On the Regional Culture Features of the Traditional Folk Housing Architecture of Huizhou Style

The traditional architecture of Huizhou style with its unique regional cultural features makes a well- developed genre of architecture in late ancient China. Especially, the traditional folk housing of Huizhou style is the most vivid embodiment of Huizhou culture, reflecting the social history and culture in Huizhou area. The location and setting of the traditional folk housing in ancient Huizhou is greatly influenced by the geomantic theory, a fact that can be best detected in the practice of building artificial landscapes at the accesses to villages. The internal structure of the traditional folk housing of Huizhou style vividly reveals the ideology and the system of the patriarchy in ancient Huizhou. Being traders but sticking to the identity and temperament of Confucian scholars, local merchants of ancient Huizhou fostered a unique culture, which has shaped an distinctive artistic charm found in the internal decoration and furnishings of the traditional folk housing in ancient Huizhou.     

"Renaissance Ideology" and Chinese Traditional Architectural Culture

Owing to the special geographic environment and chronic historical accumulation,the Chinese nation has formed the national character mainly based on "renaissance ideology",which has exerted a profound influence on the forming and development of Chinese traditional architecture.By discussing the spatial pattern characteristics of country,cities,courtyards and geomantic omen,the authors indicate their common feature-enclosure,and summarize the spatial pattern of Chinese traditional architecture influenced by "renaissance ideology"-layer upon layer enclosure by bringing the spatial patterns of different layers into a unified framework.At the same time,the construction activity is extended to social culture so as to find out the correlation between the spatial pattern of Chinese traditional architecture and national character.     

Regional Architecture and Design Practice

Taking a project practice for example,this paper probed into the design methods of regional architecture in such aspects as geographic environment,traditional folk residence style,space environment and construction material etc.In this paper,one of the developing directions of modern architecture,i.e.the regional architecture design is pointed out first,then,the correlation between regional architecture and natural environment as well as historical culture tradition,space environment and material application of regional architecture,etc.were systematically discussed,it also indicated that the regional architecture should be an organic renewal of traditional folk residence style.It is concluded that the regional architecture should be in accordance with the nature.     

城市公园灰空间研究——以哈尔滨太阳岛公园为例

"灰空间"作为一个建筑概念被提出,主要指连接室内外的过渡空间。近年来,灰空间也逐渐被应用到园林领域。基于建筑和园林灰空间的研究,提出了城市公园灰空间的定义,确定了其属性、形态、密度和类型,并以哈尔滨太阳岛公园内12处灰空间为研究对象,按形态将其分为4类,结合属性、密度、类型3个方面进行实例分析,以期通过分析对未来城市公园的设计起到积极的作用。     

Three Turns of Contemporary Architecture and the Chinese Traditional Thoughts

Significant changes have taken place within the contemporary architecture since the 20th century: firstly the architecture turns from "thing" to "nothing",secondly the experience of architecture turns from logic to essence intuition,and thirdly the architecture turns from noun to verb,from which we find in surprise the sparks of the Chinese traditional thought which criticizes all the ready-made,especially the conceptual thought with its happening and generation,and shows a new non-subject-object-dimidiate,non-logical and fundamentally non-metaphysical perspective in theory.This made it possible for us to reconsider and reinterpret the contemporary architecture from a more original new perspective.

Analysis and Design of the Architecture for TPL System

Architecture of Logistics system is the interior operation environment and business platform for Logistics companies, which is to steer to build special logistics system and tactics frame-saw to realize the company's objectives. By introducing and analyzing the overall plan of Chongqing Baiyun Lake tourist development area and several main highlight landscapes, this paper points out that the creation of architectural environment should reflect the traditional culture. It is the basis for creation with architectural characters. It also coincides with the building philosophy-"tian ren he yi"(integration of nature with human beings), proposed by Chinese traditional architecture.     

