Dispersal and growth were studied in Atlantic salmon, Salmo salar L., fry from a natural isolated redd. The distribution of fry leaving the redd was strongly peaked, 80% being caught within a 2-week period. Early in the dispersal period, all fry leaving the redd had remnants of yolk sac and had not fed; by half way through the dispersal period, no fry had any visible yolk, but 35% still had empty stomachs. Fry leaving the redd during the first half of the dispersal period tended to settle in different first feeding sites than those dispersing later. Predation on fry by larger salmonids was frequent, especially during dispersal. Coefficients of variation for length, weight and condition factor increased significantly over the study period and for individually recognised fry, growth rates varied markedly. Thus, individual salmon fry differ in physical status on emergence from the redd and these differences are amplified during the first few weeks after emergence.  相似文献

采用Bouin氏液固定、剥离卵膜的方法对黑龙江茴鱼(Thymallus arcticus grubei Dybowski)的胚胎发育及孵出后仔鱼卵黄囊的吸收情况进行了观察,同时测定65日龄内的仔、稚、幼鱼生长状况。结果显示:黑龙江茴鱼卵是典型的端黄卵,其卵裂方式为盘状卵裂。胚胎发育可分为22个期,包括受精卵、2细胞期、4细胞期、8细胞期、16细胞期、32细胞期、64细胞期、多细胞期、囊胚早期、囊胚中期、囊胚晚期、原肠早期、原肠中期、原肠晚期、神经胚期、胚孔封闭期、眼囊出现期、胸鳍芽出现期、晶体出现期、眼色素沉积期、循环期和出膜期,至发眼(晶体出现期)需75.84℃.d,至破膜需117℃.d;受精卵膜较鲑科鱼类薄而柔软,胚体头尾绕卵黄囊超过一周,晶体出现在眼色素沉积期之前;仔鱼卵黄囊的体积随着日龄的增加而逐渐减小,4日龄前吸收较快,此后吸收相对较慢;仔鱼在240℃.d(11日龄)左右时出现鳔并开始上浮,260℃.d(16日龄)左右时开口;积温达到346.9℃.d(20日龄)时卵黄囊完全被吸收,仔鱼期结束,进入稚鱼期;稚鱼在36日龄之前生长相对较缓慢,在36日龄后增长较快;在积温达到546.3℃.d(38日龄)时,稚鱼奇鳍褶开始退化,进入幼鱼期。  相似文献

通过透射电镜技术观察了中华绒螯蟹第二次卵巢发育过程中卵巢的超微结构变化。结果表明:(1)中华绒螯蟹第二次卵巢发育过程中卵黄发生期可分为初期和后期;(2)卵黄发生初期(雌蟹第一次排卵后的16 d内),卵黄生成以卵母细胞内源性合成为主,此时卵母细胞胞质中存在大量内质网囊泡、高尔基体和线粒体,这些细胞器参与胞内卵黄物质的合成。内源性合成后期,卵母细胞膜形态多样,呈现触手状、波浪状和断裂状,为外源合成期做准备。此期卵泡细胞还未向卵母细胞靠近,两类细胞间存在着由淋巴细胞吐出的絮状物;(3)卵黄发生后期,首先为卵泡细胞与卵母细胞的结合阶段(排卵后16~21 d),此后,卵泡细胞胞质中含有大量内质网囊泡、卵黄颗粒和脂滴,卵母细胞与卵泡细胞膜变为链珠状便于物质交换,卵母细胞的卵黄合成能力减少,转由卵泡细胞进行外源性物质吸收和卵黄物质合成(21~36 d);(4)卵黄发生结束后,双层卵膜形成,卵黄体和脂肪滴均匀分布在卵母细胞胞质中。  相似文献

