Systemic fungicides such as the phenylamides and phosphonates have provided new opportunities for chemical control of soil-borne Phytophthora species. Potential problems in their use include biodegradation in soils, and the emergence of pathogen isolates resistant to these compounds. Resistance to phenylamides is well known in leaf-infecting Oomycetes, but less is known about the development and relative fitness of resistant isolates among populations of soil-borne Phytophthora species. Experiments with P. capsici and P. palmivora have shown that stable resistant and virulent isolates can be selected under laboratory conditions. Some mutants resistant to both metalaxyl and fosetyl-A1 have been recovered, with growth rates and sporulation equivalent to parental wild types. Selected mutants proved able to compete in vivo with fungicide-sensitive wild types in the absence of the compounds. More information is required to fully evaluate the implications of these results for chemical control of soil-borne Phytophthora species in the field. 用化学诱导因子和灭活的生物诱导因子在田间自然条件下诱导了新疆甜瓜产生对疫霉病的整体抗性.1996年的试验结果表明,用化学诱导因子诱导处理,最高诱抗效果可达79.40%,平均诱抗效果在40%以上;生物诱导因子诱导处理,最高诱抗效果为68.62%,平均诱抗效果为30%以上.1997年的试验基本上验证了1996年的结果,化学诱导因子最高诱抗效果可达60%,平均诱抗效果为35.86%,经t测验分析,诱抗效果显著.  相似文献

ABSTRACT The central highlands of Mexico should provide an optimal testing ground for evaluating the potential threat of selection for resistance to fungicides in the population of Phytophthora infestans. We evaluated the hypotheses that exposure to the fungicides azoxystrobin, cymoxanil, dimethomorph, fluazinam, mancozeb, metalaxyl, and propamocarb hydrochloride would lead to (i) a shift in the sensitivity distributions (i.e., selection) and (ii) a lower genotypic diversity of the population. We compared populations from unsprayed plots with populations that had been exposed to several applications of each of the fungicides within a single field season. This study provides novel baseline data and shows that the Toluca valley P. infestans population has a wide range of sensitivities to the fungicides fluazinam, cymoxanil, dimethomorph, metalaxyl, and propamocarb. Directional selection toward resistance combined with a reduction in genetic diversity of the P. infestans population was observed only for the fungicide metalaxyl. The results obtained provide direct experimental support for continuing vigilance regarding further introductions of exotic strains of P. infestans into the United States.  相似文献

ABSTRACT A wide range of commercially formulated fungicides cause in vitro effects on mating behavior in specific isolates of Phytophthora infestans, the causal agent of late blight of potato and tomato. Four isolates of P. infestans representing each of the four common US genotypes, US-1, US-6, US-7, and US-8 and varying in their sensitivity to metalaxyl, were exposed to a variety of fungicides used to control late blight in petri dish assays at concentrations ranging from 1 to 100 mug a.i./ml. Exposure of each of these normally heterothallic single mating type isolates of P. infestans to 9 of the 11 commercial fungicide formulations tested resulted in the formation of oospores after 2 to 4 weeks. The highest numbers of oospores were formed on media amended with Ridomil 2E (metalaxyl) and Ridomil Gold EC (mefenoxam) at 0.1 to 10 mug a.i./ml, averaging as many as 471 and 450 oospores per petri dish, respectively. Several other fungicides including Maneb, Manzate (Mancozeb), Curzate (cymoxanil + mancozeb), and Acrobat MZ (dimethomorph + mancozeb) also induced oospore formation, producing from 0 to 200 oospores per plate at fungicide concentrations from 0.1 to 10 mug a.i./ml. The metalaxyl resistant isolates formed oospores in response to the fungicides more often than the metalaxyl sensitive isolates. No oospores were formed on media amended with Bravo (chlorothalonil) or Tattoo C (chlorothalonil + propamocarb HCl) and these compounds completely suppressed growth of the isolates at 0.1 and 1 mug a.i./ml. Three metalaxyl resistant A2 isolates mated with both A1 and A2 isolates after exposure to the fungicides Ridomil 2E and Ridomil Gold EC. Alterations in mating type expression were also observed in a metalaxyl sensitive A1 isolate after exposure to Benlate (benomyl). Copious amounts of chemicals are applied annually to potato and tomato production areas to control late blight. Our results indicate that a wide range of chemically diverse fungicides can induce normally heterothallic metalaxyl resistant isolates of P. infestans to form oospores in vitro after short exposures to the fungicides.  相似文献

