教学与科研结合 提高本科教学质量

教学改革一直是全国高校教育改革的重中之重。近几年,福州大学在教学体制改革,尤其是如何利用自身有利条件,推行教学与科研结合的"导师制"、"3+1"教学人才培养模式、学生参加SRPT项目和各种专业竞赛等教学模式上,取得了良好效果。以生物科学与工程学院为例,总结探讨了该项改革方案的一些收获和建议。     

New degreening treatments to improve the quality of citrus fruit combining different periods with and without ethylene exposure

In the Mediterranean area, early-season citrus fruit reach acceptable internal maturity standards for marketing, while the fruit are still green. A degreening treatment is widely used as a postharvest practice to improve the external color. Nevertheless, the application of ethylene during this treatment can be associated with calyx senescence. The aim of this study was to evaluate new degreening treatments in order to reduce this disorder. ‘Clemenules’ mandarins and ‘Navelina’ oranges, harvested at different external colors, were submitted to different degreening treatments, combining periods with and without ethylene exposure. In both cultivars, the periods without ethylene exposure during degreening reduced the incidence of calyx disorders. To obtain a typical ‘Clemenules’ variety color with the lowest incidence of calyx alteration, the optimum degreening treatment was based on 72 h with ethylene and 48 h without ethylene when fruit were harvested with a color index of between −9 and −3. On the other hand, a treatment of 24 h with ethylene plus 48 h without ethylene is recommended for fruit with an external color index higher than −2. For ‘Navelina’ oranges, highly sensitive to calyx senescence during degreening, a treatment consisting of 24 h with ethylene plus 48 h without ethylene is recommended, which involves harvesting the fruit with a color index of over 0.     

Theoretical analysis on the protection properties against electric shock of low voltage DC distribution system with different grounding types

The low voltage direct current(LVDC)distribution system has great potential and advantage to be applied to conventional areas, such as residential house, due to its characteristics of energy conservation and being eco-friendly, but there is no existing standard specifications to guide its application in practice to ensure the electrical safety of this system. The protection against electric shock is a key indicator of electric safety, but the effect of electric shocks on AC and DC are different. Refer to the international standard IEC60479-1 and analytical method in AC system, the protection against electric shock between DC 750, 400, 300, 220 V and AC 220 V systems are compared and analyzed based on ideal DC source model. It demonstrates that the negative grounded TT & TN DC distribution system has significant advantages over the traditional AC system, and the safety voltages are given, which could be a reference to develop the normative guidance for the application of LVDC in practical application.     

The use of low molecular weight glutenin subunits to distinguish between wheat cultivars with and without resistance to the Russian wheat aphid, Diuraphis noxia

A number of resistance sources for the Russian wheat aphid have been reported in the last few years and were used to develop resistant cultivars from current commercial cultivars in various breeding programmes. It can be diffcult to distinguish between the cultivars with and without resistance without actual infestation and so in this study we looked at low molecular weight glutenin subunits (LMW-GS) of the two groups. Distinctly different banding patterns were found for the cultivars tested and their isogenic counterparts. Although the LMW-GS and DN1 and DN5 are coded on different chromosomes, the LMW-GS are highly repeatable and banding profiles of each cultivar can be used for the identification of unknown seed.
