Some concepts in reaction dynamics

The objective in this work has been one which I have shared with the two other 1986 Nobel lecturers in chemistry, D. R. Herschbach and Y. T. Lee, as well as with a wide group of colleagues and co-workers who have been responsible for bringing this field to its current state. That state is summarized in the title; we now have some concepts relevant to the motions of atoms and molecules in simple reactions, and some examples of the application of these concepts. We are, however, richer in vocabulary than in literature. The great epics of reaction dynamics remain to be written. I shall confine myself to some simple stories.     

Data transfer: Basic concepts

Experimental methods often utilize computers to acquire, then transfer data to more convenient facilities for storage, processing, and analysis. Knowledge of the basic concepts of digital data transmission is often essential in the proper set up and operation of microprocessor-based instrumentation. This paper discusses methods of electronically transferring data from laboratory or field facilities to a central computer.

就农业院校普遍使用的<面向21世纪课程教材*遗传学>(朱军主编,第3版)的几个概念论述上存在的问题进行了探讨,并提出了相应的建议.这些概念包括交换值、重组率和遗传图距,同(共)线基因与连锁基因,伴性遗传、限性遗传与从性遗传,细胞质遗传与母性遗传,显性-隐性与野生型-突变体等.     

Language and the origin of numerical concepts

Reports of research with the Pirah? and Mundurukú Amazonian Indians of Brazil lend themselves to discussions of the role of language in the origin of numerical concepts. The research findings indicate that, whether or not humans have an extensive counting list, they share with nonverbal animals a language-independent representation of number, with limited, scale-invariant precision. What causal role, then, does knowledge of the language of counting serve? We consider the strong Whorfian proposal, that of linguistic determinism; the weak Whorfian hypothesis, that language influences how we think; and that the "language of thought" maps to spoken language or symbol systems.

论高校图书馆以人为本的管理与服务理念

高校图书馆作为高校的三大支柱之一 ,应该树立“以人为本”的管理理念和服务理念。“以人为本”就是在管理和服务过程中把人放在应有的主体地位 ,适应和满足人性需要 ,注重感情和文化的因素。尊重人、关心人、爱护人、理解人、感化人、教育人、培养人和用非强制性方法影响人的心理和行为 ,激励人的积极性 ,发挥人的创造性 ,挖掘人的智力与潜力 ,引导人们实现预定的目标。高校图书馆树立“以人为本”的理念 ,应该体现在两个方面 ,一是图书馆内部的行政管理和业务管理应体现出“以人为本”的管理理念 ,二是图书馆的读者服务应体现出“以人为本…     

经济学视域下中国鲍鱼产业的成就、问题与可持续发展建议

经过连续多年的快速发展,中国鲍鱼产业取得了长足的发展,其中特别包括成功地解决了鲍鱼产能的约束问题,形成了相对完整的鲍鱼产业链,积累了大量术有专攻的各类人才,出口贸易能力显著增强,组织和规则意识有所提升。尽管如此,如同许多资源型产业一样,鲍鱼产业发展始终面临着社会容量、环境容量和市场容量的约束,当前面临的主要问题是供给大于需求,产业效益仍有较大提升空间。本文从自然资源型产业的特征出发,从经济学的视域下剖析了中国鲍鱼产业发展面临的问题及其根源,提出了中国鲍鱼产业可持续发展的建议。     

知识经济与高等教育观的变革

即将到来的2l世纪是一个知识经济的时代。高等院校面对知识经济的挑战，必须树立教育是首要战略资源的观念，加强教学改革，培养学生的创新能力，注重通才教育，全面推进高校素质教育。
