A root bioassay was used to determine the effect of various soils, and the chloride salts of Fe+++, Fe++, Al +++, Ca ++, K +, and Na+ on the activity of glyphosate (N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine]. Mineral soils significantly reduced the inhibitory effects of glyphosate on root growth. One muck soil inactivated glyphosate, but another muck soil and bentonite clay had little effect. Soils with the greatest inactivation capabilities had high concentrations of weak-acid-extractable iron. Glyphosate inactivation showed no correlation between cation exchange capacity and organic matter of the muck soils. FeCl3, FeCl2 and AlCl3, significantly reduced the activity of glyphosate, and, when allowed to stand in solution, combinations of FeCl3 and glyphosate formed a precipitate. CaCl2, KCl and NaCl did not inactivate glyphosate. Mineralische Böden verringerten signifkant den Hemmeffekt von Glyphosat auf das Wurzelwachstum. Durch einen der organischen Böden wurde Glyphoat inaktiviert, ein anderer und das Tonmineral Bentonit, wirkten jedoch nur wenig inaktivierend. Böden mit der stärksten Inaktivierungsfähigkeit besassen hohe Konzentrationen an mit schwacher Säure extrahierbarem Eisen. Die Inaktivierung von Glyphosat war nicht mil der Kationen-Austauschkapazität und dem Gehalt der Böden an organischer Substanz korreliert Durch FeCl3, FeCl2 und AlCl3 wurde die Aktivitat von Glyphosat signifikant verringert. Wenn FeCl3 und Glyphosat in Lösung zusammengebracht wurden, bildete sich beim Stehenlassen dieser Kombination ein Niederschlag. 针对西北地区日光温室作物出现的缺镁问题,通过施用不同水平的硫酸镁肥及减少钾肥施用处理,探究钾、钙、镁离子在土壤固相和液相的分布及比例。得出以下结论:土壤液相镁浓度随着镁肥施用量的增加而显著增加,施用45 kg·hm~(-2)MgSO_4(400 kg·hm~(-2)K_2O)处理和施用90 kg·hm~(-2)MgSO_4(400 kg·hm~(-2)K_2O)处理镁浓度相比不施用MgSO_4处理分别增加26.64%、74.78%;相比不施用MgSO_4处理,施用镁肥后土壤液相Mg~(2+)占K~+、Ca~(2+)、Mg~(2+)总量的比例显著增加,施用45 kg·hm~(-2)MgSO_4(400 kg·hm~(-2)K_2O)处理、施用90 kg·hm~(-2)MgSO_4(400 kg·hm~(-2)K_2O)处理和施用90 kg·hm~(-2)MgSO_4(200 kg·hm~(-2)K_2O)处理分别增加32.03%、31.62%、32.84%;施用镁肥促进钾由固相向液相转移;相比不施用MgSO_4处理,施用45、90 kg·hm~(-2)MgSO_4处理土壤固相交换性钾含量分别降低15.78%、27.74%,差异达到显著水平;交换性钾饱和度分别降低13.39%、27.21%;液相钾浓度显著增加,分别增加18.84%、73.91%;K+占K+、Ca~(2+)、Mg~(2+)总量的比例显著增加,增幅分别为23.91%、31.21%;土壤固相K+/Mg~(2+)比例分别降低14.52%、26.61%,;土壤液相Ca~(2+)/Mg~(2+)比例显著降低,降幅分别为31.51%、32.29%;施用MgSO_4肥量相同,钾肥施用量减半,土壤液相钾浓度降低69.88%,K+/Mg~(2+)比例降低20.88%;施用镁肥对番茄具有一定的增产作用,并能促进作物对镁的吸收。  相似文献

