Fengshui Theory in Environmental Management of Qingyun Temple in Yuyang District

Fengshui, one of the important factors in the layout of Chinese traditional buildings, runs through activities related to traditional Chinese architecture. In order to better interpret and reflect the relationship between traditional buildings and the surrounding natural environment, Fengshui theory is moderately applied when it comes to an environmental improvement project, so as to make the whole design more unified and the sub-design more sound. Therefore, buildings are more coordinated with the overall environment, and the essence of "culture of harmoniousness" of Chinese traditional architecture is reflected.     

Merging Traditional Dwelling Form into Modern Neighborhood—— A Holiday Villa District's Planning and Design in Shanghai

Taking a holiday villa district for example, this paper explored the ways of merging traditional dwelling form into modern neighborhood, in the planning and design of this villa district, external space designs of traditional villages were borrowed to stress the construction of traditional spaces, and the layout of road traffi c. It was elaborated that in the design of Chinese residential buildings, not only should Chinese style be applied in the facade design of dwellings, but also traditional dwelling forms should be merged with modern life, so the essence of traditional resident culture can be demonstrated in modern residential areas.     

Modern Translation of Classical Gardens:Landscape Design Conception and Strategy of Gaobeidian Train New Town in Longhu

This study introduced the design process and main contents of a project called Gaobeidian Train New Town in Longhu,which won the excellence award in the 55th international competition in 2018 hosted by International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA).In view of the separation of traditional cultural heritage and modern society and the disappearance of traditional culture,this study put forward the design concept and strategy of connecting traditional culture and modern landscape with Ziquan Palace as the design prototype by means of elastic landscape design,so as to continue the gene of traditional culture and arouse people’s awareness of respecting and protecting traditional culture.     

Representation of Minimalism in Kim Young-Sub's Church Design

Taking religious buildings as the object of study and the Korean architect Kim Young-Sub's art of church design as a sample, the paper attempts to discuss the pronounced effects that minimalist design methods have for building up religious environment from the perspective of space, details, decoration and lighting.     

Implementation of Green Building Design Strategies Needs Whole Process Control and Supervision

Whether the intention of green building design can be realized in buildings needs to be verified in practice.This study firstly investigates the basic climate conditions including the monthly average temperatures,humidity,wind directions,and wind speeds in Sydney,Australia,based on which it introduces some passive design features such as natural ventilation,thermal mass,natural lighting and shading control of an educational and office building in the University of New South Wales.Then,it reviews some problems identified from the post-occupancy stage of the building and discusses the strategies to solve the problems.Finally,it suggests that to implement the design intentions and ensure the expected performance of green buildings,attentions should be paid to supervise and direct implementation of the green design strategies and techniques in the whole process(from preliminary design,working drawing design,construction,to the occupancy stage) of building practice.     

Cluster Analysis of Hourly Usage Ratio of Lighting and Equipments Energy Use in Office Buildings

The hourly usage ratio is very important for lighting and equipment energy predicting of office buildings and energy saving calculation of energy efficient retrofit. 17 office buildings in Chongqing were selected to calculate daily usage ratio by using whole-year electrical consumption data of lighting and equipments energy system. According to the different hourly usage ratio, office buildings have been categorized into two main types by using cluster analysis method. Then, the typical hourly usage ratios of two types of office buildings were calculated.

以北京颐和园古桑树为外植体进行组织培养,取桑树当年新生嫩茎切段为外植体进行,其中不定芽启动培养基为MS+6-BA 0.5 mg/L+NAA 0.1 mg/L+PVP 0.2 g/L;将无菌苗接到最适分化培养基MS+ 6-BA 0.8 mg/L +NAA 0.1 mg/L +PVP 0.2 g/L上,组培苗分化率高;不定根最适诱导培养基为：1/2MS+NAA 0.5 mg/L +PVP 0.2 g/L,生根率达100%。组培苗移栽成活率达95%。     

诗考唐大明宫的园林植物

大明宫国家遗址公园的规划与建设使大明宫成为了社会和学术界关注的焦点,研究唐大明宫的园林历史能够对唐大明宫国家考古遗址公园的绿化树种选择有一定的参考价值,同时为中国国家遗址公园绿化规划与设计提供一种研究思路和方法。笔者通过对历史资料的收集及分类,特别是对唐代诗歌的研究,对与唐大明宫园林相关的诗文加以分析、推测和考证,初步整理唐大明宫皇家园林植物的种类,并总结其园林特色。     

A Brief Analysis on the Architectural Form and Cultural Connotation of the Traditional Chinese Gates

Gate is one of the building elements and has important function in the system of Chinese classical buildings. For one thing, the gate has turned from a building component into a single structure, and becomes the key part of space construction in the traditional courtyard buildings; for the another, the gate has not only practical and commemorative function, but also shows off the rigorous hierarchy, and becomes the symbol of the confucian feudal ethic. Through the analysis of their function, form and symbol, memorial meaning as well as the component relationship between gate and plan, gate and elevation, we can show up its profound connotation of social ethics and architectural aesthetics, and offer reference to architectural creation.     

