PVDF-CF composite films were prepared using a melt pressing method. The PVDF-CF composite films were cut into rectangular shapes with a gauge length and width of 10 and 5 mm, respectively. The films were drawn using a universal testing machine equipped with a hot chamber. The drawing temperatures and speeds were 50∼150 °C and 100∼000 %/min, respectively. The crystal structure and physical properties of the resulting PVDF-CF films were investigated by wide angle X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic mechanical analysis and scanning electron microscopy. The crystal form of the initial films was the 〈alpha〉 phase (non polarity, lamellar structure) of PVDF. The maximum draw ratio was 4.2. The drawn PVDF-CF films prepared at 100 °C were mainly the 〈beta〉 phase (polarity, fibrillar structure) of PVDF. With increasing drawing speeds, the 〈alpha〉 phase became the dominant phase of PVDF in the PVDF-CF films. The thermal properties of the PVDF-CF films improved with increasing drawing temperature, and the dynamic mechanical properties improved with increasing drawing speed.  相似文献

Carbon nanofiber (CNF)/polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoro propylene (PVDF-HFP) composite film was prepared by solution casting and melt pressing. The resultant 2 % CNF/PVDF-HFP composite films were uniaxially drawn at 50 °C, 75 °C, and 100 °C, respectively. In the SEM images, the morphology of drawn CNF/PVDF-HFP composite film confirmed the orientation of the CNF and the polymer matrix. The WAXD results showed the coexistence crystal phase of PVDF-HFP. The drawn CNF/PVDF-HFP composite film demonstrates improved electrical properties. The DSC thermogram results indicated no change in the melting temperature but slightly increased crystallinity with increasing drawing temperature. Dynamic mechanical analysis and tensile test showed an improvement in the storage modulus and stress at a drawing temperature of 75 °C.  相似文献

Novel composite nanofibrous materials of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) or poly(vinylidene fluoride-cohexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP) and ZnO nanoparticles were prepared by conjunction of electrospinning and electrospraying techniques. Simultaneous electrospinning of concentrated solution of PVDF or PVDF-HFP and electrospraying of suspension of ZnO in diluted PVDF or PVDF-HFP solution enable the preparation of materials consisting of fibers on which ZnO was deposited on the fibers’ surface (design type “on”). These fibrous materials were compared with materials consisting of PVDF or PVDF-HFP fibers in which ZnO was incorporated in the fibers (design type “in”) and which were obtained by one-pot electrospinning of a suspension of ZnO nanoparticles in concentrated PVDF or PVDF-HFP solution. The fiber morphology and the presence of ZnO “in” or “on” the fibers were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The effect of the used technique on the type, size and shape of the obtained structures was discussed. The fibrous mats were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), contact angle measurements and mechanical tests as well. It was found that the decoration of fibers with ZnO resulted in increase of their thermal stability and hydrophobicity. The microbiological tests showed that the materials of design type “on” possessed strong antibacterial activity against the pathogenic microorganism Staphylococcus aureus. The results suggest that, due to their antibacterial activity, the obtained composite materials are suitable for wound dressing applications.  相似文献

In this study, two composite nanofibrous membranes of Polyvinylidenefluoride (PVDF) and [poly(vinylidenefluorideco-hexafluoropropylene)] (PVDF-co-HFP) prepared by the electrospinning process were employed in a direct contact membrane distillation (DCMD) system. We changed the pump flow rate and temperature difference to examine their effects on permeate flux and salt rejection. The SEM observations, porosity analyzer technique, and contact angle measurement indicated the nanobrous membrane with an average fiber diameter of 170 nm and maximum pore diameter distribution of 0.3 ??m is the best membrane for the DCMD system. However, the ability of the hydrophobic membrane affects the filtration efficiency of the DCMD system. The contact angle of the PVDF-HFP electrospun membrane (128°) shows better hydrophobic than the PVDF electrospun membrane (125 °). From the experiment of 12 hours, the salt rejection of PVDFHFP (99.9901 %) was better than that of PVDF composite membrane (99.9888 %) and was almost the same as that of the PTFE commercial membrane (99.9951 %). In addition, the permeate flux of the PVDF-HFP composite membrane is 4.28 kg/ m2hr higher than the PTFE commercial membrane.  相似文献

