四倍体圆锥小麦(Triticum turgidum L.ssp.turgidum)地方品种矮蓝麦是我国重要的小麦矮秆基因资源,经鉴定其矮秆特性对外源赤霉酸敏感。2012年配制矮蓝麦与2个高秆圆锥小麦的正反交组合,2012—2013年在四川绵阳分别种植F1、F2代和F2:3家系,对株高的遗传分析表明,矮蓝麦的矮秆性状受1对隐性基因控制。利用BSA法构建高秆和矮秆池筛选多态性SSR标记,并对矮蓝麦/青稞麦F2分离群体进行连锁分析,将目标基因定位于7AS染色体上,与标记GWM471的遗传距离为2.5 c M。矮蓝麦与矮秆番麦正反交的F1和F2群体表现非常相似的株高变异特征,初步推测矮蓝麦的矮秆基因是Rht22;进一步用高通量SNP和DAr T标记对两品种进行全基因组扫描,发现二者的遗传相似性高达98.7%~99.3%。因此认为,历史上矮蓝麦和矮秆番麦可能是同一品种,是通过人为交流而传播到不同地方。矮蓝麦携带的矮秆基因在人工合成六倍体小麦遗传背景中降低株高能力中等或较弱,在育种中需要聚合其他矮秆基因而被利用。  相似文献

This paper reports the waxy proteins and apparent amylose contents of the tetraploid species Triticum dicoccum, Triticum polonicum and Triticum durum. Three waxy proteins were found in the three species; two showed the same electrophoretic mobility as the alleles Wx-A1a and Wx-B1a of the hexaploid variety ‘Chinese Spring’, while the third showed the same mobility as the allele Wx-B1e belonging to the hexaploid wheat variety ‘Bai Huo’. In apparent amylose content no significant differences between the alleles Wx-B1a and the Wx-B1e were found for each species. However, the mean amylose contents of T. durum and T. polonicum were significantly greater than that of T. dicoccum, regardless of which allele was present. Summary Triticum turgidum ssp. dicoccoides (wild emmer wheat, AABB, 2n=28) and Aegilops squarrosa (goat grass, DD, 2n=14) comprise a rich reservoir of valuable genetic material, which could be useful for the breeding of common wheat (T. aestivum, AABBDD, 2n=42). Many accessions of both wild species, most of them selected for resistance to stripe rust, were used to make amphiploids. Two strategies were applied: (1) the production of autopolyploid cytotypes of the wild species, followed by hybridisation, and (2) the production of allotriploid interspecific hybrids, followed by doubling of the number of chromosomes. The first route was unsuccessful because of failure of the crosses between the autopolyploid cytotypes, possibly due to incongruity between the two species and to reduced fertility in the autopolyploid cytotypes. The second route yielded the desired synthetic hexaploids. However, the rate of success of the crosses was low and there were great differences between years, and within years between crosses. Embryo rescue was applied to obtain the primary hybrids (2n=21), which were highly sterile and had on average 0.3 bivalents and 20.4 univalents per pollen mother cell. Various abnormalities were recorded. Doubling of the number of chromosomes sometimes occurred spontaneously or was brought about by colchicine treatment. The large scale of the interspecific hybridisation programme ensured that one-third of the female and one-sixth of the male accessions were represented in the synthetic hexaploids.  相似文献

Summary Grain protein percentage (GPP) was studied in 910 accessions of the wild tetraploid wheat, Triticum turgidum var. dicoccoides, collected from 22 populations representing different ecogeographical conditions in Israel. High values of GPP were found, ranging from 19.7% to 28.0% for population means, and from 14.1% to 35.1% for single accessions. Marginal populations had usually lower GPP and smaller intra-population variation than central ones. Repeated sampling of some central populations for four consecutive years revealed relatively large intra-population fluctuations. A high and significant genetic component of variation was found within and between populations by a nested analysis of variance in two nurseries. However, the regression coefficients of parents vs. offsprings were relatively low, indicating a smaller genetic component of variation which may be accounted for by a significant genotype × environment interaction. No correlation was found between GPP and ecological factors, except for soil type: accessions growing on terra-rossa had higher GPP than those growing on basaltic soil. Accessions with black glumes, or with glabrous auricles, or with large grains exhibited high GPP values. A strategy for collecting accessions with high GPP is presented, and the potential use of high GPP genotypes in breeding programs is discussed.  相似文献

