Precocious puberty is a major constraint to the economical rearing Eriocheir sinensis farming. Although dietary phospholipid (PL) and highly unsaturated fatty acids (HUFA) reportedly enhanced ovarian development in normal adult E. sinensis , it had opposite effects of reducing precocity in juveniles . This study investigated the effects of dietary PL and HUFA on survival, gonadal development and biochemical composition of precocious E. sinensis . Two diets with PL and HUFA supplementation (diet A) and deficient (diet B) were formulated and fed to precocious E. sinensis . Although no significant differences were found on survival and gonadosomatic index of crabs fed both diets, crabs fed diet B had significantly higher hepatosomatic index and hepatopancrean lipid content than crabs fed diet A. The percentages, 14:0, 18:1n-9, 20:5n-3 and 22:6n-3, in hepatopancreas, muscle and gonads were positively correlated to the diets. Interestingly, the crabs fed diet B accumulated significantly higher 18:2n-6 in gonads and muscle than those fed diet A. Furthermore, substantially higher 20:4n-6 was detected in the gonad and muscle than in the diets. These results suggested that dietary PL and HUFA had limited effects on male gonad biochemical composition. Meanwhile, the precocious E. sinensis may be capable of negating the negative effects of HUFA deficiency by enhanced tissue 18:2n-6 accumulation and converting 18:2n-6 to 20:4n-6.  相似文献

The effects of irradiance and photoperiod on the biomass and fatty acid (FA) composition of Chlorella vulgaris were examined in the exponential growth phase. Results indicated significant differences in biomass and FA at different intensities and photoperiods. Maximum biomass (2.05 ± 0.1 g l−1) was at 62.5 μmol photons m−2 s−1 and 16:8 h light/dark photoperiod. FA composition changed considerably in different light regimes; the maximum percentage of total saturated (SFA) (33.38%) was recorded at 100 μmol photons m−2 s−1 and 16:8 h photoperiod, while monounsaturated (MUFA) and polyunsaturated (PUFA) fatty acids decreased with increasing irradiance and light duration. The maximum percentage of total MUFA (15.93%) and PUFA (27.40%) was recorded at 37.5 μmol photons m−2 s−1 and 8:16 h photoperiod.  相似文献

This study investigated the effects of varying dietary levels of decosahexaenoic acid (DHA) on growth performance, proximate composition and whole body fatty acid profiles of juvenile silver pomfret, Pampus argenteus. Triplicate groups of fish (30.55 ± 0.08 g) were fed diets containing 5.2%, 9.31% and 13.38% DHA (% of total fatty acids) or 0.85%, 1.52% and 2.18% DHA on dry diet weight for diets 1, 2 and 3 respectively. Survival was not affected by dietary DHA levels. The growth performance and feed utilization parameters of fish fed diets 2 and 3 were significantly (< 0.05) higher than those fed diet 1, although these parameters in diets 2 and 3 did not differ significantly (P > 0.05). Whole body lipid and fatty acid profiles were influenced by dietary DHA levels. Significantly higher n‐3 fatty acids particularly DHA, DHA:EPA(eicosapentaenoic acid) ratios and n‐3:n‐6 ratios were observed in fish fed diets 2 and 3 compared to those fed diet 1. Better growth performance and higher whole body DHA:EPA (2.31, 2.29) ratios and n‐3:n‐6 ratios (2.17, 2.12) observed in fish fed diets 2 and 3, respectively, suggests that silver pomfret juveniles have a higher requirement for n‐3 fatty acids, notably DHA for optimum growth and survival.  相似文献

