The herbicide isoproturon [3‐(4‐isopropylphenyl)‐1,1‐dimethylurea] was incorporated in alginate‐based granules to obtain controlled‐release (CR) properties. The basic formulation (sodium alginate (1.87%)–isoproturon (0.67%) in water) was modified by addition of different sorbents. The effect on isoproturon release rate, modified by the incorporation of natural and acid‐treated bentonite in alginate formulation, was studied by immersion of the granules in water while shaking. The release of isoproturon was diffusion‐controlled. The time taken for 50% of the active ingredient to be released into water, T50, was longer for those formulations containing added bentonite (5.98 and 7.43 days, for natural and acid‐treated (1 M H2SO4) bentonite, respectively) than for the preparation without bentonite (3.78 days). The mobilities of non‐formulated technical grade (98%) and formulated isoproturon were compared using soil columns. The use of alginate‐based CR formulations containing bentonite reduced isoproturon movement compared with the technical product. Sorption capacity of the soil for isoproturon was measured using batch experiments (0.29 litre kg−1) and the results obtained here in agreement with those obtained under dynamic conditions. © 2000 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

The mobility of imidacloprid [1-(6-chloro-3-pyridinyl)methyl]-N-nitro-2-imidazolidinimine] from alginate-based controlled-release (CR) formulations was investigated in two different soil profiles. In one, a layered bed system simulating the typical arrangement under a plastic greenhouse, which is composed of sand, peat, amended soil and native soil, was used. In the other, the layer containing amended soil was used in order to determine the mobility of the insecticide in a soil system with a low content of organic matter and a high content of clay. Two CR formulations based on sodium alginate (1.87% wt/wt), imidacloprid (1.21%), natural or acid-treated bentonite (3.28%), and water (93.64%) were compared to technical grade imidacloprid. The use of alginate CR formulations produced less vertical mobility of the active ingredient as compared to the technical product. With the technical grade product treatment, the total amount of imidacloprid leached from columns packed with amended soil was 82.3% of that applied, whereas for the alginate-based CR formulations containing natural or acid-treated bentonite, the leached percentages were 44.7% and 37.1%, respectively. In the column experiments simulating the layered bed system, no insecticide was found in the leachate when the alginate-based CR formulations containing natural bentonite were used. However, 3% of the applied imidacloprid appeared when the treatment was carried out with technical grade material. The adsorption of carbofuran on soils from water‐methanol mixtures has been evaluated by batch shake testing. Two uncontaminated soils having different physicochemical properties were used in these experiments. The volume fraction of methanol in the liquid phase (fs) was varied from 0.25 to 1.0. Higher adsorption of carbofuran was observed in medium black (silt loam) soil than in alluvial (sandy loam) soil; calculated values of the Freundlich constant (Km) and distribution coefficient (Kd) showed that adsorption of carbofuran in both soils decreased with increase in fS values. The decreased carbofuran adsorption in methanol–water mixtures meant a greater potential of ground‐water contamination through leaching from potential sites. The data have been used to evaluate the co‐solvent theory for describing adsorption of carbofuran in methanol–water mixtures. The aqueous phase partition coefficient Kdw (mol g−1) normalized with respect to foc and the aqueous phase adsorption constant Kw for carbofuran were evaluated by extrapolating to fS = 0. © 2000 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

The adsorption of metolachlor, acetochlor, pretilachlor and butachlor, as a group of acetanilide herbicides, on eight soils with various physical and chemical properties was studied. The adsorption isotherms fit the Freundlich equation well. The extent of adsorption increased in the order: metolachlor < acetochlor < pretilachlor < butachlor. The product of the Freundlich adsorption constants, Kf(1/n), showed good correlation with organic matter content (OM) of soils for each of these herbicides, suggesting that the latter is the main factor controlling the adsorption process of these acetanilide herbicides. Multivariant correlation regression between Kf(1/n) and two factors, water solubility (Sw) of herbicides and OM, was also performed. Kf(1/n) correlated well with 1/Sw and OM/Sw, showing that high Sw corresponds to a weak tendency to adsorb on soils. IR spectra and ESR parameters confirmed that multifunctional H bonds and charge-transfer bonds between humic acids (HA) and the herbicides were the main adsorption mechanisms of the latter. The ability of herbicides to form these adsorption bonds with HA increased in the same order as the extent of adsorption. © 1999 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

