盐分和水分胁迫对补血草种子萌发的影响   总被引:8,自引:1,他引:7  
在不同昼夜温度条件下用不同浓度NaCl(mmol/L)溶液及等渗聚乙二醇溶液处理大叶补血草(Limo-nium gmelinii(Willd.)Kuntze)和耳叶补血草(Limonium otolepis(Schrenk)Kuntze)种子,分别测定其萌发率、发芽势和发芽指数,测定处理9 d未萌发的种子移入蒸馏水后的萌发恢复率,以研究温度、盐胁迫和模拟干旱胁迫对种子萌发的影响。结果表明:两种补血草种子萌发的最适温度为25~15℃,在蒸馏水中的萌发率最高,随着盐浓度和PEG6000溶液浓度的增加,种子的萌发率、发芽势和发芽指数递减,对萌发产生抑制作用;PEG6000溶液对种子的萌发抑制程度与等渗NaCl溶液相当。较高盐浓度和PEG6000溶液处理下的种子复水后萌发可以恢复。  相似文献

以分布于准噶尔荒漠的木地肤为材料,研究了木地肤种子在4个温变周期(5/2℃、15/2℃、25/15℃、30/15℃,光12 h/暗12 h)下以及0.0~4.0mol/L NaCl溶液中的萌发。结果表明:木地肤种子萌发的适宜温周期为30/15℃和25/15℃,萌发率均大于85%;低温周期(5/2℃、15/2℃)明显抑制种子的萌发。低浓度的NaCl盐溶液(≤0.1mol/L)促进木地肤种子萌发,有一定的增效效应;小于0.6mol/LNaCl盐溶液对种子累积萌发率(≥80%)无显著影响;NaCl浓度大于1mol/L后,随着盐浓度的增加,盐度与萌发率呈显著负相关关系;盐胁迫解除后,种子具有一定的恢复萌发能力,随着盐浓度的不断增加,种子的恢复萌发率逐渐下降;在NaCl盐溶液高达2.0、4.0mol/L时,恢复萌发率为36%和39.6%。  相似文献

以白茎盐生草种子为材料,研究不同光照、温度、NaCl和PEG处理对白茎盐生草种子萌发特性的影响.结果表明:1)白茎盐生草萌发时对光暗条件要求不严,3种光暗条件下,白茎盐生草种子均在30℃/35℃时快速达到最大萌发率而完成萌发进程.2)当NaCl浓度为100 mmol/L时,对白茎盐生草种子萌发无显著影响向,但当NaCl浓度为200~ 500mmol/L则会显著抑制白茎盐生草种子的萌发,种子的耐盐(NaCl)阈值和极限值分别为350.94和510.32mmol/L.3)随着干旱胁迫程度的增加,完成萌发进程所用时间增长,最终萌发率显著下降.-0.2 MPa的渗透势对白茎盐生草种子最终萌发率无显著影响,渗透势为-0.4~-1.2 MPa时,种子最终萌发率总体呈显著下降的趋势,种子的耐旱(PEG)阈值和极限值分别为-1.58和-3.09 MPa.综上所述,白茎盐生草种子萌发时表现出较强的抗盐性和极强的抗旱性.  相似文献

对苦豆子破除种子硬实、提高活力指数的方法及最适发芽的土壤含水量和播深进行了测定与研究,结果表明:苦豆子种子发芽困难的原因是种皮致密,吸胀困难;提高发芽率的措施是砂纸摩擦或65%H2SO4处理20 min;提高种子活力的措施是65% H2SO4处理20 min后,再用0.02%GA3处理;苦豆子种子萌发的适宜土壤含水量为8%~12%,播种的最适深度是0~3 cm.  相似文献

