Discovered in 1950–51 by two great parisian medical teams, inoculation lymphoreticulosis, also called cat's scratch disease, is locoregional adenite whose aetiology is imperfectly determined. Following, often but not always, cat's scratch, it may evolve to suppuration. Pus is always aseptic. Attributed to Bedsonia's family micro-organism, no cultivation was possible up to date. Evolution is as a rule favourable, but disease is poorly accessible to tetracycline family's antibiotics. Diagnosis is possible by intradermoreaction. The antigen used is tyndallised pus of homologous infection. The role of the cat, still healthy, has not yet been explained.  相似文献

Feline leukemia is a useful model for malignant hematopoïetic tumor studies. It is caused by a type C, RNA virus, the Feline Leukemia virus (FeLV), transmitted horizontally, and widespread in the cat population.The presence of DNA sequences and virus specific RNA expression in cell cultures of SPF cats and cat embryos, indicates a vertical transmission may occur.These FeLV-related sequences in virus negative lymphosarcoma, almost from older cats, indicate that in certain FeLV related diseases the viral replication may not occur. An endogenous ecotropic feline virus may also explain this finding. The absence of FeLV gene expression in some lymphomatous cats—many older—suggest that, in these cats, spontaneous lymphoma may not be caused by FeLV.The widespread occurrence of feline xenotropic endogenous virus RD-114 gene, in feline lymphoma, suggest that expression of certain functions of this virus may be involved etiologically in the development of lymphoid tumors in the cat.Nevertheless, immunisation against FeLV would provide a good prevention against the main part of the feline lymphosarcomas and other FeLV-related diseases. Inactivated FeLV does not provide a good immunisation in young cats. By contrast a good protection against tumoral development is obtained by vaccination using the Feline oncogenic virus cell membrane antigen (FOCMA).  相似文献

The morphological and structural aspects of the Membrana tympaniformis medialis of the syrinx were studied with L.M. and E.M. in 32 female and male Peking ducks from 6 to 12 months old. The membrane is covered by pseudostratified prismatic epithelium which shows different regional features. While at level of the proximal and distal third of the tympanic membrane the morphological and structural aspects of the cells resemble that of the adjacent structures (pessulus and primary bronchi), the middle part of the epithelium layer becomes gradually flattered; the epithelium is made up of oblique or horizontal cells which touch each other by means of many lateral interdigitations. At level of the upper parts of the cells there are several types of cell junctions. This particular disposition seem to be well adapted to the contractions of the syringeal muscles.  相似文献

A study of the influence of thymectomy on the development of endocrine gland derivates from pharyngeal primordia was carried out in Wistar, white rats.
