本试验旨在考察不同硒源及硒水平对大鼠生长性能、血清抗氧化能力及组织硒沉积的影响,并以亚硒酸钠和商品酵母硒(酵母硒B)为参比,对本课题组用糖蜜和尿素为发酵底物研制的酵母硒(酵母硒A)生物学效价进行评定.将硒耗竭2周后的70只8周龄左右Wistar雌性大鼠称重,随机分到10个处理,每个处理7个重复,每个重复1只大鼠,分别饲喂不同处理的饲粮21d.处理1不添加任何形式的硒源,处理2~9在基础饲粮中分别以亚硒酸钠或酵母硒A的形式添加0.1、0.2、0.3和0.4mg/kg硒,处理10以酵母硒B形式添加0.3mg/kg硒.结果表明:1)不同硒源及硒水平对大鼠生长性能、血清谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-Px)和超氧化物歧化酶活性影响不显著(P>0.05);2)组织硒含量随饲粮硒水平的升高极显著增加(P<0.01),添加酵母硒A组大鼠组织硒含量显著高于亚硒酸钠组(P<0.05);3)以亚硒酸钠为参比,血清GSH-Px活性及肝脏、肾脏和肌肉硒含量作为判定指标,酵母硒A的相对生物学效价分别为95.9%、127.5%、114.5%和101.2%;4)添加酵母硒A和酵母硒B对大鼠生长性能、血清抗氧化能力的影响不显著(P>0.05),但添加酵母硒A组大鼠肾脏硒含量极显著高于酵母硒B组(P<0.01),而酵母硒B在肌肉中有更多的硒沉积(P<0.01).结果提示:1)硒源对大鼠组织硒沉积有较大影响,酵母硒相对于亚硒酸钠具有更高的生物学效价,但不同酵母硒之间存在一定的差异;2)饲粮硒水平对大鼠血清抗氧化能力影响较小,以血清GSH-Px活性为衡量标准,0.1mg/kg硒的酵母硒和亚硒酸钠都能满足大鼠的需要,但更高水平的酵母硒可以使大鼠组织中有更多硒的储备.  相似文献

A study was conducted to determine the efficacy of organic (Se-yeast, SelenoSource AF, Diamond V Mills Inc., Cedar Rapids, IA) and inorganic sources of Se on growth performance, tissue Se accretion, and carcass characteristics of growing-finishing pigs fed diets with high endogenous Se content. A total of 180 pigs at 34.4 +/- 0.06 kg of BW were allotted to 1 of 5 dietary treatments: a negative control without added Se (NC); 3 treatment diets with 0.1, 0.2, or 0.3 mg/kg of added Se from an organic source; and a diet with 0.3 mg/kg of added Se as sodium selenite. Each treatment had 6 pens, with 6 pigs per pen-replicate. Experimental diets were changed twice at 66.1 +/- 0.5 kg and 99.0 +/- 0.9 kg of BW, and were fed until the pigs reached market weight. Growth performance was measured at the end of each phase. Upon reaching 129.9 +/- 1.4 kg of BW, the pigs were transported to a local abattoir (Seaboard Foods, Guymon, OK), where carcass, loin, and liver samples were obtained. Hair and blood samples were obtained at the beginning and end of the study for Se analysis. Growth performance did not differ (P > 0.05) among treatments. Percent drip loss of the NC pigs was greater (2.41 vs. 1.75, P = 0.011) compared with pigs supplemented with Se. Pigs fed diets with added Se had greater Se concentrations in the liver (0.397 vs. 0.323 ppm, P = 0.015), loin (0.236 vs. 0.132 ppm, P < 0.001), serum (0.087 vs. 0.062 ppm, P = 0.047), and hair (0.377 vs. 0.247 ppm, P = 0.003) compared with the NC pigs. Percentage drip loss was linearly reduced [percent drip loss = 2.305 - (2.398 x Se), r2 = 0.29, P = 0.007] as dietary organic Se concentration increased. The Se concentration (ppm) in the liver [liver Se = 0.323 + (0.291 x Se), r2 = 0.33, P = 0.003], loin [loin Se = 0.122 + (0.511 x Se), r2 = 0.57, P < 0.001], serum [serum Se = 0.060 + (0.113 x Se), r2 = 0.33, P = 0.004] and hair [hair Se = 0.237 + (0.638 x Se), r2 = 0.56, P < 0.001] increased linearly as dietary organic Se concentration increased. Slope ratio analysis indicated that the relative bioavailability of organic Se for percent drip loss and loin and hair Se response was 306, 192, and 197% of that for inorganic Se, respectively. The results of the study show a potential advantage of organic Se supplementation in reducing drip loss even when the basal diet contains an endogenously high Se concentration of 0.181 ppm.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to investigate whether feeding selenium (Se)-replete cows a Se-yeast supplement in late pregnancy affects nutrient metabolism and inflammatory response during the periparturient period. Twenty cows were randomly assigned to two groups with 10 cows each. Cows in one group received Se-yeast at 0.3 mg Se/kg DM during the last 4 weeks before calving in addition to fed a TMR containing supplemented sodium selenite at 0.3 mg Se/kg DM (Se-yeast), while cows in another group were only fed a TMR containing supplemented sodium selenite at 0.3 mg Se/kg DM (Control). Blood samples were collected and analyzed for nonesterified fatty acids (NEFA), β-hydroxybutyrate (BHBA), glucose, insulin, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, serum amyloid A (SAA), haptoglobin (Hp), and albumin. In control cows, plasma NEFA, IL-1β, IL-6, SAA, and Hp levels increased after calving, but glucose, insulin, and albumin levels decreased after parturition. Se-yeast supplemental cows had lower postpartum concentrations of NEFA, TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, SAA, and Hp, and higher postpartum levels of glucose, insulin, and albumin compared with control cows. The results indicate that feeding Se-replete cows a Se-yeast supplement in late pregnancy improves nutrient metabolism and attenuates the inflammatory response after calving.  相似文献

