The effect of dietary substitution of animal and/or plant protein sources for fishmeal on the growth and body composition of juvenile abalone was determined. Nine experimental diets in triplicate were prepared: Con, SM, PM, CM, SPM, MB, SM+CM, SM+SPM and CM+SPM diets. A 350 g kg?1 fishmeal was included in the Con diet, and the whole fishmeal was substituted with a 580 g kg?1 soybean meal (SM), 335 g kg?1 poultry meal (PM), 370 g kg?1 corn gluten meal (CM), 325 g kg?1 silkworm pupae meal dehydrated (SPM), 590 g kg?1 meat and bone meal (MB), the combined 290 g kg?1 soybean meal and 180 g kg?1 corn gluten meal (SM+CM), 290 g kg?1 soybean meal and 160 g kg?1 silkworm pupae meal dehydrated (SM+SPM) and 180 g kg?1 corn gluten meal and 170 g kg?1 silkworm pupae meal dehydrated (CM+SPM) diets respectively. All experimental diets were iso‐nitronic and iso‐lipidic. The survival of abalone fed with the SM and SM+SPM diets was higher than that of abalone fed with the CM, SPM, MB and CM+SPM diets. Weight gain of abalone fed with the SM+SPM diet was higher than that of abalone fed with all the other experimental diets, except for that of abalone fed with the SM+CM diet. The combined soybean meal and corn gluten meal (SM+CM) or silkworm pupae meal (SM+SPM) could be replaced with the whole fishmeal in the diet for abalone and improved its performance.  相似文献

The effects of dietary substitution of fishmeal with the combined dry Nannochloropsis oceanica (NO) biomass residue and casein on growth performance and carcass composition of juvenile abalone was determined. One thousand two hundred and sixty juvenile abalone were randomly distributed into the 18 L plastic rectangular containers. Five experimental diets in triplicate were prepared. The 28% fishmeal was included into the control (Con) diet. The 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% fishmeal were substituted with the combination of graded levels of dry NO biomass residue and casein, referred to as the NO25, NO50, NO75 and NO100 diets respectively. Finally, the salted sea tangle (ST), Laminaria japonica was prepared to compare the effect of the experimental diets on performance of abalone. The essential amino acids, such as isoleucine, leucine, phenylalanine, threonine and valine tended to increase with dietary substitution of fishmeal with NO biomass residue in the experimental diets. Arginine tended to decrease with dietary substitution of fishmeal with NO biomass residue. Survival of abalone fed the experimental diets was higher than that of abalone fed the ST diet for 16 weeks. Weight gain and specific growth rate (SGR) of abalone fed the NO100 diet were higher than those of abalone fed the all other diets. Weight gain and SGR of abalone linearly increased with dietary substation of fishmeal with NO. Shell length of abalone tended to increase with dietary substitution of fishmeal with the combined dry NO biomass residue and casein. The chemical composition of the soft body of abalone was different among treatments except for moisture content. In conclusion, fishmeal in the diets for abalone could be completely replaced with the combined dry NO biomass residue and casein when the 28% fishmeal was included.  相似文献

Two feeding experiments were carried out to evaluate the utilization of fermented soybean meal (FSBM) in diets for Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). The digestibility experiment was assessed with four diets: a reference diet and three ingredient test diets containing FSBM, local and Chilean fishmeal. The growth experiment was conducted including four isonitrogenous and isocaloric diets formulated to contain the graded levels of dietary fishmeal (0 g/kg, 150 g/kg, 300 g/kg and 450 g/kg) substituted by FSBM. The results indicated that ADCs of crude protein in FSBM were high (888.4 g/kg) and equal in local fishmeal but little lower than Chilean fishmeal while without any significant differences observed in ADCs of crude lipid among the different test ingredients. After 75 days of growth trial, survival rates and feed conversion ratio were not significantly different among the experimental treatments. However, shrimp fed the diets with increasing inclusions of FSBM had a tendency to reduce weight gain and specific growth rate. Based on the correlation between weight gain and substituted fishmeal level analysed by broken‐line regression, the optimum level of fishmeal replaced by FSBM in diet was 253.6 g/kg without adverse effects on growth and feed utilization of Pacific white shrimp.  相似文献

