动物园珍稀野生动物弓形虫感染的血清学调查 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
用改良凝集试验(MAT)和SPA-ELISA对上海动物园珍稀野生动物的血清作了弓形虫抗体的检测。在隶属于2纲、10目、18科、37属、52种(包括亚种)的117头动物中,MAT阳性者41头(35%);ELISA检测98头动物中阳性者33头(33.7%),2种试验的阳性率无显著差异(P>0.05)。MAT的阳性率在鸟类组、灵长类组、肉食类组和草食类组中分别为11.1%(4/36)、25.0%(4/16)、69.4%(25/36)和27.6%(8/29);ELISA的阳性率分别为0.0%(0/36)、33.3%(4/12)、87.1%(27/31)和10.5%(2/19),2种试验检测不同动物组的阳性率均有非常显著差异(P<0.01)。ELISA未能在鸟类和偶蹄类动物检测到弓形虫抗体。 相似文献

Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is compared with the indirect fluorescent antibody test (IFAT), the indirect haemagglutination test (IHAT) and the latex agglutination (LA) test for the detection of toxoplasma antibodies in swine sera. The 100 swine sera examined represent ELISA values from greater than 0 to 154 EIU. The agreement was highest (0.67) between ELISA and IFAT with an ELISA cut-off value of 30 EIU, and between ELISA and the LA test with an ELISA cut-off value of 50 EIU (0.74). All sera giving less than 10 EIU were negative in the other tests, and all those with greater than 70 EIU were positive in 1, 2 or all of the reference tests. In order to avoid false positive results with ELISA, all sera giving 10-70 EIU should be confirmed with a test which has a good specificity, e.g. IFAT. ELISA is a sensitive test and is highly suitable for the screening of large amounts of samples, but it may be too complicated for screening toxoplasma antibodies in the laboratories of abattoirs. 相似文献

An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was developed using a heat-killed Brucella suis antigen for detecting antibodies in the sera of swine from which B. suis was isolated. Optimal enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay reactions were obtained using heat-killed B. suis antigen at a concentration comparable to McFarland Standard No. 1. Statistically significant differences were observed in the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay results of 40 animals from which B. suis was isolated and the results for 48 noninfected swine at serum dilutions of 1:25 and 1:50 (P < 0.0001). The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay is a rapid reproducible test which can be readily automated that appears to have practical value for screening large numbers of breeding and slaughter swine for brucellosis. 相似文献

An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was developed for detection of antibody against porcine parvovirus in swine sera. The antigen used for the assay was partially-purified virus treated with fluorocarbon and shown to contain 7 proteins by sodium dodecylsulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Of these proteins 83-, 64- and 60-K proteins reacted in Western immunoblotting with swine serum after infection with porcine parvovirus. Antibody responses were demonstrated by ELISA in pigs subcutaneously-infected with porcine parvovirus as by hemagglutination-inhibition (HI) test and Western immunoblotting reaction with the 83-, 64- and 60-K viral proteins. The results of ELISA on random swine-serum samples were well-correlated with those of the HI test. These findings indicate the usefulness of the ELISA as a serological tool for porcine parvovirus infection. 相似文献

A survey for the prevalence of antibodies to Hepatozoon canis and for intraneutrophilic H. canis gametocytes in the peripheral blood neutrophils of dogs in Israel showed that 33.1% were seropositive, while only 1% of the dogs sampled had detectable parasites in their blood smears. Exposure to H. canis is widespread but it appears that most infected dogs undergo a subclinical infection and only a small proportion develop clinical disease.Abbreviations IFAT

Ninety-seven sera collected from 21 animals that had been repeatedly sampled more than 17 years before and stored at -18 degrees C were tested for bovine leukemia virus antibodies using the agar gel immunodiffusion test. The prevalences for the different ages matched current prevalences in the same herd. The consistency of these results over a prolonged period suggests the validity of long-term retrospective seroepidemiological studies of this disease. Because the original titers could not be determined and some indications of a possible loss of activity, the results must be interpreted with a measure of caution. 相似文献