Summary Durum wheat is historically an important crop in Turkey. Diverse durum wheat germplasm has been recorded many times in Turkish collections. 812 single plant genotypes from 190 durum wheat populations of 23 provinces in Turkey have been studied for number of days to germination, tillering, shooting, heading, maturity, and yield per plant. Variation in samples for traits studied was large enough and subsamples with different characteristics were identified. Grouping samples into provinces and altitudes of origin have revealed that variation in samples existed for some traits depending on province and altitude of origin. Yield per plant were not correlated with any of the developmental stages: but developmental stages were correlated with each other in varying magnitudes. Variation in yield per plant was not explained as well by developmental stages studied under a dry-cold environment. Further studies on samples needed to explore genetic variation more for other traits of economic importance.  相似文献

Summary The genetic control of grain protein percentage (GPP) in the wild tetraploid wheat, Triticum turgidum var. dicoccoides, was determined by crossing four accessions of this taxonomic variety with durum cultivar Inbar, and analyzing the parents, F1 and F2 populations. Reciprocal crosses indicated no cytoplasmic effect on GPP. The F2 variation was continuous in all crosses, showing no transgressive segregation. However, crosses between different accessions of var. dicoccoides showed transgressive segregation indicating the presence of different genes for high GPP in these accessions. Grain protein percentage was mostly codominant with high GPP, showing either no dominance, or a weak dominance. Heritability coefficients (broad sense) ranged from 0.30 to 0.53. Correlation coefficients between GPP and yield components were usually significantly negative, with the exception of the number of spikelets per spike, and in some crosses, grain weight.The number and chromosomal location of genes coding for high GPP were determined by the association between GPP and 27 markers (23 morphological and 4 biochemical markers). For this purpose, the genetic control of these markers, their linkage groups and chromosomal location were studied. At least four loci for high GPP that segregated in the F2 populations are suggested: one on chromosome arm 1AS, marked by the black glume gene (Bg); one on 1BS, marked by the HMW gliadin locus Gli-B1; one on group 5, marked by the genes for beaked glume (Bkg) and toothed palea (Tp); and one on group 7, marked by the kinky neck gene (Kn). The relationship between GPP and several yield components was studied in a similar manner. In general, loci of markers that correlated positively with high GPP were not correlated with a decrease in yield components. Moreover, several loci of var. dicoccoides were associated with an increase in yield components.The utilization of markers for chromosomal location of genes coding for quantitative traits is compared to the technique of aneuploid analysis, commonly used in wheat. The significance of the above findings for breeding is discussed.  相似文献

Summary The mode of inheritance, linkage groups, and chromosomal location of 23 morphological and 4 biochemical traits were characterized in the wild tetraploid emmer wheat,Triticum turgidum var.dicoccoides. These traits were described and their mode of inheritance was determined by their segregation in four F2 populations derived from crosses between four var.dicoccoides accessions and a tetraploiddurum cultivar. Linkage groups among the genes encoding for these traits were determined or postulated, and their chromosomal location was deduced by linkage to previously located genes. The genetic control of the following traits was characterized and is first reported here: black keel; hairy leaf sheath; hairy auricles; hairy rachilla; hairy kernel brush; obtuse flag leaf; and curved neck/peduncle. The linkage data indicated that developmentally-related genes tended to occur in clusters.  相似文献

