响林下植物多样性的主要因子;(2)印楝林对林下植物多样性影响主要通过林荫,印楝盖度<40%时对林下植物多样性影响不明显,而当盖度>40%时,影响明显;(3)印楝林下植物生长好于对照,印楝枯枝落叶对林下植物生长没有抑制作用。  相似文献

[目的]建立一套适合印楝药用优树无性系测定的分析评价方法,并进行农药型印楝优株评价。[方法]以印楝药用优树和平均木无性系为试验材料,通过不完全谱系设计建立无性系品比试验,采用重复力估算法在表型水平上对无性系当代种子农药品质性状进行遗传变异分析,提出"农药型印楝"的概念和标准,根据该标准进行农药型印楝优株评价。[结果]无性系种子印楝素组分含量随优树种子印楝素组分含量的变化而变化,但在无性系内和无性系间都存在不同程度变异:同一无性系各分株间的印楝素B变异(5.26%37.55%)较印楝素A变异(6.06%15.80%)和印楝素AB变异(2.95%16.14%)大,印楝素B和印楝素AB几乎呈退化和/或趋中遗传倾向,而印楝素A则既有退化和/或趋中遗传倾向又有超母遗传倾向;无性系间种子印楝素组分含量性状具有异质性(P0.01)。无性系印楝素A重复力(0.78)、印楝素B重复力(0.81)和印楝素AB重复力(0.83)均较高,表明无性系间印楝素组分含量的差异主要是由遗传效应和一般环境效应造成的,受特殊环境效应影响较小。按农药型印楝标准,评定LD0505、WW0401、AT0515三个无性系为"农药型印楝品种",LD0505和WW0421是"农药型印楝亲本"。[结论]重复力估算法适用于印楝药用优树无性系测定的分析评价,优树种子农药品质性状的遗传传递力强,无性系能保持优树农药品质的优良特性;评定LD0505、WW0401、AT0515为农药型印楝品种,LD0505和WW0421还可作为农药型印楝亲本,其余优树无性系不宜选择。  相似文献

使用一定浓度的印楝提取物 (NeemEC)处理的构树枝条作为天牛的食物 ,研究了其对桑天牛产卵量及卵孵化率的影响。在室温下 ,将成对的天牛放在盖有铁砂网的直径 2 5cm高的塑料桶中进行实验。用含印楝素 50× 1 0 -6g/mL的印楝提取物处理枝条 ,处理组天牛 ( 7对 )在 1 5d试验中 ,其每天对平均产卵量为2 0 0± 1 56个 ,而对照组每天平均产卵量为 1 0 33± 3 33个。经T—检验处理组与对照组之间差异显著。用含印楝素 1 0 0× 1 0 -6g/mL的印楝提取物处理枝条 ,在 1 5d试验中 ,处理组 7对天牛从第 5d开始死亡 ,至第 8d全部死亡 ,按实际成活天数计算 ,其每天每对平均产卵量为 1 0 0± 1 4 1个 ,而对照每天每对平均产卵量为 1 3 73± 2 90个。经T—检验两者之间差异显著。取食含印楝素 50× 1 0 -6g/mL的印楝提取物处理枝条后天牛产的卵需经 1 9d达到其最终孵化率 ,33 33% ;而对照组 9d达到最终孵化率 98 96%。在进行了 2 4d的选择取食试验中含印楝素 1 0 0× 1 0 -6g/mL的印楝提取物处理枝条 ,1 0对对照组天牛每天每对平均取食量为 3 53± 0 38g,而处理组天牛每天每对平均取食量 3 4 2± 0 60 g。经T—检验两者差异不显著。这说明桑天牛不能分辩含印楝提取物的食物 ,即印楝提取物对桑天牛不具拒食性。  相似文献

A comparative quantitative analysis of the active triterpenoids in Centella asiatica samples collected in different locations in Madagascar was carried out to evaluate the natural variability in triterpenoid content and to select elite samples for further ex situ germplasm conservation and clonal propagation. The highest asiaticoside content (6.42%) was measured in samples collected in Mangoro region. In vitro propagation of C. asiatica was successfully achieved in hormone-free medium. Although lower asiaticoside content was detected in 8-week-old vitro plants, the Mangoro sample still showed the highest content in this triterpenoid constituent (1.78%). Acetoxycentellynol, a C(15)-polyacetylene, was found to be accumulated up to 18 times more in in vitro plants as compared to plant material collected in situ.  相似文献

用快速粉碎搅拌的方法从印楝种仁中萃取印楝素,分别研究了萃取时间、溶剂的选择及用量对印楝素萃取产率的影响。优化的工艺条件为:208g去油后的印楝种仁(相当于300g印楝种仁),以750ml甲醇做溶剂,在快速粉碎搅拌下萃取21min即可以达到最高萃取产率,与微波辅助法、超声波法、浸提法相比,具有提取率高、设备和操作简单、节约溶剂、快速等特点。  相似文献

A new technique was performed to simulate exposure of the host Pieris rapae larvae to both botanical treatment and the parasitoid Hyposoter eheninus in different sequences. It was found that: host larvae subjected to both parasitoid and 1?% neem treatment showed significant or insignificant reductions both in pupal formation as well as adult emergence percentages when treatment preceded or followed parasitism, respectively. Both neem treatments revealed significant prolongation in the development of unparasitized and parasitized larvae (on average 4 to 5 days delay), whereas chinaberry caused significant prolongation only among parasitized larvae (on average 2.7 days delay in egg-larval duration). Fate of parasitism among untreated hosts was found to be faster than among neem-treated ones. Parasitism percentages among 1 and 0.5?% neem-treated third instar host larvae held 7 days before parasitism reached 3 and 2 times that achieved among those reared on untreated diet for the same period, ­respectively. It was concluded that prolongation of the preferred target instars of the host, due to neem treatments, increased the chance for parasitism. Nevertheless, treatment with neem at the LC50 level exhibited a great reduction in parasitoid progeny. However, a lower concentration (LC25) could reasonably potentiate parasitism without drastic losses in parasitoid emergence.  相似文献

