Hemicentrotus pulcherrimus in the Tohoku area is not utilized as a fishery product because the ovaries have a bitter taste almost all year. To discover the cause, we compared the annual reproductive cycles and ovarian accumulation of a bitter amino acid, pulcherrimine, in H. pulcherrimus collected at Mikuni (Fukui Prefecture), where it is fished in summer, and Iwaki (Fukushima Prefecture), where it is not utilized. At both sites, pulcherrimine increased in maturing ovaries as oogenesis proceeded from autumn to winter, decreased after spawning in spring, but remained in spent and immature ovaries for a few months. In Mikuni, pulcherrimine was scarcely detected in the ovaries for several months in summer. However, in Iwaki, late spawning delayed the disappearance of pulcherrimine in summer, and early initiation of oogenesis advanced the restart of pulcherrimine accumulation in autumn compared to Mikuni. Consequently, the period when the ovaries were palatable because of the absence of pulcherrimine during summer was short in Iwaki. The major cause of such short-term palatability could be the lower seawater temperature in the Tohoku area. Furthermore, pulcherrimine was never detected in other sea urchins, although a bitter taste was found in the mature ovaries of some species.

ABSTRACT:   For the purpose of clarifying the differences of taste components between the testis and ovary of the sea urchin Anthocidaris crassispina , variations in free amino acid composition in gonadal extract during gonadal development were investigated using chemical and histopathological methods. Sea urchins were collected at Iki Island, Nagasaki, Japan between 30 April and 5 June 2003, and maturation stages and the free amino acid compositions were determined. The sweet amino acids threonine (Thr), glycine (Gly), and alanine (Ala), the umami amino acid glutamic acid (Glu), and the bitter amino acids lysine (Lys) and arginine (Arg) were the main constituents accounting for more than 80% of total free amino acids. In the testis and ovary, Gly levels were the highest among them and increased with gonadal development. The other free amino acids consisted mainly of bitter amino acids and either showed no variation or decreased with gonadal development. These variations in free amino acid composition were observed more clearly in the ovary than the testis. These findings indicate the possibility of differences in the flavor of sea urchin gonad by sex and gonadal development stages.  相似文献

为了测定紫海胆黄中的营养成分,并对其营养价值进行系统分析及合理评价,采用国家标准的生化测定方法以及美国化学分析方法(AOAC)检测海胆黄中的水分、粗灰分、粗蛋白质、粗脂肪、总糖、氨基酸、脂肪酸及矿物质。结果显示:海胆黄粉中水分含量(5.29±0.02)%,粗灰分(8.69±0.03)%,粗蛋白质(60.36±0.04)%,粗脂肪(25.32±0.09)%,总糖含量(0.044±0.002)mg/100 g;共检出18种氨基酸,总含量(46.50±0.89)%;谷氨酸含量最高,为(5.57±0.11)%;必须氨基酸占总氨基酸的(37.75±0.01)%;主要的限制氨基酸是色氨酸和亮氨酸;药效氨基酸占氨基酸总量的46.86%;蛋白质氨基酸评分(AAS)0.8,化学评分(CS)0.5;必需氨基酸指数(EAAI)为77.86;共检出30种脂肪酸,EPA(二十碳五烯酸)+DHA(二十二碳六烯酸)含量(2.43±005)%;海胆黄富含钾、磷、钠、镁、铁、锌等矿物质元素;常量元素中,磷元素含量最高,为(1 432.27±8.91)mg/100 g;微量元素中,锌元素含量最高,为(13.13±0.09)mg/100 g。研究表明,海胆黄中蛋白质含量丰富,氨基酸种类多、比例合理,脂质含量高且富含EPA、DHA等多不饱和脂肪酸,矿物质含量丰富。  相似文献

This study investigated the effect of dietary arachidonic acid (ARA, 20:4n‐6) on final maturation, spawning performance and composition of the gonad of black sea urchin (Diadema setosum). Four different dietary ARA levels of 0.3 g/kg (Control diet), 1.4 g/kg (ARA 1.4), 2.5 g/kg (ARA 2.5) and 3.7 g/kg (ARA 3.7) were prepared and tested in this feeding trial for 90 days. The result showed that growth in terms of weight was not relatively affected by dietary ARA. Gonadosomatic Index (GSI) of animals were gradually increased in all the diets throughout the trial. The highest GSI level (25.7 ± 3.16%) was observed in animals fed with the diet ARA 1.4. ARA content in the gonad proportionally increased with dietary ARA levels. The highest larval survival rate (85.5 ± 5.67%) was found in diet ARA 2.5. The results of this study indicate that ARA plays an important role in the reproduction functions of black sea urchin and supplementing an appropriate level of ARA in the broodstock diet could induce the final maturation and improve reproduction of black sea urchin, but a higher level of ARA (3.7 g/kg) seems to have a negative effect on both growth rate and GSI.  相似文献