Study of the Disaster Prevention in the Process of the Traditional Dwelling Formation Through the Hakka''s Dwelling in Meizhou

Disaster prevention is the main reason of building origin and its direct developing motivation.The hakka's ancestor migrated from the Yellow River drainage basin for escaping the wars and built the dwellings with the style of homeland building,which comes to the first formation of the traditional architecture.Through the understanding the nature disasters and the results of disaster prevention,the hakka changed the plan and body of the building.The traditional dwellings in their matured stage improve their life-span by application of the disasters prevention measures.     

Exploration of Contemporary Minimalism Architecture Design

Introduced by a seminar about minimalism in art and architecture, and based on the comparative research under multi-dimension, in this paper, the genesis of minimalism in architecture is retraced, its design principles are deeply explored and its design features as well as inspirations for architecture design in China are summarized through some cases study related to minimalism. At the end, it points out that the minimalism in architecture is a feasible way in the multi-direction architecture designs.     

冬小麦品种（系）穗层结构的差异及其与产量的关系

调查分析了12个品比试验的小麦品种（系）和3个当前主栽品种的穗层厚、穗层数、曲线宽度、穗层章度比、穗层结构指数等穗层结构指标，结果表明：冬小麦品种（系）穗层结构存在很大差异。高产品种可以有不同的穗层结构，不宜把穗层欠整齐一律当作低产性状而加以淘汰。本文提出的穗层结构指数，可以作为选择品种的参考。不同穗层结构指标要综合分析、互相验证，有助于对品种穗层结构特性作出较科学合理的评价。     

Poetic and Pictorial Splendor-Expression of Traditional Chinese Literati in Chinese Architecture

The expression of traditional Chinese literati is based on connection, seeking emotion and harmony. With various forms, though, this style of expression shares the same value in some art forms, like traditional Chinese poetry, calligraphy and paintings, and Chinese architecture. Based on the commonalities of various forms of literature and art, this paper offered an insight into Chinese architecture in light of poetic and pictorial expression of traditional Chinese literati. In order to illuminate the corresponding connection between traditional Chinese poetry, calligraphy and paintings, and Chinese architecture, this paper discussed the expression of Chinese architecture corresponding to the essence of traditional Chinese poetry, calligraphy and paintings respectively from the perspective of philosophy, aesthetics, and culture study of Chinese architecture. Via analogous analysis, which includes the analogy between the emotion of architecture and the feelings in traditional poetry, the analogy between the order of architecture and the spirit of calligraphy, and the analogy between the artistic conception and the picturesque scene, the poetic and pictorial expression of Chinese architecture was clarified. This paper emphasized that Chinese architecture needs to jump out of the concrete image, eradicate the interdisciplinary boundaries, and stress the integration of arts and humanities in a higher level, to express Chinese architecture in a Chinese way. That means making Chinese architecture modern in forms and techniques, and traditional in spirit and artistic conception.

Traditional maintenance breeding of landraces: 1. Data by crop

Examples of the methods of traditional maintenance breeding of several crops, cited in literature, are presented. It is concluded that, although crops are grown all over the world, only few examples are sufficiently described. Only for maize some reliable data are available. Three explanations for this small number are 1. the farmers are not aware of their knowledge of growing crops (including traditional maintenance breeding), 2. the interviewers and other scientists are not acquainted with this farmer's knowledge, or 3. most farmers do not actually perform traditional maintenance breeding, as they and their ancestors probably have experienced that traditional maintenance breeding does not result in a better crop. They must have thought that seed replacement was a better method to maintain the yielding capacity of their crops. 基于VRML的虚拟园林设计要素构建

虚拟现实技术应用于园林设计,可利用动态和交互方式对未来的园林进行身临其境的全方位审视,可达到传统的园林效果图所无法达到的效果,然而目前虚拟技术在园林中的应用比较少。笔者基于VRML技术对园林设计要素的（植物、建筑、地形和水体）构建进行探索,实现了园林设计四大要素的三维模型构建和互联网上的漫游与交互功能。研究表明基于VRML构建园林设计要素的方法是行之有效的,而且效果比较好。
