Juniperus procera is the most preferred tree in Ethiopia. It is an endangered tree species enumerated in IUCN red list. Accordingly, this study investigates the future suitable habitat of the J. procera under climate change in northern Ethiopia. Three occurrence districts were visited and 124 presence observations were taken. The records, altitude, and 19 bio-climatic variables were used to run a species distribution model to account for the climate change effect on the species. Maxent, Diva-GIS, and ArcGIS were used to evaluate the outputs. Future suitable habitats were projected into mid and end-century time frames with two Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP2.6 and 8.5) under one General Circulation Model, namely the Climate Community System Model Version-4. Our results showed that minimum temperature of the coldest month and altitude are main predictors of the distribution of the species. Suitable habitats of the species will be decreased by 79.84%, 91.17%, 75.31%, and 96.25% in Mid-century RCP2.6, Mid-century RCP8.5, End-century RCP2.6, and End-century RCP8.5 when compared with current distributions, respectively. This indicates that climate change will affect the future distribution of the species. The results of the study indicate that appropriate management strategies must be taken to ensure the long-term survival of J. procera. 相似文献

This study compared models for estimating carbon sequestered aboveground in Cupressus lusitanica plantation stands at Wondo Genet College of Forestry and Natural Resources, Ethiopia. Relationships of carbon storage with tree component and stand age were also investigated. Thirty trees of three different ages (5, 12 and 24 years), comprising 10 trees from each stand, were sampled in order to generate dry biomass and carbon data from tree components. Five linear and non-linear biomass and carbon models were compared and evaluated for estimation of overall aboveground carbon, carbon by age groups, and carbon by diameter at breast height (DBH) classes using performance indicator statistics. Among the models compared, a carbon model described by Y = b 0 D 2 H + ? (p-value < 0.001), where D = DBH (in cm), H = total height of the tree (in m), ? = error, and b 0 is a parameter, was found to be the best model for estimation of carbon sequestered aboveground in C. lusitanica plantation stands of the study area. The study also indicated the overall superiority of carbon models over biomass models in estimation of aboveground carbon of C. lusitanica. It was concluded that, for the range of DBH utilised in the current study, the carbon model described can be a useful tool in estimation of carbon storage of C. lusitanica plantations in the study area and other related sites. 相似文献

Stem volume equations were fitted for Cupressus lusitanica in Gergeda Forest, Ethiopia using six different established equation forms. A total of 260 trees were measured for their diameter at breast height (D), total height (H?)and stem volume using destructive sampling methods. The data set was randomly divided into equal size for equation development and equation validation. Five fit statistics comprising of the fit index, root mean square error, bias (ē?), absolute mean deviation and coefficient of variation were used to evaluate the performance of each equation. Among the different equations, the Schumacher and Hall function of the form V = b1Db2Hb3 (model 5), which estimates volume (V?) using diameter at breast height and total height as predicting variables, performed best and was then fitted to the combined data set for prediction of volume over-bark of C. lusitanica in Gergeda Forest. Overall, volume equations with two independent variables (D and H?) performed better than those with only one variable (D). The equations developed in this study can provide forest managers with accurate estimations of stem volumes for C. lusitanica in Gergeda Forest. 相似文献

干热河谷石灰岩地区的立地条件差,导致造林成活率低,使用白金子抗旱保水剂结合ABT生根粉、地膜覆盖技术应用于墨西哥柏工程造林,检测结果:(1)显著地提高了造林成活率,达99%,比对照试验地提高了21%-27%;(2)植株生长迅速,长势旺盛,平均高生长达116cm,比对照试验地提高17.5cm,与定植时高度相比,平均增高41cm,地径增粗0.3cm。对比效果明显。该项技术适宜在同类地区的林业工程造林中推广应用。 相似文献

对温室条件下的10个墨西哥柏种源幼苗进行施肥试验,并测定了其苗高、地径、叶片叶绿素含量和叶片N、P、K浓度。试验设3个处理水平:正常温室养护管理,为对照(CK);施用复合肥N、P、K质量比为1∶1∶1,总养分≥45%(T1);施用复合肥N、P、K质量比为4∶1∶1,总养分≥48%(T2);施用尿素(N 46%)(T3)。结果表明,10个墨西哥柏种源对不同施肥处理的吸收效率各不相同;施肥能显著促进墨西哥柏苗木的生长,不同施肥比例对生长指标的影响各不相同,其中T2>T3>T1;T1、T2处理水平很好的促进了叶绿素的积累,其中T1>T2,而T3对墨西哥柏叶绿素影响不显著;处理T2下的10个种源叶片N、P、K元素浓度与CK差异最显著,其次是T1、T3。 相似文献

