In this paper, the effects of low temperature plasma (LTP) treatment on the dyeing properties of the wool fiber were studied. The wool fibers were treated with oxygen plasma and three types of dye that commonly used for wool dyeing, namely: (i) acid dye, (ii) chrome dye and (iii) reactive dye, were used in the dyeing process. For acid dyeing, the dyeing rate of the LTP-treated wool fiber was greatly increased but the final dyeing exhaustion equilibrium did not show any significant change. For chrome dyeing, the dyeing rate of the LTP-treated wool fiber was also increased but the final dyeing exhaustion equilibrium was only increased to a small extent. In addition, the rate of afterchroming process was similar to the chrome dyeing process. For the reactive dyeing, the dyeing rate of the LTP-treated wool fiber was greatly increased and also the final dyeing exhaustion equilibrium was increased significantly. As a result, it could conclude that the LTP treatment could improve the dyeing behavior of wool fiber in different dyeing systems.  相似文献

Reactive dyes are used widely in cotton dyeing process. Reactive dyeing uses high amounts of inorganic salts to accelerate dye exhaustion. These salts are then discharged to the effluent, leading to serious environmental problems. Biodegradable organic salts can alternatively be used in the dyeing process. In this paper, a new liquid organic salt was synthesized by acid-base neutralization, which was used to replace inorganic salts in reactive dyeing. Dye exhaustion in organic salt dyeing was similar to the values in conventional dyeing. However, dye fixations were slightly lower in organic salt dyeing than in conventional dyeing. The washing fastness of dyed fabrics with organic salt was excellent. Experimental results showed that dye exhaustion reached the maximum value when the concentration range of organic salt was from 20 g/l to 40 g/l. In addition, the optimal alkali concentration in organic salt dyeing was found to be about 30 g/l. These parameters suggested organic salt could replace inorganic salt in reactive dyeing process.  相似文献

Polyacrylonitrile nanofibers were produced using the electrospinning method and dyed with a basic dye alongside regular polyacrylonitrile fibers. In order to investigate the effect of high surface area to volume ratio of nanofibers on their adsorption behavior in comparison with regular fibers, the dyeing conditions for both types of fibers were kept just the same. Physiochemical parameters of dyeing such as adsorption isotherm, standard affinity, enthalpy change, rate of dyeing constant, diffusion coefficient, and activation energy of diffusion were investigated for both types of fibers. The results showed that the adsorption process can be well described with the Langmuir adsorption isotherm for both types of fibers whereas the standard affinity of dye to nanofibers was higher than regular fibers and the higher negative values of enthalpy changes were obtained for regular fibers. The nanofibers rate of dyeing was faster than regular fibers with higher amounts of diffusion coefficients and lower amounts of activation energy of diffusion. This study also revealed that in spite of the approximately same amount of dye exhaustion for both types of fibers, the color strength of regular fibers was noticeably higher than nanofibers.  相似文献

Wool/cotton union fabric was dyed with a direct dye in union shade. The dyeing was performed in a single bath in relation to four factors: leveling agent (Lyogen SMKI, 0–1.5 % oww), electrolyte (sodium sulfate, 0–10 %), dyeing temperature (85–95 °C), and dyeing time (15–60 min). The dyeing was characterized by dye bath exhaustion (%), color strength (K/S value), washing fastness, and light fastness of dyed sample. Response surface analysis showed that the exhaustion of direct dye increased with electrolyte, dyeing temperature, and dyeing time while the K/S value followed a linear shape with leveling agent and dyeing temperature. An optimized recipe was formulated based on response surface strategy and numerical optimization solution.  相似文献

Dyeing and color fastness properties of a reactive disperse dye containing an acetoxyethylsulphone group on PET, Nylon, silk and N/P fabrics were examined. The reactive disperse dye exhibited almost the same dyeing properties on PET fabric as a conventional disperse dye except the level of dye uptake. The most appropriate pH and dyeing temperature for the dyeing of Nylon fabric were 7 and 100°C respectively. The build-up on Nylon fabric was good and various color fastnesses were good to excellent due to the formation of the covalent bond. Application of the reactive disperse dye on silk fabric at pH 9 and 80°C yielded optimum color strength. The rate of dyeing on Nylon fabric was faster than that on PET fabric when both fabrics were dyed simultaneously in a dye bath, accordingly color strength of the dyed Nylon was higher. The reactive disperse dye can be applied for one-step and one-bath dyeing of N/P mixture fabric with good color fastness.  相似文献