The isolated rat neurophypophysis, which shows a calcium-dependent hormone release when depolarized in vitro was used as a model system to investigate the effects of the pyrethroids decamethrin and resmethrin on mammalian nervous tissue. Both compounds inhibited neurohypophysial hormone release in response to electrical stimulation, decamethrin being more potent than resmethrin. Decamethrin reduced the hormone content of the neurohypophysis. Resmethrin did not reduce stored hormone significantly and its effects on release were dose dependent. They could be mimicked by raising the [Na+] of the medium but not by lowering the [Ca2+]. Resmethrin had no effect on the release of hormone following depolarization of the tissue with a raised [K+]. The results are consistent with the suggestion that the compounds do not act on the potential-dependent secretion process but rather on the mechanism linking depolarization of the secretory terminals with the arrival of action potentials possibly by interfering with sodium-channel activation and inactivation.  相似文献

塔里木河流域水化学组成分布特征   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
于2010年6月对塔里木河干流及主要支流地表水进行水化学采样,共设25个点采集50个样品。分析表明:塔里木河干流水体中阳离子Na++K+>Ca2+>Mg2+,与南北侧支流Na++K+>Mg2+>Ca2+存在显著差异,但均以Na++K+为主,阳离子浓度分别占干流、南北侧支流的68.6%、62.6%和62.5%。与1965年对应采样点同月份水化学成分相比,塔里木河流域主要可溶性离子浓度增幅较大,整体平均增加8.0倍,尤其是Cl-达21.7倍,这可能是近年来塔里木河流域气温上升降水增加等自然因素,间接促进降水过程中水化学侵蚀地表可溶性物质所致。同时,流域内工农业快速发展,生活污水、工农业废水大量排放到塔里木河,这可能是影响塔里木河水质变化的重要因素之一。  相似文献

采用田间试验对不同灌水处理灌水后玉米地(天津滨海盐碱地)0~60 cm土层土壤K+/Na+、Ca2+/Na+及玉米干物质累积量进行研究,共设计4个处理,分别为LI10(常规滴灌,灌水10 mm)、LI20(常规滴灌,灌水20 mm)、FI10(膜下滴灌,灌水10 mm)和FI20(膜下滴灌,灌水20 mm)。结果表明:灌水后不同灌水方式下灌水量较大的处理0~60 cm各土层K+/Na+均大于灌水量较小的处理,且均表现出0~20 cm土层K+/Na+较大,40~60 cm土层K+/Na+较小;相同灌水量下膜下滴灌处理0~60 cm各土层Ca2+/Na+均较大,灌水后不同灌水处理0~60 cm各土层Ca2+/Na+差异较小,变化范围为0.10~0.22;FI20处理0~20 cm土层K+/Na+和Ca2+/Na+大于其他处理,分别达到0.78和0.22;随着灌水次数的增多,LI20和FI10处理0~20 cm土层K+/Na+和Ca2+/Na+均逐渐增大,LI10处理则均逐渐减小;灌水后各处理之间0~60 cm各土层K+/Na+和Ca2+/Na+差异均达显著水平;全生育期干物质累积量与其对应的0~20 cm土层(K+/Na+)/Ca2+二次拟合相关系数均达0.90以上,相同(K+/Na+)/Ca2+下,FI20处理干物质累积量始终最大,LI10处理始终最小;(K+/Na+)/Ca2+>1.72时,各处理干物质累积量均随(K+/Na+)/Ca2+的增大而增大。  相似文献