Blooms of toxic dinoflagellates of the genus Ostreopsis, which is known as a producer of palytoxin (PTX) analogs, may pose a threat to human health in tropical, subtropical, and temperate regions around the world. In the present study, we established a suitable culture method for Ostreopsis spp. isolated from Japanese coastal waters and characterized their growth potential using the method to discuss their bloom dynamics. Each clonal strain of Ostreopsis cf. ovata, Ostreopsis sp.?1, Ostreopsis sp.?5, and Ostreopsis sp.?6 was incubated in 25?×?150?mm test tubes with a flat bottom containing various kinds of medium. Since Ostreopsis spp. strains grew well in IMK and/or f/2 media, we selected these media for cultivation of all the Ostreopsis spp. isolates. Growth rates of O. cf. ovata (0.834?divisions/day), Ostreopsis sp.?1 (0.619?divisions/day), and Ostreopsis sp.?6 (1.04?divisions/day) that produce PTX analogs significantly differed (p?<?0.05) respectively and are clearly higher than those of other reported epiphytic dinoflagellate Gambierdiscus toxicus, Prorocentrum lima, and Coolia monotis cultures, which suggest that these species have ecological advantages to predominate through the algal succession in Japanese coastal waters, resulting in a potential risk to human health in this region.  相似文献

This study was conducted to investigate low‐cost substrate alternative and the optimum culture conditions in mass producing the local marine thraustochytrid, Schizochytrium sp. LEY7 isolated from the mangrove leaves of Baybay, Southern Leyte Philippines. Results showed that Schizochytrium sp. LEY7 is able to utilize commercial grade glucose and yeast extract from NaCl‐treated baker's yeast as source of carbon and micronutrients respectively. Cost of mass producing the thraustochytrid isolate using the alternative production substrates was substantially reduced. Incubation temperature and salinity levels were the two growth factors significantly affecting the biomass production of the isolate. The short duration of lag phase shown by the isolate suggests a growth advantage in that cells are readily able to adapt to their new environment. Total lipids averaged to 19.4%. Principal fatty acids were palmitic acid (C16:0) with 33.52% and docosahexanoic acid (DHA, C22:6n‐3) with 39.92% proportion to total fatty acid. Eicosapentaenoic (C20:5n‐3, 1.01%) and arachidonic (C20:4n‐3, 0.90%) are present but in relatively lower amount. Our findings showed the potential of low‐cost substrate in mass producing the local thraustochytrid isolate, Schizochytrium sp. LEY7 as lipid and polyunsaturated fatty acid source in aquaculture. Biomass production was enhanced by optimizing the culture conditions.  相似文献

The effects of enzyme supplementation on growth, body proximate, and fatty acid composition of great sturgeon Huso huso fingerlings were investigated. Multienzyme (Kemin?) was added to diet in different concentrations (0, 250, 500, 750, and 1,000 mg/kg). Fingerlings were randomly stocked in tanks and fed with the experimental diets three times a day at 5–10% body weight for 46 days. Fingerlings fed diets containing 250 mg/kg exogenous enzyme exhibited higher weight gain and specific growth rate. This level of enzyme in the diet significantly improved feed conversion ratio. Body protein and moisture decreased slightly when fish fed with enzyme-supplemented diets while fat increased. Fingerlings fed with 500 mg/kg enzyme in diet had higher contents of n-3 essential fatty acids and lower n-6/n-3 fatty acid ratio. Optimum growth performance in great sturgeon fingerlings can be obtained by 250 mg/kg multienzyme in the diet.  相似文献

