The fine structure of epididymal and ejaculated spermatozoa from blue fox is analyzed by electron microscopy. The result of this investigation seems to indicate that the blue fox spermatozoon is of the same type as that of the dog. The apical body appears, however, to have a rather characteristic shape and to be more well-developed than found in sperm cells from the usual domestic animals.The other structures studied in the different parts of the blue fox spermatozoon including the head, neck and flagellum displayed the same principal characteristics as those in the sperm cells of other domestic species.In a few cases double development of the middle piece could be observed. 相似文献

为了解蓝狐和水貂被毛携带真菌的情况,采集动物体表7个点上的被毛,接种于沙保劳氏培养基26℃培养2周,对菌落进行宏观和微观鉴定。结果表明,山东昌邑地区健康蓝狐的被毛致病性真菌,检出率占总数的33%,且链格孢霉为优势菌群,皮肤丝状真菌(犬小孢子菌)的带菌率为3.33%(1/33);健康水貂的被毛致病性真菌检出率为26.67%,其中优势真菌为念珠菌,未检出皮肤丝状真菌;对疑似癣病蓝狐的被毛做真菌培养,致病真菌检出率为46%,包括4株犬小孢子菌、3株须毛癣菌。本次调查为临床诊断和治疗提供依据,并具有重要的公共卫生意义。 相似文献

Four blue fox bitches were used in the experiments. Two foxes were given fenchlorphos in the feed, one 100 mg/kg body weight and the other 200 mg/kg daily for 30 days. The maximum inhibition of plasma Cholinesterase was 65 and 69 %, respectively. The corresponding values of the erythrocyte acetylcholinesterase were 43 and 63 %.For the third bitch given 0.4 mg/kg as a single dose i.v. the effect was only measurable as a small transient decrease of the plasma Cholinesterase level.Eighty % of the plasma Cholinesterase of the fourth fox, given 500 mg/kg as a single oral dose, was inhibited on the third day. The erythrocyte acetylcholinesterase activity level only showed a slight decline. This fox vomited during feeding the day after administration.Symptoms as salivation, tremors, diarrhea, pinpoint pupils and respiratory distress were never seen in any of the foxes.It was concluded that fenchlorphos administration in the feed in doses recommended to dogs is well tolerated by healthy foxes as far as Cholinesterase inhibition is concerned. 相似文献

The possible effect of fenchlorphos, 0-0-dimethy1-0-(2.4.5-trichlorophenyl) phosphorothioate, upon the reproductive endocrinology in blue foxes (Alopex lagopus) was investigated. Five females were administered fenchlorphos orally at a dose of 100 mg/kg daily from 10 days before oestrus and up to the 21st day of gestation. This dose represents the therapeutic dose for the treatment of sarcoptic mange. Blood samples were collected for the analyses of progesterone, oestradiol-17β and luteinizing hormone (LH) in plasma. The vixens were ovario-hysterectomized on day 23, except 1 animal in the control group which was operated on day 17. Additionally, sperm quality and mating performance in 3 male blue foxes, which were administered 100 mg/kg fenchlorphos daily during the first 3 weeks of the mating season, were examined.Pregnancy was recorded in 2 medicated and 4 control animals. No pathological changes were observed in the uterus and the ovaries. The plasma concentrations of the hormones were similar to those obtained from the control group. No evidence of any disturbances concerning spermatogenesis in the males was observed. However, their libido appeared to be reduced. None of the males achieved a mating during and after the period of medication. 相似文献

Sera from 32 foxes sampled at intervals varying from 20 to 70 days after oral inoculation with E. cuniculi spores were tested by the india-ink immunoreaction (IIR) and the indirect fluorescent antibody test (IFAT). Using the IFAT, antibodies were detected at low levels in sera sampled on days 20 and 29 post inoculation, whereas the IIR failed to reveal antibodies in the same sera. In sera sampled from day 35 until day 70 post inoculation, antibodies were detected by both tests, the IIR-titres reaching the magnitude of the IFAT-titres after about 50 days posit inoculation.In 14 sera sampled from foxes of at least 46 days of age and with signs of encephalitozoonosis, the tests gave almost identical results.Comparing IIR- and IFAT-determined antibody titres using E. cuniculi antigens of blue fox and rabbit origin in the test, the antigens seemed to be closely related, supporting the suggestion that the isolates are strains of the same microsporidian species. 相似文献