In this study, mild acid based chelating agents (glycolic acid, gluconic acid, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, and citric acid) were used for the dyeing of polyester fabrics with metal sensitive disperse dye in closed dyeing process. The chelating and pH adjustment efficiencies were compared in disperse dyeing condition. In the comparative analysis with different chelating agents, glycolic acid showed a higher chelation efficiency and consequently showed higher dye bath exhaustion and color strength. Slight differences in the color fastness of the dyed samples obtained by employing four different chelating agents were observed.  相似文献

The effect of hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HPβCD) in the dyeing of polyamide fabric was investigated under conditions that mimic industrial dyebaths where dye mixtures are used. The dyes used were Telon Red BN, Telon Yellow A-2R, and Telon Blue RR. The blue dye complexed with HPβCD whereas the other dyes did not do so under the conditions used. The dyeing results were compared with those obtained using a traditional retarding agent, Albegal B. The exhaustion dyeing data showed that HPβCD mainly affected the dyeing behavior of the blue dye that became encapsulated. In the case of the yellow and red dyes, changes in the overall kinetics of dyeing were observed, resulting in modified exhaustion profiles. In comparison, Albegal B retarded the blue dyeing process and increased the rate of exhaustion of the yellow dye while the exhaustion curve of red dye remained unchanged. The color uniformity of the dyed polyamide was improved when HPβCD was used. This resulted from the more controlled exhaustion rate during the critical phase of the dyeing process.  相似文献

Reactive dye is a popular dye for dyeing cotton fiber due to its very good color fastness which is explained by the formation of covalent bond between dye and fiber. In this study, practicality of reuse of reactive dye by compensating for the hydrolyzed part of the dye solution is examined. A monofunctional dye (vinyl sulfone type) was used and it was found that dyeing cotton fiber with reused dyebath is possible. Since bifunctional dye can improve the chance of dye-fiber bond formation, vinyl sulfone based bifunctional reactive dyes were also selected in this study. Three types of bifunctional dyes were used and they basically share the same vinyl sulfone group; other reactive groups are monochlorotriazine, dichlorotriazine and vinyl sulfone. Such dyes were chosen in order to compare their respective efficiencies under the effect of one common reactive group. The aim of this study was to compare the effect of hydrolyzed and unhydrolyzed proportions of mono-and bifunctional reactive dyes on cotton fiber and study the possibility and efficiency of the two different reuse dyebath systems.  相似文献

This study evaluated the extraction of two colors of dye (yellow and brown) from Coreopsis tinctoria flower petals using ultrasound and the dyeing of leather with the extracted dyes as a source of nontoxic and eco-friendly dye. The results showed an increase in the dye extraction values with increasing time at 100 W ultrasonic power at 80 °C for 1 h. Leather dyeing was optimized with the aid of ultrasound and magnetic stirring. The optimum leather dyeing conditions, with respect to the dye uptake, dye penetration and intensity of the color, were determined to be 12 % dye concentration, 100 W power, 1,000 rpm, and pH 7.0 for 60 min at 80 °C. It was shown that sonication improves dye exhaustion from a 90 % to 60 % rating for 1 h of dyeing time. The dyed leather was assessed by reflectance measurements and compared with visual assessment data. The fastness properties of dyed leather samples showed good fastness against washing, light, and dry and wet rubbing. The strength properties were not significantly altered and the bulk properties, such as softness, were found to be improved by the use of Coreopsis tinctoria yellow and brown dyes using an ultrasonic and magnetic stirring dyeing process.  相似文献

The dye-resist effect of reactive dye-resist agents in acid dyeing of silk was investigated. The dye-resist agent containing dichlorotriazine achieved a higher resist effectiveness than others since they make a charge barrier against diffusion in the silk fiber periphery due to the high reactivity of dichlorotriazine group. Especially, the increase in the number of ionic groups in acid dyes leads to better electrostatic repulsion of reactive dye resist agent treated silk and thus improves the resist effectiveness. However, the hydrophobicity effect of acid dyes on the dye-resist properties was relatively minor.  相似文献