为了探讨禁食对大黄鱼体成分、肌肉脂肪酸组成和血清生化指标的影响,从海上网箱选择规格相近、健康的养殖大黄鱼105尾[平均体质量(249.07±7.28)g]进行禁食实验,分别在实验开始时及禁食后第3、7、14、21、28、35、42和49天采集实验鱼肌肉和血液样品,进行肌肉营养成分和血清生化指标的测定。结果发现,随着禁食时间的延长,大黄鱼肌肉中水分和粗灰分含量呈现升高的趋势,粗脂肪含量呈现下降的趋势,粗蛋白含量在禁食后第21天下降后基本保持稳定;肌肉中饱和脂肪酸(SFA)和单不饱和脂肪酸(MUFA)含量均无显著变化,多不饱和脂肪酸(PUFA)和n-3系列高度不饱和脂肪酸(n-3HUFA)总量呈现下降的趋势。禁食后第3天血清中的谷丙转氨酶(ALT)、谷草转氨酶(AST)、乳酸脱氢酶(LDH)、葡萄糖(GLU)、钾离子(K~+)、钙离子(Ca~(2+))、钠离子(Na~(+)))和氯离子(Cl~-)含量显著上升;甘油三酯(TG)、总胆固醇(CHOL)含量显著下降;血清总蛋白(TP)、高密度脂蛋白胆固醇(HDL-C)、低密度脂蛋白胆固醇(LDL-C)和碱性磷酸酶(ALP)无显著变化。研究表明,随着禁食时间的延长,血清中除了Na~+和Cl~-含量出现波动性上升外,血清中的葡萄糖、蛋白质、脂类、K~+和Ca~(2+)含量以及血清代谢酶活性均出现波动式下降,表明大黄鱼禁食期间主要以脂类作为能量来源,体内营养物质代谢活动强度呈波浪形的起伏变化,随着禁食时间的延长机体代谢活动趋于减弱,但免疫功能和代谢机能未受到明显影响。  相似文献

The aim of the study was to evaluate the impact of supplementing feed with vegetable oil on the growth, blood biochemical parameters, and histological structures in the liver, intestines, spleen, and the chemical composition of juvenile pikeperch. The fish were fed isoprotein and isoenergetic feeds with 190 g kg?1 of fat. Feeds was supplemented with fish oil (FO), linseed oil (LO), or peanut oil (PO) in the same quantities (160 g kg?1). The fourth group of fish was fed commercial feed (CF). Feeding juvenile pikeperch with various lipid quantities did not result in differences in fish growth. The highest apparent protein retention and the lowest apparent lipid retention values were observed in pikeperch fed feed with LO. LO resulted in a low content of palmitic acid and high of α‐linolenic acid in the feed and was linked to a significantly lower lipid and higher protein content in the viscera, and pathological changes in the liver. Vegetable oils increased the viscerosomatic index value and activity in aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase, ceruloplasmin, and higher bilirubin content. Supplementation with vegetable oils in pikeperch feed lowered the content of eicosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic acids in fillets compared to feed with FO.  相似文献

This study was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of fish meal substitution by Chlorella vulgaris meal in the diet of Pacific white shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei. Experimental diets contained varying levels of fish meal (400, 300, 200, 100 and 0 g/kg) which was replaced by increasing levels of C. vulgaris (0, 97.2, 194.4, 291.6 and 388.8 g/kg). After 8 weeks of feeding trial, shrimp fed diet with 97.2 g/kg C. vulgaris showed significantly improved growth compared to other treatments including control. Similarly, shrimp fed diet with 97.2 g/kg C. vulgaris showed significantly higher amount of trypsin and amylase activities compared to other treatments. The contents of long‐chain polyunsaturated fatty acids including eicosapentaenoic acid, docosahexaenoic acid and arachidonic acid were significantly higher in the whole body of L. vannamei fed with different levels of C. vulgaris compared to those of control group. After exposure to hypoxia, the survival rate of shrimp fed diets contained different levels of C. vulgaris was higher than that of control group, while no significant differences were observed in ammonia tolerance among treatments. In conclusion, this study indicated that fish meal can be completely replaced with C. vulgaris in the diet of juvenile L. vannamei with no adverse effects on the performance of shrimp.  相似文献

Three formulated diets were tested to evaluate their effects on gonad quality in Paracentrotus lividus. Experiments were conducted in parallel by the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) of Taranto (trial 1) and the University of Genoa (trial 2), in land-based systems. In both trials, somatic and gonadsomatic index (GSI) were measured and the nutritional profile of the sea urchins has determined significant variations in the biochemical composition. Sea urchins fed the experimental diets contained higher levels of nutrients (protein and lipid and carbohydrate) compared to wild sea urchins. However, total polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), especially EPA and DHA, and the n-3/n-6 ratio were lower in urchins fed with formulated diets. In both trials, sea urchins fed with diet 2 (SABS) showed a similar profile with PUFAs higher than SAFAs and MUFAs, the highest UNS/SAT ratio, although the highest n3/n6 ratio was observed in the group fed diet 3 (CNR). Atherogenicity, thrombogenicity, and hypocholesterolemic/hypercholesterolemic indices showed the best values in sea urchins fed diet 2 in both trials.  相似文献