Glyphosate‐resistant Palmer amaranth from Georgia (GA), USA, possesses multiple copies of the gene that encodes 5‐enolpyruvylshikimate‐3‐phosphate synthase (EPSPS), the enzyme target site of this herbicide. The cloned plants of glyphosate‐resistant and glyphosate‐susceptible Palmer amaranth biotypes from Mississippi (MS), USA, and GA were evaluated for glyphosate injury (digital imaging) in leaf disc bioassays. Four groups (three resistant groups: two from MS [G and R] and one from GA [C7]; one susceptible group from GA [C3]) were chosen for cloning to facilitate long‐term studies. After exposure to glyphosate (1.0 mmol L–1, 144 h), the level of injury (mean value) was low in the resistant groups, while a higher level of injury was found in the susceptible group. However, the individual injury values within all groups varied widely. The mean EPSPS gene copy number of these groups was G ≥ R > C7 >>> C3. However, a higher copy number did not always convey increased resistance in these bioassays. When the copy number was high (>20), 81.5% of the bioassayed plants exhibited little or no injury and only ~20% were significantly injured, while 50% of the plants with a low copy number (<20) remained healthy. Overall, no strong statistical correlation of the copy number versus injury occurred in these cloned plants and no statistical relationship of resistance and copy number with the sex of the MS plants was observed. The results suggest that although an elevated copy number of the EPSPS gene can instill resistance, other mechanisms might contribute to the overall glyphosate resistance of Palmer amaranth in these plants.  相似文献

Calcium ion in hydroponic solution with glyphosate [N-phosphonomethyl (glycine)] did not significantly influence the efficacy of the herbicide in reducing growth of soybean (Glycine max) seedlings. Data from atomic absorption spectroscopy studies revealed that glyphosate reduced Ca2+ uptake and translocation, whether supplied alone or with other metal ions. Results with radiolabelled 45Ca2+ indicated that glyphosate severely retards translocation of Ca2+ from the roots to the leaves and cotyledons but the effect is not detectable until 24 h after exposure to glyphosate. Des données fournies par la spectroscopie d'absorption atomique montrent que le glyphosate reduit l'absorption et le mouvement des ions Ca2+ seuls ou en présence d'ionsd'autresmétaux. Les résultats obtenus avec des ions marqués 45Ca2+ révèlent que le glyphosate retarde notablement le mouvement des ions Ca2+ entre les racines et les feuilles ou les cotylédons mais cet effct n'est pas détectable avant une péríode de 24h suivant l'exposition au glyphosate.  相似文献

Glyphosate efficacy was examined in young velvetleaf plants from the standpoint of its tissue distribution and sensitivity. In whole plant assays, manual application of a sub-lethal dose to the first leaf resulted only in meristem injury while other tissues remained visually healthy. Our studies showed that this differential tissue response was caused by a combination of differential distribution as well as sensitivity to glyphosate. Using [14C]glyphosate, we measured tissue injury and glyphosate residue, and calculated tissue threshold for 50% growth inhibition. Our studies showed that roots and meristem have high glyphosate distribution (45 and 34% of translocated, respectively) and low inhibition thresholds (0.23 and 0.21 ppm, respectively) resulting in tissues that were easily killed by glyphosate. In contrast, the base stem contained a much higher inhibition threshold (8.4 ppm) with only intermediate distribution (10%) resulting in a tissue that was most difficult to kill. We observed a linear relationship between glyphosate dose and tissue concentration; furthermore, tissue distribution pattern was independent of dose or surfactants class. At a sub-lethal dose, sensitive tissues that received a large distribution of glyphosate were preferentially killed. As the dose was increased, more glyphosate was available for distribution, and all tissues received a proportionately greater amount of glyphosate. Plant death occurred when the applied dose was sufficient to attain the lethal threshold in all tissues.  相似文献

应用地统计学的半方差分析和Kriging空间插值,以新疆第二师三十一团灌区为例,分析了塔里木河下游绿洲灌区不同深度土壤全盐及盐基离子的空间变异特征与分布规律。结果表明:研究区春季土壤总体呈碱性,各土层阴离子均以SO■为主,阳离子均以K~+和Na~+为主,灌区内根域层(0~60 cm)土壤盐分、Ca~(2+)、Cl~-的半方差函数模型符合高斯模型,Mg~(2+)、K~++Na~+符合球状模型,深层(60~100 cm)土壤盐分、HCO~-_3、SO■符合指数模型,各变量空间自相关范围差异较大。盐分分布特征受人类活动和地势、水源的影响较大,根域层(0~60 cm)土壤盐分含量呈现由西北部向东南部逐渐升高的趋势,变化范围在2.28~3.27 g·kg~(-1)之间,深层(60~100 cm)土壤盐分含量呈现由西北部向东南部逐渐降低的趋势,变化范围在2.31~4.63 g·kg~(-1)之间。HCO~-_3在整体上与根域层(0~60 cm)土壤盐分含量分布特征相同,其它各离子含量无明显变化规律。灌区内土壤盐分垂直分布的总趋势大致相同,根域层(0~60 cm)土壤含盐量与深层(60~100 cm)土壤含盐量差异不大,变化范围在2.28~4.63 g·kg~(-1)之间。  相似文献