在水温10.1℃,将初始体质量为(0.55±0.16)g的马粪海胆幼胆,随机放入0.3 m×0.4 m×0.5 m的白色塑料桶中,每桶100个,过量投喂新鲜孔石莼、粘膜藻、肠浒苔、裙带菜和珠状硬毛藻,计算各种藻类的摄食量(以干质量计),研究马粪海胆对藻类的摄食选择性。再将初始体质量为(0.67±0.32)g的马粪海胆置于水温为10.1、15.6、20.3℃的容器中,投喂相同的5种藻类2 d后,挑选10个规格相似个体放入1 L锥形瓶中,适应0.5 h后密封测定耗氧率和排氨率,研究不同温度和藻类饵料下马粪海胆的耗氧率和排氨率。试验结果表明,马粪海胆的摄食选择率依次为裙带菜>粘膜藻>孔石莼>肠浒苔>珠状硬毛藻,马粪海胆明显偏好裙带菜;马粪海胆摄食量受温度及藻类种类影响显著(P<0.05),在15.6℃时,日相对摄食率最大,摄食裙带菜的组别显著大于其他组别(P<0.05),摄食珠状硬毛藻的组日相对摄食率最低;各组别马粪海胆耗氧率均随着水温的升高而增大,相同温度条件下,孔石莼组耗氧率最大;各组排氨率随着水温的升高呈现先增大后减小,15.6℃时最大。研究结果将为开展马粪海胆生态增养殖、构建刺参池塘绿色综合养殖模式提供参考。  相似文献

Groups of juvenile green sea urchin, Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis (average wet weight = 3.3 g), were fed five different dry feed rations (0.2%, 0.4%, 0.8%, 1.2% and 2.4% of their body weight per week) under constant light and temperature conditions for 160 days (Experiment I) in groups to examine growth effects, and for 40 days as individual treatments (Experiment II) to examine feeding efficiency. There was 100% survival of the sea urchins during both experiments. In Experiment I, the lowest ration group (0.2%) had significantly lower growth than the rest of the groups. There was no significant differences in growth between the sea urchin fed ration over 0.4% dry feed of the body wet weight per week. In Experiment II, the lowest feed ration groups (0.2%) had significant lowest growth but had the best feed conversion ratio (FCR), using 0.5 g of feed of dry feed per gram of sea urchin wet weight body growth. The FCR increased with increasing feed ration and the 2.4% group had the poorest FCR, using 1.3 g of feed per gram weight gain. Results from Experiments I and II illustrate that juvenile green sea urchin can grow at a restricted feed ration that is under maximum feed intake, without reduction in growth.  相似文献

测定了父本、母本性腺丰满期三个月的杂交海胆(Strongylocentrotus intermedius×S.nudus)氨基酸组成。结果表明,杂交海胆氨基酸含量(400.5~490.8 mg/g)、必需氨基酸含量占氨基酸总量的百分比(46.33%~51.09%)和鲜味氨基酸含量(169.5~228.4 mg/g)均较高,鲜味氨基酸含量占总氨基酸含量超过41%。杂交海胆中甘氨酸含量最高(41.1 mg/g~56.1 mg/g),谷氨酸含量(33.9~49.1 mg/g)次之。杂交海胆棘颜色深浅与氨基酸组成差别不大。杂交海胆蛋氨酸含量、蛋氨酸与缬氨酸含量均略高于父本、母本,海胆味较浓。  相似文献