将海藻酸盐与膨润土复合作为载体制备除草剂异丙甲草胺的控制释放制剂,研究了载药量、载体原料配比、膨润土类型等制剂组成因素对异丙甲草胺释放速率的影响。采用Ritger和Peppas方程分析释放动力学过程,计算50%的异丙甲草胺被释放所需时间(t50),并以此表征释放速率。结果表明,采用海藻酸盐/膨润土复合载体时, t50随载药量和载体原料配比不同介于29.4~68.0 h 之间,控制释放效果明显优于单纯以有机改性膨润土作载体(t50=5.9 h)。将有机改性膨润土与海藻酸盐复合作载体时,t50可达110 h。释放动力学方程的n值(0.436~0.496)接近Fickian扩散模型,说明该控制释放制剂中异丙甲草胺的释放过程主要受到扩散控制。  相似文献

The behaviour of the herbicide metamitron and of the main transformation product, hydroxy-chlorothalonil (HTI), of the fungicide chlorothalonil was studied to assess the risk of leaching from low-humic sandy soil. The adsorption of metamitron corresponded to a Kom value of about 60 dm3 kg−1 (moderate adsorption). The half-life of metamitron in soil at 15 °C was only three days, presumably due to adaptation of the micro-organisms. In the autumn, the residue of metamitron in the soil profiles corresponded to less than 1% of the cumulative dosage. The half-life of chlorothalonil at 15 °C was about 12 days and about 45% of it was transformed to HTI. The adsorption of HTI to the soils corresponded to a Kom value of 260 dm3 kg−1. The incubation study (15 °C) showed the transformation of HTI in the soils to be very slow. The amounts of HTI remaining in the soil profiles in the autumn corresponded to 4 and 16% of the cumulative dosage of chlorothalonil. In winter, the HTI residue decreased by 40% relative to the autumn level. Occasionally, HTI could be detected in the upper ground-water level (at a depth of about 1 m), at an average concentration of 0.1 to 0.2 µg dm−3. © 1999 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

The adsorption of atrazine and its transformation products, desisopropylatrazine (2-chloro-4-ethylamino-6-amino-l,3,5-triazine), desethyl-atrazine (2-chloro-4-amino-6-isopropylamino-l,3,5-triazine) and hydroxyatrazine (2-hydroxy-4-ethylamino-6-isopropylamino-l,3,5-triazine) to four top-soils was measured. Adsorption coefficients decreased in the order hydroxy atrazine, atrazine, desisopropylatrazine, and desethyl-atrazine: the distribution coefficient between organic matter and water (KOM) ranged from 40 to 100 dm3 kg?1 for atrazine, from 30 to 60 dm3 kg?1 for desisopropylatrazine, from 20 to 50 dm3 kg?1 for desethylatrazine and from 100 to 590 dm3 kg?1 for hydroxy atrazine. Adsorption, incubation and soil-column experiments with bentazone [3-isopropyl-1H-2,1,3-benzothiadiazin-4(3H)-one 2,2-dioxide] were carried out in ten different soils from the marches surrounding the Doñana National Park (Huelva, SW Spain). Adsorption isotherms for the different soils showed a good fit with the Freundlich equation. Bentazone was poorly adsorbed in all the soils studied, with no significant relationship between theKf values and soil characteristics. A significant correlation was obtained between the soil organic matter content and the distribution constant values (Kd) calculated at an equilibrium concentration of 200 μg cm−3. The low adsorption and non-degradation of bentazone on these soils suggest that the herbicide readily percolates through soils to reach the surface and ground waters. The mobility of bentazone through three soil columns was also studied. The mass balances carried out showed that bentazone was totally eluted from the soil columns. The theoretical model applied to explain bentazone leaching under our experimental conditions seems to be suitable for soil columns with a uniform water-flow rate.  相似文献