Research has shown the occurrence of the hormesis effect in some upland rice cultures resulting from low-dose application of glyphosate. Glyphosate herbicide is widely used in Brazilian agriculture for controlling the large quantity of weeds. The aim of this work was to verify the effects of low-dose application of glyphosate herbicide on agronomic characteristics in upland rice. The experimental design used was randomized blocks comprising five low-dose applications of glyphosate herbicide (10, 20, 40, 70, and 100?g acid equivalent [a.e.] ha?1) and the control, in two stages of development of the rice culture (tillering [V4] and floral differentiation [R1]) with four repetitions. The agronomic traits of upland rice were evaluated. Data were subjected to variance analysis, polynomial regression analysis for the quantitative factor, and Tukey’s test for the qualitative factor at p?<?0.05. The grain yield and the number of spikelets per panicle increased with the application of 10?g a.e. ha?1 of glyphosate at the floral differentiation stage. Until the low dose of 75?g a.e. ha?1, there was an increase in the number of panicles. Low doses between 70 and 100?g a.e. ha?1 applied in R1 provided less spikelets per panicle, lower 100-grain weight, and lower grain yield. The leaf flavonoid content increased due to the increase in the low doses of glyphosate herbicide.

Glyphosate has been associated with control failures for Spermacoce verticillata in some Brazilian States. The objective of this work was to evaluate and determine the possible causes of this and propose alternative herbicides to use. Glyphosate was applied at three plant stages of development (2–4 leaves, 4–6 leaves and full bloom) where foliar absorption and translocation of glyphosate to various plants parts and time were analysed using the 14C technique. Data were submitted to nonlinear regressions and analysis of variance, where means were compared by a Tukey test at 5% probability. Plant control by the application of different herbicides (19) in the same three stages of development of weed was evaluated. Twenty‐one days after herbicide application, control was visually evaluated and data analysed and means were compared. Due to absorption and/or translocation problems, S. verticillata plants were not controlled by glyphosate. Plants with 4–6 leaves showed lower absorption and translocation of the herbicide to the leaf/root regions compared with plants at the beginning of their development. Plants at full bloom showed lower translocation of the herbicide to the root. In addition to the application of glyphosate at early stages of development, the application of paraquat, flumioxazin and mixtures of glyphosate with flumioxazin or cloransulam is recommended. Late applications could result in poor control, principally if glyphosate is used. Therefore, early applications are strongly recommended for control of this species.  相似文献

The mode of action of DDT and pyrethroids was investigated in the house fly, Musca domestica L, using drug:receptor binding techniques. Both in vivo and in vitro binding studies demonstrated the existence of membrane receptors which bind specifically to [14C]DDT and [14C]cis-permethrin. The receptors show properties to be expected of a critical target site of these insecticides. These include negative temperature correlation with binding, relatively nonsensitivity to DDE, and sensitivity to Ca2+. The receptor sites are readily saturated at 45–90 nM [14C]DDT and have an apparent disassociation constant (Kd) of 12.2 nM. The maximum number of binding sites was estimated to be 17 pmol DDT/mg membrane protein (0.34 pmol/house fly head). Competition studies showed DDT, cis-permethrin, and cypermethrin bind to the same receptor but not at precisely the same site. The addition of Ca2+ to the incubation buffer significantly inhibited the binding of both [14C]DDT and [14C]cis-permethrin, suggesting the receptor binding is Ca2+ sensitive and may have a role in ion conductance.  相似文献