本研究采用双因素组合实验,探讨盐(NaCl)、干旱(PEG 6000)对费尔干猪毛菜(Salsola ferganica)种子萌发和幼苗生长的影响。结果显示:①费尔干猪毛菜种子萌发能耐受较高浓度NaCl和PEG胁迫。低浓度NaCl或PEG胁迫下,费尔干猪毛菜去翅种子和具翅种子萌发率与对照无显著差异,高浓度NaCl或PEG处理下,去翅种子萌发率35%以上,显示较强的耐盐、耐旱性;盐旱耦合处理下,不同低浓度PEG能够显著缓解中浓度NaCl对种子萌发的抑制作用。②随NaCl浓度升高,具翅种子恢复萌发率逐渐上升,而去翅种子则维持较低水平;随着PEG浓度的升高,2种种子恢复萌发能力显著降低;盐旱耦合处理下2种种子的恢复萌发率与NaCl胁迫具有相同趋势。③NaCl或PEG对去翅种子幼苗的影响比具翅种子强,特别是PEG处理;随NaCl或PEG浓度升高,2种种子幼苗的株高和根长均降低;盐旱耦合处理下低浓度NaCl对去翅种子幼苗的影响比具翅种子小(除了100 mmol·L^-1NaCl+25 g·L^-1PEG处理),中浓度NaCl对去翅种子幼苗的影响比具翅种子强,高浓度NaCl处理下随PEG浓度升高,2种种子幼苗的株高和根长均降低。以上结果显示,费尔干猪毛菜在萌发期和幼苗期具有较强的耐盐耐旱性,盐旱耦合在一定程度上能够缓解盐离子毒害效应,这对其度过早期恶劣环境具有重要的生态学意义;果翅对种子在胁迫下进入次级休眠,从而补充土壤种子库起到重要作用。  相似文献

利用不同发芽处理研究菠菜种子的休眠和萌发特性,旨在解决菠菜种子发芽中的困难。结果表明:带果皮的菠菜种子在纸床和沙床上均难以萌发,在土床上的发芽率为85%;而去果皮的种子在纸床、砂床和土床上的发芽率为92%;完整菠菜种子的渗液显著抑制去果皮菠菜种子的萌发;低温处理可以打破休眠,提高种子的发芽率。菠菜果皮结构致密以及果皮内含有的抑制性物质是控制休眠的关键因素。  相似文献

采用培养皿法研究不同类型钠盐胁迫对荒漠植物盐爪爪种子萌发率、萌发指数、幼苗芽长和根长,分析盐爪爪种子萌发与幼苗生长适应不同类型盐碱地的机制,为种植盐爪爪生态修复不同类型盐碱地提供了科学依据。结果表明:(1)NaCl、Na2SO4、NaHCO3、Na2CO3均显著抑制盐爪爪种子的萌发率和萌发指数。(2)回归方程分析盐爪爪萌发期的耐NaCl、Na_2SO_4、NaHCO_3、Na_2CO_3临界值分别为325 mmol·L-1、267 mmol·L-1、245 mmol·L~(-1)和166 mmol·L~(-1),其极限值分别是671 mmol·L-1、580 mmol·L~(-1)、569 mmol·L~(-1)和389 mmol·L-1,相对于中性盐,盐爪爪种子萌发时对碱性盐更敏感。(3)NaCl、Na_2SO_4、NaHCO_3、Na_2CO_3均显著抑制盐爪爪幼苗芽和根的生长,盐爪爪种子萌发和幼苗生长对这4种钠盐的响应差异显著;相对于幼苗芽,幼苗根的响应更为敏感,可将根长作为评价盐爪爪耐盐性的参数,碱性盐毒害强于中性盐;根据盐分对盐爪爪种子萌发和幼苗生长的毒害性顺序依次为:NaClNa_2SO_4NaHCO_3Na_2CO_3。  相似文献

采用不同浓度的NaCl(中性盐)和Na2CO3(碱性盐)胁迫三种盐生植物盐地碱蓬、碱蓬和盐爪爪正在萌发的种子,以研究不同类型盐对种子萌发特性的影响.结果表明,随着两种盐浓度的升高,种子萌发率下降,萌发率与盐浓度间呈现显著的负相关关系;盐地碱蓬、碱蓬和盐爪爪种子萌发率与NaCl胁迫相关系数分别为0.9206、0.8989和0.8956,与Na2CO3胁迫相关系数分别为0.9148、0.7193和0.6327;蒸馏水中三种盐生植物种子萌发率最高,Na2CO3对种子萌发的抑制作用强于NaCl.  相似文献