We have manufactured poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF)-based nanocomposite films with different graphene contents of 0.1~10.0 wt% by ultrasonicated solution-mixing and melt-compression. As a reinforcing nanofiller, graphene sheets are prepared by rapid thermal expansion of graphite oxide, which are from the oxidation of natural graphite flakes. Graphene sheets are characterized to be well exfoliated and dispersed in the nanocomposite films. X-ray diffraction data confirm that the α-phase crystals of PVDF are dominantly developed in the nanocomposite films during the meltcrystallization. DSC cooling thermograms show that the graphene sheets serve as nucleating agents for the PVDF α-form crystals. Thermal stability of the nanocomposite films under oxygen gas atmosphere is noticeably improved, specifically for the nanocomposite with 1.0 wt% graphene. Electrical volume resistivity of the nanocomposite films is substantially decreased from ~1014 to ~106 W cm, especially at a critical graphene content between 1.0 and 3.0 wt%. In addition, mechanical storage modulus is highly improved with increasing the graphene content in the nanocomposite films. The increment of the storage modulus for the nanocomposite film at 30 °C with increasing the graphene content is analyzed by adopting the theoretical model proposed by Halpin and Tsai.  相似文献

The porous Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) nanofibers were prepared by leaching method using polyethylene oxide (PEO) as porogen for the first time. The influences of the molecular weight (MW) and concentration of PEO, and the leaching solution on the morphology and the surface area of the porous PVDF nanofiber were systematically investigated. Polyethylene glycol 6000 (PEG6000) showed a better pore-forming effect. Optimized preparation parameters were obtained. With the ratio of PEG6000/PVDF reaching 1:1, the surface area of the resulting porous PVDF nanofiber was about three times higher than that of the pure PVDF nanofiber. Moreover, NaClO solution as leaching solution showed a very limited influence on the surface area of porous PVDF nanofiber. Afterwards, Ag NPs coated PVDF (Ag/PVDF) nanofiber was prepared by physical adsorption of Ag ions and in-situ reduction reaction using sodium borohydride as reductant. The photoactivity of Ag/PVDF nanofiber was evaluated by the photodegradation of methyl orange (MO) under visible light irradiation. Ag/PVDF nanofiber showed a better photoactivity than PVDF-Ag nanofiber prepared by the ex-situ blending method.  相似文献

Polylactide(PLA) films were drawn at various drawing temperature of 65, 90 and 120 °C. The effects of drawing temperature on structural conformation and properties of PLA films were investigated. It was confirmed that the PLA films at drawing temperature of 65 and 90 °C were composed of α′ phase crystal form. The strain-induced crystallization and molecular orientation increased with increasing the draw ratio, which result in improving the mechanical and thermal properties of α′ phase PLA films. However, at drawing temperature of 120 °C, the strain-induced crystallization and molecular orientation of PLA films were not distinctly detected. It was supposed that the rate of the chain relaxation was faster than chain orientation and strain-induced crystallization during uniaxial drawing process.  相似文献

Lotus-leaf-like nanofibrous surfaces were prepared by electrospinning hydrophobic poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) from a mixed solvent of N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) and acetone. PVDF fibrous mats with a bead-on-string morphology were generated because the nonpolar acetone decresed the viscosity of the PVDF solution and promoted the evaporation of the solution during electrospinning process. The morphology of the nanofibirous surface was examined by scanning electron microscopy. Micron-sized beads were introduced to the electrospun PVDF mats, resulting in enhanced hydrophobicity of the electrospun mats. The addition of a small amount (0.05 vol%) of acetic acid to the polymer solution effectively improved the bead-on-string morphology of the electrospun mats, and led to a higher water contact angle (WCA). The electrospun PVDF fibrous mat showed a maximum WCA of 148.5° due to the appropriate surface roughness.  相似文献

Organic-inorganic hybrid composites consisting of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) and SiO2 were prepared through a sol-gel process and the crystallization behavior of PVDF in the presence of SiO2 networks was investigated by spectroscopic, thermal and x-ray diffraction measurements. The hybrid composites obtained were relatively transparent, and brittleness increased with increasing content of tetraethoxysilane (TEOS). It was regarded from FT-IR and DSC thermal analyses that at least a certain interaction existed between PVDF molecules and the SiO2 networks. X-ray diffraction measurements showed that all of the hybrid samples had a crystal structure of PVDFγ-phase. Fresh gel prepared from the sol-gel reaction showed a very weak x-ray diffraction peak near 2θ=21° due to PVDF crystallization, and intensity increased gradually with time after gelation. The crystallization behavior of PVDF was strongly affected by the amount of SiO2 networks. That is, SiO2 content directly influenced preference and disturbance for crystallization. In polymer-rich hybrids, SiO2 networks had a favorable effect on the extent of PVDF crystallization. In particular, the maximum percent crystallinity of PVDF occurred at the content of 3.7 wt% SiO2 and was higher than that of pure PVDF. However, beyond about 10 wt% SiO2, the crystallization of PVDF was strongly confined.  相似文献

