Juvenile mirror carp were fed with five different diets containing 303, 322, 341, 361 and 379 g kg?1 protein and reared at three different water temperatures (18, 23 and 28 °C) for 60 days. We investigated the insulin‐like growth factor I (IGF‐I) mRNA expression, growth performance and the relationship between IGF‐I mRNA expression and the growth performance. The results indicated that the IGF‐I mRNA expression, final body weight, specific growth rate (SGR) and feed efficiency (FE) were enhanced significantly with increasing dietary protein levels (< 0.05), whereas the protein efficiency ratio, hepatosomatic index (HSI) and viscerosomatic index (VSI) were decreased. Moreover, the IGF‐I mRNA expression, final body weight and SGR were increased significantly with temperature, whereas the HSI and VSI indices were decreased significantly with temperature. Correlation analysis showed that the IGF‐I mRNA expression levels in the brain and liver were positively related to the SGR and FE growth indices (< 0.01). Finally, the optimal protein requirements for fish growth in different seasons were determined based on the values of SGR and FE, that is 343–348 g kg?1 protein at 18 °C, 354–352 g kg?1 at 23 °C and 371–362 g kg?1 at 28 °C. In this way, we can adjust the dietary protein levels according to culture temperature to reduce any negative impacts on dietary costs and environmental pollution.  相似文献

An 8‐week feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of ascorbic acid (AsA), in the form of l ‐ascorbyl‐2‐polyphosphate (LAPP) on growth performance, body composition, antioxidative capacity and salinity stress tolerance of juvenile Pacific white shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei. Five practical diets (46% crude protein and 7.6% lipid) supplemented with graded levels of AsA (14.64, 48.55, 84.98, 308.36 and 639.27 mg kg?1 diet) were fed to five replicate groups of L. vannamei (mean initial wet weight 0.57 g). No significant differences were found on growth performance among all treatments. However, whole body lipid content significantly decreased with dietary AsA levels increasing. Activities of total antioxidant capacity, glutathione reductase and glutathione peroxidase were significantly affected by dietary AsA levels. Shrimp fed LAPP‐free diet had higher malondialdehyde content than those fed the diets supplemented with LAPP. Dietary AsA levels higher than 308.36 mg kg?1 diet increased the survival of shrimps after 1, 2 and 3 h of acute salinity change. Broken‐line regression analysis on survival after 3 h of salinity stress and second‐degree polynomial regression analysis on glutathione reductase data indicated that the optimal dietary AsA requirement of L. vannamei was estimated to be 306.39, 319.75 mg kg?1 diet respectively.  相似文献

Insulin‐like growth factor (IGF) plays a key role in the complex system that regulates bony fish growth, differentiation, and reproduction. In the current study, recombinant tongue sole IGF‐1 and IGF‐2 were obtained using the Pichia pastoris expression system and their comparative bioactivities were investigated. Tricine–SDS–PAGE and western blot analysis showed that the recombinant tongue sole IGFs were secreted into the culture medium and had a molecular weight of 8.7 kDa. The optimal incubation time and pH for recombinant expression of IGFs were 36 hr and 5.0 respectively. Functional analysis demonstrated that both recombinant tongue sole IGF‐1 and IGF‐2 significantly promoted cell proliferation of MFC‐7 in vitro. In addition, the recombinant tongue sole IGF‐1 and IGF‐2 proteins could suppress hepatic mRNA levels of igf‐1 and igf‐2 in vitro, which showed that they have similar physiological functions. Taken together, the biologically active recombinant tongue sole IGF‐I and IGF‐II proteins will allow us to further investigate their physiological roles in growth regulation of this species. Furthermore, the present results also hinted at the potential application of these two recombinant IGF‐I and IGF‐II proteins into the tongue sole farming industry.  相似文献

