根据1985—2013年日本秋刀鱼(Cololabis saira)生产数据,结合海表温度(sea surface temperature,SST)、海表温度距平值(sea surface temperature anomaly,SSTA)及亲潮、黑潮环境数据,探究太平洋年代际振荡(Pacific decadal oscillation,PDO)冷、暖2种气候模态下秋刀鱼产卵场、索饵场海况特征及资源丰度差异。结果表明,PDO暖期内单位捕捞量努力量(catch per unit effect,CPUE)略高于冷期,另CPUE与PDO指数存在滞后关系,且前者滞后于后者3年时相关系数最大(– 0.318);PDO冷、暖模态转换对索饵场SST影响较产卵场大(P<0.05),产卵场及索饵场SSTA与PDO指数间均呈负相关性,滞后时间分别为 –1和0年时相关系数最大;PDO暖期内黑潮经向流量年间变化率低于冷期,冷、暖2种模态下亲潮春季占有面积存在显著差异(P<0.01),且冷、暖模态转换对亲潮影响程度大于黑潮。研究表明,2种气候模态通过影响秋刀鱼产卵场及索饵场的海表温、海况环境,进而对西北太平洋秋刀鱼资源量产生年间波动影响。  相似文献

以遥感夜间灯光数据为基础的西北太平洋秋刀鱼渔船识别   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
研究和开发利用大洋性生物资源是实现我国海洋渔业可持续发展的重大战略需求,西北太平洋秋刀鱼是近年来我国重点开发的大洋性渔业资源之一,因此利用卫星来监测渔船时空分布动态成为了解秋刀鱼渔业资源变动的重要数据源。本研究采用峰值检测和阈值分割等方法对西北太平洋夜间灯光数据进行识别,利用地理信息系统技术对渔船位置信息和数量进行提取分析。通过西北太平洋秋刀鱼资源调查的渔捞日志和经过筛选的北太平洋渔业委员会(NPFC)渔船列表数据对识别结果进行验证。结果显示,本研究所用的夜间灯光渔船识别方法可以精确识别西北太平洋密集作业及外围分散作业的秋刀鱼渔船。以此为基础可以有效地分析秋刀鱼渔场的时空变动。结合美国国家海洋和大气管理局(NOAA)提供的海表温度(SST)数据绘制等温线,进一步分析作业渔场的时空变化,发现夜间灯光渔船作业的温度范围随着秋刀鱼洄游而变化。2016年7—9月渔场的SST波动较大是因为这一时期秋刀鱼在黑潮—亲潮广泛的交汇区域洄游,分布更为广泛,9月之后作业渔场SST变动趋于稳定。该研究结果将来会对远洋渔场环境实时变化、鱼群分布预测、渔船动态及法律支撑等提供有效信息。  相似文献

西北太平洋公海秋刀鱼夏季索饵场浮游动物的分布   总被引:2,自引:1,他引:1

根据2005年7-9月于西北太平洋公海秋刀鱼渔场所采集到的浮游动物的有关数据,对调查海域表层浮游动物的组成、数量和分布进行了研究。在30个站点所采集的浮游动物样品中,分别测得甲壳纲、矢足纲、原生动物、腔肠动物的25种代表种,其中以桡足类、箭虫类、端足类、糠虾类和磷虾类的平均丰度最高。浮游动物生物量分布不均匀,近专属经济区和 46º30´N以北各站点的生物量较高,站点平均值为430.06±251.18 mg/m^3,超过500 mg/m^3的站点共有11个。分别利用灰色关联和胃含物法对其与秋刀鱼渔场分布之间的关系进行了探讨。秋刀鱼的平均日产量为7.72±5.25t/d,日均网次产量为0.78±0.33t/net,都与桡足类、端足类、箭虫类的分布关系非常显著。秋刀鱼胃含物样本频数最高依次为桡足类、箭虫类、虾类、端足类、浮蚕类。在浮游动物中,桡足类和箭虫类占绝对优势,出现频率分别达到100%和93.3%,平均生物量为298.56mg/m^3和118.09 mg/m^3,其和占总生物量的高达96.88%,严重影响了总生物量的空间分布,分析认为与中心渔场分布的关系最为显著,因此可将其生物量大小作为确定秋刀鱼中心渔场的重要指标。  相似文献