龙葵种子具有休眠习性,采用合适的化学药剂能够打破龙葵种子休眠。H2O2、NaOH、HCl、KNO3、GA浸泡24 h,均能明显提高龙葵种子的萌发率。以2.25~36.00 g/L HCl浸种的萌发率最高,萌发率超过90.00%;40.00 g/L KNO3与200.00 mg/L GA浸种后,萌发率超过80.00%,已达到打破龙葵种子的休眠的目的。  相似文献

通过对浆果猪毛菜和钠猪毛菜种子在不同盐分、温度环境下的萌发过程与对策研究,结果表明:2种猪毛菜种子萌发的最佳温度约为25 ℃.浆果猪毛菜在蒸馏水中的萌发速度低于钠猪毛菜.浓度低于0.2 mol/L的NaC1溶液对萌发的影响不大;随NaCl浓度增高,浆果猪毛菜和钠猪毛菜种子萌发率降低.一定的盐分胁迫不影响种子萌发潜力,其萌发恢复率随原处理溶液抑制程度的增加而增加.同时,讨论了2种猪毛菜种子萌发特性与环境的关系.  相似文献

The leaching of phenolics from decoated seeds, seed coats and pericarps of hound's-tongue ( Cynoglossum officinale L.), factors affecting leaching, and seed germination and seedling growth inhibitory activities of the leachate were investigated. Embryonic axes and cotyledons contained a large amount of methanol-soluble phenolic substances. Decoated seeds released phenolics into an aqueous incubation medium and this solution was capable of inhibiting root elongation of several grassy and broadleaf species, but not of hound's-tongue. The leachate and the phenolic fraction of the leachate inhibited germination of bluebunch wheatgrass ( Pseudoroegnaria spicata (Pursh) A. Löve [syn. Agropyron spicatum (Pursh) Scribn. and J. G. Sm.]). The non-phenolic fraction of the leachate did not inhibit seed germination or root and shoot elongation of bluebunch wheatgrass. Low oxygen and an increasing temperature significantly increased the amount of phenolic substances leached from decoated seeds. Increased leaching of phenolic substances related to an increasing temperature was associated with the loss of seed viability. Further investigation of the role of water-extractable hound's-tongue seed phenolics in the interaction of this species with its biotic environment under field conditions is needed to determine the ecological significance of these findings.  相似文献

Seed dormancy and persistence in the soil seedbank play a key role in timing of germination and seedling emergence of weeds; thus, knowledge of these traits is required for effective weed management. We investigated seed dormancy and seed persistence on/in soil of Chenopodium hybridum, an annual invasive weed in north‐western China. Fresh seeds are physiologically dormant. Sulphuric acid scarification, mechanical scarification and cold stratification significantly increased germination percentages, whereas dry storage and treatments with plant growth regulators or nitrate had no effect. Dormancy was alleviated by piercing the seed coat but not the pericarp. Pre‐treatment of seeds collected in 2012 and 2013 with sulphuric acid for 30 min increased germination from 0% to 66% and 62% respectively. Effect of cold stratification on seed germination varied with soil moisture content (MC) and duration of treatment; seeds stratified in soil with 12% MC for 2 months germinated to 39%. Burial duration, burial depth and their interaction had significant effects on seed dormancy and seed viability. Dormancy in fresh seeds was released from October to February, and seeds re‐entered dormancy in April. Seed viability decreased with time for seeds on the soil surface and for those buried at a depth of 5 cm, and 39% and 10%, respectively, were viable after 22 months. Thus, C. hybridum can form at least a short‐lived persistent soil seedbank.  相似文献

Mimosa pudica (common sensitive plant) is a problematic weed in many crops in tropical countries. Eight experiments were conducted to determine the effects of light, seed scarification, temperature, salt and osmotic stress, pH, burial depth, and rice residue on the germination, seedling emergence, and dormancy of M. pudica seeds. Scarification released the seeds from dormancy and stimulated germination, though the germination of the scarified seeds was not influenced by light. The scarification results indicate that a hard seed coat is the primary mechanism that restricts germination. The germination increased markedly with the exposure to high temperature "pretreatment" (e.g. 150°C), which was achieved by placing non-scarified seeds in an oven for 5 min followed by incubation at 35/25°C day/night temperatures for 14 days. The germination of the scarified seeds was tolerant of salt and osmotic stress, as some seeds germinated even at 250 mmol L−1 NaCl (23%) and at an osmotic potential of −0.8 MPa (5%). The germination of the scarified seeds was >74% over a pH range of 5–10. The seedling emergence of the scarified seeds was 73–88% at depths of 0–2 cm and it gradually decreased with an increasing depth, with no seedling emergence at the 8 cm depth. The rice residue applied to the soil surface at rates of ≤6 t ha−1 did not influence the seedling emergence and dry weight. The information gained from this study identifies some of the factors that facilitate M. pudica becoming a widespread weed in the humid tropics and might help in developing components of integrated weed management practises to control this weed.  相似文献