通过种子园与子代测定相结合的方式,在位于滇中的石林林场建立了含102个优树(家系)的墨西哥柏实生种子园,从中探讨了墨西哥柏实生种子园的营建途径。对该种子园的52个墨西哥柏自由授粉优树子代测定的结果表明,墨西哥柏速生,10年生树高、胸径、材积、冠幅的年均生长量分别为1.04 m、1.43 cm、0.009 6m3和0.22 m。生长性状和结实性状家系间的差异达显著水平。树高、胸径、材积、冠幅、结实量的家系遗传力分别为0.76、0.66、0.68、0.74和0.65,单株遗传力分别为0.27、0.16、0.18、0.23和0.16,其生长性状和结实性状呈显著的负相关。从该种子园中评选出了9个优良家系,22个优良单株,其材积遗传增益平均为13.47%和25.2%。此外,还揭示了墨西哥柏10年生期间的生长规律。 相似文献

选取2年生墨西哥柏幼苗为试验对象,以NH4NO3为外加氮源,通过模拟氮沉降试验,研究其生长和光合生理对氮增加的响应.结果表明:幼苗在高氮水平处理下其生长不断受到抑制,而在中氮水平处理下,幼苗生长不断得到促进.随着施氮浓度增加,墨西哥柏幼苗的根质量和根长均降低,表明氮处理抑制根的生长,分配到根部分的生物量下降.幼苗的净光合速率呈现出随氮处理浓度增加而先增加后降低的趋势,即中氮组的净光合速率最高,而高氮组开始逐渐下降.幼苗的水分利用效率变化趋势与净光合速率一致.幼苗叶片光合色素含量随氮处理水平增加而增加.说明短期内中氮水平对幼苗生长和光合作用影响最显著,而高氮水平对幼苗光合色素影响最显著. 相似文献

以29a生柏木、马褂木和杉木针阔混交林为研究材料,利用结构化森林经营技术评价林分的稳定性。结果表明:柏木、马褂木和杉木等针阔混交林中树种优势程度最高的为柏木,其次为马褂木;整个林分中的树种为随机分布,林分中林木大多数处于强度混交和极强度混交的状态,其中刺槐、翅荚木、构树和马尾松平均混交度为1,为极强度混交。女贞、黄檀、蓝果树、香椿、和油桐为强度混交。优势树种柏木、马褂木和杉木中,马褂木的平均混交度0.615,处于中度混交状态,杉木的平均混交度0.519,处于中度混交状态,柏木的平均混交度为0.484,处于弱度混交与中度混交之间。林分中翅荚木和构树的平均大小比数为1,在它们所处的结构单元中处于绝对劣势状态;黄檀、蓝果树和油桐的平均大小比数在0.750~0.856之间,处于劣势状态;刺槐和杉木的平均大小比数在0.5~0.618之间,处于从劣势向中庸过渡状态;柏木、女贞、马褂木、马尾松、黄樟和香椿平均大小比数在0.25~0.5之间,处于从中庸向亚优势过渡状态;林分中,天然更新情况均达到了更新良好的等级,林分处于健康稳定的状态,目前不需要经营。结果为柏木、马褂木和杉木针阔混交林经营提供了理论依据和技术支持。 相似文献

Individuals were selected for resistance against the imperfect fungus Seiridium cardinale Wag in six common cypress populations (Cupressus sempervirens L.) in Greece. A total of 109 resistant clones and 140 trees from their base populations were surveyed at several allozyme loci. The comparison yielded information on changes in genetic variation due to artificial selection. The genetic structure of the breeding populations was similar to their base populations. Nevertheless, the number of rare alleles among the resistant clones had decreased, showing a similar trend at most loci and for most comparisons. Possible implications for breeding strategies are discussed. 相似文献