In the present research, a method of assessing relative compatibility rating of single and binary mixtures of walnut green shell, cochineal, and weld natural dyes on aluminum pre-mordanted woolen yarns was proposed, where a proportion of the calculated diffusion coefficients of dyes was postulated. To calculate the diffusion coefficient values, the uptake behavior of dyes was derived as the K/S and the exhaustion curves by dyeing the woolen yarn samples with the individual dye as well as with the mixtures of dyes obtained from practical conditions of dyeing. A typical method was employed to dye the samples at two temperatures of 80 and 95 oC. The method proposed for determination of the compatibility of dyes was more verified at higher temperature, that is, 95 oC, against a conventional method of solution analysis. The results of compatibility showed that the selected binary mixtures of cochineal-weld have an excellent compatibility. The other mixtures, that is, walnut green shell-cochineal and walnut green shell-weld showed weak-moderate and very weak compatibility, respectively.  相似文献

In this paper, the effect of water hardness, expressed in CaCO3 equivalent, on the dyeing silk with acid dye under acid, alkaline and isoelectric point dyeing conditions was studied by zeta potential method. Under acid condition and in the presence of calcium ion, the positive zeta potential of silk was found to decrease with a reduction in the dye adsorption. Such a phenomenon might be due to the presence of cation which increased the dyeing potential barrier at the interface between fibre and dye solution. This would result in a higher resistance of dye anions passing through the interface. Under alkaline condition, the zeta potential on silk was negative and resulted in a strong potential barrier for the dye anions. The presence of calcium ion would result in a decrease in the absolute value of zeta potential of silk fibre with an overall increase in dye absorption. Under isoelectric point, the zeta potential of silk fibre was found to be near zero and dye adsorption was not influenced by the cations. When studying the effect of calcium ion on the silk dyeing with acid dye under acid, alkaline and isoelectric point dyeing conditions, it was found that calcium ions influenced dye exhaustion and fixation greatly under acidic and alkaline dyeing conditions, which such influence became much smaller when the pH of dyebath was at the isoelectric point of the fibre. These results showed that calcium ion could produce strong electrolytic effect on dyeing even under very low concentrations.  相似文献

4-Amino-double(octadecyldimethyl ammonium chloride)-1,2,4-triazole (ADAC-TZ), a gemini cationic auxiliary with a heterocyclic triazole structure, was designed and synthesized by the method described here and characterized for use in the cold pad batch dyeing of cotton knits. The results show that, for ADAC-TZ, the critical micelle concentration (CMC) is 4.0×10-4 mol/l, the Krafft point is 29.8 °C, the foam height is only 169 mm/5 min, and the solubilization for toluene is 6.67 ml/g, which means that ADAC-TZ exhibits excellent low-foaming, water solubility and solubilization properties. The present research also demonstrates that ADAC-TZ pretreatment can increase the K/S value, dye fixation, and color fastness to washing and rubbing of cotton knits dyed through BES reactive dye cold pad batch dyeing used in combination with the alkaline agent QF-4.  相似文献

The dyeing and color fastness properties of levelling type acid dye, milling type acid dye, metal complex dye and reactive dye on ultrafine nylon, polyurethane fiber/film and their mixtures were investigated. Ultrafine nylon was dyed well with four types of dye at pH 3-6, but levelling type acid dye showed low washing fastness. Amine-rich polyurethane fiber exhibited enhanced dyeability due to amino groups which acted as dyeing sites, compared to regular polyurethane fiber. In simultaneous dyeing with milling type acid dye and metal complex dye, amine-rich polyurethane fiber absorbed more dye molecules than ultrafine nylon, the color difference between two fibers were apparent. Polyurethane-impregnated ultrafine nylon was also prepared and its build-up properties were determined. It was found that polyurethane whose soft segment was composed of polytetramethylene glycol (PTMG) and polypropylene glycol (PPG) showed improved dyeing property and subsequently high color strength.  相似文献

The microbial transglutaminase (mTGase) is used as a bio-catalyst to repair the wool damages caused by chemical or enzymatic treatments. In this paper, the effect of mTGase on the degree of yarn strength, area shrinkage, wettability, and the dyeing properties of wool was investigated. Through mTGase treatment, the yarn strength was improved about 22.2 %. The knitted wool fabrics treated with mTGase after pretreatment of H2O2 and protease displayed 7.5 % of area shrinkage and about 22.3 % recovery in tensile strength when compared with those treated without mTGase. Also, mTGase treatment could improve the wettability and dyeing properties of wool fabrics. With the increase of mTGase concentration, the initial dye exhaustion increased significantly and the time to reach the dyeing equilibrium was shortened. It was evident that the improvement of dyeing properties was closely related to the improvement of wettability performance of wool fabric by using transglutaminase.  相似文献