Efficacy of low molecular weight heparin in a canine model of thromboplastin-induced acute disseminated intravascular coagulation 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The aim of this study was to test the efficacy of different dosages of low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) in acute DIC which was induced in anaesthetised dogs by 4 h infusions of a canine lung thromboplastin extract. In all animals during the first 2 h, development of acute DIC was characterised by decreasing fibrinogen concentrations, platelet numbers, factor V- and antithrombin activities. Two hours after starting the thromboplastin infusion, intravenous LMWH treatment in different dosages started in groups 2 and 3 to achieve plasma levels between 0.27+/-0.01 and 0.36+/-0.02 anti-FXaUml(-1) or 0.62+/-0.08 and 0.90+/-0.07 antiFXaUml(-1) (mean+/-SD), respectively, during the time period of parallel administration of thromboplastin and LMWH (group 1=control; 4 dogs/group). In this time period, changes in factor V activity and fibrinogen concentration did not differ between group 2 and the control group. This was in contrast to group 3. The results of this study indicate that an efficacious interruption of the consumption reaction in cases of severe canine DIC requires high plasma heparin levels. 相似文献

Differential leukocyte (WBC) counts in blood from clinically healthy silver foxes (n=32) and blue foxes (n=37) obtained from an automated hematology analyzer (Technicon H*1 Hematology System) with canine software were compared with microscopic differential WBC counts (M-diff). There was good agreement between the automated differential cell count (A-diff) and the M-diff for neutrophil and lymphocyte percentages. The correlation was lower for monocyte percentages and variable for eosinophil percentages. There was no significant difference between the A-diff and M-diff in either fox species. The A-diff counts were very precise, and may be a good alternative to the traditional M-diff for screening populations of clinically healthy foxes or for studies on stress and animal welfare. 2006-2007年期间,山东6地区规模化毛皮动物养殖场出现母狐空怀、流产,幼狐呼吸困难,鼻孔出血,气喘并伴有腹泻、死亡等症状,为探明病因,对发病场进行流行病学调查和送检的236份病料组织进行病原学检查,结果表明造成该病的主要原因是由绿脓杆菌(Pseudomonas aerudinosa)、沙门菌(Salmonella)、大肠杆菌(Escherichia coli)和普通变形杆菌(Proteus vulgaris)共感染所致.这4种细菌单独感染、二重感染、三重感染和四重感染的平均感染率分别为50%、45.8%、3.8%和0.4 0%.在分离的4种细菌中以绿脓杆菌的分离率为最高,达到86%,对该痛原又进行(G+C)mol%、16SrRNA序列同源性和系统发育分析,构建了包括9株邻近种属细菌在内的系统发育树,其中与绿脓杆菌(AJ249451)同源性最高,为99.2%,进一步确定该病原菌属于假单胞菌属中绿脓杆菌.本研究为目前规模化毛皮动物养殖场蓝狐病的原因提出了新的思路,为疾病的防治提供了依据. 相似文献

Abstract Fertility traits have been included in the Finnish blue fox breeding goal for several generations. However, genetic trend in reproductive performance has been undesired due to unfavorable correlations to other important traits such as animal size (AS). The aim of this study was to estimate genetic parameters for pregnancy rate (PREG) and felicity (FEL), and their genetic correlations to litter size (LS) and AS. The estimated heritabilities were low for PREG (0.028) and FEL (0.049). The genetic correlations between LS and PREG (0.63), and LS and FEL (0.75) were clearly positive. Thus, on an average females having genetically larger LS have higher PREG and FEL. The genetic correlation between AS and PREG was close to zero (?0.05), but correlation between AS and FEL was moderate (?0.27) indicating that larger animals are more likely barren or to lose their pups during pregnancy or right after birth. 相似文献

本研究采用微量中和实验的方法,对30日龄、45日龄、60日龄幼狐的传染性脑炎母源抗体进行检测。结果显示,30日龄幼狐的传染性脑炎母源抗体水平较高,中和抗体平均效价为1:48.3;在45日龄断乳期该母源抗体平均中和抗体效价显著下降到1:18.3;在60日龄该母源抗体基本消失,多数中和抗体效价低于1:2.9。实验结果表明,45-50日龄对幼狐进行传染性脑炎疫苗首免,能避开免疫空白期和母源抗体干扰,获得较好免疫效果。 相似文献

