A series of glasshouse experiments was conducted to evaluate the activity of fluazifop-butyl, butyl 2-[4-(5-trifluoromethyl-2-pyridyloxy)phenoxy] propionate, against Elymus repens. Foliar applications of doses 0·25–1·0 kg ha?1 consistently gave better control than did soil applications. The most obvious phytotoxic symptoms were chlorosis and necrosis, beginning with the youngest leaves 5–6 days after spraying, which spread to all leaves within 2 weeks. Translocation was measured by defoliating plants at different times after spraying and assessing regrowth and by evaluating rhizome-bud viability. At low doses (0·125 and 0·25 kg ha?1) translocation to rhizomes occurred mainly between 6 and 48 h. When fluazifop-butyl was sprayed at a dose range of 0·125–1·0 kg ha?1, at least 90% of the rhizome buds had accumulated a lethal dose within 72 h of spraying. In another experiment, with a dose of 0·25 kg ha?1, 31, 72 and 92% of rhizome buds were found to be non-viable when sampled 2, 24 and 48 h respectively after spraying. At 1·0 kg ha?1 all the buds had accumulated sufficient herbicide to prevent sprouting 48 h after spraying.  相似文献

Broadcast sprays of several herbicides were applied at different times of the year at several sites in Hawkes Bay, Canterbury and Otago. For good thistle control, date of application was more important than types of herbicide. In Hawkes Bay, applications made in April, May and June tended to be the most effective. Under slightly cooler Canterbury conditions, April, September and October were the best application dates. In the Otago trials, spring emergence of thistle seedlings meant that the most consistent results came from September or October applications. At all sites, applications made in July or August were relatively ineffective, probably because of low winter temperatures and slow thistle growth rates. MCPA (potassium salt) at 1·0 kg ha?1 was the standard herbicide used in all experiments. MCPA at 0·5 kg ha?1, MCPB (sodium salt) at 0·5 and 1·0 kg ha?1 and 2,4-D at 0·5 kg ha?1 did not kill as many thistles as MCPA at 1·0 kg ha?1. MCPA at 1·5 kg ha?1 and MCPB (butyl) ester + clopyralid at 0·5 + 0·015 or 1·0+0·03 kg ha?1 gave consistently better control than MCPA at 1·0 kg ha?1 2,4-D at 1·0 or 1·5 kg ha?1, MCPB at 1·5 or 2·0 kg ha?1, and MCPA + MCPB at 0·33 + 1·0 or 0·67 + 0·5 kg ha?1 gave results very similar to MCPA at 1 kg ha?1. Thistle control varied between sites and years. Some of the variation may have been due to different proportions of first and second year thistles present at spraying, and to variation in genetically determined herbicide susceptibility. Chemical control of thistles was short term only, because of dormant seeds in the soil.  相似文献

This experiment was conducted to study the effects of foliar application of silicon, sulfur, and flowering fruit set biostimulant on canola in the farmer’s condition in Darzian, 12?km from Marivan city in the northwest of Iran. The experimental layout was designed as a split-split plot in a randomized complete-block design, with three replications during two consecutive growing seasons, 2017–18 and 2018–19. The main factor included silicon application at two levels: control (0: non-application) and silicon application at 2?kg ha?1. Sub-factor was sulfur spraying at three levels (0, 1, and 2?L ha?1) and sub-sub-factor was Tecamin flower (Agri Tecno Fertilizantes, Valencia, Spain) spraying as a flowering fruit set biostimulant at three levels (0, 1, and 2?L ha?1). The results of the combined analysis showed that the number of grains per pod and biomass were increased significantly at the 1% level by silicon application. Sulfur application improved 1000-grain weight, grain yield, and biomass. This increase was 7.42% for grain yield. Tecamin also significantly increased all traits, including fertile and infertile pod numbers, grain number per pod, 1000-grain weight, grain yield, and biomass. As the most important economic traits, Tecamin increased grain yield by 14.12% compared to controls. Among the treatments, the effect of Tecamin on increasing grain yield was superior. In this experiment, some traits were significantly affected by interaction effects of treatments.