对新化合物氯苯肟唑作为农用杀菌剂的效果进行了评价。分别采用孢子萌发法、含毒介质法、离体叶片法和盆栽试验法,测试了氯苯肟唑对不同蔬菜病原真菌的抑制作用;此外,还进行了20%氯苯肟唑水乳剂防治黄瓜白粉病和黑星病的田间药效试验。室内毒力测定结果显示,氯苯肟唑对供试的几种病原菌均具有较高的杀菌活性,其中500 mg/L的处理对番茄枯萎病菌、辣椒疫病菌、黄瓜黑星病菌的活性与对照药剂相当,对菜豆菌核病菌、黄瓜灰霉病菌和黄瓜白粉病菌的抑制率虽然低于对照药剂,但抑菌效果均在80%以上。田间试验中20%氯苯肟唑水乳剂40 mg/L药液对黄瓜白粉病和黄瓜黑星病的防效可分别达80%和84%。室内生物活性测定结果与田间试验结果一致。  相似文献

ABSTRACT The induction of defense compounds in oats (Avena sativa) in response to invasion by parasitic nematodes and to application of the wound hormone methyl jasmonate was examined. Oats cv. Quoll seedlings were challenged with Pratylenchus neglectus, Heterodera avenae, and Ditylenchus dipsaci and treated with 1 x 10(-4) M methyl jasmonate. Three compounds, isolated in methanolic root and shoot extracts of oats, exhibiting an absorbance spectrum typical of flavone glycosides, were induced by nematode invasion and methyl jasmonate. These were identified as flavone-C-glycosides by mass spectrometry. The effect of the flavone-C-glycosides on the invasion by and development of cereal cyst nematode H. avenae was assessed using methanolic extracts of shoots and roots from methyl jasmonate-treated plants. Both extracts impaired nematode invasion and development. When the extracts were fractionated by high voltage paper electrophoresis, only one flavone-C-glycoside, O-methyl-apigenin-C-deoxyhexoside-O-hexoside, inhibited nematode invasion. The protective effect of the induction of flavone-C-glycosides in oats by methyl jasmonate was evaluated against H. avenae and P. neglectus. Treatment with methyl jasmonate reduced invasion of both nematodes and increased plant mass, compensating for damage caused by the nematodes, and is attributed to the active flavone-C-glycoside. The active compound, O-methyl-apigenin-C-deoxyhexoside-O-hexoside, has not been implicated previously in plant defense against any pest or pathogen, and appears to provide protection against the major cereal nematodes Heterodera and Pratylenchus.  相似文献

研究了新的仿生农用杀菌剂邻丙烯基苯酚的残留分析方法及其在番茄中的消解动态和最终残留。番茄经丙酮提取、液液分配及弗罗里硅土净化、浓缩、定容后,用带紫外检测器的高效液相色谱进行测定。邻丙烯基苯酚的最低检出量为3 ng,在番茄中的最低检出浓度是0.01 mg/kg。本方法的添加回收率为87.7%~90.2%,变异系数1.25%~2.06%,符合残留分析要求。运用上述方法,测定了邻丙烯基苯酚在番茄中的消解动态以及最终残留,结果表明:邻丙烯基苯酚在番茄中的半衰期为6.37 d,番茄收获时邻丙烯基苯酚消解在80%以上。  相似文献