Sorption–desorption of the fungicide triadimefon in field‐moist silt loam and sandy loam soils were determined using low‐density supercritical fluid extraction (SFE). The selectivity of SFE enables extraction of triadimefon from the soil water phase only, thus allowing calculation of sorption coefficients (Kd) at field‐moist or unsaturated conditions. Triadimefon sorption was influenced by factors such as soil moisture content and temperature; sorption increased with increased moisture content up to saturation, and decreased with increased temperature. For instance, Kd values for triadimefon on the silt loam and the sandy loam soils at 40 °C and 10% water content were 1.9 and 2.5 ml g−1, respectively, and at 18% water content, 3.3 and 6.4 ml g−1, respectively. Isosteric heats of sorption (ΔHi) were −42 and −7 kJ mol−1 for the silt loam and sandy loam soils, respectively. Sorption–desorption was also determined using an automated accelerated solvent extraction system (ASE), in which triadimefon was extracted from silt loam soil by 0.01 M CaCl2. Using the ASE system, which is basically a fast alternative to the batch equilibration system, gave a similar ΔHi value (−29 kJ mol−1) for the silt loam soil (Kf = 27 µg1 − 1/n ml1/n g−1). In order to predict transport of pesticides through the soil profile more accurately on the basis of these data, information is needed on sorption as a function of soil water content. © 2000 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

土壤吸附是农药在环境中归趋的关键支配因素,也是支配农药在环境中的持久性和生物有效性的重要因素之一。该文采用高效液相色谱法研究了除草剂敌草胺在不同性质土壤中的吸附、持久性和生物有效性以及吸附与土壤持久性、蚯蚓生物有效性之间的关系。结果表明,在供试浓度范围内,采用批量平衡技术测定的敌草胺土壤吸附等温线可用Freundlich模型表征(r>0.99),土壤有机质含量(PPt50)在61.3-97.6 d之间;微生物对敌草胺在土壤中的持久性影响显著,微生物降解是敌草胺在土壤环境中降解的主要途径,灭菌处理后其在土壤中的半衰期延长了2.09~3.65倍。蚯蚓Eisenia foetida对敌草胺的吸收和生物积累也主要取决于土壤性质,特别是土壤的有机质含量水平(Pr=-0.885,Pr=-0.796,Pt50=94.210-3.535 Kf和BAF=0.264-0.014 Kf,表明吸附系数可用作模型参数来评价敌草胺在土壤中的持久性和生物有效性。  相似文献