An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for detecting serum antibodies to the porcine epidemic diarrhea coronavirus (PEDV) was established by using cell culture-grown PEDV as antigen for coating. Ultracentrifugation through 20 and 45% (w/w) sucrose cushions proved to be the best antigen purification method. Examination of 1024 swine sera showed a high specificity and a greater sensitivity of the ELISA, when compared with indirect immunofluorescence. Reference sera with high antibody titers to PEDV originated from two pigs experimentally infected with PEDV. Three different antigen purification methods and the advantages of the ELISA compared with an immunofluorescence test are discussed. 相似文献

Three hundred and forty-seven serum samples from 22 Iowa swine herds were screened for TGEV/PRCV neutralizing antibody. Ninety-one percent of the sera and all 22 herds were positive. These sera were then tested by the blocking ELISA test to distinguish TGEV and PRCV antibody. The ELISA test confirmed the high percentage of TGEV/PRCV positive sera. By the blocking ELISA test, 12 herds were PRCV positive, 6 herds were TGEV positive and 4 herds were mixed with sera either positive for TGEV or PRCV antibody. The results suggest a recent increase in TGEV/PRCV seroprevalence in Iowa swine most likely due to subclinical PRCV infections. 相似文献

Summary Serological surveys of the prevalence of antibodies against Toxoplasma gondii were carried out amongst swine and cattle in the Netherlands. Data were analysed according to the different categories of animals. The results show very low seroprevalences of Toxoplasma gondii in finishing pigs (1.8%) and in fattening calves (1.2%). In sows and dairy cattle, respectively, seroprevalences of 30.9% and 27.9% respectively, were found, demonstrating clearly the environmental infection pressure and illustrating the importance of housing and management in establishing low infection rates. Substantially different seroprevalences were found between dairy cattle sampled in the North and in the South of the Netherlands (13.1% and 42.6%, respectively). The infection rates in the samples from finishing pigs, fattening calves, and dairy cattle demonstrate that seroprevalences in individual farms or herds may differ considerably. Investigation of the factors involved can be useful in determining the causes of infection and for developing measures with regard to prevention. The very low seroprevalences in finishing pigs and fattening calves indicate, however, that the production of toxoplasma‐free meat may be well within reach in modern husbandry. Since farm animals easily are infected, serological screening of individual farms or herds for the absence of T. gondii infection, as a part of the Integrated Quality Control programme, can be helpful in determining the quality of livestock production and in developing certain standards of hygiene for individual farms. 相似文献

Sera from butcher swine (1,246 total) were evaluated qualitatively by the microimmunodiffusion test and quantitatively by the virus neutralization test for antibody to pseudorabies virus. Ten percent of the sera had antibody to pseudorabies virus. Follow-up contact with veterinarians whose clients included the farms from which the positive swine originated revealed that few feeder swine are vaccinated against pseudorabies and that most infections with pseudorabies virus are subclinical. 相似文献

The prevalence of seropositive reactions to Toxoplasma gondii was studied in farm animals, companion animals, wild rodents and birds. Of the animals tested, 17% of cattle, 65% of sheep, 45% of pigs, 9% of horses, 33% of dogs and 20% of cats were seropositive by the Sabin-Feldman dye test. In addition 11% of mice (Mus musculus), 5% of deer mice (Peromyscus), 3% of rats (Rattus norvegicus) and less than 2% of sparrows (Passer domestcus) were seropositive. All samples from short-tailed field mice (Microtus pennsylvanicus), squirrels (Sciurus carolinensis), chipmunks (Tamias striatus), meadow jumping mice (Zapus hudsonius) and starlings (Sturnus vulgaris) were seronegative. The significance of these findings in relation to the epizootiology of toxoplasmosis in Ontario is discussed. 相似文献