Sugarcane molasses is a widely used animal feed by-product, but is concentrated in S (approximately 1%, DM basis) and has been shown to reduce the Cu status of cattle. Dietary S may also antagonize Se; therefore, two 90-d studies were conducted with forage-fed, yearling steers (12 pens; 2 steers/pen for each study) to investigate the impact of molasses supplementation on measures of Se status. In Exp. 1, steers were assigned isonitrogenous supplements with equivalent amounts of TDN from 2 sources (molasses or corn). Supplemental Se was provided (3.0 mg of Se/d; Na selenite) to both treatments. After 90 d of supplementation, steers provided corn diets had greater (P = 0.02) liver Se concentrations and tended (P = 0.07) to have greater ADG compared with steers supplemented with molasses. Irrespective of treatment (P >/= 0.54), plasma Se concentrations decreased (P < 0.001) and plasma glutathione peroxidase activity increased (P < 0.001) from d 0 to 90. In Exp. 2, sources of supplemental Se (2.5 mg/ d), fed within molasses supplements, were compared. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the effects of soybean selenium proteinate on Se tissue retention and meat quality in pigs. In group A (n = 11) the mixtures were supplemented with soybean selenium proteinate, in group B (n = 11) with sodium selenite and in group C (n = 11) with Se-enriched yeast (0.3 mg Se per kg in all groups). The use of soybean selenium proteinate resulted in lower retention of Se in tissues (liver, heart, muscle) compared to Se-enriched yeast. Selenium concentrations in tissues achieved by soybean selenium proteinate and sodium selenite were comparable. No differences in serum Se, serum GSH-Px and meat quality traits were found among the groups.  相似文献