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) nanocomposites with the polymer matrix composed of blends of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) and polyurethane (PU) were prepared via functionalization of 3,4,5-triflouroaniline (TFA) on MWNTs. The MWNTs/polymer nanocomposites showed a dominantly enhanced elongation due to incorporation of PU molecules in PVDF matrix and the improved MWNTs dispersion in the polymer matrix resulting from functionalization of MWNTs with TFA. The functionalization of TFA on MWNTs was confirmed by the measurements of Raman, FT-IR spectra, SEM, and TEM images. In addition, the dielectric constant of nanocomposites increased with an increase of TFA-functionalized MWNTs in PVDF/PU/MWNTs nanocomposites. The polymer blend nanocomposites incorporating MWNTs may be available as an alternative potential route for the actuator materials.  相似文献

Nanocomposite films were prepared by casting the solution of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and single wall nanotube (SWNT) in nitric acid subsequent to sonication. Even though SWNT shows good dispersion visually, the reinforcing effect was not satisfactory. The G-band Raman spectra of the drawn film clearly demonstrated that SWNTs in the film are well-oriented along the drawing axis of the film. The electrical resistivity of the film prepared using nitric acid was lower than that of the film using DMF. Thus, nitric acid is presumably more effective in dispersing nanotubes than DMF.  相似文献

We have prepared a series of polypropylene/exfoliated graphene (PP/EG) nanocomposite films via efficient meltcompounding and compression, and investigated their morphology, structures, thermal transition behavior, thermal stability, electrical and mechanical properties as a function of EG content. For the purpose, EG, which is composed of disordered graphene platelets as reinforcing nanoscale fillers, is prepared by the oxidation/exfoliation process of natural graphite flakes. SEM images and X-ray diffraction data confirm that the graphene platelets of EG are well dispersed in PP matrix for the nanocomposites with EG contents less than 1.0 wt%. It is found that thermo-oxidative degradation of PP/EG nanocomposites is noticeably retarded with the increasing of EG content. Electrical resistivity of the nanocomposite films was dramatically changed from ∼1016 to ∼106 Ω·cm by forming electrical percolation threshold at an certain EG content between 1 and 3 wt%. Tensile drawing experiments demonstrate that yielding strength and initial modulus of PP/EG nanocomposite films are highly improved with the increment of EG content.  相似文献

We investigated the effect of ethylene and vinyl acetate (20/80 mole ratio) copolymer (EVAc80) content in poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF/EVAc80) blends and also varying isothermal crystallization temperatures on the crystalline structure and morphology, and surface topography using different spectroscopic and microscopic techniques. As crystallization temperature increases for the same blend composition, the lamellar splay type spherulite is changed to the concentric ring-banded spherulite, and then to the spiral-ringed spherulite with further increasing temperature. With increasing EVAc80 content in the PVDF/EVAc80 blends, the temperature range, where spiral-ringed spherulites and lamellar splay typeγ-spherulites are present predominantly, becomes much broader. Furthermore, the non-textured spherulite was observed more at highest crystallization temperature with increasing EVAc80 content. The band spacing between bright and dark zone and periodicity between ridge and valley increase with increasing amorphous EVAc80 content.  相似文献

High thermal conductive polymer composites have recently attracted much attention, along with the quick development to the electronic devices toward higher speed. The addition of high thermal conductive fillers is an efficient method to solve this problem. Here, we introduced superfullerene (SF), a novel zero-dimensional carbon-based filler, and incorporated into PVDF by a solution method. The effects of SF filler on the thermal conductivity of PVDF composites were systematically investigated. It was found that PVDF composites exhibited an improvement in thermal conductivity at a low SF loading. PVDF composites with only 5 wt% SF filler present the thermal conductivity value of 0.365 Wm-1K-1, which is as much as 121 % enhancement in comparison with that of neat PVDF. In view of the excellent thermal transport performance, the composites may enable some applications in thermal management in the future.  相似文献

Titanium dioxide/polyvinylidene fluoride (TiO2/PVDF) composite was prepared by electrospinning process to enhance the dielectric properties for application as a gate insulator in organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs). Scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and X-ray diffraction were employed to characterize the as-prepared samples, and then their dielectric constants were investigated by impedance analysis. The impedance results show that the dielectric constant of the electrospun TiO2/PVDF nanofibers is higher than those of other samples, demonstrating that electrospun TiO2/PVDF composite can be a proper candidate for gate insulators in OTFTs.  相似文献