Palmer amaranth is a problematic weed in grain sorghum production in central United States. Due to limited herbicide options available and ever increasing herbicide-resistant weed species, there is a demand for new mode-of-action herbicides for use in grain sorghum. Fluthiacet-methyl is a relatively new active ingredient that inhibits the enzyme protoporphyrinogen oxidase in target plants. Field studies were conducted at three sites in central United States in 2010 and 2011 to evaluate crop response and Palmer amaranth control with postemergence application of fluthiacet-methyl in grain sorghum. Treatments included fluthiacet-methyl at 4.8 and 7.2 g active ingredient (a.i.) ha?1 alone and tank-mixed with 2,4-D amine at 260 g acid equivalent (a.e.) ha?1 or atrazine at 840 g a.i. ha?1. Carfentrazone at 8.8 g a.i. ha?1, atrazine at 840 g ha?1, and a non-treated control were also included. Fluthiacet-methyl treatments caused 9–38% crop injury at 4 ± 1 days after treatment. Tank-mixing atrazine with fluthiacet-methyl seldom affected crop injury, while mixing 2,4-D with fluthiacet-methyl often reduced crop injury. Generally, injury caused by fluthiacet-methyl alone or in combination with atrazine or 2,4-D disappeared within 3 weeks after treatment. Grain yields were reduced in one trial, when 2,4-D mixed with 4.8 or 7.2 g ha?1 of fluthiacet-methyl caused 18% and 13% plant lodging and 24% and 14% grain yield loss, respectively. Across site-years, fluthiacet-methyl alone at 4.8 or 7.2 g ha?1 provided 55–95% control of Palmer amaranth. Greater Palmer amaranth control (≥75%) with fluthiacet-methyl alone was achieved when weeds were small or density was low at the time of spraying. Tank-mixing atrazine with fluthiacet-methyl increased Palmer amaranth control and sorghum yields considerably. Tank-mixing 2,4-D with fluthiacet-methyl also increased Palmer amaranth control, but to lesser extent and less consistently than with atrazine. Results indicated that fluthiacet-methyl has potential for use in grain sorghum to combat weeds resistant to acetolactase synthase-inhibitors, triazines, and synthetic auxin herbicides. Tank-mixing atrazine or 2,4-D with fluthiacet-methyl is desirable for effective Palmer amaranth control.  相似文献

Field experiments at Lacombe on a Ponoka loam soil (9·6% organic matter) during 1982 and 1983 investigated the tolerance of spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cv. Neepawa in a weed free situation to trifluralin applied at 0·0–3·0 kg ai ha?1 in the autumn or spring and incorporated to a depth of 10 cm. Rates of trifluralin above 1·0 kg ai ha?1 applied in the autumn or spring reduced the percent stand of wheat compared to an untreated control. Two weeks after emergence the crop showed 37 or 47% injury indicated by delayed growth, following application at 1·0 kg ai ha?1 in the autumn or spring, respectively. The wheat recovered throughout the course of the growing season. At harvest, trifluralin applied in the autumn or spring at rates below 1·0 kg ai ha?1 caused a yield increase while higher rates caused a yield decrease compared to the untreated control. Spring application caused a greater yield loss than autumn application. The tolerance of spring wheat to trifluralin at rates required for weed control (1·1 kg ai ha?1 or higher) on this soil type is marginal.  相似文献

