尿素水平对青山羊血液生化指标的影响   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
应用饲养试验与氮平衡试验,研究了不同尿素水平的日粮对青山羊血清总蛋白(STP)、血清清蛋白(ALB)、血清球蛋白(GLB)、血清清球蛋白比值(A/G)、血清尿素氮(SUN)及血清谷丙转氨酶的含量变化的影响。试验采用4×4拉丁方试验设计,试验分4个阶段,在基础日粮一致的情况下,采用4、9、14、0(对照)g/kg·DM4种不同的处理,试验结果表明:不同尿素水平极显著影响ALB、SUN浓度和GPT活性浓度(P<0.01),对血清清球比(A/G)无显著差异(P>0.05),尿素水平与STP、GLB浓度存在负相关;血清含氮生化指标STP、ALB、GLB、A/G、GPT、SUN随时间呈动态变化,出现高峰的时间比瘤胃氨浓度出现的时间平均推迟1~2h。进食尿素后,血液生化指标由平稳逐渐缓慢升高到高峰,随后又下降并趋于平衡。  相似文献

The effect of four levels of progesterone on the occurrence and intensity of estrous behavior was determined in ovariectomized cows. Twelve Holsteins were bilaterally ovariectomized at least 2 mo before treatment. Progesterone (P4) was administered im two times/day for 5 d followed 72 h later with 2 mg estradiol (E2) im to induce estrous behavior. Treatments were control = oil, 100 mg P4/d, 300 mg P4/d and 500 mg P4/d. Each animal received all P4 treatments in a 4 X 4 Latin-square design. From d 2 through 6, with d 1 being the first day of P4 treatment, serum P4 concentrations averaged .3, 2.5, 6.1 and 12.3 ng/ml in treatments I to IV, respectively. Progesterone levels at the time of peak E2 (d9) were less than 1 ng/ml for treatments I, II and III and 1.8 ng/ml for treatment IV. Peak E2 levels for all groups averaged 23.9 pg/ml (12 h after E2 injection). Cows were observed continuously for 48 h after E2 injection to quantitate estrous behavior. Behavioral traits measured were: mounts initiated, mounts received, standing when mounted, chin rests initiated and chin rests received. Progesterone treatment caused a decrease in frequency of all five traits measured. As P4 levels increased, there was a linear (P less than .01) decrease in frequency of a behavioral trait. The percentage of the cows that showed each behavioral trait and mean time to first occurrence of each trait were not different after progesterone treatment, with the exception of standing behavior.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献

Rumen micro‐organisms are capable of producing microbial protein from ammonia and carbon skeleton, and non‐protein nitrogen (NPN) may be one of the sources of ammonia. Alternative source of NPN is the slow release of ammonia sources in which the product is the extrusion of starch with urea. This work aimed to determine the effects on nutrient intake, ingestive behaviour, digestibility, nitrogen balance, ruminal pH, rumen ammonia nitrogen, volatile fatty acids (VFA) and blood parameters with increased levels of extruded urea (50, 60, 70 and 80 g/100 kg of body weight [BW]) in beef cattle diet. Four rumen cannulated crossbred steers with initial mean weight of 336 ± 47 kg in a 4 × 4 Latin square design were distributed. Diets were formulated with 400:600 g/kg roughage:concentrate ratio on dry matter based and provided once per day, being used whole corn silage as roughage. There were no effects on nutrient intake (kg/day), ingestive behaviour, apparent digestibility, nitrogen balance, volatile fatty acid (VFA) and blood parameters in extruded urea treatment groups. Similar results were observed on time spent on feeding, rumination and idleness. There were positive linear effects (p = 0.022) on rumen pH in the time of 8 hr after feeding and also on plasma concentration of the extruded urea levels (p = 0.039); whereas a linear negative effect (p = 0.030) was observed on ammonia nitrogen for the collection time of 2 hr after feeding. Increased levels of extruded urea could maintain nutrient intake, digestibility, ingestive behaviour, rumen pH and blood parameters in normal conditions. In conclusion, we recommend the extruded urea use with values up to 80 g/100 kg BW in confined beef cattle that receive balanced diets with 140 g/kg of crude protein.  相似文献

Information is given on a long-term observation of gMT activities in the blood of cattle, aimed at using the results to interpret metabolic tests, especially tests of the function of liver. Dynamics of changes in the gMT activities was studied in the year seasons and the per cent activities in the decades (from 20 to 100 U per 1) in different groups of cows according to their reproduction cycle. In the part discussion relationships are given between the gMT activities and other findings obtained from metabolic tests. The average value of the gMT activities in the blood of a reference group of cows was 30.7 U per 1. The standard deviation was 7.01 U per 1. Reference limits for the gMT activities in the bovine blood serum - 16.7 to 44.7 U per 1 (95% interval of confidence) could be determined by a parametric statistical method. Average deviations of the gMT activities from those in the reference group of cows, expressed in histogram units J, ranged from 0.03 to 1.07 J after a long-term observation in particular calendar months. The maximum positive deviations were observed in January, June, July, November and they indicate the risk period, in August and September the values nearly approached those in the reference group of cows. The maximum positive deviation of the metabolic test amounted to 6.8 J (January). There were eight metabolic tests with the deviation greater than 1 J during the observation, two in the summer period (May--October) and six in the winter period (November-April). In cows after calving and in the first half of gravidity the gMT activities were most frequently in the decade 30.5-40.0 U per 1, and in highly pregnant cows in the decade 20.5-30.0 U per 1.  相似文献

Background

An elevated plasma glucose concentration has been considered to be a potential risk factor in the pathogenesis of left-displaced abomasums (DA). Therefore the present study was performed to investigate if spontaneous disease (parturient paresis, metritis, ketosis etc) in dairy cows results in elevated concentrations of glucose and cortisol in blood as cortisol is the major regulator of glucose in ruminants.

Methods

Cortisol, insulin, β-hydroxybutyric acid (BHBA), non esterified fatty acids (NEFA), and serum calcium were analyzed in blood serum and glucose, in whole blood, from 57 spontaneously diseased cows collected at different farms. The cows were grouped according to the disease; parturient paresis, recumbent for other reasons, mastitis, metritis, ketosis, inappetance and others.

Results

No elevated concentrations of cortisol or glucose were found in cows with metritis and mastitis but both cortisol and glucose were elevated in cows stressed by recumbency. Cows with ketonemia (BHBA > 1.5 mmol/l) did not have low concentration of glucose in blood but significantly low levels of cortisol. Some of these cows even had cortisol concentrations below the detection limit of the analysing method (< 14 nmol/l).

Conclusions

The study gives patho-physiological support to the treatment strategies of ketosis, recommending glucocorticoids, insulin etc. However further studies of this problem are needed to understand why cows with ketosis have low levels of cortisol and normal levels of glucose. To what extent elevated cortisol and glucose levels in hypocalcemic and recumbent cows are involved in the ethiology and /or the pathogenesis of DA also will need further research.  相似文献