Dietary supplementation (0, 10, 20, 40, 60, 80 g kg?1) of a nucleotide source (NuPro®) was evaluated on growth, nutrient utilization, haemato‐immunological responses and resistance to experimental infection of Nile tilapia. Fish (2.63 ± 0.63 g) were fed experimental diets to satiation three times a day for 75 days. Feed intake increased linearly with increasing levels of NuPro® promoting higher weight gain (P < 0.05). Survival, feed conversion and protein retention were not affected. Following the growth trial, fish were challenged with Aeromonas hydrophila by intraperitoneal injection. Survival and innate immune responses (phagocytosis and lysozyme activity) were not significantly affected. However, among the haematological variables, thrombocyte, leucocyte and monocyte counts increased linearly (P < 0.05). The indirect measurement of digestibility in juvenile Nile tilapia (122.32 ± 11 g) indicated a linear decrease in protein (1.41%), dry matter (5.72%) and energy (4.10%) digestibility coefficients as dietary supplementation increased (P < 0.05). NuPro® showed to be a beneficial additive to be supplemented in diets for juvenile Nile tilapia, providing 32.8% increase in feed intake and 28.8% in weight gain, as well as in thrombocyte, leucocyte and monocyte counts in blood, possibly indicating a more efficient defence response in the highest dietary supplementation levels tested.  相似文献

Effect of nitrite exposure on growth and immuno‐metabolic responses of Labeo rohita fed L‐tryptophan (TRP) was studied. Fish previously fed normal and elevated levels of tryptophan for 60 days were exposed to nitrite (2.0 mg L?1) for another 45 days with same feeding regime. There were four treatment groups, viz., TRP0‐N (control), TRP0+N, TRP0.75+N (0.75% supplemental tryptophan in the diet) and TRP1.5+N (1.5% supplemental tryptophan in the diet). Highest weight gain% and SGR were observed in control and lowest in TRP0+N. Dietary supplementation of elevated levels of tryptophan augmented weight gain% and SGR. Nitrite exposed groups recorded higher catalase, SOD, LDH, AST and ALT activities compared with control. However, activities reduced with additional levels of tryptophan supplementation. Nitrite exposure reduced WBC count, total protein, albumin, globulin and lysozyme activity compared with unexposed group but groups which were fed additional amounts of tryptophan restored total protein, albumin and globulin similar to TRP0‐N. In conclusion, nitrite exposure had adversely affected growth, increased activities of LDH, AST, ALT, catalase, but decreased WBC, serum protein, lysozyme and acetylcholine esterase activity of L. rohita. Normal requirement of tryptophan was unable to combat nitrite stress. However, dietary fortification with tryptophan (minimum 0.75% of diet + normal requirement) found effective in combating nitrite induced stress.  相似文献

An 8‐week feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the optimum dietary γ‐aminobutyric acid (GABA) level in low fishmeal diet for juvenile Pacific white shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei. Six practical diets (449 g kg?1 protein, 87 g kg?1 lipid) supplemented with graded levels of GABA (0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 mg kg?1) were formulated. Each diet was randomly assigned to triplicate groups of 30 shrimps (approximately 0.44 g), and the shrimps were fed four times a day to apparent satiation. Weight gain and gain rate were significantly increased with the supplementation of GABA (P < 0.05). Hepatosomatic index and survival were also significantly influenced by the dietary GABA levels (P < 0.05) and show a similar trend to those of growth performance. Insulin and neuropeptide Y concentrations in blood were increased with the supplementation of GABA. In total, 150 mg GABA kg?1‐supplemented diets significantly increased the survival after 12, 24 and 36 h of NH3 stress, also increased the total antioxidant capacity, total superoxide dismutase, catalase, antihydroxyl radical and phenoloxidase activities before and after the 36 h NH3 stress compared to basic group. These results clearly indicated that GABA could improve growth performance, antioxidative capacity and resistance against NH3 stress in L. vannamei, and 150 mg kg?1 GABA supplementation was suitable for L. vannamei fed with low fishmeal diet.  相似文献

A 9‐week feeding experiment was conducted to determine the effect of dietary biotin levels on growth performance and non‐specific immune response of large yellow croaker. Fish (6.16 ± 0.09 g) were fed twice daily to apparent satiation with diets containing 0.00 (as the basal diet), 0.01, 0.05, 0.25, 1.24 and 6.22 mg biotin kg?1 diet. Results showed that fish fed the basal diet had the lowest survival rate, and fish fed 0.05 mg kg?1 dietary biotin achieved significantly higher final weight and weight gain. Dietary biotin levels had no significant influence on carcass crude lipid, moisture and ash content, but significantly influenced the carcass crude protein. Liver biotin concentration significantly increased with the supplementation of biotin, but no tissue saturation was found within the supplementation scope of biotin. Broken‐line regression analysis of weight gain showed that juvenile large yellow croaker requires a minimum dietary biotin of 0.039 mg kg?1 for maximal growth. The analyses of serum parameters showed that the moderate‐ (0.05 mg kg?1) and high‐dose (6.22 mg kg?1) dietary biotin significantly improved both lysozyme and alternative complement pathway activities, indicating dietary biotin within a certain range could improve the non‐specific immune response of large yellow croaker.  相似文献