Various control strategies for Achillea millefolium L. (yarrow) were investigated in a dense stand of the weed at Lincoln College in 1977–1978. In early spring plots were either rotary cultivated or left undisturbed. In late spring, plots of both previous treatments were either left undisturbed, rotary cultivated or sprayed with glyphosate at 1·5 kg ha?1. The whole experiment was rotary cultivated twice 1 week later and sown with Hordeum vulgure L. cv. Zephyr (barley) at 144 kg seed ha?1. MCPA + dicamba at 0·9+0·15 kg ha?1 was applied to half of each plot when the second node was detectable (Zadok 32). Rotary cultivation and glyphosate both substantially reduced the regrowth of A. millefolium but glyphosate reduced regrowth by a greater proportion when applied to undisturbed plants than when applied to plants regenerating after cultivation. Both gave a more than 95% reduction compared to the control (rotary cultivation only at sowing time) in the amount of A. millefolium present in the barley stubble in the autumn. MCPA + dicamba caused seedling mortality but did not affect the numbers of primary shoots from rhizome fragments. The grain yield of the barley increased from 2·91 t ha?1 when A. millefolium was not controlled to 4·23 t ha?1 with good control. The barley yield appeared to be restricted by competition from regenerating A. millefolium and by a nitrogen deficiency induced in some regimes by nitrogen immobilization in decaying rhizomes.  相似文献

Losses of about 40% in cane yields due to natural stands of weeds were found in experiments conducted in sugarcane var. Co 527 in the year of planting at Guneid Sugarcane Research Station, Sudan. Weed competition lowered millable stalks per metre row by 32%, stalk height by 24%, stalk thickness by 15% and number of nodes per stalk by 14%. Tillering was the growth phase most affected by weed competition. Cane yields were increased as number of hand weedings increased, but four weedings were not markedly better than three. The average yield (67·04 t ha?1) obtained from four weedings was not significantly (P= 0·05) better than that of three weedings carried out at 3, 6 and 9 weeks after cane planting. Juice analysis components were also affected by weeds and a 15% reduction in sucrose recovery was recorded. Reductions in the other components were only 4–7%. Atrazine and diuron (3·3 kg ha?1), metribuzin (2·4 kg ha?1) and metribuzin (1·3 kg ha?1) in tank mixture with diuron (1·5 kg ha?1) gave excellent residual weed control of the dominant weed species, Ipomoea cordofana Choisy., Brachiaria eruciformis (Sm.) Griseb., Corchorus fascicularis Lam., Ocimum basilicum L. and Dinebra retroflexa (Vahl) Panz., for most of the first growing season. Excellent control of weeds achieved by the herbicide treatments resulted in comparable yields to frequently-weeded cane. These herbicides were not phytotoxic to sugarcane var. Co 527.  相似文献

A field trial was conducted in 1994 to determine the foliar deposit of tebufenozide (RH5992), applied aerially, and its efficacy against spruce budworm, Choristoneura fumiferana (Clem.). A commercial 240 g litre-1 formulation of the insecticide (Mimic 240LV) was mixed with water, dyed with a tracer dye (Rhodamine WT) and sprayed with a light fixed-wing aircraft. Six application strategies were tested. Five used 70 g AI ha-1 in a spray volume of 1 or 2 litre-1 ha-1 with single or double applications; the sixth was an unsprayed control. Results show that the spectra of the spray applications were, with one exception, fairly uniform. Volume and number median diameters ranged from 100 to 130 μm and 27 to 72 μm, respectively. Mean number of drops cm-2 on Kromekote cards were <2·0 for strategies where either 1 or 2 litre ha-1 were sprayed. Nevertheless no one strategy produced droplet densities that were significantly different (P<0·05) from the other strategies. Tebufenozide recovered from foliage averaged 2·5 to 5·9 μg g foliage-1 when 1 litre ha-1 was sprayed and 5·8 to 6·8 μg g foliage-1 after 2 litre ha-1 were sprayed. When a single application was the strategy used, the mean number of droplets cm-2 and μg tebufenozide g foliage-1 ranged from 1·2 to 1·4 and 2·5 to 5·9, respectively. With double applications, the same response parameters ranged from 0·3 to 1·9 and 2·5 to 6·8, respectively. Budworm population reductions (%) and the number of larvae that survived tebufenozide treatments were significantly different (P<0·05) from the controls. After strategies that used 1 litre spray ha-1, mean percentage population reductions ranged from 61·4 to 93·6 whereas populations were reduced by 85·6 to 98·3% when 2 litre ha-1 were sprayed. After double applications the mean percentage population reductions ranged from 93·6 to 98·3, but single application strategies resulted in mean reductions of 61 to 86%. Mean population reductions in the controls were 61%. The mean number of larvae per branch that survived spray strategies of 1 litre ha-1 ranged from 1·3 to 7·4, and from 0·4 to 1·3 when 2 litre ha-1 was the spray volume. In the controls an average of 10·2 larvae survived. With one exception, mean percentage defoliation in the treated areas was also significantly less (P<0·05) than that in the control. Mean defoliation in trees sprayed at 1 litre spray ha-1 ranged from 40 to 62·8% whereas those treated at 2 litre ha-1 had mean defoliation levels from 31·5 to 62·8%. In contrast, average defoliation in the controls was 92·1%. When a single application was the spray strategy, mean defoliation ranged from 31·5 to 62·8%. These data imply that a double application of tebufenozide at 70 g in 2 litre ha-1 was the most efficacious strategy. However, analyses of the data also show that the primary influence on deposits and defoliation was interactions between number of applications and spray. Nevertheless the two independent variables acted without significant interactions when influencing percentage reductions of spruce budworm populations. © 1998 SCI  相似文献