The seedling establishment of Juniperus procera Hochst. ex Endl. and Afrocarpus gracilior (Pilger) C. N. Page was assessed in the Afromontane forests of Ethiopia. Percent light transmission, litter depth and percentage cover of vegetation were assessed for seedling microsites in five sites with different levels and history of disturbance. The response of natural and artificial regeneration to burning, mechanical scarification (removal of all logging waste and ground vegetation) and cultivation following clear felling and timber extraction was assessed 19 months after treatment.There was no evidence that regeneration was correlated with light intensity. Despite the presence of a viable seed bank in the undisturbed forest floor, removal of the overstorey vegetation by clear felling did not encourage natural regeneration of J. procera. This suggests that light may not be the main factor limiting regeneration of J. procera.Natural regeneration of J. procera can withstand exposure and is compatible with management by ‘clear cutting with seeding from adjacent stands’ together with ground treatment, particularly controlled burning which exposes the minearl soil and releases nutrients. In contrast, both clear felling and surface disturbance will discourage the natural (or artificial) regeneration of A. gracilior suggesting that J. procera is a pioneer species which is more exposure-tolerant, whilst A. gracilior is more shade-tolerant and exposure-intolerant. 相似文献

通过对巨柏天然分布区的样地调查,并结合实验与长期的观测,研究了巨柏的地理分布、物候特性、繁殖特性和光合特性以及个体生态学和群落学特性。结果表明:(1)巨柏分布范围极其狭窄,个体数量十分有限;(2)巨柏雌雄花期不同步,结实率低,种子千粒重仅为2.70g;(3)巨柏种子活力最高只有39.8%,平均只达到34.6%,室内条件下,种子发芽率较低,平均只达到32.67%,巨柏在自然分布区的条件下,种子萌发困难;(4)巨柏苗木适合在23℃、相对湿度60%左右的条件下生长,巨柏自然分布区的条件不利于苗木生长;(5)自然环境条件下,巨柏光合速率表现为单峰形曲线,能有效积累光合产物,为巨柏在逆境中生长创造了有利条件;(6)巨柏群落科属组成丰富,乔木层树种组成单一,种群结构多为衰退型。种子萌发困难、结实率低、外界干扰是导致巨柏濒危的主要原因。除了对迁地保护进行深入研究,扩大繁殖和栽培外,对巨柏的保护应立足于就地保护。 相似文献

通过对宜昌市郊柏木人工林从幼龄林、中龄林至近熟林3个阶段林下植被发育及生物量的研究,结果表明:林下乔木、灌木和草本植物数量有不同程度增加,但常绿树种几乎没有增加;林下灌木层由强阳性种趋向中性种,林下草本层由栗褐苔草和地果占优势变为蕨类植物占优势;柏木更新不良显著影响林下灌木层和草本层平均高度和平均盖度的变化,但总体趋势是增加的,只是平均密度有所下降;林下草本层和死地被物层的生物量呈增加趋势,但受柏木更新不良影响,灌木层生物量呈现出先减少后增加的变化趋势。 相似文献

于不同程度石漠化区的枫香、刺槐和柏木人工林中采集叶片为试材,通过比对3种植物叶片中叶绿素、SOD、丙二醛(MDA)和脯氨酸含量的变化,对石漠化区3种植物抗逆性进行分析评价。结果表明:不同石漠化程度区对植物体内SOD含量的影响显著。在轻度石漠化区,柏木SOD含量最高,刺槐SOD含量最低;在中度石漠化区,柏木SOD含量最高,枫香SOD含量最低;在重度石漠化区,枫香SOD含量最高,刺槐SOD含量最低。刺槐叶片MDA含量与叶绿素含量呈显著负相关,而柏木叶片MDA含量与叶绿素含量则呈显著正相关。 相似文献

应用树木年轮生态学方法研究三峡库区云阳县柏木生长动态,通过交叉定年并滤除遗传因子对生长的影响,建立柏木标准年表和残差年表,并进行年表与气候因子相关性分析。结果表明:云阳县柏木年轮生长与当年春季平均温度之间存在极显著负相关关系,与1,2月的月平均温度之间存在显著负相关关系;月降雨量和湿度指数对柏木生长没有显著影响。柏木鞭角华扁叶蜂的发生与标准年表的相关分析表明柏木叶蜂的发生总面积、柏木感虫率与柏木生长存在显著相关关系。通过多元回归得出云阳柏木年轮指数与气候因子的关系模型,用于柏木生长的预测模拟。 相似文献