Aqueous extracts of green [Ulva lactuca Linnaeus and Enteromorpha intestinalis (Linnaeus) Nees] and red [Gracilaria corticata (J. Agardh) J. Agardh] seaweeds from the Persian Gulf of Iran were examined for their potential usefulness as components of microalga Isochrysis galbana culture medium against conventional f/2 medium. Isochrysis galbana was successfully cultured using the tested seaweed extracts (SWE) and exhibited higher or similar cell density and biomass when SWE were used as a supplement or an alternative medium respectively. When the SWE were used as an alternative medium, microalgal protein, lipid and ash content were similar but carbohydrate increased compared with control. Total saturated fatty acids decreased with a corresponding increase in total mono‐ and polyunsaturated fatty acids following supplementation of f/2 medium with SWE. Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) was not affected by SWE treatments but docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) tended to decrease, except for I. galbana cultured with U. lactuca extract. With the exception of potassium, SWE did not significantly impact the mineral content of cultured I. galbana. The study points to the potential usefulness of specific SWE in the production of microalgae as a food source in aquaculture.  相似文献

真鲷幼鱼摄食缺乏多不饱和脂肪酸(PUFA)饵料时,其生长增重率和存活率比摄食富含PUFA配合饵料或玉筋鱼鱼糜的明显下降。幼鱼摄食含有不同脂肪酸饵料时,其肌肉和肝脏组极性或非极性脂中脂肪酸组成都有变化。肌肉和肝脏极性脂中的PUFA比非极性脂中PUFA含量高,并且当饵料中不能提供足够的PUFA时,非极性脂中的PUFA下降明显,而极性脂中的PUFA变化较小,被优先贮存。真鲷幼鱼肌肉和肝脏组织缺乏n-9、n-6和n-3相互转化的能力。因此,为提高幼鱼的生长增重率和存活率,必须保证饵料中含有足够的PUFA。  相似文献

This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary lipid sources on the growth performance and fatty acid (FA) composition of juvenile shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei. Six isoenergetic and isonitrogenous semi‐purified diets containing casein, solvent‐extracted soybean meal and gelatin as protein sources, were supplemented with 60 g kg−1 of lipid sources. The lipid sources included: pollack fish oil (PO), pork lard (PL), soy oil (SO), peanut oil (PN), rapeseed oil (RO) and a mixture of pollack fish oil and soy oil (POSO 1 : 1 w/w). Each diet was fed to juvenile shrimp (0.10 g average weight) four times daily in triplicate tanks to apparent satiation (feeding ratio was about 8%) for 8 weeks. At the end of the experiment, weight gain, specific growth rate and protein efficiency ratio were significantly higher for shrimp fed the diet containing PO and the POSO mixture oil than the other lipid sources. The nutritional values of SO, RO, PN and PL were similar. Shrimp fed on PO, mixture oil of POSO and SO had better survival rates than the other lipid sources, and shrimp fed the PL had the lowest survival rate. There were significant differences in lipid contents of whole body and hepatopancreas amongst the dietary treatments; however, lipid contents of tail muscle were not significantly affected by the dietary lipid sources. Shrimps fed POSO diet had higher protein content in whole body than those fed the other lipid sources, and shrimp fed PO diet had highest crude protein content of the tail muscle. A high correlation was found between dietary FA composition and FA composition of whole shrimp. FA composition of the whole body was generally affected by dietary lipid sources, especially dietary unsaturated FA.  相似文献