【目的】研究不同生境和收获时间对圆齿野鸦椿不同部位总三萜类化合物积累的影响情况,为其药用价值和科学栽培的研究奠定基础。【方法】选择3个低海拔地区的8年生圆齿野鸦椿,分别于2014年11月和2015年3月采集其叶片、枝条和果实,选择高海拔地区6年生的野鸦椿和圆齿野鸦椿,于2014年8月分别采其叶片和枝条,对其总三萜类化合物含量进行了测定和比较分析。【结果】1)8月采集的叶片中三萜类化合物的含量,野鸦椿高于圆齿野鸦椿,且其含量差异呈显著性水平;但是,8月采集的枝条中三萜类化合物含量,野鸦椿低于圆齿野鸦椿。2)圆齿野鸦椿不同部位的总三萜类化合物含量存在差异,且2个月份采集的含量高低顺序均为叶片>枝条>果皮>种子,均以叶片中的含量为最高,依次为9.06%(农大)、7.14%(清流)和6.85%(邵武)。3)11月采集的圆齿野鸦椿样品中的三萜类化合物含量高于3月所采样品中的含量,其叶片中的总三萜类化合物含量最多可提高172.91%。4)圆齿野鸦椿叶片、果皮和种子中的三萜类化合物含量与试验地的海拔高度、年降水量均表现出极显著的负相关关系,与年均气温存在极显著的正相关关系,其叶片中的三萜类化合物含量还与年均无霜期呈正相关关系,其枝条中的三萜类化合物含量与各地理和气象因素之间的相关性均不显著。【结论】圆齿野鸦椿的叶片采收期长于野鸦椿;低海拔、较少降水量和年均气温较高有利于圆齿野鸦椿植株对三萜类化合物的累积,这3个因子可以作为圆齿野鸦椿适宜栽培区域的划分指标;夏季采摘野鸦椿叶片,秋冬季采摘圆齿野鸦椿叶片,所采叶片的总三萜类化合物的含量均较高。  相似文献

The commercial available diatomaceous earth Fossil Shield® and the neem product Neem Azal-T/S® are tested as single treatments and in combination as controls for the stored product pests Sitophilus oryzae (L.) and Tribolium castaneum (Herbst). The diatomaceous earth, applied in concentrations of 0.5 g, 1 g and 2 g kg-1 rice, reduced numbers of surviving beetles significantly (over a period of 3 weeks). A single treatment with the neem product, in concentrations of 0.01 g, 0.1 g, 0.2 g and 1 g azadirachtin kg-1 rice, increased the mortality rate for both species significantly. The combination of neem and diatomaceous earth (1 g diatomaceous earth with 0.2 g or 1 g azadirachtin kg-1 rice) was more effective than the single treatment in reducing numbers of surviving beetles.  相似文献

利用ISSR分子标记技术对印楝进行遗传多样性分析,用9条引物进行扩增,共检测出81条清晰的位点,其中79条具有多态性,多态位点百分率为97.53%,Nei's基因多样性指数为0.3803,Shannon信息指数为0.5537,表明印楝遗传多样性很丰富。种源间遗传分化系数为0.4702,Shannon’s居群分化系数为0.4677,表明印楝种源内的遗传分化大于种源间的分化。聚类分析将13个种源分为2大类,来自缅甸的11个种源聚成一类,来自澳大利亚和印度的种源聚成另外一类。结果表明,ISSR分子标记技术适合于印楝的遗传多样性分析。  相似文献

A field trial was conducted in a mango (Mangifera indica L.) orchard located on Penang Island, Malaysia, to determine the efficacy of neem oil at 1, 2 and 3% concentrations and imidacloprid, a commonly used synthetic insecticide, on populations of thrips and their toxicities to mango pollinators. Daily periodicities of several pollinators that frequently visited mango panicles were studied prior to the insecticide trial to determine the appropriate time of insecticide application. Pollinators were collected at 2-h intervals for 2?months in the dry season and 1?month in the wet season of 2009. Mean numbers of all pollinators were greater in the morning (0800?h) and peaked in the late afternoon, but remained low during other times of the day. After two consecutive applications at 7-day interval, both neem oil and imidacloprid effectively reduced thrips populations compared to an untreated plot. Imidacloprid was the most effective insecticide reducing 68.7% thrips adult and 80.7% larval populations, respectively. However, it caused 92.5% mortality in pollinator populations. Neem oil at 2% was effective against adult thrips 96?h after the second application (59.8% reduction) and caused only 24.9% mortality of pollinators. Proper timing of neem oil application such as at midday when pollinators are least active would control thrips populations satisfactorily but less detrimental to mango pollinators. Future improvement of neem oil formulation should be aimed at improving its efficacy against thrips and further reducing toxicity to pollinators.  相似文献

Chiratone (1), a rare new chiratane type triterpenoid, together with five known triterpenoids were isolated from the rhizomes of Drynaria fortunei (Kunze) J. Sm. The structure was characterized as 20β-hydroxychiratan-22-one on the basis of extensive 1D and 2D NMR, and MS spectroscopic analyses, and was further confirmed by X-ray crystal diffraction. Primary bioassays showed that compound 1 had significant cytotoxic activity against Hela, PC3 and HepG2 cells, with IC50 of 2.92 μM, 1.08 μM and 2.45 μM, respectively.  相似文献