The dissipation of mecoprop in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and oat (Avena sativa L.) was monitored over a growing season following post-emergence application of the dimethylamine salt of mecoprop to each crop at 1·1 kg ha?1. Residues of mecoprop, as its methyl ester, were determined gas chromatographically using electrolytic conductivity detection. Initial residues in wheat (119 (±20) mg kg?1) and oat (95·3 (± 10·0) mg kg?1) on the day of application (four-leaf stage of wheat and four- to five-leaf stage of oat) decreased to 0·1 to 0·2 mg kg?1, respectively, within six weeks. Residues were non-detectable in the mature seed of both crops. Recoveries of mecoprop were in the order of 90% from the green tissue and seed of both crops fortified at 0·05 mg kg?1.  相似文献

We have studied the synergistic action of deltamethrin and prochloraz in bees in laboratory experiments that allowed us to express dosages in terms of field rates (g ha?1). It was established that, used alone, deltamethrin at 0·125 g ha?1 and prochloraz at 25 g ha?1 did not produce mortalities different from that of the control during 96 h of observation. Sprayed as a mixture of these doses, deltamethrin and prochloraz produced 67·5% corrected mortality within 24 h and 74·1% corrected mortality within 50 h. Sequential treatments of deltamethrin and prochloraz spaced by a 0·8-day interval reduced the synergistic action of both molecules. At 50 h, the lethal effects were 27·5% corrected mortality for the treatment of deltamethrin followed by prochloraz and 23·8% corrected mortality for the treatment of prochloraz followed by deltamethrin. Results are discussed in terms of mode of action and sub-lethal effects.  相似文献

Control of Avena fatua (L.) (wild oat) with diclofop methyl applied at 0·7 kg ha?1 at the two-leaf stage and difenzoquat at 0·84 kg ha?1 at the four-leaf stage in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) under field conditions was good and not affected when either of these herbicides was mixed with 3,6-dichloropicolinic acid as the monoethanolamine salt at 0·14, 0·20 or 0·30 kg ha?1. In the glasshouse, mixtures containing 3,6-dichloropicolinic acid at rates as high as 0·6 kg ha?1 also did not affect control of A. fatua. When barban at 0·35 kg ha?1, or flamprop methyl at 0·56 kg ha?1 was mixed with similar rates of 3,6-dichloropicolinic acid and applied at the two-leaf and four-leaf stage of A. fatua respectively, a reduction in control of A. fatua (antagonism) occurred under both field and glasshouse conditions. The herbicides for control of A. fatua did not influence the fresh weight suppression of C. arvense shoots obtained in the glasshouse with 3,6-dichloropico-colinic acid at 0·3 kg ha?1. Early tolerance of wheat (cv. Neepawa) was acceptable with all mixtures. Wheat yields with diclofop methyl or difenzoquat alone or in mixture with 3,6-dichloropicolinic acid were increased over the yields from the A. fatua-infested control.  相似文献