One of the challenges for the culture of any species is to control the loss of genetic variability, which may result in a decrease in the quality of commercially important traits. The goal of this study is to assess the genetic diversity of a hatchery population of the Pacific abalone ( Haliotis discus hannai ) from the Center for Abalone Production of the Universidad Católica del Norte (CAP-UCN) that is maintained under a breeding programme. We used six polymorphic microsatellite markers within the cultivated population. The loci Awb033 and Awb079 had the highest number of alleles (11 and 10 respectively) and the loci Awb022 and Awb026 the lowest (two and four respectively). The mean number of alleles per locus was 6.83. The average observed and expected heterozygosities were 0.71 and 0.70, respectively, and the average F IS ( f ) index was −0.023. We compared the population genetic parameters of the CAP-UCN population with previously published data of wild and hatchery populations of the same species. Results indicate lower genetic diversity estimated as allelic richness in the introduced population with a loss of 11–58% alleles per locus. Despite the high allelic loss, the estimated inbreeding coefficient suggests that the breeding programme carried out in the CAP-UCN has controlled and maintained heterozygosity levels successfully. A temporal study is necessary to determine whether the genetic diversity loss detected was caused during the initial introduction of breeders or to the breeding programme actually implemented.  相似文献

The locations and effects of quantitative trait loci (QTL) were estimated for nine characters for growth‐related traits in the Pacific abalone (Haliotis discus hannai Ino) using a randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD), amplification fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) and SSR genetic linkage map. Twenty‐eight putatively significant QTLs (LOD>2.4) were detected for nine traits (shell length, shell width, total weight, shell weight, weight of soft part, muscle weight, gonad and digestive gland weight, mantle weight and gill weight). The percentage of phenotypic variation explained by a single QTL ranged from 8.0% to 35.9%. The significant correlations (P<0.001) were found among all the growth‐related traits, and Pearson's correlation coefficients were more than 0.81. For the female map, the QTL for growth were concentrated on groups 1 and 4 linkage maps. On the male map, the QTL that influenced growth‐related traits gathered on the groups 1 and 9 linkage maps. Genetic linkage map construction and QTL analysis for growth‐related traits are the basis for the marker‐assisted selection and will eventually improve production and quality of the Pacific abalone.  相似文献

Pacific abalone (Haliotis discus hannai Ino) aquaculture is a thriving industry in China. This study describes a novel submerged cage culture system for abalone rearing in Fujian, South China. The cage consisted of five vertical slots that were oriented perpendicular to the flow of water. The slots were separated by six vertically connected plastic plates for abalone attachment and shelter at the bottom of the cage. Experiment 1 was designed to determine the appropriate stocking density at the start of the abalone sea‐based production cycle. Eight‐month‐old hatchery reared and size‐graded juveniles were transferred to the sea‐based culture system. For different stocking densities, shell length of juveniles obtained in this novel culture system on 2, 3.5 and 5 months, respectively, was compared with shell lengths obtained in a traditionally multi‐tier basket culture system. In Experiment 2, daily growth rates (DGRs) in shell length and biomass in terms of wet weight of 2‐year‐old abalones reared in cage and tiered basket culture systems were compared over a 6‐month period. Results of Experiment 1 showed that growth of abalone in the cage culture system is density‐dependent; the mean final shell length of juveniles obtained was 6.7–15.9% higher than in tiered baskets system even at the same initial stocking density. In Experiment 2, DGRs in shell length of 53.83–78.38 μm day?1 obtained in cage system were significantly higher than that in tiered baskets (< 0.01). And in terms of wet weight biomass, it was 1.48–3.01 times higher in the cage system compared with the traditional system. Abalone survival was more than 87.5% in both culture systems in both experiments. Advantages of the newly established cage culture system included better growth performance of the animals reared and potential improvement of rearing conditions, such as improved water flow velocity and dissolved oxygen.  相似文献