To establish the changes which occur during embryogenesis and early larval development, eggs, yolk sac larvae and swim-up larvae of pike were examined for lipid class and fatty acid composition. At a water temperature of 15.5°C, the embryonic phase was short (6 days) and characterized by a 41.3% decline in the lipid content of eggs, accompanied by large reductions in the amount of phosphatidylcholine (41.4% decrease), sterol esters and triacylglycerols (respectively a 41.2% decrease and a 58.1% decrease), but not phosphatidylethanolamine which increased markedly (35.6%). By the time of yolk sac absorption (7 to 11 days after fertilization) the larvae remained inactive and a limited utilization of lipids was observed. Yolk sac phosphatidylcholine was selectively incorporated into larval bodies while the levels of other lipid classes remained unchanged in the yolk. When the swim bladder was filled and the swimming stage was reached (11 days to 13 days af), the yolk was completely depleted and yolk phosphatidylcholine together with yolk triacylglycerols were catabolised. Yolk phosphatidylethanolamine and yolk sterol esters were partly incorporated into the body lipids. In the subsequent swim-up larval stage (13 to 15 days af), a steady decrease in lipids was observed (41.6%). Fluctuations in the levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids, monounsaturated fatty acids or saturated fatty acids examined from eggs or larvae were consistent with changes in lipid classes during pike development. During yolk sac absorption, pike incorporated yolk PUFA released on hydrolysis of phosphatidylcholine into the larval body. The results are discussed with reference to water temperature and in relation to the ontogenic and ecological context of pike development. This study examined the effects of water hardness and salinity on yolk sac larvae and swim‐up fry survival of Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus (Chitralada strain), eggs during artificial incubation. Four experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of hardness, salinity and the sources of saline incubation water. High water hardness treatments (500–4200 mg L?1 as CaCO3) resulted in higher yolk sac larvae and swim‐up fry survival than low water hardness treatments (50.0 and 132 mg L?1 as CaCO3); although yolk sac larvae and swim‐up fry survival did not differ among the high or low hardness treatments. Salinity of 4.0 g L?1 using seawater, and 4.0 and 8.0 g L?1 using unprocessed common salt resulted in the higher survival rate of yolk sac larvae and swim‐up fry than other salinity treatments. Yolk sac larvae and swim‐up fry survival was found to decrease with the increase in salinity and increase with the increase in water hardness. The present study demonstrated the positive effects of increased water hardness level (>132 mg L?1) on yolk sac larvae and swim‐up fry survival. The study also showed that seawater salinity of 4 g L?1 was the most appropriate salinity level for incubating Nile tilapia eggs.  相似文献

This study investigated the influence of temperature (4, 8 and 12°C) on development and survival of brown trout (Salmo trutta) fry. The three aims of this study were: (a) to propose a typology of malformations; (b) to compare malformation types between live and dead fry and (c) to establish relationships between temperature and malformation occurrences. It was found 20 single malformations and 39 combinations of two or more malformations. Comparison between dead and live fry at different development stages (hatching, emergence and first food intake) showed that malformations of yolk sac were predominant at hatching and then decreased, while malformations of skeleton or multiple malformations were higher thereafter. All dead fry, and only 14% of live fry were malformed. Dead fry were mainly characterized by yolk sac malformations and multiple malformations whatever the temperature. Live fry showed a higher rate of skeleton malformations at 12°C, and the different types of malformations were equally represented at two other temperatures (4 and 8°C). To conclude, it is suggested that some malformations (yolk sac at hatching, yolk sac associated with skeleton malformations at emergence and skeleton at first food intake or combinations of malformations at all stages)might be lethal as they were founding dead fry and that temperature influences differently the occurrence of malformations.  相似文献

本文描述了达氏鲟仔鱼消化系统的发育过程及仔鱼的食性.将仔鱼消化系统的发育过程归纳为三个阶段,即初期发育阶段、消化道分化完成阶段、发育完善阶段。这三个阶段与仔鱼的垂直游泳、水平游泳和进入底层生活三个生态阶段相对应.观察了仔鱼在池塘培育和室内饲养条件下摄食的种类、开始摄食时的长度及消化道内卵黄物质吸收的情况。根据仔鱼具有口腔齿及消化道结构的特点,认为仔鱼属底层肉食性鱼类的食性类型。其摄食对象主要是水蚯蚓和摇蚊幼虫等底栖无脊椎动物,其次是在池壁和水底活动的枝角类和桡足类。仔鱼的混合营养阶段不是发生在水平游泳阶段而是发生在进入底层生活之后,与其他的鲟科鱼类仔鱼不同。  相似文献