ABSTRACT Twenty-six isolates of a Phytophthora population from two wild solanaceous species, Solanum tetrapetalum (n 11) and S. brevifolium (n = 15), were characterized morphologically, with genetic and phenotypic markers, and for pathogenicity on potato and tomato. Based on morphology, ribosomal internal transcribed spacer region 2 (ITS2) sequence, and pathogenicity, all isolates closely resembled P. infestans and were tentatively placed in that species. Nonetheless, this population of Phytophthora is novel. Its primary host is neither potato nor tomato, and all isolates had three restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) bands (probe RG57) and a mitochondrial DNA haplotype that have not been reported for P. infestans. All the isolates were the A2 mating type when tested with a P. infestans A1 isolate. The A2 mating type has not been found among isolates of P. infestans from potato or tomato in Ecuador. Geographical substructing of the Ecuadorian A2 population was detected. The three isolates from the village of Nono, identical to the others in all other aspects, differed by three RFLP bands; those from Nono lacked bands 10 and 16, but possessed band 19. Most of the Ecuadorian A2 isolates were nonpathogenic on potato and tomato, but a few caused very small lesions with sparse sporulation on necrotic tissue. Cluster analysis of multilocus genotypes (RFLP, mating type, and two allozymes) dissociated this A2 population from genotypes representing clonally propagated populations of P. infestans worldwide. The current hypotheses for the historical global movements of P. infestans do not satisfactorily explain the origin or possible time of introduction into Ecuador of this A2 population. Assuming the population is P. infestans, its presence in Ecuador suggests either a hitherto unreported migration of the pathogen or an indigenous population that had not previously been detected.  相似文献

ABSTRACT Sources of inoculum were investigated for dominant hosts of Phytophthora ramorum in a redwood forest. Infected trunks, twigs, and/or leaves of bay laurel (Umbellularia californica), tanoak (Lithocarpus densiflorus), and redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) were tested in the laboratory for sporangia production. Sporangia occurred on all plant tissues with the highest percentage on bay laurel leaves and tanoak twigs. To further compare these two species, field measurements of inoculum production and infection were conducted during the rainy seasons of 2003-04 and 2004-05. Inoculum levels in throughfall rainwater and from individual infections were significantly higher for bay laurel as opposed to tanoak for both seasons. Both measurements of inoculum production from bay laurel were significantly greater during 2004-05 when rainfall extended longer into the spring, while inoculum quantities for tanoak were not significantly different between the 2 years. Tanoak twigs were more likely to be infected than bay laurel leaves in 2003-04, and equally likely to be infected in 2004-05. These results indicate that the majority of P. ramorum inoculum in redwood forest is produced from infections on bay laurel leaves. Years with extended rains pose an elevated risk for tanoak because inoculum levels are higher and infectious periods continue into late spring.  相似文献

Three sexual crosses involving isolates of P. nicotianae with differing sensitivity to mefenoxam were established to study the inheritance of mefenoxam resistance. Mefenoxam sensitivity was determined by measuring the mycelial growth on both mefenoxam-amended clarified V8 agar and non-amended agar and then calculating the relative growth. When both parents had the same phenotype (both were resistant or both were sensitive), all F 1 progeny had the parental phenotype and no segregation for a major effect gene was observed in sensitivity to mefenoxam. However, variations in the mycelial growth of progeny indicated the segregation of minor-effect genes. When the cross involving the mefenoxam-resistant isolate 3A4 and a sensitive parent, the F 1 progeny segregated for mefenoxam resistance in a ratio of 1:1 (resistant: sensitive), indicating that the mefenoxam resistance is controled by a single dominant gene. Mating type was not linked to the mefenoxam-resistance gene locus. One RAPD marker linked in trans to the MEX locus was obtained by bulked segregant analysis using RAPD markers and was converted to a sequence characterized amplified region marker (SCAR). The SCAR maker identified in this study is a limited but useful tool for differentiating homozygous resistant isolates from sensitive isolates of P. nicotianae.  相似文献
