丝虫抗原的分离及在鹿脑脊髓丝虫病诊断中的应用   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
首次报道应用牛腹腔丝虫成虫破碎后 ,经SephadexG 2 0 0柱层析获得CG1 抗原 ,进行酶联免疫吸附试验 (ELISA)免疫诊断鹿脑脊髓丝虫病的新方法。结果证明 ,该种方法特异性强 ( 87 1 % ) ,敏感性高 ( 1∶640 0 )。通过对 380头假定健康鹿ELISA结果与虫检结果对比证明 ,2种诊断方法符合率为 1 0 0 %。ELISA法比虫检法检出率高 3 2 % ,因此 ,可以用ELISA代替虫检诊断鹿脑脊髓丝虫病  相似文献

Psittacid herpesvirus-1 (PsHV-1) is the cause of an acute fatal disease in parrots and is implicated as the cause of papillomatous lesions of the digestive tract. Not all infections cause disease and some parrots are infected asymptomatically. Latently infected parrots are potential sources for virus dissemination. Tissues from parrots that died spontaneously with a history of coming from flocks where a PsHV-1 outbreak had occurred were examined for PsHV-1 DNA. Fourteen of 16 parrots examined were infected with at least 1 variant of PsHV-1; of these 13 (93%) had viral DNA in either or both the oral and cloacal mucosa, suggesting that most latently infected parrots could be detected by sampling these sites. Nine of 9 parrots shown to be infected 5 years prior to this study were positive again on repeat sampling and were infected with the same virus genotype. Opportunistic sampling of parrots submitted for diagnostic necropsy indicated that the prevalence of PsHV-1 in parrots in the sampled population was approximately 9.3%. PsHV-1 genotypes 1, 2, and 3 were found in these birds, but genotype 4 was not. Six necropsy specimens were found to be infected with two PsHV-1 genotypes and it was concluded that infection with one serotype did not protect against infection with another. Psittacid herpesvirus 2 (PsHV-2) was identified in 4 African grey parrots and a blue and gold macaw. Prior to this study PsHV-2 had only been found in African grey parrots.  相似文献

Amikacin sulfate was administered to African gray parrots at 3 dosages (5, 10, and 20 mg/kg) via 2 routes (IV and IM). The elimination half-time was approximately 1 hour (range, 0.9 to 1.34 hour). Papovavirus infection in hand-fed parrots: virus isolation and pathology   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
Papovavirus infection was diagnosed in 44 parrots of at least 18 species exclusive of the budgerigar (Melopsittacus undulatus). The birds were 14 days to 4 months old and had been removed from parental care and hand-fed as nestlings. The birds had been unexpectedly found dead after having evidenced no premonitory signs of illness, or they died following a short (12-to-48-hour) period of lassitude and anorexia. In most cases, necropsies revealed pallor, multiple hemorrhages, splenomegaly, and hepatomegaly with multifocal necrosis. Histological lesions included multifocal to diffuse hepatic necrosis that spared the periportal hepatocytes, karyomegaly of splenic reticuloendothelial cells and cells in other tissues, membranous glomerulopathy, and necrosis of bursal medullary lymphocytes. Papovaviruses were isolated from two cases, and papovavirus infection was confirmed in 27 of the birds by the fluorescent-antibody test using a conjugate against a papovavirus isolated from a budgerigar.  相似文献

Atherosclerosis is a common disease among parrots, but little is known about possible risk factors. Important risk factors in humans are an elevated plasma cholesterol concentration and increased platelet aggregation; high intakes of polyunsaturated fatty acids have beneficial effects. In this study, we tried to establish a relationship, if any, between dietary fatty acids and the severity of atherosclerosis in parrots. We collected dead parrots and scored the degree of atherosclerosis in the beginning of the aorta and the brachiocephalic arteries. It was not possible to assess the intake of fatty acids with food questionnaires so fatty acid composition of adipose tissue and breast muscle had to be used as an index of the dietary fatty acid composition. In all, 202 birds were collected. Gender was not related with atherosclerosis, but the degree of atherosclerosis increased with age and among the various species; African grey parrots appeared to be the most susceptible. The contents of linoleic acid in breast muscle or adipose tissue were not associated with the severity of atherosclerosis. For the relative percentage of alpha-linolenic acid in either breast muscle (P = 0.09; n = 175) or adipose tissue (P = 0.056; n = 21), a borderline significant relation with the degree of atherosclerosis was found. Parrots without atherosclerosis had significantly higher levels of alpha-linolenic acid than did the other animals. On the basis of these data, we suggest tentatively that a high dietary intake of alpha-linolenic acid protects against the development of atherosclerosis in parrots.  相似文献

Cryptosporidiosis was diagnosed in the cloacal coprodeum of two red-lored parrots (Amazona autumnalis). The parasites were adhered to the microvillus border of epithelial cells and their presence was associated with loss and atrophy of microvilli. Merozoites, trophozoites, gametes, and oocytes were identified with light and transmission electron microscopy. The coprodeal epithelium was hyperplastic and the lamina propria was infiltrated with moderate numbers of heterophils and lymphocytes.  相似文献

犬血丝虫病是由犬血丝虫寄生于犬类动物右心室或肺动脉引起的犬类动物的一种重要的寄生虫病,以循环障碍、呼吸困难、贫血为主要特征。犬血丝虫又叫犬心丝虫或犬恶丝虫,犬为其终末宿主,蚊、蚤等吸血昆虫是中间宿主。当寄生的虫体影响心脏器质功能(比如三尖瓣或肺动脉瓣功能不全)时,患犬会出现呼吸困难、胸腹水、下体浮肿等较为严重的临床症状,甚至发生急性死亡。诊断本病以外周血中查到犬血丝虫的幼虫微丝蚴为主。治疗本病则以驱虫为主,补血、输液等对症治疗作为辅助措施。  相似文献

Transposition of the pectoral muscles for treatment of caudal bifid (cleft) sternum in 2 unrelated African Grey Parrots is described. The birds did not have clinical signs of ventilatory compromise prior to surgery; however, both had cutaneous ulcers over the defects. Various seed diets containing chlortetracycline were fed to large and small parrots to evaluate serum chlortetracycline concentrations. The substitution of dehulled sunflower seed for whole sunflower in the seed mix may have resulted in higher chlortetracycline concentrations in cockatoos and parrots. The serum chlortetracycline concentration achieved for all diets was less than the goal of 1 μg/mL, but the concentrations attained may be useful for therapy.  相似文献
