Protection of privacy and confidentiality

A multistate, cooperative program seeking to develop better methods for the effective and efficient gathering. storing, analyzing, and utilizing of mental patient records has made a comprehensive effort to protect the confidentiality and privacy of these psychiatric patient records. Administrative, technical, and legal safeguards have been implemented. The discussion of legal safeguards involves two areas: the protection of the system itself, located at Rockland State Hospital; and the specific legal environment of confidentiality and privacy of mental health records and information in the group of cooperating jurisdictions. On the whole, adequate legal and administrative protection can be afforded the confidentiality and privacy of an electronic data system in the mental health field, and access to the records can be restricted for the welfare of the patients. At the same time, access to aggregate data in the system can be allowed, under proper standards, for important research and planning purposes. The methods adopted by MSIS to preserve confidentiality and privacy by limiting access to such records could well prove an important model for the development of protective methods in other electronic data programs-not only those in psychiatry, but those in other fields where the data collected are sensitive and confidential.

EFL自主学习能力的现状调查及策略培养

为了解当前大学生英语自主学习能力的现状,笔者进行了相关调查,结果发现,多数学生学习自主性差,主要表现为学习计划意识欠缺,自我评估不够,学习方式单一,学习策略运用欠佳等。有鉴于此,笔者除讨论了学习自主性的理论和观点以及学习者的个体认知差异外,重点提出了改善社会学习环境、课堂策略培养、教师辅助课堂互动、小组协作学习、资源利用等培养策略。明确指出,提高学习者的自主学习能力是外语教学界的长期目标。     

微生态制剂概述

我国对微生态制剂的研究起始于７０年代，但最近几年才在生产中应用。１９９２年我国成立了中国微生态学会，并把微生态制剂及其应用技术列入国家“八五”科技攻关课题，推动了微生态制剂的应用研究工作。目前国内已有一批生产厂家研制出饲用微生态制剂，在实际生产应用中表现出明显的作用和效果。１微生态制剂的种类根据微生态制剂的用途及作用机制可分为：微生态治疗剂、微生态多功能制剂即微生物饲料添加剂、微生态助长剂等。根据微生物的种类又可分为：芽孢杆菌制剂、乳酸杆菌制剂、酵母制剂类、复合微生态制剂、双歧杆菌制剂和拟杆菌制…     

论第三财务报表的选择

在对第三财务报表演化的必然规律研究的基础上，针对中外会计信息的质量要求，对比、分析了现金流量表和财务状况变动表的性质、内容、结构。认为改进现行财务报表体系，应以现金流量表作为反映财务状况变动的首选报表。     

Peruvian desert mice: water independence, competition, and breeding cycle near the Equator

The native mouse of the Peruvian coastal desert, near latitude 6 degrees S, can survive on dry seed without drinking water, it bears young in winter, and it burrows in sand. House mice (which abound in other adjoining deserts) also tolerate dehydration, and in some areas may displace the native mice.     

抗生素联合使用对肉鸡呼吸道综合症治疗效果的影响

选用四种针对呼吸系统的抗生素,通过对发病鸡群进行集中饮水投药,对不同成分的抗生素在肉鸡呼吸道综合症中的治疗效果进行评价。结果显示：鸡群饮用10%阿奇霉素和10%替米考星后,死亡率降低10%,采食量提高了24%;饮用泰妙菌素和多西环素,死亡率降低7%,采食量提高14%;饮用单纯的泰妙菌素后,死亡率降低5%,采食量提高5%。结果表明：抗生素有选择的联合使用能有效提高肉鸡呼吸道综合症的治疗效果,降低产生耐药性的可能,能防治肉鸡饲养管理过程中出现的病症,降低总体饲养成本,提高肉鸡生产的经济效益。

Resolution on the use of animals in research, testing, and education

Reproduced here is the text of a joint resolution adopted in February 1990 by the American Association for the Advancement of Science's Board and Council that reaffirms AAAS support for the use of animals in scientific research. Supported by the AAAS Committee on Scientific Freedom and Responsibility, the resolution emphasizes the importance of animal research to human and animal welfare.     

场独立性/场依赖性与大学外语教学

场独立性(FI)与场依赖性(FD)是认识方式的两个主要方面。实验发现它们与外语学习有密切联系。FI显性者以目标明确型、分析型两种学习模式为主要表现方式;FD显性者则体现为交际型、依赖权威型学习模式。其学习模式互为交叉与循环。本文通过FI／FD在语言学习理论上的阐述及教学实验结果的综合分析,并结合我校大学生外语学习表现方式现状的比较性研究,认为较理想的外语学习方法应为FI／FD与4种学习模式间的均质循环与平衡。从而进一步强调场独立性与场依赖性在大学外语教学中的重要性。
