我国数字图书馆建设的人力资源危机

数字图书馆的建设需要大量专业人才。但我国图书馆行业现有从业人员的状况却不容乐观。文章通过对数字图书馆建设对人才的需求和现有从业人员状况的分析与比较，总结我国数字图书馆建设所面临的人力资源危机。

     

Sex ratio and local resource competition in a prosimian primate

Competition between female kin for local limiting resources may explain a male-biased secondary sex ratio in the prosimian Galago crassicaudatus. Data demonstrating the skewed sex ratio, a brief summary of field observations on the species, and a simple mathematical statement of the hypothesis are presented. Local resource competition may influence sex ratio in other mammals.

Experimental evidence that competition promotes divergence in adaptive radiation

Interspecific competition driving divergence in adaptive radiation has not previously been tested experimentally. Natural selection on a morphologically variable species of stickleback fish was contrasted in the presence and absence of a close relative. Selection was nondirectional when the target species was alone, whereas addition of the second species favored individuals most different from it morphologically and ecologically. Disproportionately severe competition between similar phenotypes indicates frequency-dependent selection, verifying a crucial element of theory of competition and character divergence. The findings help resolve outstanding debates on the ecological causes of diversification and the evolutionary consequences of competitive interactions.     

Far-red radiation reflected from adjacent leaves: an early signal of competition in plant canopies

When individual seedlings of Datura ferox and Sinapis alba were transferred to populations formed by plants of similar stature, they responded with an increase in the rate of stem elongation. The reaction was detected within 3 days after transplanting and occurred well before shading among neighbors became important. This rapid response, which may be crucial for success in the competition for light, was reduced or abolished when individual internodes were "blinded" to the far-red radiation scattered by the surrounding seedlings. These results show the operation of a localized, photomorphogenetic control of stem elongation that may play a central role in the plastic adjustment of plants during the early stages of canopy development.

太阳辐射减弱对浮游与底栖藻类竞争的影响

为了解辐射减弱对浮游藻类和底栖藻类竞争的影响,构建了浅水生态系统,设置遮光组和不遮光的对照组两种处理,通过测定水中氮、磷营养盐、浮游藻类生物量及底栖藻类生物量等指标,分析遮光时浮游藻类和底栖藻类生长变化,研究辐射减弱对浮游与底栖藻类竞争的影响。结果表明,遮光条件下,水体浮游藻类Chl a降低15%,DO浓度平均增加9%,TN、TP浓度分别增加30%和24%时,底栖藻类Chl a增加48%。说明辐射减弱虽可显著降低水体光照强度和浮游藻类生物量,但可提高水体中氮、磷营养盐浓度,促进底栖藻类生物量增加。因此,在辐射减弱背景下,不利于浮游藻类生长,而有利于底栖藻类竞争。     

数字化资源建设中的用户需求分析

本文以山东省农科院图书馆为例,分析了农业图书馆的读者类型,对比了纸本环境与数字化资源环境中读者的阅读需求变化,提出了网络环境下对流通工作的新要求,个性化服务水平将成为衡量用户满意的新标准,这也将成为评判一个图书馆服务优劣的标准.     

Superiority, competition, and opportunism in the evolutionary radiation of dinosaurs

The rise and diversification of the dinosaurs in the Late Triassic, from 230 to 200 million years ago, is a classic example of an evolutionary radiation with supposed competitive replacement. A comparison of evolutionary rates and morphological disparity of basal dinosaurs and their chief "competitors," the crurotarsan archosaurs, shows that dinosaurs exhibited lower disparity and an indistinguishable rate of character evolution. The radiation of Triassic archosaurs as a whole is characterized by declining evolutionary rates and increasing disparity, suggesting a decoupling of character evolution from body plan variety. The results strongly suggest that historical contingency, rather than prolonged competition or general "superiority," was the primary factor in the rise of dinosaurs.     

Oxygen-isotope ratios in phosphate from fossil marine organisms

Well-preserved fossil marine organisms generally yield very positive delta(18)(PO(4)(3-)) values which are considered to result from relatively good preservation of the original oxygen-isotope composition of phosphatic material deposited under isotopic equilibrium conditions in oceanic water whose O(18):O(16) ratio was more positive than that of modern oceans.