Off-target glyphosate deposits were measured downwind of aerial silvicultural applications which used D8-46 hollow-cone hydraulic nozzles, ‘Micronair’ AU 5000 rotary atomisers, and the ‘Thru Valve Boom’ (030), with volume application rates of 35, 20 and 20 litre ha?1 respectively, and a glyphosate application rate of 2·1 kg ha?1. Crosswind spray lines were released 10 m above ground level over a short forest canopy, from a fixed-wing aircraft flying at 45 m s 1 in atmospheric boundary layers with average wind speeds and air temperatures of 2·2-3·7 m s?1 and 8-23°C at release height. Ground sheets and artificial foliage clusters were exposed at downwind distances of between 50 and 300 m. Glyphosate deposit measurements at various downwind distances (x) were fitted with non-linear regression lines; deposits were attenuated at rates inversely proportional to x at powers of 1·3-2·3. For a particular trial, deposits on ground sheets and artificial foliage were generally similar, and ranged between 19 and 0·04 mg m?2 over the sampling distances used. For 100-ha applications the estimated buffer-zone widths around water bodies were less than 50 m, whereas those around non-target vegetation ranged between 75 and 1200 m, depending on the application method and the meteorological conditions.  相似文献

Pre-emergence activity of pendimethalin on propanil-resistant jungle rice (Echinochloa colona) was demonstrated in glasshouse trials. Both susceptible and resistant populations, collected from Costa Rica, were controlled by 1·25 kg ha-1, the usual application rate used in the field where Rottboellia cochinchinensis is also a problem. When applied post-emergence, propanil performance was improved by the addition of low doses of pendimethalin to the herbicide mixture. A propanil-resistant selection was controlled by 0·23 kg ha-1 pendi-methalin+0·54 kg ha-1 propanil at the one-to-two leaf stage, and 0·23 kg ha-1 pendimethalin+1·08 kg propanil at the three-to-four leaf stage compared to 1·08 kg and 2·16 kg ha-1 respectively when propanil was applied alone. This suggests that pendimethalin improves post-emergence control in the field compared to the standard propanil treatment and can provide residual pre-emergence control of late-germinating individuals, so reducing the propanil selection pressure. For effective jungle rice control, growers apply propanil (3·84 kg ha-1) at 10 and 20 days after planting (DAP) followed by one application of fenoxaprop-P-ethyl (0·045 kg ha-1) at 35 DAP. Field experiments, conducted in dry-seeded upland rice in southern Costa Rica, demonstrated that under high jungle-rice population pressure, one application of pendimethalin at 1·5 kg ha-1 provided an effective replacement for propanil, resulting in reduced weed-control costs. ©1997 SCI  相似文献

Tri-allate degraded faster in soil from a site (T1) that had received 1·7 kg ha?1 of tri-allate annually for 23 years than in soil from an adjacent site (TO) that had received no pesticide application. Soil from the untreated site, which had been removed to a glasshouse and treated three times per annum with tri-allate at 1·7 kg ha?1 for 7 years (T2), also showed faster degradation. Soil previously treated with tri-allate showed an increased degradation rate for carbofuran and EPTC but not for aldicarb. A further experiment, 2 years after the last treatment with tri-allate, showed that the enhanced degradation effect was still present. Degradation rates were always in the order T1 > T2 > T0 for tri-allate, EPTC and carbofuran. Half-life for degradation was reduced for tri-allate and carbofuran by approximately 40% in the previously treated soils and for EPTC by approximately 80% when compared with the previously untreated soil.  相似文献