Isoxaflutole is a new pre-emergence corn herbicide which controls both grass and broadleaf weeds. Experiments were performed in the laboratory to study the sorption of isoxaflutole in five different soils (Moorhead, MN; East Monroe, CO; Ellendale, MN; South Deerfield, MA; and Chelsea, MI) using the batch equilibration technique. Total initial isoxaflutole solution concentrations for each soil were 0.05, 0.15, 0.3. 0.8, 1.5, 2.0 and 4.0 mg litre−1. Analysis of [ring-14C] isoxaflutole was performed using liquid scintillation counting, and sorption data were fitted with the Freundlich model. Isotherms of isoxaflutole in all the soils were non-linear as depicted by the exponent (n < 1.0), indicating differential distribution of sorption site energies in various soils. Since the isotherms were non-linear the data fit Freundlich's isotherm well, as was indicated by high values of the regression coefficient (r2). The Freundlich sorption coefficient ranged from 0.555 to 50.0 (litre nmg lnkg−1). Multiple regression of the sorption constant, KF against selected soil properties indicated that organic matter content was the best single predictor of isoxaflutole sorption (r2 = 0.999) followed by soil pH (r2 = 0.954). Clay content of the soils did not have a high correlation with KF values (r2 = 0.453), while the sorption of isoxaflutole was not influenced by the Ca2+ concentration in the soil solution. Isoxaflutole sorption increased with an increase in organic matter content of soils. Sorption of isoxaflutole decreased as the soil pH increased from 4.5 to 8.5, which was depicted by the reduction of KF values. Sorption of isoxaflutole to the soils varied with differences in binding energies. At a particular net energy value (E*), the corresponding site energy distribution [F(E*)] values followed the order, Chelsea, MI > Moorhead, MN > East Monroe, CO > South Deerfield, MA > Ellendale, MN. BACKGROUND: Ants often compete with other ants for resources. Although formic acid is a common defensive chemical of formicine ants, it does not occur in any other subfamilies in Formicidae. No information on toxicity of formic acid to red imported fire ants, Solenopsis invicta, is available. This study examined its contact and fumigation toxicity to S. invicta in the laboratory. RESULTS: In a contact toxicity bioassay, 24 h LD50 values of formic acid for workers ranged from 124.54 to 197.71 µg ant−1. Female alates and queens were much less sensitive to formic acid than workers. At a concentration of 271.72 µg ant−1, which killed 81.09 ± 16.04% of workers, the 24 h mortality was up to 39.64% for female alates and 38.89% for queens. In fumigation bioassays, 24 h LC50 values ranged from 0.26 to 0.50 µg mL−1 for workers, 0.32 µg mL−1 for male alates and 0.70 µg mL−1 for female alates. Complete mortality (100%) in queens occurred 24 h after they had been exposed to 1.57 µg mL−1 of formic acid. At a concentration of 2.09 µg mL−1, KT50 values ranged from 23.03 to 43.85 min for workers, from 37.84 to 58.37 min for male alates, from 86.06 to 121.05 min for female alates and from 68.00 to 85.92 min for queens. CONCLUSION: When applied topically, formic acid was significantly less toxic than bifenthrin to red imported fire ants. Although its fumigation toxicity was lower than that of dichlorvos, formic acid had about an order of magnitude higher toxicity to S. invicta than to other insects studied so far. BACKGROUND: Five formulated insecticides (lambda‐cyhalothrin at 10 mg m?2, bifenthrin at 50 mg m?2, fipronil at 10 mg m?2, fenitrothion at 50 mg m?2, imidacloprid at 5 mg m?2) and one active ingredient (DDT at 500 mg m?2) were evaluated using a surface contact method against early and late instars and adults of two strains of the tropical bed bug, Cimex hemipterus (F.). Synergism of lambda‐cyhalothrin and fipronil using piperonyl butoxide (PBO) was also assessed. RESULTS: The order of susceptibility of different stages of bed bugs was as follows: early stage ? lambda‐cyhalothrin > bifenthrin = imidacloprid > fipronil > fenitrothion > DDT; late stage—lambda‐cyhalothrin > bifenthrin > fenitrothion > imidacloprid > fipronil > DDT; adult—lambda‐cyhalothrin > imidacloprid > bifenthrin > fenitrothion > fipronil > DDT. The late instars exhibited significantly higher LT50 among the life stages. The addition of PBO to fipronil increased the susceptibility of the insects. CONCLUSIONS: Lambda‐cyhalothrin, bifenthrin, fenitrothion and fipronil at the recommended application rates were effective against C. hemipterus. Although imidacloprid demonstrated good initial response against C. hemipterus, the insects showed substantial recovery 72 h post‐treatment. BACKGROUND: Biotype B of the sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci (Genn.), is a worldwide pest that has developed resistance to many insecticides, including the