This study was conducted to determine dietary thiamine requirement of juvenile Sclizothorax prenanti and evaluate the effect of dietary thiamine levels on growth performance, body composition and haemato‐biochemical parameters for this fish species. The seven experimental diets were formulated to contain the graded levels of thiamine (0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 60 and 100 mg kg?1 diet, respectively), providing the actual dietary thiamine values of 0.31 (control), 9.82, 21.49, 29.83, 41.66, 62.24 and 114.58 mg kg?1 diet, respectively. Each diet was assigned to three replicate groups of S. prenanti (initial body weight: 13.46 ± 0.28 g, means ± SD) for 60 days. Increasing dietary thiamine level up to 21.49 mg kg?1 diet increased weight gain rate (WGR), specific growth rate (SGR), feed efficiency (FE) and protein efficiency ratio (PER) (< 0.05), beyond which they remained nearly unchanged. Similarly, hepatic thiamine concentration and several serum biochemical parameters (transketolase activity, triglyceride and total cholesterol contents) increased with increasing levels of thiamine up to 21.49 mg kg?1 diet (< 0.05) and, thereafter, remained almost constant. However, no significant differences in body composition (moisture, protein, lipid and ash contents) were found among dietary thiamine treatments (P > 0.05). Analysis by the broken‐line regression of WGR, SGR, FE, PER, hepatic thiamine concentration and serum transketolase activity indicated that dietary thiamine requirements in juvenile S. prenanti were 18.45–25.91 mg kg?1 diet.  相似文献

An 8‐week feeding trial was implemented to evaluate the effects of replacing fish meal (FM) with mussel (Cristaria plicata) meat (MM) on growth, digestive ability, antioxidant capacity and hepatic insulin‐like growth factor I (IGF‐I) gene expression of juvenile Ussuri catfish (Pseudobagrus ussuriensis). Three isonitrogenous and isolipidic diets were formulated to include 0, 177.5 and 355.1 g/kg of MM, accordingly, replacing 0% (M0, control), 50% (M1) and 100% (M2) of FM protein, respectively. The results showed that the final body weight, weight gain, specific growth rate and feed intake were gradually decreased with dietary MM protein levels increased, but there were no significant difference between M0 and M1 groups (p > 0.05). The protein efficiency ratio was increased significantly with dietary MM inclusion (p < 0.05). The apparent digestibility coefficient of dry matter, crude lipid and gross energy gradually increased with increasing dietary MM protein levels, but the apparent digestibility coefficient of crude protein was not significantly affected by MM protein supplementation (p > 0.05). Fish fed diet, M0 and M1 remained unaffected significantly on activities of alpha‐amylase and pepsin (> 0.05), but fish fed diet M2 had the highest activities of alpha‐amylase and pepsin. Fish fed diet M1 or M2 had significantly lower hepatic total antioxidant capacity, superoxide dismutase and the higher malondialdehyde level compared to fish fed diet M0. In addition, no significant difference was observed in hepatic IGF‐I gene expression level for fish fed diet M0 and diet M1, and fish fed diet M2 showed significantly lower hepatic IGF‐I gene expression level. Therefore, we can conclude that MM protein can successfully substitute 50% of FM protein without significantly negative effect on growth, nutrient utilization, and hepatic IGF‐I gene expression for juvenile Ussuri catfish, but the antioxidant capacity was negatively affected in the present study, what is more, the total replacement of FM by MM in diet may result in the inhibition of the growth and antioxidant capacity of fish.  相似文献