The effects of concentrated sulphuric acid, dry heat, hot water and NaOCl treatments on the germinability of dormant large and small aerial Commelina benghalensis L. seeds were evaluated. Concentrated sulphuric acid and NaOCl treatments were more effective than the dry heat and hot water treatments in breaking the dormancy of C. benghalensis aerial seeds. Treatments increased germination of both seed types due to its effect on the seed coat integrity. A scanning electron microscope revealed that changes as a result of scarification occurred in the hilum region of the seed and in the seed coat surface. The large aerial seeds were affected by all treatments more than the small aerial seeds. Difference in germinability between the two seed types was related to the difference in their seed vigour.  相似文献

为揭示濒危植物阜康阿魏(Ferula fukanensis Shen.)种子休眠的成因,对阜康阿魏种子分别采用流水漂洗处理后的发芽试验、蒸馏水和NaHCO3溶液浸提液以及化学法提取生物碱中的小麦种子萌发实验,并观察蒸馏水和NaHCO3浸泡阿魏种子对介质pH的影响等,综合分析阿魏种子休眠的成因。流水浸洗处理5 d和20 d的发芽率分别为77%和85%以上,较对照(47%)有显著提高(P<0.01);NaHCO3浸提液对小麦种子萌发的抑制作用显著高于蒸馏水浸提液;用pH较高的NaHCO3溶液和蒸馏水浸泡阿魏种子,该介质的pH向8.0~8.3收敛;化学法提取生物碱对小麦发芽有显著抑制作用,当10 g·(100mL)-1时抑制率达80%。实验结果显示,除脱落酸(ABA)外,还有生物碱在阿魏种子休眠的调控中起重要作用。  相似文献

为探讨菊科入侵植物种子的繁殖特性,从种子的形态特征及种子萌发率等指标入手,对胜红蓟(Ageratum conyzoide)、白花鬼针草(Bidens alba)及假臭草(Eupatorium catarium)3种菊科入侵植物的种子特性进行比较研究。结果表明,白花鬼针草种子的冠毛芒最短及最少,沉降速度最大,种子的风媒传播能力最弱,但种子全身具长倒钩刺,主要通过人畜和货物等实现远距离散播。假臭草种子冠毛芒较胜红蓟的长和多,种子沉降速度较胜红蓟的小,其风媒传播能力较胜红蓟的强。白花鬼针草种子千粒质量、发芽指数、胚根、胚芽和胚轴均最大或最长,发芽率和发芽势也较高,其种子质量和种子活力为三者中最高。假臭草的千粒质量、胚根、胚芽和胚轴与胜红蓟无显著差异,但发芽势及发芽指数均显著高于胜红蓟,说明假臭草种子活力较胜红蓟的高。假臭草发芽率为三者中最小,这可能与其种子含水率(19%)高有关,高含水率隐含着种子在潮湿环境下易发生霉变。胜红蓟种子除了发芽率较高外,千粒质量、发芽势、发芽指数、胚根、胚芽和胚轴等指标均较小或大,反映其种子质量和活力较小。  相似文献