The feasibility of substituting soybean meal for fishmeal diets for juvenile white shrimp Litopenaeus schmitti (0.35±0.01 g) was evaluated, and an adequate substitution level was determined. Five diets were evaluated using 46%, 59%, 75%, 88% and 100% substitution levels. Pellet water stability was significantly affected by dietary soybean content (P<0.05). Increased soybean content produced lower pellet stability, ranging from a dry matter loss of 14–22% after a 2‐h immersion, and 20–33% after an 8‐h immersion. After 52 days, significant differences (P<0.05) were found in shrimp weight, feed conversion ratio and protein efficiency ratio. The values were 0.64–1.06 g, 2.8–7.9 and 0.45–1.21, respectively, for the three measurements. Overall, better results were obtained with diets where soybean meal was substituted for fishmeal up to 75%. The 100% soybean meal diet resulted in poor growth performance of shrimp. Survival rates were acceptable for all treatments (90% or higher) and no significant differences were found in survival between treatments. Regression analysis using the broken‐line methodology indicated that 76.5±2% is an optimum soybean substitution level in diets that contained fishmeal and soybean as the major protein sources for grow‐out of juvenile white shrimp.  相似文献

Particle size distribution, organic content and the sinking velocity of bio‐deposits of abalone Haliotis discus hannai Ino were evaluated. The abalone was divided into three size classes according to shell length: Group B: 68.8 ± 2.8 mm, group M: 56.1 ± 2.3 mm and group S: 42.4 ± 2.8 mm. The faecal pellets had an amorphous shape, with a cross‐sectional area ranging from 0.01 to 2.64 mm2. The mean cross‐sectional area varied among the size classes: 0.59 (B), 0.21 (M) and 0.12 (S) mm2. The bio‐deposit organic content was similar among the groups (B: 18.3 ± 1.1%; M: 19.9 ± 0.9%; S: 19.3 ± 1.0%). Sinking velocity ranged from 0.5 to 2.3 cm s?1. Larger abalone tended to have larger and thus faster‐sinking faecal pellets. The median sinking velocity for groups B, M and S was 0.9, 0.5 and 0.7 cm s?1 respectively. The mean daily production rates for groups S, M and B were 2.8 ± 1.2, 3.4 ± 1.3 and 4.3 ± 1.8 g ind.?1 respectively. Bio‐deposit production rate estimated to be between 134.4 and 206.4 mg m?2 day?1 in the bay. Our results suggest that the pellet size was within the appropriate size range for filter‐feeding bivalves.  相似文献

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect on growth and feed efficiencies of the mangrove red snapper (Lutjanus argentimaculatus) when dietary fishmeal is partially replaced by defatted soybean meal (DSM). In the preliminary experiment, snapper (mean weight±SD, 58.22±5.28 g) were fed in triplicate with different dietary amounts of DSM (7.8–42.2%) that were formulated to be isonitrogenous and isocaloric. After 14 weeks, survival, growth and feed efficiencies, and hepatosomatic index (HSI) did not differ. Based on these results, a feeding trial was done using a positive control diet that contained 64% fishmeal, while the other four diets had DSM levels of 12%, 24%, 36%, and 48% that replaced fishmeal protein at 12.5%, 25%, 37.5%, and 50% respectively. All diets were formulated to have about the same protein level (50%), protein to energy ratio (P/E of 25‐mg protein kJ?1), and dietary energy (19.8 MJ kg?1). These were fed to triplicate groups of snapper (mean total weight tank?1±SD, 73.19±1.2 g) at 15 fish (average weight, 4.88 g) per 1.5‐t tank for 19 weeks. Growth (final average weight and specific growth rate (SGR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), survival, and HSI were not significantly different (P>0.05) while protein efficiency ratios or PERs were similar in treatments with DSM. Among snapper fed DSM, haematocrit value was significantly lower in fish fed 48% DSM and not different with fish fed 36% DSM. Whole‐body crude fat of snapper fed 48% DSM was lowest while the crude protein and nitrogen‐free extract (NFE) levels were highest. Histopathological analysis showed that lipid vacuoles in livers of snapper were reduced in size as dietary DSM increased. There was slight lipid deposition in the liver of snapper at 36% DSM while at 48% DSM it was excessive and hepatocytes were necrotic. There were no differences in the histology of snapper intestine. Under the experimental condition of this study, DSM can be used in snapper diets at 24% (replacing 25% of fishmeal protein) based on growth, survival and feed efficiencies, and histology of liver and intestine. For a lesser diet cost, an inclusion level higher than 24% DSM is possible with a bioavailable phosphorus supplement.  相似文献

