Abstract

Different mechanical cultivations and herbicide treatments were compared for controlling Ischaemum afrum in a heavily infested fallow area. Of the mechanical cultivations, disc ploughing to a depth of more than 15 cm, following removal of tufts and watering, was found very effective (83% reduction). Incorporated pre-emergence triluralin (1.90 kg a.i./ha) alone or in tank mixtures with oxadiazon (0.95 + 0.95 kg a.i./ha) was also found promising (79 and 76% reduction respectively). Three applications of dalapon (8.09 kg a.i./ha), as post-emergence, at two weekly intervals or two applications followed by another application at 4.05 kg a.i./ha gave almost complete eradication of Ischaemum afrum seedlings for about 12 weeks (99% reduction).  相似文献

Foot rot and crown rot are fungal diseases of wheat caused by a complex of Fusarium species. They have a huge economic impact mainly due to yield reduction. A survey was conducted to identify four Fusarium species, occurring on wheat stem bases, using species-specific PCR assays in samples collected during spring of 2012. The dominant species was F. graminearum, which was identified in above 64 % of samples. F. culmorum was detected in 15.71 %, F. poae in 15.71 % and F. sporotrichioides in 5.71 % wheat fields. Most of the wheat fields in the eastern Poland were infected with at least one or two of Fusarium species, while in central Poland no Fusarium species were identified in most of the fields. The presence of F. graminearum tends to favor the presence of F. culmorum and this effect was visible also for F. poae and F. sporotrichioides. The frequency of F. graminearum and F. culmorum detections were highest where wheat crops were preceded by maize and in the samples from late sown fields. The opposite observation was made for F. poae and F. sporotrichioides, where the number of detections of these species was higher in samples from early sown fields. The number of detected Fusarium species was significantly lower in samples collected from fields protected with autumn herbicide in comparison to unprotected fields. The rate of autumn N fertilization did not affect the number of Fusarium detections.  相似文献

The distribution of 14C-acid-, 14C-alcohol-, and 14C-cyano-labeled deltamethrin and selected metabolites were followed in the liver, blood, cerebrum, cerebellum, and spinal cord after iv administration of a toxic, but nonlethal dose (1.75 mg/kg) to rats. Approximately 50% of the dose was cleared from the blood within 0.7–0.8 min, after which the rate of clearance decreased. 3-Phenoxybenzoic acid (PBacid) was isolated from the blood in vivo, and was also the major metabolite when 14C-alcohol-labeled deltamethrin was incubated with blood in vitro. Deltamethrin levels in the liver peaked at 7–10 nmol/g at 5 min and then decreased to 1 nmol/g by 30 min. In contrast, peak central nervous system levels of deltamethrin were achieved within 1 min (0.5 nmol/g), decreasing to 0.2 nmol/g at 15 min, and remaining stable until 60 min. peak levels of deltamethrin did not correspond to the severity of toxicity, although the levels of non-pentane-soluble radiolabel did appear to correlate with motor signs of toxicity. Experiments with brain homogenates, using in vivo concentrations of deltamethrin, failed to reproduce the pentane-unextractable radioactivity in vitro nor was any metabolism demonstrated.  相似文献