Locations of early fishing grounds of saury in the northwestern Pacific   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In the north-western Pacific, we found that locations of early fishing grounds of Pacific saury, Cololabis saira, are affected by two factors, the size composition and the meridional shift of the offshore Oyashio Front (OOF). Early fishing grounds are formed nearshore from the central Kuril Islands to Hokkaido in northward OOF years. In southward OOF years, they are far from the coasts. There also exists a tendency that early fishing grounds are formed south-westward (north-eastward) in years when a large (medium or small) size class of saury is dominant and when the OOF shifts north (south). These results support the hypothesis that saury migration is considerably influenced by oceanographic conditions, and that a large size class of saury leads to migration that can reach the vicinity of Japan early in the fishing season.  相似文献

西北太平洋公海秋刀鱼渔业是我国重要的经济渔业之一,其渔场分布与海表温度及温度变化息息相关。本研究通过海表温度(SST)的遥感数据计算海表水平温度梯度(SSTG),根据2013—2015年中国(不含中国台湾省)北太平洋公海秋刀鱼渔业生产数据,分析海表温度锋与秋刀鱼资源丰度和渔场时空分布的关系。结果显示,秋刀鱼作业渔场主要分布于37°~49°N,145°~165°E;SST为10~14 ℃时,单位捕捞渔获量(CPUE)与SST呈负相关,SST为14~17 ℃时呈正相关,最适宜SST为12.5~14.5 ℃。当SSTG为0.01~0.06 ℃/km时,CPUE与SSTG呈显著线性正相关,最适宜SSTG为0.01~0.05 ℃/km。作业海域温度锋与CPUE呈显著正相关,相关系数为0.81;CPUE作业点到锋面的距离(DIST)表现出明显的季节特征,在夏季6—8月,当DIST为0~100 km范围内时,CPUE与DIST呈线性正相关,在秋季9—11月,CPUE与DIST呈对数负相关,90%以上的作业点出现在DIST为0~50 km范围内。研究表明,海表温度影响着秋刀鱼洄游渔场分布,亲潮黑潮交汇区形成冷水楔,海表温度锋集聚,进而秋刀鱼鱼群集群,形成高产渔场。  相似文献

A qualitative understanding of the long‐term variation in the population dynamics of Yellow Sea (YS) herring is particularly important for clarifying the evolutionary processes and driving mechanisms of the YS large marine ecosystem. Unfortunately, because of a lack of long‐term, continuous, and simultaneous monitoring data, the specific driving processes and mechanisms of climate effects on the population dynamics of YS herring remain largely unknown. In response to this scientific issue, we preliminarily propose the idea of reconstructing long‐term changes in YS herring abundance over the past 590 years (AD 1417–2004) based on historical documents and attempt to explore the impacts of climate on the population. Our results show that YS herring abundance maintained at a relatively high level from AD 1417 to 1870 (during the Little Ice Age); in contrast, the population declined significantly from AD 1870 to 2004 at different rates. In addition, we also found that there were strong relationships between the population abundance of YS herring and the Pacific decadal oscillation (PDO) and drought/flood cycles. We suggest that the fluctuations in YS herring abundance may be influenced by ocean–climatic circulation shifts throughout the North Pacific, especially the PDO.  相似文献