本研究以杂色角孔海胆(Salmacis sphaeroides variegate)为研究材料,观察其形态,基于线粒体16S rDNA基因部分序列分析杂色角孔海胆与其他棘皮动物的亲缘关系,同时分析杂色角孔海胆性腺中的营养成分,为杂色角孔海胆种质改良和资源评估积累数据。结果显示,杂色角孔海胆的主要形态特征具有口器较小,每个步带板的外缘有3~4个小的圆形凹孔,管足壁内的骨片为C形。通过Mega 5.0对其他棘皮动物和得到的杂色角孔海胆的线粒体16S rDNA基因部分序列进行比较,基于距离法(NJ)和最大似然法(MP)分别构建系统树。结果显示,杂色角孔海胆与疏棘角孔海胆(Salmacis bicolor rarispina)的亲缘关系最近,其次是刻肋海胆属的3种海胆;杂色角孔海胆性腺中水分为86.1%,灰分为3.0%,粗脂肪为2.0%,蛋白质为8.01%;杂色角孔海胆性腺中的氨基酸种类共有16种,总含量为38.71 g/100 g,EAA/TAA为36.99%,EAA/NEAA为71.84%,DAA/TAA为37.17%;脂肪酸共检测到15种,含量最高的是棕榈酸C16:0、硬脂酸C18:0、EPA C20:5和花生四烯酸C20:4,含量最低的为二高-γ-亚麻酸C20:3,较其他海胆,其DHA含量较高。研究结果将为杂色角孔海胆的生物学研究提供基本资料,可用于经济海胆开发应用,同时也可为远缘杂交育种及经济海胆的种质鉴定提供理论依据。  相似文献

测定了海捕银鲳亲鱼肌肉,肝脏和性腺组织的氨基酸,并分析了不同性腺发育阶段的氨基酸变化。结果表明,雄性V期亲鱼精巢中的牛磺酸含量最高(27.8mg/g),显著高于肌肉和肝脏组织,而雄性V期亲鱼氨基酸总量在肌肉中最高(631.4 mg/g),其次是精巢(544.8 mg/g)和肝脏(468.0 mg/g)组织。雌性亲鱼肝脏中的牛磺酸含量(13.7 mg/g)显著高于卵巢和肌肉组织。在卵巢从III期发育到V期过程中,雌性亲鱼肌肉和肝脏中的氨基酸总量在V期下降显著,而卵巢氨基酸总量维持稳定。在总氨基酸的组成上,肌肉中含量高的氨基酸为Glu,Lys, Asp,Leu和Arg;肝脏中含量高的为Glu,Lys, Asp,Val和Leu;精巢中含量高为Glu,Asp, Lys, Arg和Val;卵巢含量高中为Glu,Lys,Leu,Val和Asp。性别和性腺发育阶段对亲鱼肌肉总氨基酸组成无影响。游离氨基酸含量在III 、IV和 V期卵巢中的含量分别为17.7 mg/g ,41.5 mg/g和29.6 mg/g,且其组成随性腺发育阶段的不同而有显著差异。  相似文献

Invasive and/or opportunistic organisms can negatively influence the success of sea urchin culture operations. To our knowledge, pests associated with sea urchin aquaculture have not been reported. In this study, we report the predatory association of the amphipod, Elasmopus levis (Amphipoda: Melitidae), with the sea urchin, Lytechinus variegatus (Echinodermata: Echinoidea), within an intensive inland culture system. Wild‐caught Ly. variegatus broodstock were placed in an intensive culture system, and within their canopy of spines or within transport seawater, populations of epifauna (including amphipods) and microfauna were most likely transferred into the culture system. A growing population of the amphipod developed over time. Associations of the amphipod with the sea urchin were observed to negatively affect the health of the sea urchin, and in some cases, epithelial tissue from the sea urchin test appeared to be consumed by the amphipod. An infestation of these amphipods in commercial sea urchin cultures could have the potential to be costly, and we recommend quarantine and/or water purification procedures be considered to prevent the introduction of pests to inland culture systems.  相似文献

Sea urchins produce high‐energy, membrane‐bound fecal pellets that contain residual nutrients and large quantities of microbiota. These egesta are readily consumed by the shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei. Egesta of the sea urchin, Lytechinus variegatus, were evaluated as a feed supplement or total replacement for a commercial shrimp diet. Shrimp were stocked at 0.49 g ± 0.06 g initial body weight and housed individually in 2.8‐L tanks in a commercial recirculating zebrafish system. Shrimp were assigned to one of six diets: commercial shrimp feed, reference sea urchin feed, collected dried sea urchin egesta, collected wet sea urchin egesta, half ration of shrimp feed and half collected wet sea urchin egesta, and egesta naturally produced by two sea urchins in polyculture. Equivalent dry matter amounts of each diet were proffered to shrimp in each treatment twice daily, except for those that had complete access to natural egesta excreted by sea urchins in polyculture. Sea urchins were proffered a reference sea urchin feed at 2% body weight daily. After 27 days, shrimp proffered collected dried or wet egesta did not differ significantly in percent weight gain and showed the lowest weight gain. The percent weight gain of shrimp fed the commercial shrimp diet did not differ significantly from that of the shrimp fed half commercial shrimp diet and half egesta. The highest weight gain was recorded for those shrimp that consumed the untouched egesta produced by sea urchins in polyculture. These data suggest that consumed egesta have noteworthy nutritional value and therefore would be beneficial to the culture of extractive species in an integrated multitrophic aquaculture system.  相似文献