Layouts and Aesthetic Characteristics of Buildings in the Period of Republic of China along Zhongshan Road in Nanjing City

Zhongshan Road in Nanjing City was formerly known as "Meridian of the Republic of China", signif icant buildings of the Republic of China were mostly distributed along this modern avenue. The diversifi ed styles and types of these buildings refl ect the historical changes of modern Chinese buildings, and also record history of that age. The buildings are intangible cultural heritages of not only Nanjing, but also China. Study on and protection of these buildings is a process of reviewing modern architectural history of China, and also rethinking the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese cultures. In addition, the research promotes the coordinated development of modern urban construction and social cultures.     

Energy-saving Planning and Design of Urban Residential Buildings in Hanzhong Area

Energy-saving design of residential building is an important part of energy-saving architectural design. Planning and design of residential buildings in Hanzhong area should pay more attention to the building orientation, sunshine, summer ventilation and wind resistance in winter and so on, so as to create favorable conditions for energy-saving design of single buildings. The geographical location, climatic characteristics, residents living habits and indoor and outdoor thermal environment situation were analyzed in this paper, and combined with the existing problems of energy conservation in the planning and layout of residential buildings in Hanzhong area. Based on the investigation, this paper drew some conclusions to provide references for the energy-saving planning and design of urban residential buildings in the local area.     

Landscape Destruction of the Potala Palace Square in Tibet

This paper, with the Potala Palace Square as the object of study, uses the post occupancy method to carry out a field investigation in a joint manner of questionnaire survey, interviews and behavioral trails observation, so as to analyze the landscape destruction behavior of the Potala Palace Square. The results show that the existing problems in design and management of that square as well as the public are responsible for the destruction; male foreign tourists in all ages, who mostly are the unemployed, students and service employees, prove to be destructors. The Potala Palace Square is characterized by regionalism. Opinions on green effect, management and other options of inland public and local residents vary from one to another. Designers and the administrative department of the square are required to come up with countermeasures to avoid the destruction. In practical design, designers must comply with the thinking of "Design Must be for People" and natural ecological principles, and the administrative department should scientifically manage and maintain the square.     

Study on Intelligent Lighting Design Method

In this paper,the artificial neural network theory is applied to indoor lighting design,the lighting design is combined with lighting calculation, which is fairly quick and reasonable.Furthermore this lighting design method is characterized by self_fitting and self_studying.     

The Seismic Shear Capacity of I-Shaped and T-Shaped Reinforced Concrete Structural Walls

There are numerous shear walls with flanges in the high-rise buildings in P.R.China.The shear strength formula for shear walls in Chinese design codes lacks experimental data,while test results in other nations lack aseismatic shear strength test results for shear walls with flanges under axial force.In this paper,we report low-cyclic reverse load test results of shear wall models with large dimensions,one shear wall having an I-shaped cross-section and two with a T-shaped cross-section.We discuss why the aseismatic shear walls of high-rise buildings with large height-to-length ratios have small shear span ratios.We assess the reliability of the shear strength formulary in the Chinese codes for design of shear wall using the international shear wall test results.     

Research on the Design Method of Digital Urban Lighting

This paper has introduced a kind of design method for digital urban lighting, it is an application of the illuminating engineering in digital city and a kind of measurable, dynamic visualization design method of the effect of digital urban lighting. A kind of new artificial method of scene imitation has been proposed in this paper. After taking pictures by verified digital camera, the luminosity and color information are taken to imitate the effect of urban lighting design, to display the current and future effect of lighting for the scene and thus optimize the urban lighting design plan to meet the demand of energy - conservation and beautifying the urban night scene.     

Research on the Concept and Method of Landscape Lighting Design of Montane City along the River

The city landscape lighting is an important strategy for cities to upgrade their fame and promote the development of traveling economy. The special regional character and space form of montane city along the river offer favorable conditions to create the lighting styles of landscape-garden mode,while it also brings new chlenge to landscape lighting designers. This paper discussed the concept of landscape lighting design in the regional and humanistic aspects, and has done the applied and academic analysis of lighting classification and light color delamination with the basic theory of photometry and colorimetry,also brought forward the new concept of the construction of three-dimensional city night view. In this paper, the scientific solution for the problems, which are often arisen in the process of landscape lighting design of montane city along the river,was put forward so to prevent the negative effect brought by the had designing vogue of rote, mimic slavishly etc. This paper centers on the green-lighting and emphasizes the combination of technology and art;it also provides the applied and theory foundation to the creation of unique styles of landscape lighting of montane city along the river.     

Research on the Facade Fabric Design and Facade Lighting Design of a Building

The lighting for city night scenes became a hot spot of urban construction.It is quite necessary for building designers to understand the relationship between the facade fabric design and the facade lighting design of a building and know the design method as well.This paper analyses the relationship between the facade fabric design and the lighting design,and proposes the factors that should be considered in the facade fabric design process.     

A Deliberation in Design Standard for Energy Efficiency of Buildings in Hot Summer and Cold Winter Zone

A contradiction existed in "Design Standard for Energy Efficiency of Residential Buildings in Hot Summer and Cold Winter Zone(JGJ-134-2001)" is pointed out through calculations and the contradiction is perfectly solved by means of interrelation principle between window and wall.At the same time the constant form principle of equal thermal resistance in parallel connection between window and wall is advanced to make the controlling indexes for enclosure in buildings satisfy perfectly the requirement for energy efficiency.