Mural necrotic lesions were produced in renal afferent arteries in rabbits, pigs and blue foxes, by intravenous injections of Liquoid. These lesions were frequently accompanied by thrombosis in the affected arterial segments and invariably by “microthrombosis” in glomerular capillaries. Mural arterial lesions were always present in cases with evident macroscopic necrotic changes of the renal cortex. Necrotic arterial lesions, with thrombosis, were also observed in pulmonary arteries in all the animal species used in these experiments, i.e. rabbit, pig, blue fox, mouse and ferret. 相似文献

The frequency of eye infections in the Finnish blue fox population has increased during the past decade. Eye infection may incur economic losses to producers due to reduced selection intensity, but ethical aspects need to be considered as well because eye infection can be quite painful and reduce animal well‐being. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential for genetic selection against susceptibility to eye infection. The data were collected from 2076 blue foxes at the MTT fur animal research station. Genetic parameters were estimated using single‐ and multiple‐trait animal models. The heritability estimate for eye infection was analysed as a binary trait (EYE) and was moderate (0.24 ± 0.07). EYE had a moderate antagonistic genetic correlation (–0.49 ± 0.20) with grading density (thick underfur). The genetic correlation of EYE with grading size or body condition score was estimated without precision, but all size traits had a low antagonistic phenotypic correlation with EYE. Our results suggest that there is genetic variance in susceptibility to EYE, indicating that eye health can be improved through selection. The current recommendation is that the sick animals should be culled immediately. If more efficient selection is needed, the selection index and multiple‐trait animal models can be applied in breeding for better eye health. 相似文献

Plasma fibronectin concentrations were significantly (P less than 0.001) below the reference range in dogs with disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) secondary to nonlymphomatous neoplasia, acute necrotizing pancreatitis, sepsis, chronic active hepatitis, and heat stroke. There was no statistical evidence of a group effect. Decrease in fibronectin concentration was associated with severe DIC, although no attempt was made to correlate fibronectin concentration with prognosis. These findings parallel those reported for severely ill human beings with diseases associated with DIC. They exemplify the potential of spontaneous diseases in animals as models for the study of human disease. 相似文献

Clinical signs and haematological abnormalities of haemophagocytic syndrome of unknown origin are described for a male, nine-year-old rottweiler referred because of weakness, depression, mild weight loss and relapsing fever. Mucous membranes were pale and the spleen was enlarged. Ultrasonography revealed diffuse irregular structures in the enlarged spleen, and cytologlcal examination of multiple fine needle aspirates of the spleen demonstrated extramedullar haematopoiesis. Haematological examination revealed pancytopenia and disseminated intravascular coagulation. A bone marrow smear contained numerous marrow macrophages with a cytologically benign appearance, containing phagocytosed haematopoietic cells. The dog died one week after referral. A 2-year-old intact female miniature Pinscher weighing 1.7 kg with a body condition score of 2/5 was presented for acute vomiting, lethargy for 2 days, and large petechial skin lesions on the hip region including the tail. Acute pancreatitis was diagnosed by clinical signs, strong positive cPLI test, laboratory test and ultrasound appearance. While the clinical signs associated with acute pancreatitis had improved in 3–5 days, lesion of petechial appeared on the left hip region 7 days after the presentation, with a fast progression into a necrotic tissue along the left side hip. Allogenic platelet rich plasma (PRP) with Weibrich and Kleis method was administered to promote skin healing and regeneration. Gradual and complete improvement in the dog’s wound lesions was noted approximately 1 month after applying allogeneic topical PRP. In this case report, allogeneic PRP was applied to a large regional cutaneous defect caused by coagulopathy induced by acute pancreatitis. Topical application of PRP in this case was unique in that allogeneic PRP was used instead of autologous PRP for the first time in cutaneous soft-tissue wound management in the veterinary medical field. 相似文献