This study investigates the impact of fishmeal replacement by soybean meal (SM) and improved SM known as EnzoMeal (EZ) on fish growth performance. The SM and EZ were used in five experimental diets: fishmeal (600 g/kg) as the control diet, 50% fishmeal replaced with soybean meal (SM50), 50% fishmeal replaced with EnzoMeal (EZ50), 100% fishmeal replaced with soybean meal (SM100) and 100% fishmeal replaced with EnzoMeal (EZ100). Fish in the control group gained the most weight, followed by those under the SM50 and EZ50 diets, while the least weight gain was observed in fish fed the SM100 and EZ100 diets. The specific growth rate (SGR) was higher in the control, but was not different between fish fed SM50 and EZ50, or between SM100 and EZ100. The highest feed intake occurred in the control but decreased sequentially from fish fed SM50 to fish fed EZ50, EZ100 and SM100. Protein digestibility was best in SM50, poorest in EZ100, but no difference between the control, EZ50 and SM100 diets. This study indicates that EnzoMeal, containing high crude protein (56%), is a potential source of plant meal to replace fishmeal in the barramundi diet, but low feed intake is a challenge when EnzoMeal is >300 g/kg.  相似文献

Dietary substitution effect of sea tangle (ST) with rice bran (RB) on growth and carcass composition of juvenile abalone (Haliotis discus) was determined. Juvenile abalone was acclimated to the experimental conditions for 4 weeks. Seventy juvenile abalone averaging 0.43 g were randomly distributed into each of the 18, 70 L plastic rectangular containers. The experimental diets were fed to abalone once a day at a satiation level with a little leftover. The feeding trial lasted for 16 weeks. Survival of abalone was not affected by dietary substitution of ST with RB. However, weight gain of abalone fed the RB40 diet was higher than that of abalone fed the all other diets except for the RB0 diet. No significant difference in weight gain was found in abalone fed between the RB0 and RB100 diets. SGR of abalone fed the RB40 diet was higher than that of abalone fed the all other diets. Also SGR of abalone fed the RB0 diet was higher than that of abalone fed the RB100 diet, but not different from that of abalone fed the RB20, RB60 and RB80 diets. Moisture, crude protein and ash content of the soft body of abalone were affected by dietary substitution of ST with RB. In conclusion, the 100% ST could be substituted with RB without a retardation of weight gain of abalone when the 20% ST was included into the experimental diet. However, the best growth performance was obtained in abalone fed the RB40 diet substituting 40% ST with RB.  相似文献

An 8‐week feeding experiment was conducted in floating cages (1.5 × 1.0 × 2.0 m) to determine the potential use of defatted soybean meal (roasted and solvent‐extracted) as a partial replacement of fishmeal in the isonitrogenous (approximately 450 g kg?1 CP [crude protein]) diet for juvenile cobia with an initial average weight of about 8.3 g. Diets were formulated to include 0, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 g kg?1 (diets D0, D10, D20, D30, D40, D50 and D60, respectively) of fishmeal protein being substituted by defatted soybean meal without methionine supplementation. The results showed that weight gain rate decreased significantly when the replacement level of fishmeal protein was increased from 400 g kg?1 to 500 g kg?1, and the D60 diet was the lowest in all groups. These results indicate that up to 400 g kg?1 of fishmeal protein can be replaced by defatted soybean meal without causing significant reduction in growth. Feed conversion ratio (FCR) and protein efficiency ratio (PER) were significantly affected by the replacement level of fishmeal protein being substituted by defatted soybean meal, when the replacement level of fishmeal protein was 200 g kg?1 (diet, D20), FCR was the lowest and PER was the highest. There were no significant differences in the moisture, lipid, crude protein and ash content in whole body and muscle, while lipid content in liver increased as the dietary soybean meal replacement levels increased. There were significant differences in haemoglobin, haematocrit, red blood cell, plasma glucose and triglyceride concentration in fish fed diets with different soybean meal replacement levels. Results of this trial indicated that the optimum level of fishmeal protein replacement with defatted soybean meal, determined by quadratic regression analysis was 189.2 g kg?1, on the basis of maximum weight gain.  相似文献

