Recently, Zhejiang Province decided to carry out register system of animal culturing farms or plants to promote the quality safety of farm products. According to the new regulation, all the organization or individual animal raising farms or plants in the administrative region of Zhejiang Province must apply for registration from local county-level agricultural administrative authorities. In addition, they must build files for the farms, including the items: animal species, number, breeding record, mark, applying object, use method, drug withdrawal period, as well as disease, diagnosis, death and bio-safety disposal etc.  相似文献

Individuals of four species of Leporinus were captured in the floodplain of the Upper Paraná River and their metazoan parasites were collected. Fifty-eight taxa of ectoparasites and endoparasites were recorded: 31 in Leporinus lacustris, 32 in Leporinus friderici, 28 in Leporinus obtusidens and 25 in Leporinus elongatus. The aim of this paper was to study the relationship between the host's condition and the parameters of infrapopulations and infracommunities. The health of the host was represented by the relative condition factor (Kn). Richness and number of individuals in the infracommunities of ectoparasites covariated with the Kn of the hosts in one species of fish. Some infrapopulations of ectoparasites covariated negatively and/or the mean Kn of parasitized individuals was lower than those without parasites. The abundance in some infrapopulations of endoparasites covariated positively with the Kn and/or the mean Kn of parasitized fish was better. These results may be related to different transmission strategies used by ecto and endoparasites.  相似文献

The capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris) is a selective herbivore that may show a preference for certain plant species. Such a preference is likely to be explained by the nutritional benefits hypothesis, stating that the nutritional value of species selected by capybaras is higher than that of avoided ones. Therefore, the objectives of this work are to evaluate the nutritional value of the plant species eaten by capybaras in the Lower Delta of the Paraná River, and to test the nutritional benefits hypothesis by analyzing forage quality. Samples of consumed plant species were collected from habitats located in the study area. We also collected plant species that are very abundant in the field but absent in the capybara’s diet, some of which are consumed by other native herbivores such as coypus (Myocastor coypus). Their nutritional quality was analyzed by estimating the following variables: water content, ash percentage, percentage of organic matter, acid detergent fiber, nitrogen percentage, crude protein, and caloric energy. The protein to fiber ratio was calculated and the water content was determined. The species consumed and not consumed by capybaras had a similar nutritional composition for all the variables analyzed (P  <  0.05). A similar result was observed when comparing within consumed species, except for the caloric energy content, which was significantly higher in species consumed in greater proportion than availability (P  <  0.05). Water content was at its minimum in species consumed in greater proportion than availability, and at its maximum in unconsumed species. No significant differences were found between consumed Poaceae and the rest of the consumed plant species for any of the analyzed variables. Diet selection by capybaras in the studied area may only be partially related to nutritional quality, and there would be other factors involved in foraging, such as physiological mechanisms of the animal or chemical and structural characteristics of food.  相似文献

Fifteen adult nembwe Serranochromis robustus (Günther, 1864) were tagged with radio transmitters in the Zambezi River, Namibia, from 4–15 November 2000 to record behaviour and outline the implications for fisheries management. The fish were tracked on average every 3.7 days until 18 May 2001. They stayed within relatively small home ranges, with a 95% probability of localization within an average area of 184 563m2. The fish utilized a mean river stretch of 1330 m (range = 24– 3787). Nembwe were recorded in a variety of habitats, and the individual variation in movements and habitat use was substantial. All the fish were recorded in the mainstream of the river, but 62% of the fish were recorded in one or more additional main habitat types. During rising and high water, 67% and 71% of the fish, respectively, were recorded in adjacent temporary flooded areas during some or all tracking surveys, but did not undertake long-distance migrations onto the floodplains. It is concluded that although staying within relatively small home ranges, nembwe appears as a species with a variable and flexible habitat utilization.  相似文献

This work evaluated parasitic infections by Neoechinorhynchus curemai (Acanthocephala: Neoechinorhynchidae) in Prochilodus lineatus captured between August 2000 and August 2001 in the Paraná River, Presidente Epitácio, S?o Paulo, Brazil. Of 87 fishes examined, 59 were infected (25 males and 34 females). High mean intensities occurred in August 2000 (45.2, range 2-204), September 2000 (28.5, range 11-73), October 2000 (59.3, range 2-250) and February 2001 (27.3, range 3-73). There was no relationship of rainfall with mean intensity and prevalence. Males were more parasitized (P<0.05) than females. This work contributes to the knowledge of helminth parasites of fish from a little studied region of the Paraná River, showing diversity in their fauna when compared to other places in the same river.  相似文献

The history of recorded cases of anthrax in human beings and animals from 1909 to 2012 in the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea is reviewed. The disease was endemic until the middle of the 20th century, but the incidence decreased thereafter, with only sporadic cases from the 1980s onwards. Human cases have not been diagnosed in the region since 1984 and the number of episodes of animal disease has reduced to less than one per year. This decline is mostly due to the disruption of the infective cycle by improved veterinary control, including vaccination, treatment and outbreak management. A policy of reactive vaccination for 10 years of affected herds and herds grazing in their proximity has been applied. No new outbreaks have been observed in such herds after the cessation of vaccination, despite continued grazing on the same sites, so it is assumed that spore survival in such areas is shorter than 10 years. This is independent of the soil composition, which is calcareous throughout most of the relevant area. However, reemergence of anthrax, even after decades, has occurred following disturbance and heavy rainfall.  相似文献

In order to explore the characteristics of nutrient contents and scientifically evaluate the nutritional value of the alpine grassland plants in the source area of the Yellow River, the plants of the five different alpine grasslands were selected as the research objects, and the content of crude protein (CP), ether extract (EE), crude fiber (CF), crude ash (CA), total phosphorus (TP) of the plants were determined. At the same time, the principal component analysis method was used for quantitative comprehensive evaluation of the plants nutritional value. The results showed that the CP content of the plants in all alpine grasslands was between 12.78%~15.35%, the EE content was between 2.63%~3.38%, the CF content was between 17.56%~25.16%, the CA content was between 5.52%~11.53% and the TP content was between 0.11%~0.27%. The order of nutrient value of plants in different alpine grassland from high to low was: degraded alpine meadow > native alpine meadow > swamp meadow > degraded alpine steppe> native alpine steppe;The order of yield per unit area of the total nutrients of plants in different alpine grasslands from high to low was: swamp meadow > native alpine meadow > native alpine steppe> degraded alpine steppe> degraded alpine meadow;The order of nutrient value of different plant species from high to low was: Leguminosae>Forbs >Cyperaceae>Gramineae. © 2019 Authors. In this study,an alpine grassland in Henan County,Qinghai Province,in the source region of the Yellow River,was selected as the study area. The shear strength of root-soil composite system characteristics of 6 different plant combination types of grassland were explored by field investigation and sampling and indoor tests,which aimed to provide a theoretical basis for preventing and controlling soil erosion and shallow landslide caused by grassland degradation. The test results showed that the shear strength of root-soil composite system of 6 different combinations was a increasing trend with the decrease of altitude. Namely,the shear strength of the root-soil composite system of Stipa purpurea Griseb. + Kobresia pygmaea C. B. Clarke at the top of the sunny slope was 27.76 kPa and the value of Elymus nutans Griseb. at the bottom of the sunny slope was 37.53 kPa. The reasons why the shear strength of 6 kinds of combinations varied from large to small with the decrease of altitude were related to their density,moisture content,root content and dry weight of roots in the root-soil composite system samples. That is,the root content of composite system at the top,middle and bottom of the sunny slope were 6.2%,5.5% and 16.2%,respectively.