The effect of amylase on growth performance, survival rate and proximate composition of Perinereis cultrifera was investigated. The amylase produced by Bacillus sp. was added to polychaete basal diets at three concentrations such as 50, 100 and 150 mg kg?1 in experiments I, II and III, respectively. After 90 days, polychaete receiving the diets supplemented with enzymes at 150 mg kg?1 showed significantly better growth performance and survival rate than those fed the basal diet (Control). Among these experimental animals, the maximum protein, lipid, carbohydrate and ash contents were recorded in experiment III, whereas moisture content was maximum in control and minimum in experiment III. The essential fatty acids such as palmitic acid (C16:0), margaric acid (C17:0), stearic acid (C18:0) and arachidonic acid (C20:4ω‐6) occurred at higher concentration in experiment group than in control. Thus, the amylase produced by Bacillus sp. significantly influenced growth, survival rate and proximate composition of P. cultrifera which has importance in aquaculture industry.  相似文献

The suspension‐feeding sea cucumber Cucumaria frondosa is widely distributed in cold waters and is commercially exploited in the North Atlantic. While the species is considered to have potential for aquaculture, its feeding and reproductive biology differs markedly from that of currently cultivated sea cucumbers. Here, for the first time, the influence of food sources on the condition of C. frondosa was experimentally tested. Individuals were fed with either diatoms or fish eggs for 3 months. Specific growth rate (SGR), organ indices, fecundity, gonad maturity and profiles of lipids and fatty acids (FA) in tissues were compared among treatments and with sea cucumbers collected from the field. Individuals fed with fish eggs showed higher SGR and organ indices than all other treatments. The highest proportion of large oocytes was also found in gonad tubules of females from the fish egg treatment, although individuals fed with diatoms were the only ones in which spontaneous spawning occurred. Moreover, gonad and muscle tissues of sea cucumbers from the fish egg treatment presented the highest levels of lipids and essential FA. In contrast, non‐fed sea cucumbers showed negative SGR, relatively low female fecundity and low concentrations of lipids and FA in tissues. While the fish egg diet presented several obvious benefits, phytoplankton remains an important source of carotenoids, which are vital for vitellogenesis in echinoderms. This indicates that mixed diets rich in lipids, essential FA and carotenoids can be further investigated to optimize growth and reproductive output of this species in captivity.  相似文献

试验以异育银鲫为研究对象,分别以日粮中添加5.4%鱼油、5.4%豆油、5.4%菜籽油、5.4%亚麻油为脂肪源,选择健康、规格、体质量基本一致的异育银鲫336尾,随机分为4组,每组3个重复、在可控温循环流水圆形蓄养槽内进行为期64 d的投喂试验,探讨不同脂肪源对异育银鲫生长、体成分及血清生化指标的影响。试验结果表明:豆油组及菜籽油组增重率、特定生长率显著高于鱼油组,豆油组肥满度显著低于鱼油组及亚麻油组,各试验组末均体质量、饲料系数、肝体比及脏体比均没有显著差异(P>0.05);各组间肌肉水分、粗脂肪、粗蛋白及粗灰分均无显著差异(P>0.05);不同饲料脂肪源对鱼体肌肉脂肪酸组成有显著影响,并且鱼体脂肪酸的组成与饲料脂肪酸的组成有很大相关性,其中鱼油组与菜籽油组有极显著相关性(P<0.01),豆油组显著相关(P<0.05);鱼油组的血清谷丙转氨酶、谷草转氨酶及碱性磷酸酶活性显著高于其它组(P<0.05);各试验组间胰岛素、皮质醇、总蛋白、白蛋白、球蛋白、白球比、血糖、胆固醇及甘油三酯均无显著差异(P>0.05);各组肉碱软脂酰基转移酶-Ⅰ(CPT-Ⅰ)、肉碱软脂酰基转移酶-Ⅱ(CPT-Ⅱ)、脂肪酶、乙酰辅酶A羧化酶(ACC)及脂蛋白脂酶(LPL)均无显著差异(P>0.05)。因此,日粮中添加一定量的豆油、菜籽油或亚麻油同样能取得良好的生长效果,为以后生产中以菜籽油或亚麻油替代豆油或鱼油提供了理论依据,节约了生产成本。  相似文献