本文旨在研究和比较不同硒源及水平对爱拔益加(AA)肉鸡生长性能、组织硒含量和抗氧化功能的影响,并探讨在生产中应用较低水平(0.20 mg/kg)有机硒替代较高水平(0.30 mg/kg)无机硒的可行性.选用1日龄AA肉仔鸡600只,随机分为5组,分别饲喂基础饲粮(对照组)及在基础饲粮中添加0.30 mg/kg硒(以亚硒酸钠形式)(SS组)、0.20 mg/kg硒(以酵母硒形式)(SY Ⅰ组)、0.30 mg/kg硒(以酵母硒形式)(SYⅡ组)和0.30 mg/kg混合硒(亚硒酸钠和酵母硒形式硒各0.15mg/kg)(MS组)的试验饲粮,每组6个重复,每个重复20只鸡.试验期42 d.结果表明:1)SYⅡ组肉鸡前期平均日采食量显著低于对照组(P<0.05),饲粮添加各水平有机硒均显著降低了肉鸡全期平均日采食量(P <0.05或P<0.01).2)与对照组和SS组相比,添加各水平有机硒均显著提高了肉鸡胸肌中的硒含量(P<0.01),且以SYⅡ组最高,显著高于其他各组(P<0.01);SY Ⅰ组和SYⅡ组肉鸡血浆中的硒含量显著高于对照组(P <0.05或P<0.01);添加各水平有机硒均显著提高了42 d肉鸡肝脏中的硒含量(P <0.05或P<0.01).3)在试验前期(1 ~21 d),较SS组,SYⅡ组肉鸡血浆谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-Px)和总超氧化物歧化酶(T-SOD)的活性均显著提高(P<0.05);较对照组,SS组、SY Ⅰ组和SYⅡ组肉鸡肝脏T-SOD的活性均显著提高(P<0.05或P<0.01).在试验后期(22 ~42 d),较对照组,SS组、SY Ⅰ组和SYⅡ组肉鸡血浆和肝脏GSH-Px的活性均显著提高(P<0.05或P<0.01),各添加有机硒组肉鸡的血浆丙二醛含量均显著降低(P<0.05或P<0.01);与对照组相比,MS组肉鸡肝脏过氧化氢酶(P<0.05)和GSH-Px的活性均显著提高(P<0.01).由此可知,饲粮添加0.30 mg/kg酵母硒能够提高肉鸡组织硒沉积量,对其生长性能和抗氧化功能的改善效果最佳;饲粮添加0.20 mg/kg的酵母硒替代0.30 mg/kg亚硒酸钠,在改善肉鸡的生长性能、提高组织硒含量和抗氧化功能方面是可行的.  相似文献

Excess consumption of selenium (Se) accumulator plants can result in selenium intoxication. The objective of the study reported here was to compare the acute toxicosis caused by organic selenium (selenomethionine) found in plants with that caused by the supplemental, inorganic form of selenium (sodium selenite). Lambs were orally administered a single dose of selenium as either sodium selenite or selenomethionine and were monitored for 7 days, after which they were euthanized and necropsied. Twelve randomly assigned treatment groups consisted of animals given 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 mg of Se/kg of body weight as sodium selenite, or 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, or 8 mg of Se/kg as selenomethionine. Sodium selenite at dosages of 2, 3, and 4 mg/kg, as well as selenomethionine at dosages of 4, 6, and 8 mg/kg resulted in tachypnea and/or respiratory distress following minimal exercise. Severity and time to recovery varied, and were dose dependent. Major histopathologic findings in animals of the high-dose groups included multifocal myocardial necrosis and pulmonary alveolar vasculitis with pulmonary edema and hemorrhage. Analysis of liver, kidney cortex, heart, blood, and serum revealed linear, dose-dependent increases in selenium concentration. However, tissue selenium concentration in selenomethionine-treated lambs were significantly greater than that in lambs treated with equivalent doses of sodium selenite. To estimate the oxidative effects of these selenium compounds in vivo, liver vitamin E concentration also was measured. Sodium selenite, but not selenomethionine administration resulted in decreased liver vitamin E concentration. Results of this study indicate that the chemical form of the ingested Se must be known to adequately interpret tissue, blood, and serum Se concentrations.  相似文献