The present experiment reports on the effects of inositol supplementation from 0 to 1600 mg kg−1 to a fishmeal-based diet on growth, inositol retention, proximate composition (dry matter, protein and lipid) and blood chemistry in Atlantic salmon, Salmo salar L., fry during a 28-week feeding experiment. Growth was affected to a minor extent, and only during the first 4 weeks of the experiment. Mortality was low and not related to dietary inositol. The inositol concentration in whole fish and liver was affected by dietary inositol supplementation. Proximate composition of whole fish was similar among dietary groups, except for positive correlations between dry matter, lipid and protein and dietary inositol supplementation after 8 weeks. Analyses of hepatic lipid classes after 8 weeks showed non-significant differences among the groups, mostly explained by somewhat reduced total hepatic lipid accumulation with increasing dietary inositol. Triacylglycerol and phosphatidylcholine accounted for 80% and 8–10% of the hepatic lipids (approximately 80 mg lipid g−1 wet weight) in all groups. Blood haemoglobin was positively correlated and plasma triacylglycerol was negatively correlated to dietary inositol supplementation at week 28, while plasma protein and cholesterol were unaffected. The present results indicate that the requirement of Atlantic salmon fry for inositol is covered through the natural content of inositol in practical feed ingredients at around 300 mg inositol kg−1. It may, however, be advisable to supplement starter diets with moderate amounts of inositol, around 200 mg kg−1, to compensate for fluctuations in inositol concentrations in natural ingredients, leaching loss of inositol from the diet and for any potential increased inositol requirement in salmon fry.  相似文献

Abstract. The eggs and yolk sac fry of the mouth brooding tilapia. Oreochromis mossambicus (Peters), were artificially reared in an experimental hatchery system at different temperatures. The hatchability, embryonic development of eggs and growth of yolk sac fry were studied under controlled conditions. It was shown that the upper lethal temperature for O. mossambicus eggs was above 40°C and the lower lethal temperature between 11°C and 17°C. For yolk sac fry these values lay between 34 and 40°C and 17 and 20°C respectively. Fry survival between 24·3 and 34·0°C was near to 100% while al 20°C it was less than 60%. The somatic growth rates of fry at temperature between 20 and 34·5°C up to 10 days post hatch are presented and were found to differ significantly. At 34·6°C a negative SGR was recorded during the period 6–9 days post hatching, but, during the first 6 days, the SGR at this temperature was more than four times higher than at 20°C. At the elevated temperatures, the utilization of yolk is faster and the loss of weight observed was due to starvation. This should be taken into account when incubating under artificial rearing condition so that initiation of exogenous feeding is timed most appropriately.  相似文献

Embryo somatic tissues, non‐somatic yolk‐sac materials, and whole, individual fingerlings (age 0+) of Arctic charr, Salvelinus alpinus (L.), as well as a commercial trout diet, were analysed for a wide spectrum of amino acids. Analytical material consisted of prefeeding swim‐up fry that were separated into discrete yolk sac and somatic embryo tissue samples. Amino acid concentrations in fry somatic tissue and whole fingerlings were generally very similar to each other, but were lower than those measured in yolk materials. Higher correlations were observed between the majority of specific amino acid concentrations in the trout diet when compared with fingerling data (r2 = 0.91) and fry somatic tissue data (r2 = 0.89), than when correlated with fry yolk sac material (r2 = 0.76). These results indicate that the essential amino acid profiles of fry somatic tissue and whole fingerlings are closer to that of a commercial feed than they are to the endogenous profiles found in the embryonic yolk sac material itself. The dietary ratios of individual essential amino acids were also compared with the total essential amino acid concentrations (A/E ratios) in whole fingerling tissues, and these ratios could be used to accurately estimate the apparent essential amino acid requirements of Arctic charr. The rationale for using carcass amino acid composition data to estimate the dietary essential amino acid requirements of Arctic charr is discussed.  相似文献

Brill (Scophthalmus rhombus L.) is a flatfish considered of special interest for aquaculture diversification, but the high mortality observed during the early larval rearing is the main obstacle to commercial culture. The objective of this study was to contribute to the knowledge of nutrient utilization of early‐hatched larvae, characterizing the changes in lipid and protein contents during embryogenesis and the yolk‐sac larval stage of S. rhombus. Total lipid, lipid classes and fatty acid contents remained constant during embryogenesis and yolk‐sac larval development, except for phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylinositol, which increased in quantity during the yolk‐sac larval stage. On the other hand, total protein (including non‐protein nitrogen) and amino acids decreased their contents in both periods, especially at hatching. The decrease only in the serine, glutamic acid, proline and lysine contents during embryogenesis suggests a selective use of amino acids during this phase. Unlike embryogenesis, amino acids loss during hatching appears to be non‐selective, and almost all amino acids (essential and non‐essential) decreased. Our results suggest that there is higher catabolism of protein vs. lipid during embryogenesis and the yolk‐sac larval stage of S. rhombus.  相似文献