The green sea urchin (Strongylocentrotus drobachiensis) fishery is of great importance to Maine’s economy. The fishery took off in the late 1980s as a result of expanding export markets, but has experienced substantial decline in landings since 1992 because of large decreases in urchin stock abundance. Fishery-independent surveys have not been conducted, and no formal stock assessment has been done prior to this study. Using the data collected from the fishery and urchin life history parameters derived from scientific studies, we conducted a formal stock assessment for the urchin stock. A stochastic observation-error length-structured model is used to describe the dynamics of the sea urchin population. A robust Bayesian approach is used for estimating fishery parameters because of concerns of possible outliers in fisheries data and mis-specification of priors. This study shows that the current stock is only 10% of the virgin stock biomass and that the exploitation rate is close to 40% suggesting that a large reduction in exploitation rate is necessary.  相似文献

Juvenile Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis (average wet weight = 4.0 g) were held at three initial stocking densities (15, 30 and 60 animals per tray, which equates to 0.25, 0.5 and 1 kg sea urchins/m2 surface area, respectively) under constant light and temperature conditions (LD 24:0 and 8.8°C) for 380 days. The somatic growth and survival of the urchins were monitored during this period, and the gonad index (GI) was measured at the conclusion of the experiment. The sea urchins in the two lowest stocking density groups had 100% survival after 380 days in contrast to the highest stocking density group, which only had 67% survival at the conclusion of the experiment. Somatic growth was significantly higher in the lowest density group than in the medium density group, and this in turn was significantly higher than in the high-density group. The injury occurrence was highest in the high-density group (20%), lower in the medium group (7%), and there were no injuries observed (0%) in the low density groups. There were no significant differences in GI between the groups at the end of the experiment. In conclusion, the present study showed that stocking density has significant effects on somatic growth and survival of juvenile green sea urchin, S. droebachiensis and should be taken into consideration when designing sea urchin holding systems.  相似文献

生物酶解是提高水产品蛋白质利用率的有效手段,且酶解过程往往伴随肽类、氨基酸、小分子挥发性成分等的生成或反应,进而引起酶解液风味变化。仿刺参(Apostichopus japonicus)性腺富含蛋白质和多种功效成分,具有良好的开发利用前景。为探究仿刺参性腺酶解过程中蛋白质和风味的变化规律,采用中性蛋白酶对其进行酶解,对酶解过程中可溶性蛋白质、氨基酸态氮、游离氨基酸组成、挥发性成分的变化情况进行了检测分析。结果显示,仿刺参性腺匀浆液中可溶性蛋白质和氨基酸态氮的初始含量分别为1.14和0.15 g/100 g,可溶性蛋白质在酶解前30 min内迅速增加,之后基本保持不变,氨基酸态氮含量在前90 min内随时间延长而逐渐增加,90 min后略有下降,90 min时水解度最大,达43.66%。随着酶解时间的延长,酶解液的鲜味有所增强,腥味减弱,甜味和苦味也略有增强。酶解后游离氨基酸含量显著增加(P<0.05),其中,呈鲜味的谷氨酸含量最高,其次为呈甜味的甘氨酸和丙氨酸。仿刺参性腺酶解过程气味发生明显变化,烃类种类和相对含量均明显增加,二甲基硫醚含量显著降低,这可能是酶解液腥味减弱的主要原因  相似文献

去除卵膜及受精膜是成功制备棘皮动物染色体的关键步骤。为找到高效去除海胆卵膜与受精膜的方法,使用三氮唑(2 g/L)、盐酸海水溶液(pH 4.75)、二硫苏糖醇(3×10-3 mol/L)和对氨基苯甲酸(3×10-3 mol/L)等4种化学试剂分别对中间球海胆()卵子及各时期胚胎进行处理,比较了不同试剂、处理时间或处理时期的去膜率、去膜后受精率和胚胎畸形率等指标的差异;利用常规空气干燥法对经去膜处理的囊胚期胚胎制备染色体,并进行核型分析。结果表明,三氮唑、盐酸海水溶液、二硫苏糖醇和对氨基苯甲酸等4种试剂对中间球海胆的卵膜和受精膜均有去除效果,其中2 g/L三氮唑处理未受精卵30 min的去膜率为85.50%,去膜后受精率为97.25%,畸形率为1.75%,去膜效果优于其余处理组。利用经该方法去膜后的早期囊胚进行染色体制备效果较好,获得了61个分散良好、形态完整的染色体中期分裂相。核型分析表明,中间球海胆的二倍体染色体数为2n=42,核型公式为:2n=20m+20sm+2st,NF=84,即有10对中部着丝粒染色体,10对亚中部着丝粒染色体,1对亚端部着丝粒染色体,染色体臂数为NF=84。本研究可为海胆染色体制备及染色体操作育种提供技术参考。  相似文献