The objective was to compare growth and physiological responses in boars fed diets supplemented with organic or inorganic sources of Se. At weaning, crossbred boars (n = 117; 8.3 kg of BW) were placed in nursery pens (3 boars/pen) and assigned within BW blocks to receive on an ad libitum basis 1 of 3 dietary treatments: I) basal diets with no supplemental Se (controls), II) basal diets supplemented with 0.3 mg/kg of organic Se, and, III) basal diets supplemented with 0.3 mg/kg of sodium selenite (13 pens/dietary treatment). Average daily gain (470 g/d), ADFI (896 g/d), and G:F (0.54) were similar among groups. Blood Se concentrations were greater (P < 0.01) for boars consuming organic Se (107.5 ± 4.8 μg/L) or sodium selenite (114.7 ± 4.8 μg/L) compared with controls (28.4 ± 4.8 μg/L). Intact pens of boars (11 pens/dietary treatment) were moved to a grow-finish barn and continued to receive appropriate diets on an ad libitum basis. Average daily gain (1,045 g/d) and ADFI (2,716 g/d) were similar among groups. Gain:feed was affected by treatment (P = 0.02) and was greater (P < 0.06) for boars fed organic Se (0.378 ± 0.004) compared with boars fed sodium selenite (0.368 ± 0.004) or controls (0.363 ± 0.004). Blood Se concentrations were greater (P < 0.01) in grow-finish boars consuming organic Se (198.9 ± 5.5 μg/L) than boars consuming sodium selenite (171.4 ± 5.4 μg/L) or controls (26.7 ± 5.4 μg/L). Treatment did not affect (P > 0.15) HCW, dressing percent, carcass length, LM area, standardized fat-free lean, lean percentage, backfat thickness, visual color, firmness, marbling, or Minolta loin color scores. Selenium supplementation did not affect (P > 0.17) testis or accessory sex gland sizes. Concentrations of Se in loin, liver, kidney, testis, cauda epididymis, and accessory sex glands were greatest (P < 0.01) in boars receiving organic Se, intermediate in boars receiving sodum selenite, and least in control boars. Microarray analysis of testis gene expression did not detect differences (P > 0.05) due to dietary treatment. Testis gene expression of glutathione peroxidase 4, as determined using quantitative PCR, was increased (P < 0.01) in boars fed organic Se compared with those fed sodium selenite. In summary, dietary supplementation of boars with organic Se failed to alter ADG or ADFI but enhanced G:F during grow-finish. More research is needed to discern the mechanism by which organic Se improves feed efficiency in boars.  相似文献

The objective of this experiment was to explore the effects of different sources and levels of selenium (Se) on growth performance and tissue Se content of 10~11 months porcupine.Eighty and 10-month-old porcupine with a similar body weight were assigned to 5 groups with 8 replicates of 2 porcupines each.The porcupine were fed a basal diet without Se complementation (control group) or the basal diet adding 0.30 mg/kg Se in the form of sodium selenite (group Ⅰ),0.20 mg/kg Se in the form of yeast selenium (group Ⅱ),0.30 mg/kg Se in the form of yeast selenium (group Ⅲ) and 0.30 mg/kg mixed Se (0.15 mg/kg sodium selenite and 0.15 mg/kg yeast selenium)(group Ⅳ),respectively.The pre-test period lasted for 7 days and the trial period lasted for 45 days.The results showed that compared with the control group,there was no significant differences in the average daily feed intake (ADFI) in each group (P>0.05),the average daily gain (ADG) in groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ was significantly increased (P<0.05),the feed/gain (F/G) in group Ⅲ was significant decreased (P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the concent of Se in liver and muscle of group Ⅲ was extremely significantly increased (P<0.01),the content of Se in liver and muscle of groups Ⅱ and Ⅳ was also significantly increased (P<0.05 or P<0.01),and there was no significant difference in group Ⅰ(P>0.05).In conclusion,the basal diet supplemented with yeast selenium could improve the growth performance and increase the tissue Se concent in 10~11 months porcupine,and adding 0.30 mg/kg yeast selenium had the best effect.  相似文献

本试验旨在通过研究酵母硒对大口黑鲈生长性能、血浆生化指标、组织抗氧化指标及肝脏组织结构的影响,评价大口黑鲈对饲料中酵母硒的耐受性。在基础饲料中分别添加0(Y0)、0.5(Y0.5)、2.5(Y2.5)、5.0 mg/kg(Y5.0)(以硒计)酵母硒,其中0.5 mg/kg是硒的最高推荐剂量,2.5和5.0 mg/kg分别是最高推荐剂量(0.5 mg/kg)的5和10倍。基础饲料本底硒含量为0.76 mg/kg。选用初始体重为(12.99±0.01)g大口黑鲈,随机分为4组,每组6个重复,每个重复20尾,试验期为10周。结果表明:Y0组增重率和摄食率最低,同时其饲料系数也最低,均显著低于其余各组(P0.05)。Y0组血浆中碱性磷酸酶活性显著高于其余各组(P0.05)。Y0.5组血浆中高密度脂蛋白胆固醇含量显著高于其余各组(P0.05)。Y2.5组血浆中尿素氮含量显著高于其余各组(P0.05)。Y2.5组、Y5.0组血浆中免疫球蛋白M含量显著高于Y0组、Y0.5组(P0.05)。与Y0组相比,酵母硒的添加显著降低了血浆中丙二醛的含量(P0.05),且显著提高了血浆中谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶的活性(P0.05)。Y5.0组肝脏硒含量显著高于Y0组、Y 0.5组(P0.05),与Y2.5组无显著差异(P0.05)。硒日摄入量和肝脏硒含量呈显著线性相关(P0.05),肝脏硒含量随硒日摄入量的提高呈线性增加。各组大口黑鲈的肝脏都有不同程度的损伤,但添加0.5 mg/kg酵母硒对肝脏损伤有缓减作用。由上述结果可知,饲料中添加0.5 mg/kg酵母硒(总硒含量为1.29 mg/kg)对大口黑鲈具有一定的脂肪代谢促进作用和抗氧化保护功能,且对大口黑鲈是安全的。本试验条件下,综合生长性能、血浆生化指标、组织抗氧化指标及肝脏组织结构,饲料本底硒含量为0.76 mg/kg时,大口黑鲈对饲料中酵母硒的耐受剂量为0.5 mg/kg(以硒计),即为硒的最高推荐剂量,安全系数为1。鱼粉、磷虾粉等动物蛋白质源中含有较高水平的硒元素,因此在高鱼粉水产动物饲料中补充硒要慎重。  相似文献