A two‐factor experiment was designed to determine the suitable dietary protein and lipid levels for juvenile Nibea diacanthus. Nine extruded pellet diets were formulated to contain three levels of protein (420, 470 and 520 g kg?1) and three levels of lipid (70, 110 and 150 g kg?1). Each diet was randomly fed to triplicate groups of 25 juvenile N. diacanthus (initial weight 12.12 ± 0.23 g) for 8 weeks in net cages. The results showed that weight gain rate (WGR), specific growth rate, final body weight and energy retention were significantly influenced by the dietary protein and lipid levels‐. The highest WGR (982.5g kg?1.) of N. diacanthus was found in the group with dietary protein and lipid of 520 and 150 g kg?1. Feed intake and feed efficiency were significantly impacted by the dietary protein levels. An interactive effect between dietary protein and lipid on the protein retention and protein efficiency ratio was observed. There were no significant differences in condition factor and survival among all treatments. Hepatosomatic index and viscerasomatic index of N. diacanthus were positively related with dietary lipid levels, but negatively with dietary protein levels. Crude protein, crude lipid, ash, moisture and energy contents of the whole body, muscle and liver were influenced by dietary protein and lipid levels. Moreover, total essential amino acid pattern of the muscle was correlated to those of dietary protein. Total protein concentration in the serum was affected by dietary protein and lipid levels. Meanwhile, both serum cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations increased with increasing dietary lipid levels. These results demonstrate that the diet containing 470 g kg?1 protein and 110 g kg?1 lipid is optimal for juvenile N. diacanthus and analysis of WGR by quadratic regression indicated that the estimated optimal protein‐to‐energy ratio for juvenile N. diacanthus was 24.53 mg protein kJ?1.  相似文献

An 8‐week feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effect of dietary cecropin on growth performance, non‐specific immunity and disease resistance of hybrid tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus × O. aureus). A basal diet was supplemented with 0 (control), 75, 150 and 225 mg kg?1 cecropin to formulate four experimental diets. The results showed that final body weight and specific growth rate obtained with diet 150 mg kg?1 cecropin were significantly higher (P < 0.05) than that obtained with diets 0 and 75 mg kg?1, whereas there was no difference between 150 and 225 mg kg?1. Feed conversion efficiency was improved by increasing the dietary cecropin content (P < 0.05). However, feeding intake was reduced as dietary cecropin increased. Serum lysozyme, alkaline phosphatase, catalase and superoxide dismutase activity were significantly increased with the increased levels of dietary cecropin (P < 0.05), and reached a maximum at level of 150 mg kg?1 cecropin, then those values no longer increased. Moreover, the dietary cecropin supplementation level also exhibited a decrease in the cumulative mortality rates compared with the controls when challenged with Aeromonas veronii. The results suggested that the dietary supplementation of cecropin could improve the growth, non‐specific immunity indicators and resistance of hybrid tilapia against A. veronii.  相似文献

A feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of dietary heat‐killed Lactobacillus plantarum L‐137 (HK L‐137) on growth performance, digestive, non‐specific immune and phagocytosis of sea cucumber, Apostichopus japonicus. Sea cucumbers (initial body weight 1.35 ± 0.04 g) were fed diets supplemented with five levels of HK L‐137 (0, 0.005, 0.025, 0.05 and 0.25 g HK L‐137 kg?1 diets) for 60 days. Results indicated sea cucumbers fed with diets containing 0.05 and 0.25 g HK L‐137 kg?1 diets showed significantly (P < 0.05) higher body weight gain and specific growth rate than other groups. Sea cucumbers fed with diets containing 0.05 and 0.25 g HK L‐137 kg?1 diets showed significantly (P < 0.05) higher protease activity than control group. Higher amylase, lysozyme and phagocytic activities were found in 0.25 g HK L‐137 kg?1 diet group. Higher superoxide dismutase enzyme and alkaline phosphatase activity was found in 0.05 g HK L‐137 kg?1. While no significant differences (P > 0.05) were found in acid phosphatase activity. These results suggested that dietary supplementation of 0.05 g HK L‐137 kg?1 diets would have benefit on growth, digestive enzymes and several non‐specific immune parameters of sea cucumber.  相似文献

This study was conducted to determine the effects of dietary α‐ketoglutarate (AKG) supplementation on the antioxidant defense system and gene expression of heat shock protein (HSP) 70 and HSP 90 in hybrid sturgeons Acipenser schrenckii ♀ × A. baerii ♂ exposed to ammonia‐N stress. A 2 × 3 factorial experiment was arranged, in which each diet (0%, 1% AKG) was randomly assigned to 0.25 (control) 5 and 10 mg L?1 ammonia‐N groups with three replicate aquaria for each 72 h. The 10 mg L?1 ammonia‐N significantly increased serum ammonia concentrations and intestinal Gln concentrations and GS activity compared with the 0.25 or 5 mg L?1 ammonia‐N groups. The intestinal Gln concentration and GS activity increased, and the serum ammonia concentration decreased, in fish given dietary supplementation of 1.0% AKG compared with fish given diets without AKG. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activity in serum, gills and intestines decreased when fish were exposed to 5 or 10 mg L?1 ammonia‐N, and their activity increased in fish given diets with 1% AKG. Catalase in the serum and gills decreased when fish were exposed to 5 or 10 mg L?1 ammonia‐N and increased in fish given diets with 1% AKG. The 10 mg L?1 ammonia‐N or 1% AKG supplementation increased HSP 70 and HSP 90 gene expression in the liver. The increased activity of antioxidant enzymes, and increased HSP 70 and HSP 90 gene expression in fish fed diets containing 1% AKG suggested higher tolerance to ammonia‐N stress.  相似文献