The combined effects of temperature and salinity on the yolk utilization of sac fry in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) were investigated using central composite experimental design and response surface approach. Based on the preliminary trials, temperature was determined to range from 22 to 34°C, and salinity ranging from 2 ppt to 10 ppt. The utilization was mensurated in terms of yolk sac volume. Results showed that the linear effects of temperature and salinity on the yolk utilization was significant (P < 0.01); the quadratic effects of and the interaction between the two factors were significant (P < 0.05); temperature was more important than salinity in influencing the yolk utilization. The model equation of yolk sac volume towards temperature and salinity was established. From those high R2 values, the model had excellent goodness of fit to experimental data and could be applied for predictive purpose. What with the production cost, it is suggested that the temperature/salinity combination, i.e. 28–30°C/4–6 ppt, be employed during the period of sac fry rearing, in which the yolk utilization was on average 98.6%.  相似文献

Abstract – In the coastal areas of the Baltic Sea, there are two forms of perch (Perca fluviatilis). One of the forms is migratory and spawns in streams entering the Baltic Sea. The other form is resident and spawns in brackish water. Both forms utilise the coastal habitat for foraging. We examined the spawning success of the two forms in fresh and brackish water (7‰, equal to salinity in the south Baltic Sea). The experiments showed that hatching success was equally high in freshwater and in brackish water despite female origin. The survival of yellow‐sac and free swimming fry was significantly reduced in brackish water, which was independent if the fish was of migratory or brackish resident origin. Further, growth rate of perch fry was severely reduced in brackish water. The results indicate that perch has not developed any tolerance to brackish water in the young life stages. The migratory life strategy of perch can thus be explained by higher survival of fry in freshwater.  相似文献

Abstract – The persistent effects of embryonic temperature stress and individual parentage on fry swimming performance were examined in a cross‐fertilisation experiment using sockeye salmon (Oncorhynchus nerka). A fixed‐velocity test of burst swimming was used to assess the endurance capacity and behavioural performance of individual fry from 10 offspring families incubated at 12, 14 or 16 °C to hatch and then reared through yolk absorption and exogenous feeding stages in a common posthatch environment (average 6.9 °C). Fry burst swim time (BST) was influenced by an interaction between incubation temperature and family identity. Average BST was longer for fry from the 12 °C prehatch treatment compared to 14 and 16 °C, although differences were largely attributable to temperature effects on average fry size. Behavioural observations revealed that fish incubated at 16 °C performed more poorly, having a larger proportion of individuals that required stimulation to swim, fatigued more frequently or were classified as ‘nonswimmers’. Within all three incubation temperature treatments, mean BST varied significantly among offspring families, independent of fry mass and length. An interesting relationship was observed within the 16 °C treatment, whereby families with higher survivorship were characterised with lower mean BSTs. Collectively, these findings demonstrate that exposure to high temperatures in early sockeye salmon development can result in persistent, parentally mediated effects on fry performance. As such, these results provide important insight into how elevated temperature events during egg incubation may affect early life history selection processes and survival in stages beyond when the stressor is experienced.  相似文献

对川陕哲罗鲑(Hucho bleekeri Kimura)早期发育进行了全过程观察。根据胚胎发育的外部形态及典型特征,将川陕哲罗鲑的胚胎发育过程分为25个时期。在平均水温10.17℃条件下,受精卵历时549 h出膜,所需积温为228.31℃·d。初孵仔鱼全长(11.62±0.50)mm,体重(0.0254±0.0016)g,卵黄囊体积(53.82±1.03)mm~3。背鳍原基、臀鳍原基、腹鳍原基、脂鳍原基分别于2d、4d、9d、11d时出现。17 d仔鱼腹腔出现鳔。18 d仔鱼进入混合营养期。20 d仔鱼腹部首次出现鳞片,进入稚鱼期。26 d稚鱼卵黄被完全吸收,完全营外源性营养。52d时各鳍鳍条完全。64 d时体侧横斑纹发育完全。73 d时鳞片遍及全身,进入幼鱼期。仔稚鱼期间的生长模型方程为:TL=0.3766D+13.318,(R~2=0.9772,TL为全长,D为日龄),特定生长率为0.030。本研究旨在为川陕哲罗鲑的人工繁殖和鱼种培育提供科学指导。  相似文献