neonicotinoid class. Florida field populations were monitored for susceptibility to the neonicotinoids imidacloprid and thiamethoxam using a cut leaf petiole bioassay method. RESULTS: Average RR50 values for imidacloprid increased from 3.7 in 2000 to 12.0 in 2003; decreased to 5.0 and 2.5 in 2004 and 2005, respectively; and then increased to 26.3 and 23.9 in 2006 and 2007, respectively. Populations with RR50 values of about 50 to 60 during generation one reverted to RR50 values of ?4 in six generations, when reared without further exposure to imidacloprid. Average RR50 values for thiamethoxam increased from 2.0 in 2003 to 24.7 in 2006 and decreased to 10.4 in 2007. Populations with RR50 values of about 22, 32 and 53 during generation one declined to 8, 5 and 6, respectively, after being reared for five generations without exposure to thiamethoxam. The correlation coefficient from the 26 populations that were bioassayed both with imidacloprid and thiamethoxam showed a significant positive correlation (R2 = 0.58) between these populations. CONCLUSION: The high level of RR50 values to imidacloprid and thiamethoxam suggest an unstable decline in the susceptibility of B. tabaci to imidacloprid and thiamethoxam, with possible cross‐resistance or predisposition for dual resistance selection. BACKGROUND: Clomazone is a herbicide used to control broadleaf weeds and grasses. Clomazone use in agriculturally important crops and forests for weed control has increased and is a potential water contaminant given its high water solubility (1100 µg mL?1). Soil sorption is an environmental fate parameter that may limit its movement to water systems. The authors used model rice and forest soils of California to test clomazone sorption affinity, capacity, desorption, interaction with soil organic matter and behavior with black carbon. RESULTS: Sorption of clomazone to the major organic matter fraction of soil, humic acid (HA) (Kd = 29–87 L kg?1), was greater than to whole soils (Kd = 2.3–11 L kg?1). Increased isotherm non‐linearity was observed for the whole soils (N = 0.831–0.893) when compared with the humic acids (N = 0.954–0.999). Desorption isotherm results showed hysteresis, which was greatest at the lowest solution concentration of 0.067 µg mL?1 for all whole soils and HA extracts. Aliphatic carbon content appeared to contribute to increased isotherm linearity. CONCLUSION: The results indicate that clomazone does not sorb appreciably to sandy or clay soils. Its sorption affinity and capacity is greater in humic acid, and consequently clomazone has difficulty desorbing from soil organic matter. Sorption appears to follow processes explained by the dual‐mode model, the presence of fire residues (black carbon) and a recently proposed sorption mechanism. A muscarinic acetylcholine receptor (mAChR) has been demonstrated and partially characterized in larvae of the cattle tick Boophilus microplus. Its properties are compared with mAChR from an epithelial cell line from the dipteran insect Chironomus tentans. Competition studies with cholinergic ligands of different specificity revealed the muscarinic nature of the cholinergic receptors investigated in both species. In homogenates from tick larvae, specific binding sites for [3H]quinuclidinyl benzilate (QNB) with high affinity (1·2±(0·13) nM ; Bmax 22·5 pmol mg protein−1) were detected that do not bind nicotinic compounds specifically. The estimated IC50 values for nicotine, imidacloprid and α-bungarotoxin were all in the mM range. Additionally, with tick larvae, high-affinity nicotinic binding sites were detected with [3H]nicotine which could be displaced by high concentrations of imidacloprid or QNB. The estimated IC50 values for nicotine, α-bungarotoxin, imidacloprid and QNB were 43(±8) nM , 0·8(±0·2) μM , 2·8(±0·6) μM and 78(±1·9) μM , respectively. With homogenates of the non-neuronal insect cell line from C. tentans, only high-affinity binding sites for [3H]QNB were found. Muscarinic antagonists selectively displaced [3H]quinuclidinyl benzilate (QNB) binding to tick larvae homogenates. The mAChR of B. microplus preferred pirenzepine (IC50 2·13(±1·02) μM ) among different subtype-specific mAChR antagonists (4-DAMP had IC50 49·9(±9·13) μM and methoctramine had IC50 121(±14·2) μM ) indicating a type of binding site similar to the vertebrate M1 mAChR subtype. The tick muscarinic receptor seems to be a G-protein-coupled receptor, as concluded from the 4·8-fold reduction in receptor affinity for binding of the muscarinic agonist oxotremorine M upon treatment with the non-hydrolysable GTP-analogue γ-S-GTP. Binding data for the agonists oxotremorine M (IC50 71·3(±19·6) μM ) and carbachol (IC50 253(±87·1) μM ) parallel the biological efficacy of these compounds, in that, while oxotremorine M showed some activity against ticks, carbachol was ineffective.  相似文献