In this study salt-free dyeing cotton fabric was achieved by grafting thiourea to cotton fibers, where the thiourea grafted cotton fabric (TUGCF) was prepared by epoxidizing cotton fibers with epichlorohydrin in water and subsequently grafting in aqueous solution of thiourea. Fourier transform infrared spectra (FTIR) and XPS of the TUGCF indicated that a great amount of epoxy groups from the epoxidized cotton fibers reacted with amino groups from thiourea. The TUGCF fabric prepared at the optimum condition and subsequently dyed with reactive dyes in the absence of salt displayed significantly enhanced color strength, showing better dyeing properties when compared with the untreated cotton fabric dyed with conventional methods, in terms of washing fastness, rubbing fastness, and levelness. It was found that the dyeing performance of Reactive Red B-3BF followed a Langmuir-type adsorption curve when used to salt-free dye the TUGCF.  相似文献

In order to produce deep shades of colour, ramie fibre was subjected to pretreatment by cationization, caustic mercerization (slack and tension condition), and liquid ammonia mercerization. The untreated and pretreated samples were dyed with 0.5 to 7 % concentrations (on mass of fiber (o.m.f)) of Liyuansol Red FL-2BL reactive dye. The dyeing properties of dye exhaustion, fixation, colour uniformity, wash fastness, and rubbing fastness were investigated. The results indicated that these pretreatments improved dye exhaustion and fixation on ramie fibre, with no loss of fastness. For the untreated and treated substance, the amount of dye mass absorption increased linearly with increased dye o.m.f. Cationic treatment improved performance, with 89 % and 98 % for exhaustion and fixation, respectively, and the maximum K/S values of all fibers receiving pretreatment. The colour uniformity was acceptable and similar for the untreated and treated ramie fibers, with the exception of cationic-treated fabric dyed at 7 % dye o.m.f that showed a high standard deviation value of colour uniformity. The Freundlich and Langmuir adsorption isotherm models were also used to study the adsorption of dye on ramie fibre; all of the adsorption processes fit the Freundlich model.  相似文献

A series of hot brand monoazo reactive dyes (9a-l) were obtained by the coupling of diazotized 1Hbenzo[ g]pyrazolo[3,4-b]quinoline-3-ylamine (5) with various cyanurated coupling components (8a-l) in good yield. Synthesized dyes were characterized by various spectroscopic techniques. Their dyeing performances as reactive dyes have been assessed on silk, wool, and cotton fabrics. The percentage dye bath exhaustion and fixation on different fibers were found to be very good. The dyed fabric showed moderate to very good light fastness and good to excellent washing and rubbing fastness properties. Spectral properties and colorimetric data of synthesized dyes have also been studied in detail.  相似文献

Two proteolytic enzymes were used as auxiliaries in the dyeing of wool fabrics with acid dyes. The effect of the enzymes on dye exhaustion (%E) and dye uptake (K/S) was studied at 70, 85, and 98 °C and compared to the corresponding values obtained for the control samples which were dyed without enzymes under the same conditions. Two commercially available dyeing auxiliaries commonly used for the dyeing of wool at low temperatures were also used under the same conditions and compared with the dyeings made with and without enzymes. Treatment with transglutaminase was done in order to compensate the damaging effects of protease. The study shows that the enzymes could be used as auxiliaries in the dyeing of wool at lower temperatures.  相似文献

The dyeing of cationized cotton fabric with 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyltrimethyl ammonium chloride 69% (Quat 188) using Cochineal dye was studied using both conventional and ultrasonic techniques. Factors affecting dye extraction and dye bath exhaustion were investigated. The results indicated that the dye extraction by ultrasound at 300 W was more effective at lower temperatures and times than conventional extraction. Also, the colour strength values obtained were found to be higher with ultrasound than with conventional techniques. However, the results showed that the fastness properties of the dyed fabrics with ultrasound are similar to those of the conventional dyed fabrics. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were measured for cationized cotton fabrics dyed with both conventional and ultrasound techniques, thus showing the sonicator efficiency.  相似文献