利用透射电镜研究凡纳滨对虾卵子发生过程中细胞内部结构的变化。结果显示,卵原细胞结构简单,代谢水平低,核孔稀少,通过核周池来完成核、质之间的物质交换。卵黄发生前晚期和卵黄发生初期的卵母细胞变化显著:核膜凹凸不平,核仁数量多,核孔密集,大量核仁外排物经核孔输送到卵质中;卵质中胞器极为丰富和发达,代谢活性极强。卵黄发生旺盛期是卵黄大量形成的阶段,卵质边缘还呈辐射状排列了一圈椭圆形皮质棒,细胞出现微吞饮活动并形成卵黄膜。卵黄发生晚期卵质中充满了粗大的卵黄粒和脂滴,胞器锐减。另外,探讨了卵细胞内部结构的变化和卯黄形成的关系以及皮质棒的来源与功能。  相似文献

Abstract. Deformities consisting of an upward curvature of the spine in the caudal region with varying degrees of reduction of the caudal fin were observed in some fry of a laboratory population of Oreochromis niloticus (L.). This spinal deformity was combined with a reduction of the operculum, exposing some gill lamellae. No deformed fry survived for more than 7 days after completion of yolk sac absorption. Breeding tests demonstrate that the mutant phenotype is controlled by a single autosomal recessive gene.  相似文献

Abstract.— Channel catfish Ictalurus punctatus fry are typically held under hatchery conditions for 7 to 14 d after hatching to allow feeding and growth before they are stocked into nursery ponds to produce fingerling catfish. In an attempt to reduce hatchery operating costs, several catfish fingerling producers in Louisiana presently stock fry within 2 d after hatching before yolk absorption is complete. Fry at this stage of development are commonly referred to as "sac-fry." Although research has shown that fry can be stocked at the onset of yolk absorption with no detrimental effects on subsequent fingerling production, stocking sac-fry has been reported to result in reduced fingerling survival. To further investigate this topic, production trials were conducted in experimental outdoor pools over the course of two growing seasons to evaluate the effect of stocking fry of three different ages (2-, 7-, and 14-d post-hatch, DPH) on survival, growth (weight and length), condition factor (K), yield, feed consumption, and feed conversion ratio (FCR) of fingerling catfish. Results from both trials indicated that the age at which fry were stocked had no effect on production characteristics with the exception of growth. Specifically, fingerlings reared from fry stocked at 2 and 7 DPH were significantly larger than fingerlings reared from fry stocked at an age of 14 DPH. These findings suggest that the practice of stocking sac-fry may be a suitable alternative to the traditional procedure of holding and feeding fry under hatchery conditions prior to stocking. However, in order to fully evaluate the effects of early-age stocking of catfish fry on fingerling production, additional studies must be conducted under pond conditions. Furthermore, these studies must be coupled with a rigorous economic analysis before the practice of stocking sac-fry can be recommended to the catfish industry.  相似文献

A female milkfish, captured at sea, was injected with two hormonal injections of acetone-dried salmon pituitary powder and human chorionic gonadotropin, plus Vitamin B complex. It was stripped, and produced 128,000 ripe eggs with an average diameter of 1.15 mm. Fertilization rate was 38% following artificial fertilization with milt from an uninjected male. A total of 36,000 larvae hatched (74% of fertile eggs) after 26–32 h at 34 ‰ salinity and 27–32°C. The newly hatched larvae measured 3.4 mm in mean total length and possessed a large yolk sac. The mouth of the larvae opened about 54 h after hatching. The larvae were fed with fertilized oyster eggs, rotifers, copepods, brine shrimp, flour and prepared feed, together with Chlorella. A critical period was between the 4th and 6th days with mortality over 80%. The larvae started increasing in length by Day 8, and had the appearance of the wild fry by Day 11. On Day 13 a pigmentation pattern developed and the biggest larva measured 10.0 mm. By Day 18 the larvae measured 12.5 mm, and 14.5 mm by Day 21. A total of 2,859 fry was obtained; the highest larval survival rate obtained from different experimental groups was 46.8%.  相似文献