Suitability of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) for many food products depends on its unique protein. Elevated grain protein content (GPC) and its quality influences the bread making properties of wheat. The objective of this study was to examine the association of elevated GPC with agronomic and end-use quality in two hard red spring wheat recombinant inbred (RI) populations derived from wild emmer (Triticum turgidum L. var. dicoccoides). The two hard red spring populations (ND683/Bergen and Glupro/Bergen) were developed using a single-seed-descent method. ND683 and ‘Glupro’ are high in GPC (180 g kg-1), presumably due to the introgression of gene(s) from Triticum turgidum L. var. dicoccoides and ‘Bergen’ is low in GPC (145 g kg-1). From each of the two populations 12 high- and 12 low-GPC RI lines (F5:7) were selected for replicated testing at two North Dakota (ND) locations in 1995. In both populations, the high-GPC lines had significantly (p < 0.05) higher values compared to the low-GPC lines for mean GPC and water absorption. Mean grain yield of the high-GPC lines was not significantly different from the low-GPC lines in both populations. In the ND683/Bergen population, the high-GPC lines had significantly (p < 0.05) higher values than the low-GPC lines for mean plant height, days to heading, and flour extraction. GPC was significantly (p < 0.05)and negatively associated with test weight and also significantly (p < 0.01) and positively associated with water absorption in the Glupro/Bergen population. In these populations, results suggested that it may be possible to select lines that combine higher GPC and acceptable yield level, but later in maturity and taller in plant height. Synthetic hexaploid wheats are of interest to wheat breeding programs, especially for introducing new genes that confer resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses. A group of 54 synthetic hexaploid wheats derived from crosses between emmer wheat(Triticum dicoccum, source of the A and B genomes) and goat grass (Aegilops tauschii, D genome donor) were investigated for genetic diversity. Using the AFLP technique, dendrograms revealed clear grouping according to geographical origin for the T. dicoccum parents but no clear groups for the Ae. tauschii parents. The geographical clustering of the T. dicoccum parents was also reflected in the dendrogram of their derived synthetic hexaploids. Diversity of the T. dicoccum parents and their derived synthetic hexaploids was further evaluated by measuring 18morphological and agronomic traits on the plants. Clustering based on morphological and agronomic data also reflected geographical origin. However, comparison of genetic distances obtained from AFLP and agronomic data showed no correlation between the two diversity measurements. Nevertheless, similarities among major clusters with the two systems could be identified. Based on percentage of polymorphic markers, the synthetic hexaploids had a considerably higher level of AFLP diversity (39%) than normally observed in cultivated hexaploid wheat (12–21%). This suggests that synthetic hexaploid wheats can be used to introduce new genetic diversity into the bread wheat gene pool. Two trials were conducted at the Mexican National Institute of Agricultural Research Experiment Station at Yaqui Valley, Sonora, Mexico to investigate the nature and extent of agronomic variation in 50 synthetic hexaploid (SH) wheats (2n = 6x = 42, AABBDD) derived from Triticum turgidum (2n = 4x = 28. AABB) × T. tauschii (In = 2x = 14, DD) crosses for subsequent use in wheat improvement. Plant height, spike length, days to flowering, physiological maturity, grain yield, above-ground biomass at maturity, harvest index, yield components and test weight were determined.
Significant agronomic variation was observed among the germplasm evaluated. Outstanding SH genotypes were identified with higher grain yield, above-ground biomass at maturity, 1000-grain weight, and spikes m−2 than the bread wheat ( Triticum aestivum L.) check cultivar Seri 82. Genotypic correlations of grain yield with other character traits show that grain m2 was the most important determinant of gram yield (r = 0.993). Data on agronomic traits subjected to complete linkage cluster analysis resulted in classifying the genotypes into two distinct phenotypic groups excluding Seri 82. Groups generally corresponded to durum progenitors of the SH with significant group differences for all characters. This demonstrates use of practical numerical analysis procedures to describe agronomic variation in representative SH genotypes. Clustering by quantitativy traits may be valuable for identification of genotypes with divergent sources for breeding and agronomic purposes.  相似文献

Summary The possibility of using proline accumulation and fluorescence inhibition as predictive tests for drought tolerance in durum wheat has been investigated. The drought susceptibility of 25 genotypes was evaluated by comparing yields and yield components in irrigated and non irrigated conditions in the field. A drought susceptibility index (DSI) was calculated based on yields from irrigated and dry treatments and compared with the results obtained using the two physiological criteria. Proline accumulation and chlorophyll fluorescence inhibition were found to be significantly and negatively correlated with DSI of grain yield, biological yield, and thousand kernel weight, and tiller index. The use of both criteria for breeding durum wheat in Mediterranean dryland is discussed.  相似文献