The effect of dietary riboflavin (B2) supplementation and selenium (Se) source on the performance and Se metabolism of weanling pigs was studied. Pigs fed a B2-supplemented (10 mg/kg) casein-glucose diet for 18 d gained faster than pigs fed the B2-unsupplemented diet. Percentage active erythrocyte glutathione reductase (GR) declined rapidly when pigs were placed on the B2-unsupplemented diet and was lower (P less than .01) than that of B2-supplemented pigs after 12 d on test. Percentage active erythrocyte GR values fell below 50% before other B2 deficiency signs became evident. Supplementation of diets with 10 mg B2/kg resulted in increased kidney and muscle glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity. The Se concentration of liver and heart increased and plasma Se levels decreased with dietary B2 supplementation. Riboflavin supplementation and Se source did not alter apparent Se absorption, but B2 supplementation decreased urinary Se and thus increased Se retention. Also, there was less urinary Se excretion when selenomethionine was the dietary Se source and consequently more Se was retained than when sodium selenite was the dietary Se source. In a final trial, B2 supplementation increased kidney, muscle, heart and brain GSH-Px activity when sodium selenite was the dietary Se source, but not when selenomethionine was the dietary Se source.  相似文献

Background:This study was designed to evaluate the efficacy of DL-selenomethionine(DL-SeMet) supplementation on growth performance,antioxidant status,plasma selenium(Se) concentration,and immune function of weaning pigs.216 weaning pigs were randomly allocated to 6 treatments with 6 replicates each according to a complete randomized block design.Each replicate had six pigs.Diet of group one was corn-soybean basal diet without any additional Se supplement.Group 2 was supplemented with 0.3 mg/kg of Se from sodium selenite.Groups 3-6 were supplemented with 0.1,0.3,0.5,and 0.7 mg/kg of Se from DL-SeMet,respectively.The trial lasted for 42 days.Results:Pigs supplemented with 0.3 and 0.7 mg/kg DL-SeMet obtained better feed gain ratio(P 0.05).The best antioxidant ability(serum,liver,and muscle) was shown in 0.1-0.3 mg/kg DL-SeMet groups(P 0.05).The plasma Se concentration increased as the dietary DL-SeMet level elevated.The immunity among groups was not affected.Conclusions:DL-SeMet supplementation in the diet significantly improved the growth performance,antioxidant ability and plasma Se content of weaning pigs.DL-SeMet can replace sodium selenite in the diet of weaning pigs.  相似文献

1. The influence of different forms of dietary selenium (Se) on vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) and Se contents of egg yolk and chicken meat was investigated. 2. Eggs were collected from laying hens subjected to 4 different dietary treatments after 24 weeks of age. Treatments compared the effects of inorganic Se supplementation (selenite) to those of organic (Se-enriched yeast, Se-enriched alga Chlorella) supplements. In a second experiment the effect of the above organic dietary Se supplementation on the alpha-tocopherol contents of meat from broiler chickens was evaluated. 3. Dietary Se supplementation increased the alpha-tocopherol content of egg yolks from 297 mg/kg dry matter in treatment without supplementation to 311 mg/kg when selenium was supplemented as selenite, and to 370-375 mg/kg when organic supplements were used. The Se and alpha-tocopherol contents of breast and thigh meat in broilers were significantly increased by organic dietary Se supplementation. 4. The inclusion of organic dietary Se sources in the diets of laying hens and broilers would enhance the nutritional value (vitamin E and Se contents) of products (eggs and meat) for human consumption.  相似文献