A study was conducted to determine the effects of dietary non‐protein energy sources on growth, tissue lipid accumulation and lipid metabolism‐related genes expression of grass carp. Triplicate groups of fish were fed for 9 weeks on four isonitrogenous (300 g kg?1) experimental diets with four levels of non‐protein energy (6.52 kJ g?1 control diet, 5.32 kJ g?1 high‐CEL diet, 8.46 kJ g?1 high‐CHO diet and 8.53 kJ g?1 high‐LIP diet respectively). Increasing dietary non‐protein energy source levels did not improve the growth, and the high‐CEL diet reduced the growth of grass carp. The high‐CHO diet tended to induce high hepatosomatic index, with high fat and glycogen content of liver. However, the high‐LIP diet caused the high mesenteric fat index, but did not increase liver fat. The mRNA abundance and activities of hepatic lipogenic enzymes were significantly increased in the high‐CHO diet group, whereas the opposite tendencies were observed in the high‐LIP diet group. Peroxisome proliferator‐actived receptor‐α (PPARα) in liver and PPARγ in mesenteric adipose tissue were up‐regulated in the high‐CEL diet group. Lipoprotein lipase (LPL) gene expression was significantly increased both in liver and mesenteric adipose tissue of fish fed the high‐LIP diet, while the LPL gene expression was up‐regulated in liver but down‐regulated in mesenteric adipose tissue of fish fed the high‐CEL diet. These findings suggest that an increase in dietary non‐protein energy sources alters the genes expression of lipid metabolism and increased lipid deposition.  相似文献

Six hundred Labeo rohita (average weight, 6.78 g) were distributed in 24 tanks (25 fish per tank), which were allotted to eight experimental groups in triplicates. Half of the experimental groups were maintained at ambient water temperature of 26 °C, whereas the other half were exposed to 32 °C for 1 week then later maintained at 26 °C for 4 weeks. Fish reared under different temperature regimes were fed one of the four diets containing 200 g kg?1, 300 g kg?1, 400 g kg?1 or 450 g kg?1 protein. Growth, feed efficiency and protein retention were higher at 32 °C and continued for the next 2 weeks after decreasing the temperature. The dietary protein level and water temperature interactions were more effective in modulating the response of hepatic glucokinase than that of hexokinase and pyruvate kinase. In contrast, hepatic gluconeogenesis was not affected by rearing temperature. Hepatic aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase activity was found higher (P < 0.05) at low temperature and at high protein level. It is suggested that the metabolic activities of fish are triggered by short‐term exposure to higher temperature and the increased metabolic activity extended for a duration of 3 weeks during which 400 g kg?1 dietary protein level was found to support growth of fish.  相似文献

This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary taurine on growth performance and feed utilization of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) larvae. Four plant protein‐based, isonitrogenous (400 g kg?1 protein), isoenergetic (19 MJ kg?1) diets supplemented with four taurine concentrations (0.0, 5.0, 10.0 and 15.0 g kg?1; designated as T0, T0.5, T1 and T1.5, respectively) were prepared. The diets were fed to triplicate groups of fish larvae (0.024 g average body weight), to apparent satiation, three times per day for 60 days. Larval growth rates and feed utilization efficiency were significantly improved with increasing supplemental taurine up to 10 g kg?1 and decreased with further taurine supplementation. The quadratic regression analyses indicated that the maximum larval performance occurred at about 9.7 g kg?1 of total dietary taurine. Fish survival was significantly lower at 15 g kg?1 dietary taurine than at other taurine levels. Body protein significantly increased, while body moisture and ash decreased, with increasing dietary taurine up to 10 g kg?1 and decreased with further taurine supplementation to 15 g kg?1. Body lipid was not significantly affected by dietary taurine concentration. A number of body amino acids (tryptophan, arginine, histidine, leucine, isoleucine, valine, alanine, glycine, threonine and taurine) significantly increased with increasing supplemental taurine up to 10 g kg?1 and then decreased with further increase in dietary taurine levels. The rest of body amino acids were not significantly affected by dietary taurine. The present results suggest that about 9.7 g kg?1 dietary taurine is required for optimum performance of Nile tilapia larvae fed soybean meal‐based diets.  相似文献