为了考察杀虫剂施用对尿素态氮在土壤中转化过程的影响,采用室内培养法,通过测定土壤铵态氮和硝态氮质量分数以及反硝化损失的动态变化,研究了在施用尿素的土壤(有效氮含量为200 mg/kg)中分别添加不同剂量的吡虫啉和毒死蜱2种杀虫剂时,杀虫剂对尿素的水解、土壤氮的硝化及反硝化过程的影响。结果表明:吡虫啉和毒死蜱各剂量处理在第3天时对尿素水解具有显著的促进作用(PPPPP<0.01),减少反硝化损失量39.69%。  相似文献

室内测定结果表明 ,禾谷缢管蚜对吡虫啉的敏感性比麦长管蚜高 ,其LC50之比为1∶3左右。田间试验结果明确 ,吡虫啉持效性好 ,其持效期与吡虫啉用量和麦蚜种类有关。小麦穗蚜发生始盛期是吡虫啉防治麦蚜的最佳时期 ,防治禾谷缢管蚜最佳有效用药量为1g/667m2,麦长管蚜为2g/667m2。  相似文献

BACKGROUND: The objectives of these laboratory experiments were: (1) to assess bromoxynil sorption, mineralization, bound residue formation and extractable residue persistence in a Dundee silt loam collected from 0–2 cm and 2–10 cm depths under continuous conventional tillage and no‐tillage; (2) to assess the effects of autoclaving on bromoxynil mineralization and bound residue formation; (3) to determine the partitioning of non‐extractable residues; and (4) to ascertain the effects of bromoxynil concentration on extractable and bound residues and metabolite formation. RESULTS: Bromoxynil Kd values ranged from 0.7 to 1.4 L kg?1 and were positively correlated with soil organic carbon. Cumulative mineralization (38.5% ± 1.5), bound residue formation (46.5% ± 0.5) and persistence of extractable residues (T1/2 < 1 day) in non‐autoclaved soils were independent of tillage and depth. Autoclaving decreased mineralization and bound residue formation 257‐fold and 6.0‐fold respectively. Bromoxynil persistence in soil was rate independent (T1/2 < 1 day), and the majority of non‐extractable residues (87%) were associated with the humic acid fraction of soil organic matter. CONCLUSIONS: Irrespective of tillage or depth, bromoxynil half‐life in native soil is less than 1 day owing to rapid incorporation of the herbicide into non‐extractable residues. Bound residue formation is governed principally by biochemical metabolite formation and primarily associated with soil humic acids that are moderately bioavailable for mineralization. These data indicate that the risk of off‐site transport of bromoxynil residues is low owing to rapid incorporation into non‐extractable residues. Published 2009 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Imidacloprid is the primary insecticide for controlling the tobacco‐adapted form of the green peach aphid (TGPA), Myzus persicae (Sulzer), a major pest of tobacco worldwide. This study used leaf‐dip bioassays to assess TGPA resistance to imidacloprid in the eastern United States from 2004 through 2007. RESULTS: When combined over the 4 year study, 18, 14 and 3% of the TGPA had imidacloprid resistance ratios (RRs) of 10–20‐fold, 20–30‐fold and 30–90‐fold, respectively, compared with the most susceptible colony tested. This indicates that some colonies have developed moderate levels of resistance to imidacloprid. A colony collected near Clayton, North Carolina, had the highest RR of 91 (LC50 value = 31 mg L?1). This resistance declined for six tests over a 3 year period in the laboratory culture from >130‐fold RR (LC50 = 48 mg L?1) to 40‐fold RR (LC50 = 15 mg L?1). Over the same period, the most susceptible colony and a standard colony not exposed to imidacloprid for over 7 years had consistently low LC50 values. CONCLUSION: Moderate levels of resistance to imidacloprid are noticed among TGPA colonies from the eastern United States. The variation in resistance indicates that the factors responsible are present in the populations at low frequencies and are just not enough to cause field failures yet.