Experimental granules were made from moistened calcareous loess (pH 8·5) containing 2% w/w gum xanthan and chloramben sodium salt at w/w concentrations of 0·4–3·6%. Haloxyfopmethyl * * Approved WSSA common name.
(DOWCO-453 ME) {Methyl 2-(4-((3-chloro-5-(trifluoromethyl)-2-pyridinyl)oxy)-phenoxy)propanoate) was dissolved in tung oil at a range of concentrations and poured on the dried chloramben granules with stirring. In the glasshouse, dry granules containing chloramben plus haloxyfop-methyl spread pre-emergence at the rate of 0·8 + 0·4 kg ha?1 reduced the dry weight of maize (Zea mays L.), red rice (Oryza sativa L.), Abutilon theophrasti Medic., and Sesbania exaltata (Raf.) Cory by 89, 100, 94, and 68%, respectively, with no injury to soybeans [Glycine max (L.) Merr.]. Coated granules spread pre-emergence controlled A. theophrasti and volunteer maize grown from seed sown in soil up to 10 cm deep. In a preliminary field test, the experimental granules reduced numbers of weeds in soybeans and improved crop yield. Ten weeks after treatment, chloramben granules coated with haloxyfop-methyl gave 97% control of Sorghum halepense (L.) Pers compared to 80% by uncoated granules. Linuron granules coated with haloxyfop-methyl gave 85% control compared to 12% by uncoated granules. Yields in plots treated with coated and uncoated chloramben were 3280 and 2700 kg ha?1, respectively. In coated and uncoated linuron plots, yields were 2920 and 2340 kg ha?1, respectively. Except for the uncoated linuron plot, all yields were significantly higher than 2050 kg ha?1 obtained in the weedy untreated plot.  相似文献

A machine was built to kill reproductive plants (‘bolters’) in sugar beet by high-voltage electricity. A generating system producing 10, 13 or 17 kV each at 54 kW was connected to a set of guarded electrodes spanning twelve rows, suspended 5–15 cm above the top of a sugar-beet crop. With 13 kV the system travelling at 5 km h?1 could clear a light-to-moderate infestation of bolters at a rate of 2·4 ha h?1 with the tractor's diesel-fuel consumption at 3·51 ha?1. In 1979, the electrothermal machine, used twice, reduced viable seed returns by 83%; the flail mower used once or twice by 44 and 76–84%; the wire reel mower used once or twice by 45 and 80–87%; and the roller chemical applicator used once by only 13%. Further trials were made in 1981 with an improved electrothermal machine, a rope wick applicator and a flail mower when all gave over 90% control of viable seeds. The electrothermal machine killed between 38 and 41% of bolters compared with 65% for the chemical applicator. The flail mower did not kill any plants. Although possessing many advantages, the electrothermal machines are heavy and more expensive than alternative methods. Development has ceased in the U.K. on electrical weed control but one company in the U.S.A. is selling such equipment.  相似文献

Petroleum spray oil (2, 4 and 6% in water) was applied to Valencia orange, Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck, for the control of Chinese wax scale, Ceroplastes sinensis del Guercio, using a low-volume ( <2000 litre ha?1)air-blast (LV AB) sprayer, a low- to high-volume (L-HV) (up to 7000 litre ha?1) sprayer with four fan-assisted rotary atomiser (FARA) spray heads mounted on a vertical tower, and a high-volume (>7000 litre ha?1) oscillating boom (HV OB) sprayer. The most effective sprayer was the L-HV FARA sprayer. The most cost-effective treatment was a 20 ml litre?1 (60 litre oil ha?1) spray applied at 3000 litre ha?1 by the L-HV FARA sprayer. It gave mortality equivalent to a standard 20 ml litre?1, 10 700 litre ha?1 spray (214 litre oil ha?1) applied by the HV OB sprayer but with 72% less spray and significantly less oil deposited per cm2 of leaf area. Equivalent or significantly (P = 0·05) higher mortality than that given by the 10 700 litre ha?1 HV OB spray was given by the 40 ml litre?1, 3000 (120 litre oil ha?1) and 60 ml litre?1, 2180 and 3000 litre ha?1 (130·8 and 180 litre oil ha?1) L-HV FARA sprays, but the 60 ml litre?1 sprays deposited more oil per cm2 than the 20 ml litre?1 HV OB spray and were considered to be potentially phytotoxic. The least effective sprayer was the LV AB sprayer, which applied a 60 ml litre?1 spray (57·6 litre oil ha?1) at 960 litre ha?1. Linear relationships were established for Chinese wax scale mortality, transformed using an angular transformation (arcsin proportion), versus log10 spray volume for the 20, 40 and 60 ml litre?1 sprays applied by L-HV FARA at 1260,2180 and 3000 litre ha?1, mortality versus log10 μg oil cm?2 and log10 μg oil versus log10 volume of oil sprayed.  相似文献