Resistance to stripe rust (caused by Puccinia striiformis Westend.) of 34 Triticum turgidum L. var.durum, 278 T. tauschii, and 267 synthetic hexaploid wheats (T. turgidum x T. tauschii) was evaluated at the seedling stage in the greenhouse and at the adult-plant stage at two field locations. Mexican pathotype 14E14 was used in all studies. Seedling resistance, expressed as low infection type, was present in all three species. One hundred and twenty-eight (46%) accessions of T. tauschii, 8 (23%) of T. turgidum and 31 (12%) of synthetic hexaploid wheats were highly resistant as seedlings. In the field tests, resistance was evaluated by estimating area under disease progress curve (AUDPC). Synthetic hexaploid wheats showed a wide range of variability for disease responses in both greenhouse and field tests, indicating the presence of a number of genes for resistance. In general, genotypes with seedling resistance were also found to be resistant as adult plants. Genotypes, which were susceptible or intermediate as seedlings but resistant as adult plants, were present in both T. turgidum and the synthetic hexaploids. Resistances from either T. turgidum or T. tauschii or both were identified in the synthetic hexaploids in this study. These new sources of resistance could be incorporated into cultivated hexaploid wheats to increase the existing gene pool of resistance to stripe rust.  相似文献

Summary Rye chromosome constitution and stability in a series of plants of G2 and G3 generations obtained after the cross between hexaploid triticale and durum wheat (F1: 2n=5x=35; genomes AA BB R) are studied using the zymogram phenotype expression for the following isozyme marker genes: Mdh-2c1 (1R), Cpx-c2 (2R), Got-3-c1 (3R), Pgm-c1 (4R), Est-c6 (6R), Got-2-c1 (6R), Acph-c1 (7R) and Got-1-c1 (7R). The results were corroborated using C-banding in a sample of the plant population studied and make clear the utility of biochemical methods in quick cytogenetic analysis. From the results, a different rate of transmission for each rye chromosome is inferred.  相似文献

Summary Genes for leaf rust and stem rust resistance and segregation distortion (Gc), that seemed to derive from an Aegilops spetroides ssp. ligustica accession, were transferred to common wheat. While the advanced backcrosses had normal meioses and 42 chromosomes, high levels of male and female sterility, abnormal endosperm development and chromosome aberrations were evident. These effects were more pronounced in Gc-heterozygotes than in homozygotes. Gametes without Gc genes did not survive, and the Gc-associated defects were always inherited with the resistance. Since the resistance genes were effective against local pathotypes of the leaf rust and stem rust pathogens, an attempt was made to disrupt the Gc-system through irradiation, treatment with the mutagen N-nitroso-N-methyl-urea or growing the material at elevated temperatures. A very low frequency of the treated material showed slightly better fertility and seed development. However, these effects did not persist in subsequent generations and were apparently not strong enough to allow the recovery of segregates which had lost the Gc gene(s).  相似文献

Summary A germplasm collection comprising 132 landrace genotypes of durum wheat (Triticum turgidum) ssp. turgidum L. conv. durum (Desf.) MK., from 10 districts in Jordan was evaluated for days to booting (DB), days to heading (DH), days to anthesis (DA), days to maturity (DM), filling period (FP) and grain yield (GY). In spite of the relatively strong genetic (Gr) and phenotypic (Pr) correlation coefficients between the developmental traits, the variation among genotypes was significant. GY was only positively and significantly correlated with DA and FP, while it was negatively correlated with DH. Genotypes with different combinations of early, medium and late developmental traits have been identified. Different combinations of DH and FP may or may not lead to differences in DM and GY. However, genotypes with long FP and medium-late DH gave the highest grain yield. Multiple linear regression of the duration of maturity (M) stage on the duration of booting (B), heading (H) and anthesis (A) stages (M = –260.87 + 2.09 B + 1.23 H + 0.9 A, R 2 = 0.92) indicates that it is possible to manipulate the duration of these developmental stages and develop genotypes with high yield potential and early maturity, a highly desirable in drought-prone environments.  相似文献