选取2个玉米品种(金玉819和金单999),探讨了3种盐胁迫(NaCl、Na_2SO_4和NaNO_3)对玉米幼苗生长、抗氧化酶活性以及叶片中K~+、Na~+、Ca~(2+)累积的影响。结果表明:3种不同类型的盐胁迫均会导致玉米幼苗鲜重下降,地上部鲜重金玉819下降超过28.6%,金单999下降超过18%;盐胁迫下金玉819叶片SOD酶活上升2.1倍以上, POD酶活性最高上升4.5倍,APX最高上升2.1倍,CAT最高上升2.2倍;金单999叶片SOD酶活最高上升2.1倍,APX最高上升1.6倍,CAT最高上升1.9倍。2个基因型玉米胁迫下叶片内Na~+含量上升4.5~6.3倍;NaCl和NaNO_3处理下,K~+/Na~+比对照降低90%~93%,而Na_2SO_4处理下K~+/Na~+下降78%~82%,金玉819和金单999的Ca~(2+)/Na~+比对照分别降低了85%~90%和92%~94%。综合分析表明NO~-_3引起的次生盐害对玉米生产危害较大。与金单999相比,金玉819对盐胁迫更加敏感,相同Na~+浓度处理下,金玉819的鲜重和SOD酶活性下降显著且拥有较低的K~+/Na~+和Ca~(2+)/Na~+值。  相似文献

为探讨不同阳离子组成微咸水灌溉对膜下土壤孔隙结构的影响,开展2a田间定位试验,设置当地地下水灌溉(CK)、NaCl微咸水灌溉(T1)、KCl微咸水灌溉(T2)、CaCl2微咸水灌溉(T3)、MgCl2微咸水灌溉(T4)5个处理,利用CT扫描技术研究不同阳离子组成微咸水对土壤孔隙结构的影响。结果表明:与CK处理相比,随灌水次数增多,添加Na+处理的土壤大孔隙度显著降低,添加K+、Ca2+、Mg2+处理的土壤大孔隙度显著增加,2022年添加Na+处理的大孔隙度平均降低了44.49%,添加K+、Ca2+、Mg2+处理的土壤大孔隙度平均分别增加了5.73%、80.73%、25.75%;在2021—2022年期间,与CK相比,4种不同阳离子处理土壤孔隙成圆率均呈增加趋势,其中添加Ca2+、Mg2+处理增加显著,土壤孔隙成圆率平均增加区间分别为25.52%~30.94%、17.46%~23.19%;连续灌溉2a之后,添加Na+和K+处理的土壤开裂程度加重,土壤稳定性变差,而添加Ca2+和Mg2+对改善土壤结构、提高土壤入渗性能作用明显。  相似文献

A series of 25 pyrethroids were assessed for their effects on Na+-dependent norepinephrine release and on Ca2+ uptake in vitro using a crude rat brain synaptosomal preparation. The most effective pyrethroids required a concentration of 3–10 μM to promote norepinephrine release. Plotting release data versus lipophilicity (as log P) for each compound resulted in a parabolic curve with log Popt being 5.4 for maximal release. The release promoted by most of the compounds assessed at 30 μM could not be or was only partially reversed by either tetrodotoxin or substituting choline for Na+ conditions which readily reversed the release promoting effects of veratridine. Thus, many pyrethroids, particularly those without the α-cyano group, did not display their expected effects on the Na+ channel in rat brain. When assessed at 5 μM, pyrethroids inhibited, had no effect, or caused increases in the amount of Ca2+ incorporated in the presence of ATP. The effectiveness of the various pyrethroids to inhibit Ca2+ uptake again displayed a parabolic relationship with log Popt being 6.4. It was concluded that the variations in pyrethroid effects on norepinephrine release and Ca2+ uptake are not solely related to their particular chemical structures, but to lipophilicity. The effects of many pyrethroids on Ca2+ metabolism, particularly displacement of bound Ca2+, better explain the transmitter release promoting properties in vitro rather than a direct effect on the Na+ channel. No direct relationship between known toxicity to mammals and Ca2+ inhibition by pyrethroids was established.  相似文献