对壳长为65mm的皱纹盘鲍进行投喂2d、饥饿1~4d的周期性断食处理,连续投喂组作为对照。皱纹盘鲍的摄食、生长、排粪和血细胞组成的研究结果表明,当投喂2d,饥饿天数少于2d时,皱纹盘鲍的生长没有显著差异(P>0.05),饥饿天数多于3d,鲍体重开始下降;摄食率呈随解饿时间增加呈升高趋势,但实验组间无显著差异(P>0.05);排粪率与粪便中的有机物含量随饥饿时间增长而降低,其中,各处理阶段间的差异显著(P<0.05)。血细胞中颗粒细胞的比例在饥饿少于2d的实验组间无差异,但显著高于投喂2d、饥饿3d的实验组与投喂2d、饥饿4d的实验组(P<0.05)。  相似文献

为探讨中华绒螯蟹幼蟹的饲料大豆替代豆粕的适宜替代量,配制4种不同替代水平(0、40%、60%和80%)的等氮等能饲料,饲喂初重(5.34±0.19)g的中华绒螯蟹幼蟹5个月,测定其生长性能、消化酶活性和抗氧化能力。结果显示,各组蟹的增重率、饲料系数和存活率差异不具统计学意义(P>0.05);随着大豆替代豆粕的比例上升,蟹肝胰腺胰蛋白酶、脂肪酶和淀粉酶水平呈显著下降趋势(P<0.05);各组蟹肝胰腺超氧化物歧化酶、过氧化氢酶及总抗氧化活力的水平差异均不具统计学意义(P>0.05)。综上所述,饲料中用大豆替代40%~80%的豆粕不会显著影响中华绒螯蟹的生长性能和抗氧化能力,但是对机体的消化酶有一定的负面影响。  相似文献

A 12‐week feeding trial was carried out with discus (Symphysodon aequifasciata HECKEL), a valuable ornamental species produced in South East Asia, to determine the suitability of using soybean meal as a partial fishmeal substitution in the diet. Juvenile discus (4.3–4.8 g) was fed eight experimental diets with graded levels of soybean meal replacing fish meal (0%, 10%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 50%). Growth performance (relative growth rate, specific growth rate) decreased and feed utilization (feed conversion ratio, protein efficiency ratio) was worsened at 30% replacement and higher. Amino‐acid analysis indicated methionine and lysine deficiencies at dietary high soybean replacement levels, although the essential amino‐acid requirements for this species are unknown. The level of soybean in diets negatively affected both dry matter and protein digestibility. This present trial showed the need for further studies involving amino‐acid supplementation, different soy products and palatability enhancement to improve utilization of diets containing soybean meal to allow higher than the maximum 30% replacement level suggested here.  相似文献