An experiment was conducted to estimate the relative bioavailability of inorganic Se sources based on tissue Se deposition following supplementation at high dietary levels. Twenty-eight crossbred wethers averaging 50 kg initial weight were assigned randomly to seven treatments that were fed for 10 d. The basal diet contained .18 mg/kg Se (DM basis). Dietary Se was added at 0, 3, 6 or 9 mg/kg as reagent grade sodium selenite (Na2SeO3) and 6 mg/kg from either calcium selenite (CaSeO3), Na2SeO3 + fumed amorphous carrier or sodium selenate (Na2SeO4). There were four sheep per treatment group, housed in individual, raised pens with slatted floors. Daily feed intake was restricted to 1,200 g and tap water was available ad libitum. The basal diet was fed for a 10-d adjustment period, then sheep were fed experimental diets for 10 d. At the termination of the experiment, blood samples were taken; sheep were stunned and killed, and livers and kidneys were removed and frozen for Se analysis. There was a linear (P less than .001) uptake of Se in liver, kidney and serum. The CaSeO3 and Na2SeO4 sources resulted in greater (P less than .05) Se concentrations in liver and kidney than did Na2SeO3, but these differences were not significant when the analyzed dietary Se concentrations were used as a covariate in the statistical model. Based on linear and multiple linear regression slopes and average increases in serum, liver and kidney Se concentrations, estimated relative bioavailability values corrected for analyzed dietary concentration, were 100, 101, 90 and 133 for Na2SeO3, CaSeO3, Na2SeO3 + carrier and Na2SeO4, respectively.  相似文献

This paper describes 3 experiments comparing the effect of 10, 25 and 40 mg Se/kg, as sodium selenite, in mineral mixtures and salt licks fed to sheep. The supplement was given during the indoor season from October to May to 7 different flocks, each consisting of 50 to 100 sheep, in areas with selenium deficiency problems. The average selenium level in the basic diets did not exceed 0.05 mg/kg. Selenium status was monitored in the blood of ewes and lambs, and in milk. Blood selenium in lambs correlated well with blood selenium in their dams (r = 0.85). Selenium levels in milk on day 1 (colostrum) correlated well with selenium levels in dams (r = 0.92) and in offspring (r = 0.87). Statistically significant differences were found between the different flocks. In areas with extreme selenium deficiency, 10 mg Se/kg in mineral mixtures and salt licks proved insufficient. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of dietary levels of inorganic and organic selenium (Se) on performance, meat physicochemical characteristics, and Se deposition in the tissues of broilers chickens. A total of 2,880 one-day-old broilers (Cobb 500 strain) were divided into 96 experimental pens of 30 birds each. The 12 experimental treatments were arranged in a factorial design of 4 × 3 [selenium levels of 0.15, 0.30, 0.45, and 0.60 ppm, and organic (selenium yeast, SY) or inorganic (sodium selenite, SS) sources of selenium and their association (SY + SS)], with 8 replicates in a completely randomized design. No differences (P > 0.05) among Se levels or sources were detected with regard to any performance parameters. The average values of ADFI, ADG, and FCR were 106 g/bird per day, 63 g/bird per day, and 1.684 kg/kg, respectively. No differences (P > 0.05) were found between treatments regarding pH (5.79) and shear force (30.08 kgf). Those birds receiving 0.15 ppm of Se showed a significantly higher (21.92%) cooking loss of breast meat (P < 0.05). The organic form of Se decreased cooking loss, and the smallest loss was found when the diet was supplemented with 0.60 ppm of Se (15.87%). Deposition of Se in the liver increased from 0.97 (0.15 ppm of Se) to 2.43 mg/kg (0.60 ppm of Se) when using SY. The concentration of Se in the breast meat increased linearly from 0.23 to 1.42 mg/kg with increasing dietary levels of SY. Therefore, dietary supplementation with 0.15 ppm of Se, independent of source, can maintain normal bird performance. The SY was more efficient in depositing Se to the liver and breast muscle than the SS.  相似文献