Distribution of [14C]glyphosate was examined in mature glyphosate-resistant cotton plants at the 13-node stage in the absence of phytotoxicity. Initial experiments employed manual application of glyphosate to individual leaves within a relatively immature (Node 9) or mature (Node 5) sympodium (i.e., fruiting node) in the plant. We measured glyphosate export out of the treated leaf to the fruiting structures and foliage in the sympodium as well as out of the sympodium into the plant. Application to the Stem leaf, Leaf 1 or Leaf 2 in Node 9 showed 30-37% glyphosate export by 14 days after treatment. While Stem leaf exported mainly to the plant, Leaves 1 and 2 exported equally between the plant and the sympodium. Within the sympodium, glyphosate was distributed almost entirely to the fruiting structures with Boll 1 containing the highest level irrespective of the treated leaf. In Node 5, application to the Stem leaf or Leaves 1-3 showed overall lower glyphosate export (20-27%) with Stem leaf and Leaf 3 exporting mainly to the plant, and Leaves 1 and 2 exporting mainly to the sympodium. Within Node 5, the subtending boll of the treated leaf was not the main distribution target, but instead the boll at the next higher sympodial position relative to the treated leaf. Subsequent studies were conducted using over-the-top spray application of [14C]glyphosate at field use-rates in mature plants at the 13-node stage. Analysis of open bolls at full maturity showed high residues in seeds and fiber of Bolls 1 and 2 in the mature sympodia. Our results suggest that glyphosate distribution in mature plants was affected by sympodial age, position of the treated leaf, and position and sink strength of the bolls.  相似文献