The Pacific abalone, Haliotis discus hannai Ino, is one of most important aquaculture species in China. Artificial selection has been the common and inevitable approach in breeding. In present study, the effect of artificial selection on the genetic structure of two abalone lines (JJ selection strain, three successive selection lines based on the fast‐growing trait, which was named JJF0, JJF1, JJF2, and JJF3; and R selection strain, the offspring of the red shell colored variants) were evaluated using 10 microsatellites. Loci showed from low to high polymorphism, with the number of alleles (A) ranging from 2 to 18 in each population. The mean observed (Ho) and expected heterozygosities (He) were 0.650 ± 0.022 and 0.711 ± 0.018, respectively. In selection strain JJ, the values for most diversity genetic indexes (Ae, the number of effective alleles, Ho and He) decreased from JJF0 to JJF3. Meanwhile, compared to JJ line, the genetic diversity estimates of R were close to those of JJF3. Nei's genetic distance ranged from 0.20357 to 0.51346. The unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean tree based on Nei's genetic distance also showed that the control Japan population and JJF0 formed to a cluster firstly, which were subsequently grouped together with JJF1, JJF2, JJF3, whereas the R was isolated from the rest of the populations. Analysis of genetic information indicated that genetic diversity was lost with artificial selection practices. Mechanisms underlying the maintenance of an acceptable level of genetic diversity while pursuing economic interests should be conducted in future research studies.  相似文献

No studies have been focused on the inclusion of organic selenium in formulated feed of abalone when organic minerals are accepted by aquaculture feed industry. This experiment evaluated the effect of organic selenium on the growth, antioxidation, immunity and gene expressions of selenoproteins in abalone. Graded levels of organic selenium were included to the basal diet at 0.00, 0.15, 0.30 and 0.60 ppm providing 157.83, 322.51, 437.59 and 596.59 ug/kg of selenium in the diet. Accordingly, the diets were named as Se‐0.00, Se‐0.15, Se‐0.30 and Se‐0.60 respectively. Results had shown that survival rate, weight gain rate and shell length increase rate were lowest for Se‐0.60 group (p < 0.05). The concentration of selenium in the whole body generally increased with increasing level of dietary organic selenium (p < 0.05). The enzyme activities related to antioxidation increased initially with low levels of dietary selenium and decreased with higher levels, with the highest value in Se‐0.30 group (p < 0.05). The enzyme activities of immunity increased with the addition of dietary selenium. With the increase of dietary selenium, Myostain expression decreased initially and increased afterwards, with lowest value for Se‐0.30 group (p < 0.05). However, the expressions of other genes related to growth, antioxidation and selenoproteins firstly increased and then decreased, with the highest value recorded for Se‐0.15 group. In conclusion, the inclusion rate of 0.15 – 0.30 ppm Se in diet could promote growth, antioxidation, immunity and gene expressions of selenoproteins in abalone; however, excess selenium with 0.60 ppm inclusion lever in diet had toxic effects.  相似文献

采用抑制消减杂交(suppression subtractive hybridization,SSH)技术研究皱纹盘鲍(Haliotis discus hannai Ino.)Vc缺乏诱导的差异表达基因.实验用皱纹盘鲍成鲍初始体质量为(74.32±0.43)g,初始壳长为(84.36±0.24)mm.配制了Vc缺乏(0.0 mg/kg)和高剂量添加(4 967.5 mg/kg)2个水平的人工饲料进行饲喂.经过170d的养殖后,分别构建肝胰腺和肾脏Vc缺乏消减cDNA文库.消减杂交效率分析显示,差异表达的基因分别被富集了大约25和25~210倍.从两个文库中随机挑选阳性克隆进行测序.在肝胰腺消减cDNA文库中获得63个片段,其中已知功能基因占54.0%,Gene ontology(GO)按照功能将其分为4类:代谢相关基因占15.9%,细胞代谢相关基因占30.2%.生物调节相关基因占4.8%,其他功能基因占3.2%.未知功能基因占46.0%.在肾脏消减cDNA文库中获得39个片段,其中已知功能基因占53.8%,GO将其分为3类:代谢相关基因占5.1%,细胞代谢相关基因占28.2%,生物调节相关基因占20.5%.未知功能基因占46.2%.其中,获得了包括细胞色素c氧化酶、葡萄糖-1脱氢酶、α-葡萄糖苷酶、β-1,3-D-葡聚糖酶、纤维素酶、藻酸盐裂解酶以及铁蛋白等在其他动物中被证明与Vc合成相关的基因,为进一步研究皱纹盘鲍Vc的合成和代谢奠定了基础.  相似文献