Summary Forty-four varieties of Triticum dicoccum ex India were crossed to two T. aestivum testers, namely, C 306 (Ne 1 ne 2 ch 1 Ch 2) and Sonalika (ne 1 Ne 2 ch 1 Ch 2), to determine their necrosis and chlorosis genes. Thirty-six (81%) varieties were found to be carriers of the Ch 1gene; the genotype of their necrosis gene (Ne 1or ne 1) could not be determined for want of suitable testers with the authors. Six varieties were found to be noncarriers for necrosis and chlorosis genes and two varieties were found to be carriers of the Ne 1gene and non-carriers for the chlorosis gene. Allelic variation at the Ch 2locus was observed; two alleles, Ch 2 s and Ch 2 m, are suggested.  相似文献

四排穗(four-rowed spike, FRS)性状是超数小穗(supernumerary spikelets, SS)性状的一种类型,表现为在一个穗轴节片上近垂直地着生2个无柄小穗,从而增加了小穗数和穗粒数,对提高产量有一定的潜力。为了解圆锥小麦0880 FRS性状的遗传特征,将0880与正常穗(normal spike, NS)圆锥小麦0879杂交,构建了遗传群体,并对0880 (FRS) × 0879 (NS)与0879 (NS) × 0880 (FRS) F1、F2及F2:3植株的穗部性状进行了调查。结果显示,正反交组合的F1植株均表现为正常穗,F2群体中正常穗与四排穗符合3∶1的分离比例,表明0880的四排穗性状由隐性单基因控制,将该基因定名为frs1;细胞质对frs1无显著影响。采用已定位于普通小麦A组与B组的SSR分子标记并结合混合分组分析法(BSA), 筛选出32个在双亲及F2单株构建的四排穗型池和正常穗型池都具有多态性的SSR分子标记,利用JoinMap4.0软件构建了与frs1连锁的2A染色体11个SSR分子标记遗传图谱,其中SSR标记Xwmc598和Xwmc522位于frs1基因两侧,与该基因的遗传距离分别为4.0 cM和2.4 cM。利用2A染色体缺失系对这11个SSR进行物理定位,Xwmc598和Xwmc522均被定位在2A染色体短臂FL0.00~0.78区域。本研究的结果为frs1基因的精细定位及分子标记辅助选择奠定了基础。  相似文献

Summary Forty-one breeding lines of common wheat, derived from crosses between the Israeli cultivars Miriam and Lakhish and high-protein lines of wild tetraploid wheat, Triticum turgidum var. dicoccoides, were tested for various protein and yield parameters in field trials, under typical agronomic conditions. All lines had a higher grain protein percentage (GPP) than the leading Israeli cultivar Deganit, which was grown as a control. Grain yield (GY) ranged in the breeding lines from a low of 2.44 t/ha to as high as that of Deganit (6.95 t/ha). Despite the weak negative correlation between GPP and GY, several lines excelled both in GPP and in GY. The grain protein yield (GPY) of some of these selected breeding lines was higher than that of Deganit; e.g., 1.19 t/ha in the best line vs. 1.02 t/ha in Deganit. The 16.7% increase in GPY in this line reflected a more efficient utilization of nitrogen.  相似文献

Summary All current commercial cultivars of leeks are open-pollinated and one of the major problems with the crop is poor uniformity with much of the variation being genetic in origin. Inbred lines and single cross hybrids were produced to try to reduce the genetic variation. Inbreds were generated by single seed descent from 5400 plants taken from six commercial cultivars and performance data for uniformity, yield and quality are presented for the S1-S3 generations. A few relatively vigorous inbred lines were obtained but overall, inbreeding depression was very severe with no compensating increase in uniformity as measured by coefficients of variation. In contrast, the experimental hybrids gave significant uniformity, yield and quality benefits compared to open-pollinated commercial cultivars and can be used as the basis for developing a range of commercial hybrid cultivars.Abbreviations SSD Single Seed Descent - HRI Horticulture Research International  相似文献