A 60‐day feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of feeding Houttuynia cordata leaf meal and extract on the growth performance, nutrient utilization and expression of insulin‐like growth factor‐I (IGF‐I) in Labeo rohita fingerlings. Two hundred seventy fingerlings were randomly distributed in six experimental groups in triplicates. Six isonitrogenous (350 g/kg CP) and isocaloric (17 MJ/kg DE) diets were prepared with graded levels of leaf meal (LM) and leaf extract (LE), namely C (control, without LE and LM), LE‐0.25 (2.5 g/kg LE), LE‐0.5 (5 g/kg LE), LE‐1.0 (10 g/kg LE), LM‐1.0 (10 g/kg LM) and LM‐2.0 (20 g/kg LM). Significantly (p < 0.05) higher IGF‐I expression, weight gain %, specific growth rate and lower feed conversion ratio were observed in LM‐1.0 followed by LE‐1.0 group compared to control group. Higher protease activity was observed in LE‐1.0 compared to other experimental groups, while no significant changes were found for amylase and lipase activities. Compared to control, muscle alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase activities were significantly higher in treatment groups except for LM‐2.0. These results suggest that either LE‐1.0 or LM‐1.0 can be supplemented in the diet to improve the growth of L. rohita. However, the supplementation of 10 g H. cordata leaf meal/kg feed can be the better option considering the cost of extraction.  相似文献

The imbalance of fish oil (FO) supply and demand has motivated efforts to identify an alternative for aqua feed. An 8‐week feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary fish oil partial replacement with mixed oil from linseed and lard (1:1) on growth, body composition and immunity when the N3 long‐chain polyunsaturated fatty acid (N3 LC‐PUFAs) requirement is met for Nibea albiflora. Two types of experimental diets were formulated with 100% fish oil (FO) or 69% mixed oil (Mix). The results indicated that the Mix diet significantly improved the specific growth rate (SGR), weight gain (WG), feed efficiency ratio (FER), muscle tissue growth hormone receptor (GHR), insulin‐like growth factor 1 (IGF1) and insulin‐like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF1R) gene expression of the yellow drum (p < .05). No significant difference in the survival rate (SR), feed intake (FI), hepatosomatic index (HSI), viscerosomatic index (VSI), condition factor (CF), N3 PUFA percentage, liver antioxidant enzyme activities or pro‐inflammatory gene expression was observed between the two treatments. Therefore, terrestrial blend lipid from linseed and lard could be used as an alternative for dietary fish oil without compromising growth performance and immunity for the juvenile yellow drum.  相似文献

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of fish meal (FM) replacement by Chlorella meal (CM) with dietary cellulase supplementation on growth performance, digestive enzymatic activities, histology and myogenic genes’ expression in crucian carp Carassius auratus (initial body weight: 2.90 ± 0.02 g, mean ± SEM). Six isonitrogenous diets were formulated at two cellulase levels (0 and 2 g kg?1). At each cellulase level, CM was added at three levels of 0, 533.1 and 710.8 g kg?1 to substitute 0, 75 and 100% of dietary FM respectively. Each experimental diet was randomly assigned to triplicate groups with 25 juvenile fish per fibreglass tank for 8 weeks. Dietary CM substitution significantly increased growth, feed utilization, amylase activity and the expression of Myod, Mrf4 and Myf5, but reduced the Myog expression. Dietary cellulase addition increased hepatosomatic and viscerosomatic index, lipase activity and the expression of Mrf4, but reduced trypsin activity and the expression of Myog and Myf5. Dietary CM substitution enlarged the cell size and also caused some karyopyknosis in liver. Our results showed that CM could totally replace FM in diets; dietary cellulase supplementation at the level of 2 g kg?1 played a subtle role in improving growth and feed utilization for crucian carp.  相似文献