The LD50-values of sodium selenite after i/m injection to rabbits was determined by means of probit-regression straight line. Simultaneously a combination of vitamin E and sodium selenite was tested for toxicity in order to examine the effect of vitamin E on the selenium toxicity. The LD50/24h was 2.53 mg sodium selenite/kg body mass and in combination with vitamin E (30 IU vitamin E/5 mg NaSeO3) 2.73 mg/kg. Furthermore the selenium concentration was determined in blood, liver, kidney and muscles of animals which died or were killed after 24 h respectively. Not only chemical analysis but also relations of time-dose-efficiency and significantly increased LD50-values show a certain protective effect of vitamin E on selenium intoxication.  相似文献

Thirty crossbred wethers (60 kg avg initial wt) were used to study the time-dose response to dietary Se as sodium selenite (Na2SeO3). Sheep were fed a basal diet (.20 mg/kg Se, M basis) for 10 d; three wethers were killed and tissues were collected for controls. The remaining 27 sheep were assigned randomly to diets supplemented with either 3, 6 or 9 mg/kg Se (as-fed basis) from reagent grade Na2SeO3 and fed for 10, 20 or 30 d. Feed offered was restricted to 1,200 g daily and tap water was available ad libitum. Sheep were stunned and killed by exsanguination and liver, kidney, muscle, heart and spleen were removed and frozen for Se analysis. No toxic effects were noted as expressed by feed intake or hemoglobin concentration. Added dietary Se increased Se linearly (P less than .01) in liver, kidney, and serum. Selenium in liver, kidney and serum also increased (P less than .01) as time advanced. Serum, liver and kidney were more sensitive to dietary Se than were muscle, heart and spleen. Ten days appeared to be an adequate length of time for further Se bioassay studies of this nature. Reagent grade Na2SeO3 was nontoxic when fed to sheep for 30 d at levels up to 90 times the Se requirement.  相似文献

Selenium (Se) plays an important role in hair growth. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of dietary selenium concentration on hair growth in dogs. Thirty-six beagles were stratified into six groups based on age, gender and body condition score. The dogs were fed a torula yeast-based canned food for 3 weeks. Then the dogs were fed varying amounts of selenium supplied as selenomethionine for an additional 24 weeks. Analysed selenium concentrations in the experimental foods for the six groups were 0.04, 0.09, 0.12, 0.54, 1.03 and 5.04 mg/kg dry matter respectively. Body weight and food intake were not affected by the selenium treatments. Serum selenium concentration was similar initially but was significantly different at the end of the study among groups. Dietary selenium concentration below 0.12 mg/kg diet may be marginal for an adult dog. Dietary treatment had no effect on serum total thyroxine (TT(4)), free thyroxine (FT(4)), and free 3,3',5-triiodothyronine (FT(3)). There was a significant diet and time interaction (p = 0.038) for total 3,3',5 triiodothyronine (TT(3)). Hair growth was similar among groups initially but significantly reduced in dogs fed diets containing 0.04, 0.09 or 5.04 mg Se/kg when compared with 0.12, 0.54 and 1.03 mg Se/kg at week 11 (p < 0.05) and week 22 (p = 0.061). These results demonstrated that both low and high selenium diets reduce hair growth in adult dogs.  相似文献

为探索壳聚糖硒对蛋雏鸡生长、组织硒含量及血清肝酶活性的影响,选取135只1日龄SPF蛋雏鸡,随机分为3组:一组为对照组,饲喂基础日粮;二组和三组在基础日粮中分别添加硒水平为0.15 mg/kg的亚硒酸钠和壳聚糖硒。结果显示:14日龄时亚硒酸钠组和壳聚糖硒组的耗料量、血清碱性磷酸酶(AKP)活性和胸肌、心肌、肾脏、全血的硒含量显著高于对照组(P<0.05),壳聚糖硒组心肌和肝脏的硒含量显著高于亚硒酸钠组(P<0.05);28日龄时壳聚糖硒组与亚硒酸钠组的体重、血清AKP活性和肝脏、肾脏、胸肌、心肌、全血的硒含量显著高于对照组(P<0.05),壳聚糖硒组的耗料量和肾脏、心肌、全血的硒含量显著高于亚硒酸钠组(P<0.05)。研究表明:壳聚糖硒能促进鸡的生长和硒的沉积,提高血清AKP活性,且效果优于亚硒酸钠。  相似文献