For a plant species to complete its life cycle in arid and saline environments, each stage of the life cycle must be tolerant to the harsh environmental conditions. The aim of the study was to determine the effects of water stress (water potentials of -0.05, -0.16, -0.33, -0.56, -0.85 and -1.21 MPa) and NaCl stress (50, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 mmol/L NaCl) on seed germination percentage, seedling survival and growth, juvenile growth and plant reproduction of Lachnoloma lehmannii Bunge (Brassicaceae), an cold desert annual that grows in the Junggar Basin of Xinjiang, China in 2010. Results indicated that low water stress (-0.05 and -0.16 MPa) had no significant effect on seed germination percentage. With a decrease in water potential, germination percentage decreased, and no seeds germinated at -0.85 and -1.21 MPa water stresses. Germination percentage of seeds was significantly affected by NaCl stress, and higher germination percentages were observed under non-saline than saline conditions. An increase in NaCl concentrations progressively inhibited seed germination percentage, and no seeds germinated at ≥400 mmol/L NaCl concentration. Non-germinated seeds were transferred from both PEG (polyethylene glycol-6000) and NaCl solutions to distilled water for seed germination recovery. The number of surviving seedlings and their heights and root lengths significantly decreased as NaCl stress increased. About 30% of the plants survived and produced fruits/seeds at 200 mmol/L NaCl concentration. Thus, seed germination, seedling establishment and reproductive stage in the life cycle of L. lehmannii are water- and salt-tolerant, with seedlings being the least tolerant. These tolerances help explain why this species can survive and produce seeds in arid and saline habitats.  相似文献

Summary. Seed coat structures may play a major role in determining the germination of seeds. The involvement of seed coat characteristics in the inhibition of germination observed when dry seeds of Datura ferox L. and D. stramonium L., were rinsed or soaked in water for 1–5 min ('soaking effect') was investigated. Germination was inhibited by soaking D. ferox seeds even at late stages of the germination process up to one day before root protrusion. Simulation of the 'soaking effect' was achieved by blocking the hilum with lanolin, enamel lacquer or agar during imbibition. Blocking the hilum did not prevent water uptake by the seeds. Seed coat integrity was necessary for the 'soaking effect' since germination inhibition was eliminated by removing or cracking the seed coat. Drying the seeds up to 12 h after soaking reversed the inhibitory effect. SEM observations of both species revealed a loose outer parenchymatous tissue covering the hilum, an inner spongy tissue between the nucellus and the hilum and a space between the seed coat and the nucellus. We concluded that during soaking, water is trapped in the space between the seed coat and the nucellus, and in the intracellular spaces of the spongy tissue within the hilum. This water 'plug' may limit the diffusion of gas(es) to and from the embryo through the hilum, thus inhibiting germination.  相似文献

The effect of temperature on the germination response of two categories of morphologically different seeds of Cassia tora L. was investigated. Germination response of dormant seeds (category A with closed ultraastructures) was not affected by temperature, as 96% of the seeds germinated at all temperatures on scarification. On the other hand, non-dormant seeds (category B with open ultrastructures) were temperature sensitive and germinated best at 32°C. However, storage affected the germination responses of both types. While the category A seeds lost moisture gradually with storage time and retained viability for a longer period, i.e. 2 years, the moisture loss in category B seeds was noted only after 2 years and the seed viability was retained for only 1 year. The production of two morphologically and physiologically distinct types of seed simultaneously by C. tora is probably an ecological adaptation for progressive emergence of the species over long periods in the field.  相似文献

Common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.) is one of the annual plants that were described recently as invasive weeds in Europe. This species is described as an invasive plant that produces seeds that are highly variable. Its production of variably sized seeds is regarded as promoting its spread in different environments. Experiments were carried out to determine the influence of the seed weight and temperature on germination and the influence of the seed weight and burial depth on seedling emergence. The seeds were divided into a number of classes of weight and the seed weight effect on germination was evaluated by Petri dish assays. In another experiment, the seeds were buried at different depths in a clay soil/sand mix to estimate the burial effect on germination and seedling emergence. The germination level of A. artemisiifolia was high overall, between 76.8% and 94.2%. The seed germination was modified by temperature but it was not influenced by the seed weight. The amounts of germination and seedling emergence were greater for the seeds on the soil surface and decreased with an increasing burial depth, from 2 to 8 cm. No germination or emergence was observed for the seeds that were buried at 10 and 12 cm. The lightest seeds were more sensitive to burial. A greater level of seedling emergence for those seeds that were placed near the soil surface could explain the success of this species in open habitats, where the probability of deeper burial is low. After high seed production, the management of A. artemisiifolia in fields could be partly achieved through soil tillage, burying seeds below 10 cm, and not carrying out deep soil tillage the following year.  相似文献