We developed habitat suitability index (HSI) models for two size classes of Pacific saury Cololabis saira in the Northwestern Pacific Ocean. Environmental data, including sea surface temperature, sea surface height, salinity, and net primary production, and catch and effort data from Taiwanese distant‐water stick‐held dip net fisheries during the main fishing season (August–October) during 2002–2015 were used. Habitat preferences and suitable habitat area differed between size classes. The suitable habitat was located between 40–47.5°N and 145–165°E for large‐sized Pacific saury but encompassed a greater area (35–47°N and 140–165°E) for medium‐sized Pacific saury. Both size classes were affected by substantial interannual variation in the environmental variables, which in turn can be important in determining the potential fishing grounds. We found a significant negative relationship between the suitable habitat area and the Niño3.4 indices with a time‐lag of 6 months for the large‐sized (= ?0.68) and medium‐sized (= ?0.42) Pacific saury, respectively, as well as the total landings of Pacific saury by all fishing fleets (= ?0.46). As remotely‐sensed environmental data become increasingly available, HSI models may prove useful for evaluation of possible changes in habitat suitability resulting from climate change or other environmental phenomena and in formulating scientific advice for management.  相似文献

Pacific saury (Cololabis saira) has a short life span of 2 years and tends to exhibit marked population fluctuations. To examine the importance of sea surface temperature (SST) and mixed layer depth (MLD) as oceanographic factors for interannual variability of saury recruitment in early life history, we analyzed the relationship between abundance index (survey CPUE (catch per unit of effort)) of age‐1 fish and the oceanographic factors in the spawning and nursery grounds of the previous year when they were born, for the period of 1979–2006, in the central and western North Pacific. Applying the mixture of two linear regression models, the variability in the survey CPUE was positively correlated with previous year's winter SST in the Kuroshio Recirculation region (KR) throughout the survey period except 1994–2002. In contrast, the survey CPUE was positively correlated with the previous year's spring MLD (a proxy of spring chlorophyll a (Chl‐a) concentration) in the Kuroshio‐Oyashio Transition and Kuroshio Extension (TKE) during 1994–2002. This period is characterized by unusually deep spring MLD during 1994–1997 and anomalous climate conditions during 1998–2002. We suggest that saury recruitment variability was generally driven by the winter SST in the KR (winter spawning/nursery ground), or by the spring Chl‐a concentration (a proxy of prey for saury larvae) in the TKE (spring spawning/nursery ground). These oceanographic factors could be potentially useful to predict abundance trends of age‐1 saury in the future if the conditions leading to the switch between SST and MLD as the key input variable are elucidated further.  相似文献

Penaeid shrimp fisheries are an important source of income for the fishing communities that live in estuarine zones around the world. Off Buenaventura, the habitat of the western white shrimp (Litopenaeus occidentalis) is subject to high precipitation associated with the intertropical convergence zone, contributions from numerous short rivers descending from the Andes Mountains, and seasonal alternations in Trade Winds directions responsible for the upwelling in the Panama Bight. This work analyzes the relationship of precipitation, the San Juan River runoff, and sea level height with Litopenaeus occidentalis abundance in fishing areas between 1968 and 1989. The results indicate that precipitation is significantly correlated (p < 0.01) with the catch per unit effort on a monthly scale with a lag of approximately 1 calendar year but the inclusion of the data in a transfer function model does not improve considerably the forecasting power of a simpler autoregressive moving average model of the catch per unit effort. On an annual scale, the catch per unit effort for white shrimp depends significantly [r2 = 0.36, p (corrected for autocorrelation)  0.01] on the precipitation that fell the previous December, whereas the residuals of this regression are significantly associated with variations of mean sea level between January and March (the upwelling season in the Panama Bight) of the current year at Buenaventura (r2 = 0.61, p (corrected for autocorrelation)  0.01). The inclusion of these two variables in a multiple linear regression model accounted for a substantial proportion of the total annual variance of the mean CPUE (r2 = 0.54), suggesting that freshwater contributions (lower salinities) and offshore transport during the main settlement period of postlarvae in the estuaries play a significant role in determining the strength of the cohorts recruited in the fishing areas. The industrial fishing yield decreased sharply after the 1982–1983 El Niño event. However, a high percentage of this change can be explained not by invoking El Niño effects but by a decreasing tendency of precipitation and offshore advection of early life stages between December and March, which took place on a multi-annual scale since the mid 1980s  相似文献