The serum proteins in 1 group of healthy breeders, 1 group of healthy pups and 4 groups of foxes suffering from various diseases were separated electrophoretically on cellulose acetate membranes. In most of the sera, the proteins were separated into 1 albumin fraction and 5 globulin fractions designated alpha1, alpha2, alpha3, beta and gamma. The mean concentrations of the total proteins and the various serum fractions in the disease groups were compared statistically with the mean values of the normal groups.A nosematosis group was characterized by a distinct hypergammaglobulinaemia together with an increase in the total protein — and a decrease in the albumin concentrations. However, in 2 cubs recovering from nosematosis the hypergammaglobulinaemia was shown to be reversible.In a feed intoxication group the concentration of albumin was found to be lower and the alpha3-globulin higher than the corresponding values in the healthy group. A virus hepatitis group was characterized by a decrease in the concentrations of albumin and beta-globulin and an increase in the alpha1- and alpha3-globulins. In the toxoplasmosis group the total protein and alpha1- and alpha3-globulins showed concentrations below the normal values. 相似文献

BACKGROUND: There is considerable variation in the coagulation profile of dogs with disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), making it difficult to assess overall hemostatic function. OBJECTIVES: To characterize the overall hemostatic state in dogs with DIC, by use of tissue factor-activated thromboelastography (TF-TEG), and to determine whether there is an association between hemostasis and outcome. ANIMALS: 50 dogs with DIC. METHODS: Dogs admitted to the intensive care units, with an underlying disease known to predispose to DIC, were prospectively assessed with TF-TEG. Citrated blood samples were collected daily during hospitalization and an extended coagulation panel and TF-TEG were performed. Diagnosis of DIC was based on expert opinion. RESULTS: Hemostatic dysfunction was observed on the TF-TEG profile in 33/50 of the dogs, of which 22/50 were hypercoagulable and 11/50 were hypocoagulable based on the TF-TEG G value alone. There were significant differences in k, alpha, and MA values (P < .0001) among hypo-, normo-, and hypercoagulable dogs. There was a significant difference in case fatality rate between hypo- (64%) and hypercoagulable (32%) dogs (relative risk = 2.38; P= .04). Dogs that died had significantly lower antithrombin activity (P= .03) and higher d-dimer concentration (P= .03) than survivors. CONCLUSIONS: The most common overall hemostatic abnormality in dogs diagnosed with DIC was hypercoagulability, and there was significant difference in survival between hyper- and hypocoagulable dogs. The results suggest TF-TEG is valuable in the assessment of hemostatic function in dogs diagnosed with DIC. 相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To determine sensitivity and specificity of assays of D-dimer concentrations in dogs with disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) and healthy dogs and to compare these results with those of serum and plasma fibrin-fibrinogen degradation product (FDP) assays. ANIMALS: 20 dogs with DIC and 30 healthy dogs. PROCEDURE: Semi-quantitative and quantitative D-dimer concentrations were determined by use of latex-agglutination and immunoturbidometry, respectively. Fibrin-fibrinogen degradation products were measured by use of latex-agglutination. A reference range for the immunoturbidometric D-dimer concentration assay was established; sensitivity and specificity of the assay were determined at 2 cutoff concentrations (0.30 microg/ml and 0.39 microg/ml). RESULTS: Reference range for the immunoturbidometric D-dimer concentration assay was 0.08 to 0.39 microg/ml; median concentrations were significantly higher in dogs with DIC than in healthy dogs. Latex-agglutination D-dimer and serum and plasma FDP assays had similar sensitivity (85 to 100%) and specificity (90 to 100%); the immunoturbidometric assay had lower specificity (77%) at the 0.30 microg/ml cutoff and lower sensitivity (65%) at the 0.39 microg/ml cutoff. Sensitivity or specificity of the latex-agglutination D-dimer assay was not significantly improved when interpreted in series or parallel with FDP assays. CONCLUSIONS AND CLINICAL RELEVANCE: Measurement of D-dimer concentrations by latex-agglutination appears to be a sensitive and specific ancillary test for DIC in dogs. Specificity of D-dimer concentrations in dogs with systemic disease other than DIC has not been determined, therefore FDP and D-dimer assays should be performed concurrently as supportive tests for the diagnosis of DIC in dogs. 相似文献

The incidence of DIC in 208 dogs with a malignant tumor was evaluated. The incidence of DIC was 9.6% in dogs with a malignant tumor which was a solid tumor in all. In 164 dogs with a malignant solid tumor, the incidence of DIC was 12.2%. The incidence of DIC in dogs with hemangiosarcoma, mammary gland carcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the lung was significantly higher than that in dogs with other malignant tumors. These results suggested that special care in looking for DIC should be taken in dogs with a malignant solid tumor. 相似文献