In this study, polyurethane films were prepared using starch as the main polyol component, and the mechanical properties of these films were investigated. The starch content of the polyols was 30–50 wt%. To confirm the formation of a urethane linkage between the −OH of starch and −NCO of toluene 2,4-diisocyanate, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopic analysis was performed. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) thermograms of the polyurethanes resulted in two endothermic peaks, which shifted to higher temperatures with increasing starch content and −NCO/−OH molar ratio. Due to the melting behavior of polyurethane, films could be prepared by hot pressing at an appropriate temperature. Polyurethane films were prepared with various polyol starch content and −NCO/−OH molar ratios. Tensile testing indicated that the breaking stress and elastic modulus increased significantly with starch content and −NCO/−OH molar ratio. In addition, bending tests indicated an increase in breaking stress and bending modulus with starch content and −NCO/−OH molar ratio and decreased breaking strain. The strain rate in both tensile and bending tests had a significant effect on the mechanical properties.  相似文献

Poly(butylene terephthalate) sheets were prepared by roller-drawing method with various draw ratio. The drawing temperature is 100 °C and draw ratios were varied 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 and 4. The effect of draw ratio on the crystal structure, the molecular orientation, dynamic viscoelastic properties, sonic modulus and tensile properties of the roller-drawn PBT sheets were investigated. In WAXD results, with increasing of the draw ratio, (010) and (100) planes of preferred orientation have the strongest intensity on the equator. In the meridional scans, it was confirmed that α and β crystal co-existed in the roller drawn PBT sheets with various draw ratio. Uniaxially roller-drawn PBT sheets clearly increased orientation along the stretched direction at high draw ratio. And the four-methylene groups of PBT orient along the surface of the sheet. The mechanical properties of PBT sheets were improved by orientation-induced crystallization during roller drawing process at 100 °C.  相似文献

The properties of polarizing films prepared using iodine vapor and using I2/KI solution are compared to investigate the possibility of using vapor phase iodine adsorption in preparing polarizing film. The structure of PVA films drawn to different draw ratios and the amount of iodine adsorbed in drawn PVA films using iodine vapor were investigated. Increases in the degree of crystallinity, crystalline orientation index and birefringence with increase in draw ratio of PVA film, were observed by WAXD and polarizing microscope analysis. The amounts of iodine adsorbed by PVA film were 2–4 wt% for 20 min. UV-visible analysis suggests that I3 ? and I5 ? structures of iodine exist in the polarizing film after drawing in boric acid solution. Single transmittance and degree of polarization of polarizing films prepared using iodine vapor were about 30–50 % and over 99 %, respectively, at total draw ratios of over 3. The possibility of employing vapor phase adsorption of iodine instead of solution adsorption to prepare commercial polarizing film is suggested.  相似文献

Cotton fabrics exhibiting superhydrophobic and antibacterial properties were prepared through a non-solvent induced phase separation method using hydrophobic poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) and its hybrids with photocatalytic zinc oxide nanoparticles (nano-ZnO) as surface modifying agents for cotton fabric. The effects of coagulating medium and temperature on microstructural morphology and surface hydrophobictity of the cotton fabrics were investigated by FE-SEM observation and contact angle measurement. Superhydrophobic cotton fabrics exhibiting water contact angle higher than 150 ° could be obtained by coating the fabrics with solutions of PVDF and nano-ZnO followed by coagulation in ethanol as non-solvent. This phenomenon is considered to be originated from both chemically hydrophobic PVDF layer and physical micro- and nano-bumps formed on the surface of cotton fabric, which are essential requirements for Lotus effect. Moreover, antibacterial properties could be synergistically obtained by utilizing photocatalytic effect of nano-ZnO.  相似文献

Vegetative propagation of potato leads to virus accumulation, resulting in significant yield losses and reduced quality. Virus identification is critical for developing disease management strategies and measuring seed lot health. The most widely used method of virus diagnosis in seed potatoes is a post-harvest test, for which the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is often used. ELISA was previously modified by substituting microtiter plates with membranes to develop a more flexible and inexpensive assay. We optimized a dot-blot immunoassay with viral proteins bound to a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane and detection of the proteins with alkaline phosphatase-labeled antibodies and a chemiluminescence reagent. The assay was tested for detection of viruses of seven genera. We have also altered the assay by spotting an antibody array onto a PVDF membrane and tested it for its potential uses as a diagnostic tool for Potato virus Y, Hosta virus X, and Potato leafroll virus.  相似文献