On the basis of Japanese long-line fishery data during 1970–1988, anticlockwise migration routes of albacore in the North Pacific are newly proposed. The annual migration route for mature albacore is described as a closed ellipse with a centre at 20°N and 170°E, and is wider in El Niño years than non-El Niño years associated with an appearance of a cold-water region in the central and south-western North Pacific. Immature albacore also have an anticlockwise migration route in winter which extends from 25°N to 35°N and from 130°E to 180°E, when the Kuroshio has a relatively straight path. However, the migration does not persist when the Kuroshio takes a large meander path.  相似文献

The occurrence and density of Pacific saury Cololabis saira larvae and juveniles were examined in relation to environmental factors during the winter spawning season in the Kuroshio Current system, based on samples from extensive surveys off the Pacific coast of Japan in 2003–2012. Dense distributions of larvae and juveniles were observed in areas around and on the offshore side of the Kuroshio axis except during a large Kuroshio meander year (2005). The relationships of larval and juvenile occurrence and density given the occurrence to sea surface temperature (SST), salinity (SSS), and chlorophyll‐a concentration (CHL) were examined by generalized additive models for 10‐mm size classes up to 40 mm. In general, the optimal SST for larval and juvenile occurrence and density given the occurrence was consistently observed at 19–20°C. The patterns were more complex for SSS, but a peak in occurrence was observed at 34.75–34.80. In contrast, there were negative relationships of occurrence and density given the occurrence to CHL. These patterns tended to be consistent among different size classes, although the patterns differed for the smallest size class depending on environmental factors. Synthetically, the window for spawning and larval and juvenile occurrence and density seems to be largely determined by physical factors, in particular temperature. The environmental conditions which larvae and juveniles encounter would be maintained while they are transported. The survival success under the physically favorable but food‐poor conditions of the Kuroshio Current system could be key to their recruitment success.  相似文献

Since there have been practically no surveys of the eggs of Pacific saury (Cololabis saira) in the western North Pacific (WNP), its spawning ground (SG) distribution has been poorly resolved, based mainly on the larval distribution. This means of estimating SG distribution is imprecise because saury eggs drift for more than a week before they hatch, in a region with intense western boundary currents and their extensions. To improve our understanding of the immature saury, a large number of larvae (body length <25 mm) collected in the WNP during 1993–96 were numerically backtracked to take into account the advection by geostrophic and wind‐forced Ekman currents, and the SG locations and ambient sea surface temperatures (SSTs) for the eggs and larvae on the backtracking trajectories were estimated. The resulting seasonal distributions of SGs indicated that both the locations and the intensities of spawning change from season to season. Moreover, the ambient SSTs for eggs just after fertilization ranged from a high of around 21.5°C in early autumn (September to October) to a low of around 15.0°C in late spring (May to June) with an intermediate of around 20.0°C in winter (January to February). The ambient SSTs showed seasonally different gradients while the individuals developed from eggs to early larvae: the SSTs decreased throughout the autumn (September to December), stayed rather constant in winter (January to February), and increased throughout the spring (March to June). The ambient SSTs for the early larvae were at around 19.0°C in autumn and winter (September to February) and around 16.5°C throughout the spring (March to June).  相似文献

Variation of chlorophyll a from March 2004 to July 2005 in the formation region of Subtropical Mode Water in the Kuroshio Extension was observed with a mixed‐layer tracking profiling float parking at around 40 m depth. Chlorophyll a concentration in the mixed‐layer is seasonally high from winter to early spring (January–April) even in the deep mixed layer; whereas during winter it tends to be lower for the corresponding deeper mixed layer. The chlorophyll a integrated over the winter mixed‐layer depth (MLD) increases with MLD for MLD <200 m and for MLD > 250 m the integrated chlorophyll a almost disappears, probably because of the large MLD exceeds in the critical depth with light limitation. These results suggest that the wintertime MLD influences the recruitment of Pacific saury (Cololabis saira) in the Kuroshio Extension because the wintertime food environment for larvae and juvenile of the Pacific saury could be better in the shallow wintertime MLD period of the 1950s and 1990s and worse in the deep MLD period of the 1970s and early 1980s.  相似文献