Abstract:   Purple sea urchin Strongylocentrotus purpuratus is fished from British Columbia, Canada to Punta Baja, Mexico. The North American population has been divided into northern and southern fishery stocks at the break of Point Conception, but little is known about its southernmost distribution along the Mexican Pacific coast of the Baja California peninsula. In this study purple sea urchin populations in six sites along the Baja California peninsula were analyzed using mitochondrial deoxyribonucleic acid restriction fragment length polymorphism (mtDNA RFLP). A homogeneous distribution of three common haplotypes among all sites was observed. A significant F ST value, however, indicated genetic structure mainly due to the haplotype array in San Miguel, Isla Todos Santos and Punta Baja sites, which were characterized by having high haplotype diversity and several unique haplotypes. Homogeneous distribution of haplotypes along the peninsula could have been influenced by the unidirectional California Current system, flowing north to south. Unique haplotypes in Punta Baja and the structure found could be the result of local oceanographic features specific to this major upwelling zone. It may be necessary to consider the Punta Baja populations individually when managing the purple sea urchin fishery in Baja California, as they show signs of being a unique stock.  相似文献

The transfer of L-ascorbic acid (AA) from broodstock to the fertilised eggs and it's dynamics in embryos and fasting larvae, has been studied in sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax L.) and sea bream (Sparus aurata L.). Two types of diets were fed to the broodstocks: one containing sufficient ascorbate for normal growth and the other with an extra addition of a very high dose (2,000 mg/kg feed) of ethyl-cellulose-coated L-ascorbic acid.The concentration of AA and total ascorbate (L-ascorbic acid plus dehydroascorbic acid) was detected through several embryo and larval development stages, including larvae just before feeding. In sea bass and sea bream, the mean (SD) concentration of total ascorbate in fertilised eggs originating from broodstock fed AA supplemented diet, was 218.5 (17.7) and 122.4 (5.1) g/g wet weight respectively. This was significantly higher (P < 0.01) than the unsupplemented groups, which contained only 155.9 (6.9) and 103.9 (3.5) g/g wet weight respectively. A diet with a vitamin C content adequate for normal growth, may not be sufficient for broodstock when the goal is transfer of TAA to embryos. © Rapid Science Ltd. 1998  相似文献

通过对相同养殖环境条件下,青、白刺参(Apostichopus japonicus)体壁中营养成分(粗蛋白、粗脂肪、多糖、脂肪酸、氨基酸、微量元素等)的测定,比较两种剌参的营养品质与价值.结果显示,青、白刺参的出皮率,体壁中的水分、多糖和灰分含量差异显著(P<0.05),粗蛋白和粗脂肪差异不显著(P>0.05).青、白刺参体壁中均检测出20种主要脂肪酸,脂肪酸总量和多不饱和脂肪酸(PUFA)的含量差异不显著(P>0.05),而青刺参饱和脂肪酸(SFA)含量显著高于白刺参,单不饱和脂肪酸(MUFA)含量显著低于白刺参(P<0.05).MUFA中青刺参的花生四烯酸(AA)和二十二碳六烯酸(DHA)含量均显著低于白刺参(P<0.05).青、白刺参体壁中检测出17种氨基酸,必需氨基酸(EAA)、鲜味氨基酸(FAA)和药效氨基酸(DAA)的含量均无显著差异(P>0.05).青刺参体壁中天冬氨酸和精氨酸含量均显著低于白刺参(P<0.05).青刺参体壁中Mn和Cr的含量显著低于白刺参(P<0.05).重金属元素Pb、Cd、Hg、As的含量均符合相关食品卫生标准.综合评价认为,相同养殖环境条件下,白刺参的出皮率、多糖含量、脂肪酸中不饱和脂肪酸含量、AA和DHA的相对百分含量、氨基酸中天冬氨酸和精氨酸含量以及微量元素中Mn和Cr含量均优于青刺参.  相似文献