In 1980, field inoculations withSeptoria tritici were performed on winter wheat cv. Okapi. Leaf necrosis progress curves were established; they were sigmoid and could be transformed into logit lines. There was a great difference in the slope of the logit lines between inoculated plots and non-inoculated controls. The mid-time values varied according to inoculum dosage and post-inoculation humidity treatment. Yields (kg ha?1) and average grain weights (mg grain?1) differed significantly between inoculated and non-inoculated plots, but seldom among inoculation treatments. Decrease of average grain weight completely explained yield loss, which was 878 kg ha?1 or 12% of control (7045 kg ha?1). This crop loss is considerable for a cultivar which is not particularly susceptible. A good correlation was found between the amount of necrosis at development stages DC=75 and 77 and yield depression. The integral of necrosis over time gave a high correlation with loss of kernel weight.  相似文献

A camera sensor for precision weed control in arable fields has been developed at the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering. For herbicide spraying in carrots, the sensor was positioned at the front three‐point linkage of a tractor and was operated between carrot rows. In field trials in 2 years, real‐time (online) technology in which sensing and spraying were performed in one step was evaluated in comparison with a conventional uniform spraying application. The spray volume was linearly adjusted to the camera‐detected weed coverage level from a minimum of 200 L ha?1 if no weeds were present to a maximum of 400 L ha?1. The herbicide savings were 30% in 2007 and 34%, 43% and 36% for each of three applications in 2010. There were no significant differences between the camera‐based and conventional spraying approaches with regard to yield parameters, total carrot weight and weight of marketable carrots. Regarding the weed control efficiency of the camera‐based spraying procedure in the 2010 experiment, no trend was observed between the weed coverage and the application rate of the previous spraying.  相似文献

In this study, the results of two-year investigations on herbicide resistance in silky bent grass (Apera spica-venti) populations are presented. Two populations of A. spica-venti were sown in a winter wheat field at the Ihinger Hof Research Station near Stuttgart in Germany in October 2008. Whole-plant bioassays conducted with both populations in the greenhouse before the field trial was set up revealed that population A was strongly resistant to acetolactate synthase (ALS)-inhibitors, whereas population B was sensitive to this group of herbicides. Each block was treated with isoproturon, fenoxaprop-P-ethyl, sulfosulfuron and meso-iodosulfuron at the recommended field dose. One treatment remained unsprayed. It was found that the average number of silky bent grass panicles was significantly higher in the second year (2010) with 343 panicles m? 2 in the untreated control compared to 44 panicles m? 2 in the first year (2009). Efficacy of both ALS-inhibitors was significantly reduced in the resistant population compared to the sensitive population. Grass-weed plants surviving treatments with ALS-inhibitors produced the same number of seeds as the untreated plants. It was found that germination rate of seeds from the resistant population was more than threefold higher than from the sensitive population. Grain yield was equal in all treatments and populations in 2009. In 2010, applications of isoproturon and fenoxaprop-P-ethyl resulted in higher grain yields, with a mean of 4.6 t ha? 1 compared to an average of 3.9 t ha? 1 in the plots treated with sulfosulfuron and meso-iodosulfuron and 4.3 t ha? 1 in the untreated plots. However, these differences were not statistically significant. The sensitive population of the second generation (2009/2010) was approximately 20% more tolerant to ALS-inhibitors than the sensitive population of the first generation (2008/2009) which indicates introgression of herbicide resistance traits already after one year. These results clearly show that herbicide resistance to ALS-inhibitors in silky bent grass is likely to spread rapidly causing significant economic losses. Therefore, management strategies need to be developed and tested to prevent and overcome herbicide resistance in European cereal production systems.  相似文献