The influence of nonylphenoxy surfactants and glyphosate salt formulation on spray retention, phytotoxicity and [14C]glyphosate uptake was investigated in wheat (Triticum aestivum L). and Kochia scoparia L. The amount of spray retained, and uptake of [14C]glyphosate increased with increasing hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) value of surfactants. The volume of spray delivered to the plant treatment area and retained by wheat and K. scoparia plants increased with increasing surfactant HLB values, but this only partly accounted for the higher spray retention. Spray retention by leaves of plants was not affected by calcium chloride, either alone or with ammonium sulphate in the glyphosate spray solution. [14C]Glyphosate absorption by wheat and K. scoparia was reduced by calcium chloride alone, but not in mixtures with ammonium sulphate, regardless of surfactant. Phytotoxicity and uptake of glyphosate salt formulations for wheat was: isopropylamine > ammonium > sodium > calcium; these results indicate that the surfactant selected is important to maintain glyphosate efficacy and that sodium and calcium cations antagonize glyphosate by forming salts that are absorbed less than commercial isopropylamine formulations.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Glyphosate is a non‐selective, foliar‐applied, systemic herbicide that kills weeds by inhibiting the synthesis of 5‐enolpyruvylshikimate‐3‐phosphate synthase. Urea phosphate (UPP), made by the reaction of urea with phosphoric acid, was applied as an adjuvant for glyphosate in this study. Experiments in the greenhouse and the field were conducted to determine the effects of UPP by comparing the efficacies of glyphosate plus UPP, glyphosate plus 1‐aminomethanamide dihydrogen tetraoxosulfate (AMADS) and Roundup. RESULTS: The optimum concentration of UPP in glyphosate solution was 2.0% when UPP was used as an adjuvant. The ED50 values for glyphosate‐UPP were 291.7 and 462.4 g AI ha?1 in the greenhouse and the field respectively, while the values for Roundup were 448.2 and 519.6 g AI ha?1. The ED50 values at 2 weeks after treatment (WAT) and 3 WAT were lowered when UPP was used as an adjuvant in the greenhouse and field study, and the glyphosate + UPP was absorbed over a 2 week period. UPP may increase the efficacy by causing severe cuticle disruption or accelerating the initial herbicide absorption. The result also showed that UPP could reduce the binding behaviour of Ca2+ to glyphosate. CONCLUSION: The application of UPP as an adjuvant could increase the efficacy of glyphosate and make it possible to achieve effective control of weeds with glyphosate at lower dose. Moreover, UPP showed less causticity to spraying tools and presented less of a health hazard. Therefore, UPP is accepted as being a new, effective and environmentally benign adjuvant for glyphosate. was sprayed at 0009–1·12 kg a.i. ha?1 on the foliage of large potted glasshouse-grown Canada thistle [Cirsium arvense (L.) Scop.], which had extensive, well-developed roots. Increasing the glyphosate rate progressively reduced the total number of visible adventitious root buds plus emerged secondary shoots per plant proportionately more than root biomass, 10 days after treatment. Cortical tissue of thickened propagative roots became soft, water-soaked, darkened, and some regions decomposed, exposing strands of vascular tissue. Lateral roots completely decomposed. When thickened roots were segmented to stimulate secondary shoot emergence from root buds 10 days after foliar treatment, Fewer secondary shoots emerged than expected from the number of visible adventitious root buds present on both control and herbicide-treated plants. Increasing the rate of glyphosate also reduced the regrowth potential of root buds proportionately more than root biomass. Regrowth potential was measured as the number of emerged secondary shoots 35 days after segmenting unearthed roots from plants that had been sprayed 10 days earlier. When foliar-applied at 0·28 kg ha?1, glyphosate decreased the regrowth potential of root buds to zero in 2 and 3 days, as measured by secondary shoot dry weight and number, respectively, even though root fresh weight was unchanged 3 days after foliar treatment. These dose-response and time-course experiments demonstrate that glyphosate did not reduce root biomass as much as it decreased root bud numbers and secondary shoot regrowth potential from root buds.  相似文献

Freshwater fish, Channa punctatus, commonly known as the snakehead fish, was exposed to two sublethal concentrations (0.96 and 1.86 mg/L) (selected on the basis of 1/20 and 1/10 of 96 h LC50 value) of monocrotophos for two exposure periods (15 and 60 days). Effects of monocrotophos on Na+, K+-ATPase in liver, kidney, muscle, intestine, brain, heart and gills were determined. Results indicate that Na+, K+-ATPase activity in tissues decreased as concentration of monocrotophos and exposure period increased. Monocrotophos induced significant inhibitory effects on the Na+, K+-ATPase activity of C. punctatus, ranging from gills (70%) > Kidney (63%) > brain (57%) > intestine (52%) > liver (50%) > muscle (47%) > heart (44%) inhibition at a sublethal concentration of 0.96 mg/L. Significant inhibition was detected in Na+, K+-ATPase activity, ranging from gills (90%) > heart (78%) > kidney (78%) > muscle (74%) > intestine (71%) > brain (67%) > liver (63%) at sublethal concentration of 1.86 mg/L. After subacute exposure (15 days) only gills and brain showed significant inhibition after higher concentration (1.86 mg/L). However, it is evident that exposure duration is more important than dose in the inhibition of the activity of enzyme. At lower concentration initial stimulation of the activity of Na+, K+-ATPase activity was also noticed. It is suggested that the inhibition of the ATPase by monocrotophos blocked the active transport system of the gill epithelial as well as chloride cells, glomerular and epithelial cells of the tubules and thus altered the osmoregulatory mechanism of the fish. In fact, the impairment of the activity of enzymes which carry out key physiological roles could cause alterations of the physiology of the whole organism.  相似文献
